Gut bürgerliches Restaurant mit nettem Außenbereich.

Das Schnitzel war wirklich hervorragend. Tolle Atmosphäre in dieser Waldlichtung.

Der Wildhof liegt außerhalb (Nähe Müllverbrennung) zwischen Dietzenbach, Heusenstamm und Offenbach. Das Publikum wirkt geschniegelt und selbstgefällig - viel Attitüde, wenig Substanz. Ganz nach dem Motto „Mehr Schein als Sein“. Speisen und Getränke waren solide, die Portionen überschaubar. Die Preise sind ambitioniert. Der Service war allerdings überdurchschnittlich.

Ein ruhiger Ort mitten im Wald. Das Essen ist köstlich, der Service perfekt. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Ausgezeichnete Schnitzel, sehr freundlicher Service... außerdem kann man auch eine kleine Portion bestellen, ideal also für Menschen mit empfindlichem Magen... großartig!

Leider eine große Enttäuschung. Am Ende zahlt man viel Geld und verlässt das Restaurant unzufrieden. Hier scheint es leider mehr ums Kassieren zu gehen als um die Zufriedenheit der Gäste. Für 2 Schnitzel fast 70 €, und selbst ein kleiner Beilagensalat muss extra bezahlt werden. Die Portionen sind extrem klein – das Schnitzel hatte vielleicht 80 g, war sehr dünn, fettig und wirkte eher wie eine Kinderportion. Geschmacklich und qualitativ absolut nicht angemessen für diesen Preis. Das Ambiente mag zwar schön aussehen, aber Preis-Leistung stimmt hier überhaupt nicht. Für solche Preise erwartet man hochwertige Qualität und normale Portionen – nicht, dass man hungrig und enttäuscht nach Hause geht.

Wir waren am letzten Donnerstag mal wieder zu Gast. Essen und Service Top. Ich möchte aber besonderes die leckere Lammkeule erwähnen. Top Fleisch und eine fantastische Soße

Sehr schöner Gasthof mit unglaublich gutem Essen und Service. Jedem in der Umgebung zu empfehlen.

Zuerst das Gute. Ambiente sehr schön, hatten tolles Wetter und haben draußen gesessen. Hunde sind erlaubt und es gibt Wasser. Die Bedienungen alle sehr nett und freundlich. Was nicht gut war, war das Essen. Die grüne Soße war komplett mit zuviel Senf und man hat die Kräuter nicht geschmeckt. Ich denke: Fertigsoße. Die Salzkartoffeln hatten zuviel Salz "gesehen". Der Apfelstrudel war schmierig und hat chemisch geschmeckt. Auch nicht selbstgemacht. Wir hatten noch eine trockene Hühnerbrust mit Pommes 💁🏻‍♀️ für das alles 70 € ist viel zu teuer. "Tütenessen" bekommt man dann doch günstiger. Schade.

Nach langer Zeit waren wir hier zum Mittagessen. Es hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt und wir wurden gut bedient. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Das Essen ist super, die Location schön, aber der Service unterirdisch schlecht und maximal unfreundlich. Es wird von Jahr zu Jahr schlimmer. Schade!

Schönes Ausflugslokal, leckeres Essen, Hunde sind willkommen und um das Restaurant kann man eine schöne Gassi-Runde durch den Wald führen. Unsere Familie freut sich immer auf die Geburtstagsfeiern dort, es gibt kleinere Portionen für Senioren zu günstigeren Preisen. Im Sommer gibt es einen großen Außenbereich.

War echt gut. Ich glaub sogar die Klöße waren halb und halb und nicht so eine Kartoffelbreiversion. Die extra Sauce war auch sehr guter Service. Frischer Kuchen war auch da, also für Ausflüge gut.

Es ist ein Ort inmitten der Natur, an dem man wunderbar entspannen kann. Die Speisekarte ist vielfältig und die Gerichte werden mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Immer wieder das Geld wert. Freitags Backfisch, sehr zu empfehlen. Blechkuchen zum Mitnehmen, auch lecker.

Absolut unflexibel, die Sitzgelegenheiten betreffend Wir wollten uns einen Platz mit etwas Sonne gönnen, war dem Servicepersonal allerdings bzgl Laufweg zu weit!!!

