Gasthof Kocherbähnle in Gaildorf

Since the change of ownership, dogs are no longer allowed, for no apparent reason. We arrived after a funeral as part of a larger group and weren't allowed to bring the family dogs. Our request to set up a table outside was ignored. The tables were still in the garage (a bit odd on a sunny day at the end of March). We've been regular customers for years. This is unacceptable behavior for us, especially after a bereavement. Furthermore, the food is mediocre at best, and many of the side dishes are frozen. There are few to no options for vegetarians or vegans. This was our last visit to the Kocherbähnle.

Very good German restaurant with great dishes on the menu. Portions are more than plentiful and the quality is very good. Everyone is sure to find something suitable for themselves. Service was very friendly and fast, although the restaurant was very busy it didn't take long until the food was on the table. Absolute recommendation 👍

Very nice restaurant, good food, very friendly service. I stayed there one night in a single room. The room was clean and quiet. Very reasonably priced, but with a touch of 70s charm. Still recommended.

Erstes Mal am Freitag da gewesen und sicherlich nicht das letzte Mal. Einfach sehr gut. Bin 30 Minuten später als alle anderen gekommen und die Küche/Service hat es so mega organisiert, dass wir trotzdem alle zusammen essen konnten.

Highly recommended, friendly helpful reception, good breakfast buffet. Very good beds for a restful sleep.

Food and service were top! I'd love to come back

Personally it wasn't mine at all. Very expensive for little taste. Employees overwhelmed and very long waiting times for small things such as ketchup etc.

Our spontaneous meal out was rewarded with delicious food and very friendly service. It's a shame that it will only be open until mid-December 2023 under the current owners. Let's wait and see what happens from March 2024 onwards.

I don't know where to start with the review. Maybe because there are enough and well-marked parking spaces. When we pulled in, we immediately noticed that I had rarely seen such a clean restaurant. You can look into the kitchen on the side, everything is incredibly clean there too, with an estimated 60-70% capacity of the restaurant. Maybe more. We were immediately welcomed in a very friendly manner. The drinks and the starter salad came very quickly. The drinks available are well selected and popular in the region. The main course took about 20 minutes to prepare. The food was very nicely prepared. It tasted as good as it looked. Conclusion. Kitchen service and everything that goes with it is an absolute 10/10. We will definitely come more often!

Very good home cooking... The Kocherbähnle has now been taken over by a new owner. The toilets are now on the ground floor. Therefore you no longer have to walk stairs. Ordered Swiss sausage salad for €16.90. Delicious. Picking up right where the old kitchen left off. Still a great terrace behind the house.... Keep it up!

I ate a roast roast, I ordered fried potatoes with salad, and I got spaetzle. Plus a French red wine, the selection is very limited. The wine didn't have a recommended temperature, it was definitely 26 degrees Celsius. My wife had Sous RIP in wild garlic and vegetables. A piece of meat with an empty rib (think maybe as decoration) I have no idea. The wild garlic was a mash with two mini florets of cauliflower. The taste wasn't bad, but I got diarrhea and had to spit up this morning. I won't be visiting this place again for a while.

The food is high quality and absolutely delicious. There were four of us and everyone was absolutely convinced and amazed by their menu. The staff is friendly, courteous and attentive. The ambience is simply great. We'll be back 🙂

Stayed there for one night during a bike tour. Consistently positive. Rooms are probably still being renovated, but are spacious and very clean. The breakfast was really very satisfactory for a smaller hotel. Overall also really great service and good people The restaurant has a delicious menu with fish, meat and vegetarian options. Everything is really fair in terms of price. I liked it

This was our first visit after the conversion or renovation. The rear entrance (also the entrance for hotel guests) has been redesigned and very attractive. Automatically opening doors make work easier for service personnel. The interior was also very beautiful. No assessment can be made about the rooms as we were only guests in the restaurant area. The food consumed was delicious and met our expectations.

We were here again today for the first time in probably 7 years. And I have to say, it was very good. The renovation and redesign of the guest room were extremely successful. The toilets are very clean and technically at an excellent level. I've never seen anything like that before. The food was super delicious. The service was nice and quick. I can't find anything negative. We'd love to come back.

