Currywurst was okay, curry sauce/ketchup was boring, the fries were quite good. Prices are fair so another three points. The location has something special for Munich.

Small, intimate place and good atmosphere. We come here especially for the curry wurst which is good and at a more than reasonable price (around 7 euros). Go there with your eyes closed.

Located right next to the Fraunhoferstrasse U-Bahn station entrance/exit. I decided to give the restaurant a try after reading positive reviews about their currywurst dish. It was very good! The restaurant is unpretentious. The food is good and inexpensive. The server was polite and professional. No language barrier issues as the server spoke excellent English. While the restroom looked out of a dystopian film, it was very clean. If you’re looking for a good currywurst dish, I recommend this place.

Best currywurst in Munich! Tastes awesome! The fries are perfect with it! The staff is very friendly. I also tried my sister's vegan sausage. So delicious! I absolutely cannot understand the negative opinions. The furnishings are very simple.

The Bergwolf is an institution. The Bergwolf menu with currywurst, hot sauce and ketchup/mayo is perfect for a late night visit. People don't come because of the atmosphere.

The worst beer in all of Bavaria. You can't offer that to anyone.

Currywurst brutal is ketchup with a bit of pepper. No clue how this is supposed to be sharp, let alone brutal Nice staff, great food, rustic atmosphere, if there weren't always such snobby customers who think they're better.

A no-frills currywurst stand that has retained the charm of days long past. The furnishings are limited to what is absolutely necessary, as is the menu. In return, the night owls can expect an outstanding and often life-saving currywurst with delicious fries and a nice light beer or pilsner fresh from the barrel at reasonable prices. Nice staff completes the overall impression.

This is the Pommes&Curry Wurst store that Munich locals go to! I've been eating Pommes & Curry Wurst here ever since I moved to Germany. Perfect for when you're hungry or as a filling before going to a club or bar!

Great value, fun and based atmosphere.

It is ok for a curry wurst after drinking, although it was a huge dish of fries and really few pieces of bratwurst. The atmosphere is ok, nothing special but I think for a beer early evening could be cool.

A budget place to eat in the heart of Munich. Located right at the entrance to the Fraunhoferstraße metro station. The main course is a classic currywurst with fried potatoes and a choice of sauces. You can also order salads and sausages. There are combos with food and drinks. Large selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at a reasonable price for the city center. The hours are open late, so this place is a great choice for those looking for a budget-friendly late night snack in the city center. The service is very nice and polite. They only accept cash, so be aware of this when visiting. The only complaint is about the overall design, it looks a little untidy, especially the toilet on the ground floor. It looks more like the restroom of a cheap teenage nightclub.

Had very good purulents with a damn good roll. Can be taken away super quickly, very nice, good-humored young man despite all the Oktoberfest visitors.

Friendly service, hot crispy fries, cold beer, the Bergwolf menu at a fair price for Munich, hardly any waiting time. What more could you want? And the mood was relaxed too. Cash payment should be mentioned and those who order downstairs also eat downstairs at the counter, but hey, that's how you get into conversation with people.

Loved the vegan options, beerquality and price were both really good! Very cozy place, and staff was very friendly. I would recommend this place to my friends!

18 Uhr rein. 18:01 Uhr Currywurst Pommes auf dem Tisch. Erst ein paar Pommes gegessen, dann Currywurst. Aber nur einen Biss. Sie war kalt, eklig. Übriggeblieben von der Mittagsschicht! Ergebnis: Lebensmittelvergiftung. Früher war der Laden mal gut.

I must have ordered wrong... I got curry fries at the cash register at the entrance and then wanted to sit down. Apparently, in order to sit, you have to order at the table. How should I know that? 😆 The nice (of course ironic) waitress loudly pointed out to us several times that we were not allowed to sit down. So loud that all the guests could hear it. Massively unpleasant... I don't have to admit that. Next time we'll have a sausage goodnight. I can also recommend the store. About the bergwolf itself: the fries are very tasty, the sausage is average

Yum yum, it was delicious. I don't know German, so I turned on the translator and looked at the menu, and they brought me an English menu. It was delicious. Payment is only possible in cash! It's right there when you come out of Exit B of the basement.

Best currywurst in Munich. I can only warmly recommend it. You can also try the medium-hot sauce if you're not a fan of spiciness. And it just looks really good there.

Not recommended when it comes to sausage. After 20 minutes of waiting for fries and Käsekrainer, I get the cardboard with less than 10 small sausage slices in my hand. There's only one ending, which means they didn't even let me have a whole Käsekrainer. For €4.70. Fries, as you can see in the picture, very nice, but the sausage was an absolute joke. I can only advise against ordering sausage.

A great place for a late night snack or for starting your night with some food in your stomach. Probably one of my favorite places to have Currywurst in town. The place caters to students, although is not as cheap as one would think from the decoration. But the prime location make it a good spot to grab a beer and have some Currywurst with fries.

The vegan currywurst is worse than a shoe sole. Instead of schmackofatz, more schmackonull. The price is higher than the rent in Charlottenburg, but instead of 100 square meters of old building, there is more of an 8 square meter basement.

this place is almost the only place youcan find late atnightto eat something in Munich. the food is normal in taste and quality and the place is not super clean, it is the only optionto eat. staff are nice and helpful. there is also english menu. there is not enough place to eat inside. the price is reasonable.

