Very tasty food. Gyros and co taste perfect. The waitress just needs to speak German a little better and, above all, understand it. But definitely worth a visit

Food OK so far. Farmer's salad ordered, green salad with ready-made sauce came. Food prices and drink prices are unjustifiably high.

No card payment. Breakfast only from 9 a.m. and for an additional charge.

SEHR einfache Gästezimmer über einem ruhig gelegenem griechischen Restaurant mit sehr guter und durch empfehlenswerter Küche, wenn da nicht ein gewaltiges aber elementares Problem wäre: Language! Please dear people: learn German and at least the basics of the hotel and restaurant business. It was almost sad to watch how the supposed children of the owners struggled with their tasks with poor knowledge of German. The house and the menu have huge potential if it could be used... Without language it threatens to fail, and that would be more than a shame because each of the employees made a nice and friendly impression if you could understand them yourself, and most importantly, they would understand you themselves....

Inn is exactly the name this place deserves. The dining room is very cozy and comfortably furnished, with comfortable tables and benches. the food is excellent. The room is equipped with very comfortable beds. There is a television and enough sockets to charge any cell phones you carry with you (I have already seen hotels that did not have a free socket). The bathroom serves its purpose in the 80s style, the water pressure is good. Really good performance for the price. The photo is a panoramic photo, you can forgive the quality, the room looks better than it appears in the photo. The breakfast is delicious and filling. Everything is good and freshly prepared by the boss herself. I can highly recommend the Seelbacher Hof.

The food is really delicious and the portions are decent. You really get full here. A gyro plate costs around €17. It's a little more expensive but you get a lot for it. The service is very nice. The salad isn't exactly my cup of tea, but it was still okay. There are plenty of free parking spaces directly at the restaurant and several others in the area. The restaurant is designed in a beautiful old German style, probably from before the owner I can't say anything about the hotel, I haven't been a guest there yet.

I ordered via delivery service. The order came quickly and the delivery person was very friendly. Everything looked good too. Well, unfortunately the liver was raw and creamy inside. The second piece was okay, but unfortunately not seasoned. The lamb chop was fried dry and unfortunately not seasoned. The gyro was delicious. The tzatziki was too "quiet" for my taste, but that's just my taste. The side salad was perfectly fine. The best thing was the roasted potatoes with garlic. Simply delicious. I would say, all in all okay. Maybe you should take a few minutes longer to prepare it. Then it would most likely be perfect.

Nice, attentive service, the food was okay, no highlight, the salad was fresh. Rating reduced because payment is still only possible in cash.

We were “only” in the restaurant. The food was very tasty and plentiful. Price-performance is right. We'd love to come back.

The worst food I've ever eaten. Fries were lukewarm and too salty, pizza base was hard to cut, alcoholic beer was given even though non-alcoholic was ordered. The glass with drink was cracked. It was clear that the new operators had no idea about gastronomy. For a few weeks now, there have been new tenants at Seelbacher Hof, and unfortunately Greek cuisine isn't much better than its predecessors. Not having three drinks from the menu. The meat was drowning in the sauce. Paying took forever because the innkeeper wrote everything down on pieces of paper and then added it all up. Unfortunately, the new tenants also have little knowledge of gastronomy

Become a new tenant on February 1st, 2024. Greek cuisine, mega portions, fair price and super nice service.

After a strenuous day, I wanted to end the day at the Kocherbähnle inn and, if necessary, have something to eat downstairs. Food didn't work because it was a rest day. However, the owner kindly poured me a beer so that I could eat my meal with a beer upstairs. The "better room" was not good and far from what I would consider "better". Considering that I wrote in the booking: “No feather bed linen”, there was again a feather pillow on the bed. That's an absolute no-go. I didn't sleep well here because the surrounding neighbors had their TVs on quite loudly and the walls were so loud that you could hear everything. I have no idea when the tiles in this room were last cleaned. However, the color of the joints suggests that it was a while ago. The fan extraction in the bathroom makes a lot of noise, but it should extract properly, but I haven't tested it, nor the shower and the tap, let alone its output (I helped myself out with mineral water). The fuse box with a taped fuse, as well as the manipulation of the fire protection equipment, do not exactly inspire trust. I can't give points for the untested socket box on the bed, the TV where the batteries in the remote control are leaking, nor the smoke detector or the remains in the ceiling light. I had booked a double room including breakfast. The breakfast was minimalistic, but sufficient. The price-performance ratio is definitely not there here. Rooms old and unclean. Unfortunately there is no more catering as there are new owners. The highlight was the breakfast ordered the evening before. Kitchen closed and no one there! Never again!

That really rocked for 80 euros per night. You have to accept it like that. no one in the hotel can change anything... it's a shame... it's no longer normal...

We ordered food and picked it up ourselves. Unfortunately we didn't like it at all.

It's a bit of a strange hotel that doesn't put much emphasis on cleanliness, the beds aren't made, you have to get toilet paper yourself and not to mention the animals in the room, and that for a high price, I don't need to go there anymore! !!!

Had dinner there this evening. Price performance was top. Service was very friendly, food came quickly and was tasty. We will come back in any case.