Ambiente und Service nett, man sitzt angenehm. Das Essen - Schnitzel ist ok, die Saucen gehen bis gehen gar nicht. Tagesgericht, Rinderbäckchen, mehrfach aufgewärmter angetrockneter so eine Art Rinderbraten mit merkwürdiger Sauce und Kartoffelecken aus der Tüte. Für 28 Euro eine Unverschämtheit. So etwas sollte man nicht servieren.

Update 2026: Einem.älteren Gast wurde der Freitagsfisch serviert. Dieser wandte ein, die Portion sei etwas karg geraten. Ihm wurde entgegnet, er möge erst einmal aufessen, dann solle er sich erneut melden. Dies zeigt, wie man hier tatsächlich über ältere Gäste denkt. Konsequenz: nur noch ein Punkt wegen Respektlosigkeit --- Schöne Location draußen, überwiegend älteres Publikum, das hier und da mit "Schatzi" angesprochen wird; zuletzt offenbar zu wenig Personal, so dass die Bedienung genervt wirkt, Speisen sensorisch gut, die Quantität angesichts der aufgerufenen Preise wiederholt fast schon unverschämt wenig (Schweinelende mit Pfeffersauce an Rosmarinkartoffel: 3 überschaubare Stückchen Fleisch und genau eine (!) kleine bis mittelgroße Kartoffel für 17 Euro, ohne Salatbeilage). Geiz ist nicht geil.

Wir hatten Wiener und Jägerschnitzel, die Pommes waren prima, Bratkartoffeln hätten etwas krosser sein können. Die Schnitzel waren sehr gut! Bis dahin gibt es 5 Sterne, einen muss ich leider für den Nachtisch abziehen, Apfelstrudel, die Soße dazu und das Schokoküchlein waren leider fertig gekauft, das hat man auch deutlich geschmeckt. Kaffee: kommt aus dem Vollautomat und ist ok, Siebträger wäre natürlich top gewesen. Der Service war aufmerksam und freundlich, insgesamt also ein sehr schöner Abend. Beim nächsten Mal würde ich eine Vorspeise statt Nachtisch nehmen.

Leider war ich dieses Mal etwas enttäuscht. Okay Weihnachten. Sonderkarte. Fleisch hervorragend. Spätzle langweilig. Kein Geschmack. Karotten langwierig. Zerkocht. Für den Preis, leider enttäuschend. Schade

Der Koch ist eingebildet. Wir hatten Telefonisch alles gespochen und dann macht er es doch wie er es will.

Beim Hereinkommen blieb eine Begrüßung aus und wir mussten uns bemerkbar machen. Das Essen war geschmacklich in Ordnung, dem Preis jedoch nicht gerecht. Die Portionen waren ausreichend. Der Service war leider sehr unaufmerksam, und die Wartezeiten lang, trotz der recht geringen Auslastung. Man wurde nicht gefragt, ob es noch etwas zu trinken sein darf o.ä. Das Ambiente ist eher rustikal, die Lampen grell.

Das Essen war sehr lecker, jedoch war die Bedienungen sehr unfreundlich. Das ist natürlich sehr schade für so ein schönes Ambiente und für den Koch.

Der Backfisch den es jeden Freitag gibt ist wirklich sehr zu empfehlen. Was leider für zwei Personen enttäuschend war, ist die Leber mit etwas Püree und Mini Beilagensalat für satte 25€. Das war wirklich sehr enttäuschend. Besser beim Italiener bestellen. Bedienung, Räumlichkeiten und nicht zu vergessen der Kuchen war sehr gut.

Das Fleisch der Lendchen mit Spätzle und Pilzsauce war komplett fest und viel zu durchgebraten. Die Ränder mussten weg, weil nicht kaubar.

