Great place, we spontaneously went there with a group. Very friendly and flexible hosts. We'd love to go back.😊

Quaint inn, also frequented by locals, good atmosphere, everyone knows everyone... food is hearty and plentiful.

Unfortunately, we were not given a basis for a proper assessment of the place, as we were received by a man who was clearly not having his best day. When one of us (we are four adults) was not in the mood for either food or drink, he became downright rude. We chose to leave the place and we felt directly harassed, as the one who could not bear anything was accused of taking up space for others. We were looking forward to a pleasant evening, and the intention was to come back a couple of days later for dinner, but there will definitely be no return to this place. We have been many times by the Rhine and have never experienced anything like this before.

We chose this small restaurant based on the positive reviews. It wasn't a good decision for us. From the very first moment, we felt unwelcome. The proprietor was very unfriendly toward us. After "only" three of four people ordered something to eat and drink, the fourth person was rudely informed that this was a restaurant and that they shouldn't take anyone else's seat. We were very surprised by these comments and cannot condone such behavior toward guests. We canceled our meal, paid for our drinks, and left together. Therefore, we cannot rate the food, although it may have been good.

Extremely rude. There were four of us in the barn, including two friends from Norway. They dared to push two tables apart a little to make room for two more guests. A big mistake according to the waitress (presumably the owner). The tone was awful. Drinks arrived. When ordering food, one person didn't order anything. She did the same with the drinks. She had her reasons. Everyone else ordered. The waitress replied: "We're a restaurant, and we're eating here." She only took a direct quote: "Parking space." With that, the "Handkäs" was gone and the cup overflowed. We left. We'll never visit the place again.

Great little restaurant, whether for a meal with the most delicious gypsy schnitzel ever 😀 or just for a freshly tapped beer at the bar. Friendly owners – a lovely place to unwind and relax.

Quaint shop with charm and heart. But incredibly nice people behind the bar and in front with truly fantastic cuisine. The food is incredibly good. The draft beer is delicious. The wines are excellent. The digestifs are fantastic, and the owner even buys one for you. Plus, it's great to have a chat about mopeds and life with everyone. The music is great, too 🤗 The Furys were just playing 🤗

Very rustic, simple atmosphere, no chic. To be honest, I had other plans but unfortunately the one I wanted was closed. At first I thought it was just a bar. But far from it, the menu is manageable with slices and schnitzel dishes etc. But: The salad was super fresh and delicious. The schnitzel from the butcher, fried crispy, not deep fried. There were also a few daily specials on the menu and lots of Lorchers who started the weekend with a glass of wine or a beer with a delicious dinner. THAT speaks for quality. The service was super attentive, warm and I felt very warmly welcomed even as a single guest. Wine from the young winemaker and at the end a vineyard peach liqueur 😋 A nice, cozy, relaxed evening, definitely try it out if you get hungry in Lorch!

A family-style restaurant, it is a very familiar restaurant that nearby residents often visit with their families. Or a place to have a drink and hang out with friends in the evening. I ordered Vienna pork chop and fish steak, both tasted good. If you are near Lorch, you can try it

I actually just wanted to have a quick beer, but then I stopped and had a great chat with a few regulars. A successful evening.

Typical rustic pub with nice regulars and a great host. A small dog is part of the inventory and likes to be scratched. Portion is large and fills you up well. Everything very clean.

This is how gastronomy has to be! Delicious and plentiful food after a long hike. Super friendly owners, great service. This is how hiking on the Rheinsteig is fun!! Price performance top! We'll be back.

The top destination in Lorch for a delicious dinner with friendly staff. The food tastes extremely delicious, especially the burger is recommended. I can really recommend a visit here to everyone, it will certainly be worth it.

I stopped in for a nightcap beer on the way home to my accommodation and then stayed longer because it was soooo nice 🤩 Very nice conversations with boss and guests. Because I didn't know that there was a good vegetarian/vegan menu, I ate somewhere else beforehand. Regrettable! So definitely ask, it's worth it!

Visually it looks like a “normal” snack bar, but the food is made with love and is of really good quality. The wine from the neighboring winery is well selected and very tasty.

Small cozy pub in Lorch / Rhine. Very familiar and a small, but definitely fine menu.

Super nice staff, great food and fair prices. Can only be recommended. The baptism party was organized very well. Everything was very lovingly decorated.

We took a short vacation in Lorch and the "Insider" became our favorite restaurant in the evening. The food was always very well prepared and really great. The boss is also happy to accommodate special requests. In addition, there is an excellent wine selection with top wines from “Graf von Kanitz”. The atmosphere and the friendliness towards all guests is exemplary. Many thanks to the entire team including the regulars' table. We would be happy to come back and would be happy to recommend this nice restaurant. Thanks.

3 stars for food and drink, +1 star for dog-friendliness! We came here for the second time in a short space of time. The Wisper Trails make you thirsty and hungry. What should be highlighted positively is that the owners have a cute terrier themselves, so there is no problem coming there with a dog. There is also a regulars' table for the "natives" there - so it's not just a tourist shed. The food is good home cooking (schnitzel etc.), the prices are moderate. The Handkäs is supposed to be really good (as someone in our group stated). The restaurant is tidy and clean - but there is always the smell of toilet stones wafting from the toilets. This is a little uncomfortable. The "cash register system", which presented itself to us as College Block A4, also needs improvement. But all in all: clear recommendation! Nice operators who put their hearts into it. Gladly again!

Insider is a locals gathering spot for beer and wine, conversation with old friends and the dinners are tasty and arrive quickly. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

The slightly different “pub”!! Good food, at absolutely fair prices! Excellently prepared! Portions right size! Even if you are just thirsty, you are welcome and well served! Service on the ball and always friendly. Highly recommended even in times of Corona!!

A neat little restaurant in Lorch. Good home-style German cuisine. Quality, portion size, price are consistent and absolutely appropriate. Friendly atmosphere, won't be the last visit. Still have to make an addition. I recommend using mint as a side dish with fried potatoes. A taste explosion (personal opinion and taste sensation).