Unfortunately the service is a disaster. The drinks took forever to prepare. The Altbier with Cola we ordered was a normal Cola beer (most likely because the extremely overwhelming, inexperienced waitress didn't even know what Altbier was) and the sour apple cider was extremely watery. We waited well over 45 minutes for our pizzas, even though the remaining 18 guests in the restaurant had already eaten. Annoying, as the order was only taken 20 minutes after we received our drinks and was only done at our request. The pizzas tasted okay, nothing special and slightly oversalted. After the meal, our plates weren't cleared and no one came to our table, so we couldn't order drinks or dessert. When we asked, we finally got paid. This process again took significantly more time than usual. By the way, our empty plates were still on the table at this point (we had now stacked them in the middle), but that didn't bother the waiter at all. Conclusion: Absolutely poor service quality and felt lack of experience in the catering industry. I hope the operator takes the criticism of all the reviews here to heart and urgently trains his staff. Until then, this will be my first and last visit under the current owner - a shame.

The staff was very friendly, the food was overall quite tasty, unfortunately my sauce was a bit too salty. The restaurant has a bowling alley in the basement, which was occupied when we visited. Since we were only there to eat, that wasn't a problem for us I think the place could use more ambience... otherwise a nice inn

We had it delivered It was the best citizen and pasta I have ever ordered. The price is great for the quality offered and the delivery time was earlier than stated, you can't do better than that, keep it up.

Neue Besitzer heißt nicht immer dass es schlechter ist. Nudeln und Pizza sind auch nicht schlecht. Aber Schnitzel, wofür der Seelbacher Hof bekannt war bisher sind unterirdisch. Fertigschnitzel in Maggisoße. Die Pommes waren ganz ok, aber da kann man kaum etwas falsch machen. Der Salat hat ein Dressing, dass eher einem Quark ähnelt und auf dem Salat sitzt. Geschmack hier Fehlanzeige. Italienisches Essen ist ok, alles andere ist Schrott. Warum muss man Schnitzel anbieten, wenn man es nicht kann. Dann lasst es besser als so einen Schrott zu verkaufen!

Die Zimmer sind schon sehr betagt und leider nicht mehr wirklich Stand der Technik. Frühstück war ok, man bekommt einen Teller mit 2 Brötchen und etwas Wurst/Käse/Marmelade. Der Service und die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und engagiert. Leider hat bei uns das WiFi vom Hotel nicht funktioniert. Alles in Allem in Ordnung wenn man für 1-2 Nächte eine günstige Unterkunft braucht, mehr aber auch nicht.

Sehr versteckt, mitten in einem Wohngebiet. Positiv ist, man kann auch nach 22 Uhr einziehen, selbst wenn niemand mehr arbeitet. Ablageort für den Schlüssel wird telefonisch bekannt gegeben. Da unser Navi uns gerne etwas von "Herborn by night" zeigen wollte, waren wir erst gegen 23:15 vor Ort. Die Zimmer sind eine Reise zurück in die 80er/90er. Wir hatten für 2 Personen 1 Duschhandtuch und 1 "normales" Handtuch. Wenn beide morgens duschen eine echte Aufgabe. Das Bett hatte 2 verschiedene Matratzen und 2 verschiedene Bettbezüge. Wir haben in dem Bett aber wirklich gut geschlafen. Erholsam war es. Und durch die Lage, nachts sogar extrem ruhig. Im Badezimmer grüßt der Alibert-Schrank aus den frühen 90ern. Wer auf gefliesten Boden und 80er-Style steht, ist hier goldrichtig. Uns wurde am Telefon extra nochmal mitgeteilt "Das ist aber ohne Frühstück". Ja, war vorher schon deutlich in der Anzeige dargestellt. Für die gelieferte Qualität ist der Preis von 75€ in meinen Augen definitiv zu hoch. Wenn man die Reise in die 80er dazurechnet könnte es wieder passen. Die wollte ich allerdings gar nicht. Wir haben in Anbetracht der Ausstattung herzhaft gelacht. Damit rechnet man ja 2023 nicht mehr. Fazit deshalb: Auch recht spät erreichbar, geruhsame Nacht, aber dringend renovierungsbedürftig. Ansonsten definitiv zu teuer.

Durch die neuen Besitzer hat die Qualität des Essens leider sehr nachgelassen. Viel zu teuer für normale Standart Gerichte, die auch nicht besonders gut schmecken. Der Service ist aber top und nette Bedienung.

!!! ACHTUNG NEUE BESITZER !!! Das Essen insbesondere die Schnitzel kommen leider nicht an die alte Qualität herran. Der Service war sehr nett und zuvorkommend allerdings wird dieser von dem eher durchschnittlichen Essen überdeckt. Meine Rahmsoße war leider eher fad und die Pommes brauchen mehr Gewürz.

Rooms are okay .. but it is located in seelbach.. 4kms from herborn.. but while booking it is showing as if it was in herborn.. also . Hotel is closed till 25th August.. but.. I did not understand how they accepted to provide accommodation to me from 24th itself..

Stayed there for two days.. unfortunately during those days hotel is closed... So along with me... Only one other room is full.. I don't understand why they accepted the booking if the hotel is closed.. important thing is about the location.. it is not in herborn.. it is in seelbach.. but while booking the hotel it showed as it was in herborn... but in reality it is in seelbach 5 kms away from herborn... For the first timer like me... It's very difficult..

Saubere, gepflegte angemessenes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Kegelbahn leider relativ laut und deutlich hörbar in den Zimmern.

Liebevoll, rustikal. Ein altes, sehr sauberes Hotel mit guter Schlafqualität. Sehr nette Mitarbeiter/innen. Hier habe ich mich sehr wohl gefühlt und komme bei meiner nächsten Dienstreise gerne wieder. Das Essen im Gasthof ist sehr gut mit großer Portion, das Frühstück vom Hotel auch super. 👍