It's been around for a long time and there's a reason for that. Every now and then I get something out here for lunch. Fries and currywurst. The waitresses are always very friendly, the store... well, let's not say my world ;-)

The currywurst is great and simply delicious..., unfortunately the atmosphere is not really cozy. Tables and benches are too small, somehow the "dining room" is too dark, but the staff is friendly and that's half the battle.

I really liked the sausage (it tasted like it did when I was a kid at the butcher) and the sauce (slightly spicy). I also had the fries with it. New spot, whenever I feel like currywurst!

Best Currywurst in the entire world - let alone Munich! Not even the ones from Currywurst headquarters like Berlin, Bochum or Dortmund can compare! French fries are amazing as well. I recommend the special with Mayo and Onions - just mouthwatering! Service is super nice as well and the atmosphere perfectly matches the delicious fast food and Pilsner.

Great place to get your currywurst! I discovered the place when searching for “Best Currywurst in Munich” so I had to try it. Limited menu and of course I ordered their currywurst with fries, it was amazing! Both the sausage and the fries tasted very delicious and fresh! The place was smaller than I expected but it was still okay, would love it if it were brighter inside. The service was actually good it’s just that it would be better if they had more people. There was only one waitress serving all of us when I went there. She took all of our orders, delivered all of our orders, and did all the cashier for us. It was quite crowded when I went there so I had to wait for a while for my order to be taken as she was the only one doing everything for every customer. Great experience overall! Would definitely recommend!

The service in the seating area is very friendly and has a pleasantly rustic atmosphere as space is limited. The food was really tasty with really fair prices. Gladly again at any time.

When I joined a group later, it was never noticed; it was only when we waved after half an hour that someone came. Instead of 2 beers in 4 hours, I would definitely have drunk 4 beers and would have liked to eat something if the waitresses came to the table more often than once in 2 hours. Most of the time you just sit around with empty glasses. However, the food there is very good, as I know from a previous visit.

I discovered Bergwolf in my search for the best currywurst. I might not be the world’s expert on currywurst but this was incredible. Easily the best I’ve had. The Pommes Schrank was super delicious with hot, fresh and perfectly salted fries and the ketchup and mayo were in perfect proportion. The currywurst itself came with a generous amount of the sauce with a delicious brat. Of course the sauce is bold and satisfying, but doesn’t drown out the taste of the brat either. If you’re looking for the best currywurst in Munich (and possibly Germany) you should stop here.

In 2024, a sign saying “cash only” sends you to the ATM 10 minutes away. If you don't pay appropriately when you pay in BAR including a tip, you will be picked on. Only to be thrown out of the dining room when the sausage wasn't even really good because consumption inside was not allowed due to different VAT rates.

I used to go there more often because the currywurst and especially the fries were really good. After my visit today I was disappointed, the fries were kind of mushy and the currywurst seemed to be half a sausage. In addition, the waiter couldn't tell the difference between a light beer and a cellar beer. I hope that was just a slip-up or the wrong timing of my visit. I've always preferred the Bergwolf so far, but next time I'll probably give preference to the neighboring restaurant ;)

My curry sausage had already seen its best - probably several hours ago. Fries and sauce were absolutely okay, but not a highlight in my opinion.

The to-go guy was super friendly, but the service was super slow with so few tables (which were already served except for one other) and after just under 10 minutes there was no need to serve new guests. A pity!

Great way to eat something late in the evening. Currywurst fries taste great, the veggie sausage is very good in my opinion. The ambience is a bit run down, but that's not what I'm here for.

Die Currywurst ist echt gut und auch sehr spät gibt’s noch was zu essen. Currywurst natürlich in rot und weiß erhältlich - beide gut.

+++ Problem erledigt und bin wieder gerne zu Gast ====== Extrem oft keine Veggi Gerichte! Vor corona hatte ich noch Verständnis, mittlerweile verstehe ich nicht wie eine Wurst ausverkauft sein kann, die 4 Wochen haltbar ist. Aktuell würde ich sagen, geht besser woanders hin wenn ihr keine Veggi Wurst wollt.

Limited menu is made up for by freshness and quality. Staff all very pleasant, and decent value for Munich. Always a good spot to swing by.

We shared a plate of currywurst and the fries were really amazing! High recommend as a (pre-meal) snack if you love fries.

Wie gewohnt wird man freundlich empfangen und schnell bedient. Die Gaststätte ist zwar klein, hat aber eine angenehme und ruhige Atmosphäre. Ich komme aber zum wichtigsten und wofür die Gaststätte berühmt ist, die Currywurst. Sie war sehr frisch und sucht geschmacklich, vorallem aufgrund der hausgemachten Soße ihres gleichen und ist für mich die beste Currywurst der Stadt. Des weiteren finde ich das Angebot der extra Soße sehr gut, da ich jemand bin, der vorallem Currywurst gerne darin ertränkt. Klare Empfehlung.

Currywurst leicht scharf war ungenießbar. So scharf das ich sie entsorgen musste. Und heute den ganzen Abend Magenschmerzen. Preis abartig teuer. Currywurst mit Brötchen 4.60 für 6 Stücke Wurst.