Kocherbähnle under new management in a new look. A combination of new and trendy looks with a “historical” look. Food very tasty and prices reasonable. The “outdoor” season will certainly be nice again on the great terrace 🌞🤩

After the reopening, the kitchen table will probably still have to be found. A side salad costs €5.20 and is either expired or too spicy. The food comes to the table one at a time with long breaks in between. There is still potential to return to the old quality!

This restaurant is closed. It won't reopen until March with new owners.

After a long day, I wanted to check in and maybe have something to eat downstairs. Food didn't work because of a rest day. The room was okay, except for the fact that there was already trash in the trash can. Feather pillow was not replaced with a pillow suitable for allergy sufferers. Accordingly, I didn't sleep that well. Bathroom was one of the better ones. You could also place your weekender elevated in the room entrance area so that you can then spread it out effectively and pack it up again later. Breakfast was also okay.

Very good food, friendly service, I can only recommend it if you don't want to drive too far. It is unfortunately unfortunate that this restaurant is closing on December 15th, 2023. One can only hope that the new owner continues this.

Sehr nettes Hotel/Lokal mit großer Gartenterrasse. Die Speisekarte bietet neben den gängigen Speisen wie Gordon Bleu oder Käsespätzle auch echt schwäbische Raritäten wie saure Kutteln oder Rinderbäckle! Die Portionen sind richtig üppig und richtig lecker! Die Preise sind völlig in Ordnung für solch eine Qualität. Die Bedienungen sind freundlich und zuvorkommend. Leider ist es ein bisschen versteckt - man muss sich Richtung Kocherwiese orientiern. Wie das Hotel ist weiß ich nicht, wir waren nur essen Alles in allem kann ich das Restaurant Kocherbähnle sehr empfehlen!

War hier zum Essen und es war alles sehr gut von dem Angebot bis zu den Speisen und dem Service. Schon mehrfach hier gewesen und jedesmal war alles perfekt.

Trotz zu später Anreise ein sehr netter Empfang! Super Essen, gutes Frühstück, nettes Personal, Lademöglichkeiten Ebike ohne Probleme. Gerne wieder!

Wir haben hier auf dem Jagst-Kocher-Radweg übernachtet und waren sehr zufrieden. Die Zimmer sind zwar etwas in die Jahre gekommen, dafür ist viel Platz und es ist sehr sauber, die Betten waren auch bequem. Die Gastgeber sind wahnsinnig freundlich und hilfsbereit und das Frühstück war klasse, mit allem, was man sich wünschen kann, klare Empfehlung 😊.

Nettes, urig schwäbischer Gasthof mit schönen, liebevoll eingerichteten Zimmern und ausgezeichneter, regionaler Küche.

Wir gehen immer wieder ins Kocherbähnle zum Essen. Seit Jahren ist das Essen gut und beständig tolle Qualität. Auch die Wirtsleut und der Service ist sehr freundlich. Angenehme Atmosphäre.

Kann die tolle Bewertungen leider nicht ganz verstehen. Essen war gut aber leider zuviele künstliche Zusätze, so das ich es nicht vertragen habe. Bedienung war etwas ruppig aber das ist wohl im Schwabenland oft so. Ambiente ist rustikal, wie eben ältere Wirtschaften so sind.

Ontvangst is netjes en prettig. De kamer is netjes, de badkamer wat knap. Het eten was heerlijk en ondanks dat het helemaal vol zat was de bediening snel en goed. Het restaurant is knus. Het ontbijt van in buffetvorm, maar wel met naar wens, spiegelei of een gekookt ei . Broodjes waren supervers. Kortom: een prima overnachtingsstop.

Bisher war das Essen immer super, aber beim letzten Mal waren wir schon etwas enttäuscht. Die Bedienung wirkte lustlos, war aber trotzdem freundlich. Die Portionen beim Essen sind kleiner geworden und die Spätzle waren uns zu "al dente" und viel zu wenig. Ansonsten hat das Essen sehr gut geschmeckt.
