Gasthaus Zum Lärcheneck in Ilmenau

Cozy country inn with good Dingsleben beer! Food is OK, nothing special. The service comes across as a bit cold and basically doesn't serve anyone on the terrace. Reservation recommended as it's not big inside.

We weren't there often, but we enjoyed being with you. One of the last inns in the region where you could get authentic Thuringian cuisine in an authentic ambience. It's a shame that the death of inns is progressing in favor of "national" property managers and that the identity of the Rennsteig is once again falling victim to greed for profit.

Polite, friendly and funny service. Requests were addressed immediately. Food good and plentiful. Thank you.