Wir kommen seit Jahren zum Wildhof, waren immer gerne hier und mit dem Essen zufrieden. Leider hat die Qualität sehr nach gelassen. Das Kalbsschnitzel ist so dünn wie eine Roulade, die Linsentaler sind Tiefkühlkost. Den Kaffee da noch war kalt und sehr dünn. Sehr Schade

Ich war das 1. Mal dort und hatte mir mehr erhofft. Das Schnitzel bestand mehr aus Panade, das Fleisch war gut. Die junge Bedienung an den anderen Tischen war super nett, "unsere" dafür ruppig und unnötig hektisch (es war normaler Mittagstisch ohne Ansturm), vllt hatte sie nur einen schlechten Tag.

Yes, I can recommend it. Nice location with delicious food and cold drinks. Little selection, friendly staff, everything good. You can also get there by bike. Currently, they're serving delicious fried fish with a side dish on Fridays. I highly recommend it.

Went there with a reservation. The schnitzel wasn't as soft and crispy as elsewhere. Quite expensive, though. A good option is a small portion with one schnitzel instead of two. Dessert is also delicious. Great in summer because of the terrace. Quite an older clientele (over 60/70), as it's located between Heusenstamm and Dietzenbach.

After some time, we tried eating at Wildof again and were, just as we have been for the past eleven years, mercilessly disappointed. First, in the early evening, the waitress barked at us in bad language, telling us not to sit at a table that was too large for the three of us. When I tried to explain to her that, first, we would immediately vacate the table if a large group arrived (there were still plenty of large tables available), and that I simply preferred the beer benches, she became quite rude and asked me if I wanted to be responsible for her resignation, since the order came from the boss, and he sits up front. So we moved to a seat I wouldn't normally have taken. I only did it for my friends. As soon as we were seated, first a younger woman and then a younger man came to serve us, whom I praised for their friendliness. Shortly afterward, the first employee appeared and tried to speak to me. However, I stepped forward and kindly remarked that we had found a wonderful spot. Honestly, I would have preferred to leave immediately, as I felt disturbed by this intrusive situation. I didn't want to make a fuss just because of my companions, so I dutifully ordered my food. As expected, it wasn't great and was completely overpriced. I wouldn't mind the latter if the service was good. All in all, it will probably be a few years before I dare to try again, and a family celebration is out of the question for me. What a shame.

The restaurant is truly beautiful and located in a wonderful, quiet spot. But... the staff is, unfortunately, incredibly unfriendly. The lady who served us simply threw the menus on our table. The gentleman who brought the drinks also slammed the coasters down. Pepsi in a glass? A restaurant of this caliber should be able to serve drinks in glass bottles. Several times during the meal, the waitress came to ask if we were finished and what she could clear away – this rather spoiled the atmosphere. No one had to make any special effort for us, but a simple "Hello" and a smile would have been completely sufficient. Anyone who wants to work in the restaurant industry should – whether they want to or not – have at least a modicum of politeness and culture. The food was tasty, but over €20 for a schnitzel with some fried potatoes and some salad is definitely too much. The service, unfortunately, doesn't match the price. We won't be returning and unfortunately cannot recommend the restaurant.

Mediocre food, high prices, poor service! Not recommended! One afternoon, three of us wanted to sit at a table for eight, but we were denied a seat with the argument that these tables were reserved exclusively for larger groups. Our argument that there were five large tables available and we just wanted a quick bite to eat was of no use. These tables were reserved as a matter of principle, and nothing could be done about it. The waitress turned around and didn't care whether we sat down or left. With service like that, we opted for the latter and decided we would never set foot in this place again. The service really deserved zero stars. If you scare away guests with stubbornness in a half-full place, you shouldn't be surprised if no one comes back. This place is a desert of service and definitely not recommended! Added to that, the food is only mediocre and the prices are relatively high. We've been here before and wanted to give the restaurant another chance. That was it for us.

Good food at a fair price. Very friendly, attentive service. I've added it to my favorites list. Price includes an aperitif, main course, dessert, drinks, and water.

It's beautifully situated, almost in the woods, and very quiet. The prices are a bit high in my opinion. But the food was delicious. The staff is very friendly. If you love nature and still prefer a good restaurant, this is the place for you. Stopping here after long walks in the forest is fantastic. Highly recommended!

So, we were satisfied. We ate there with eight people, and it was good. The service was also very friendly and good. We sat inside, which is rather rustic, but OK. It's nice to sit outside; there's plenty of space there, too. All in all, yes, you can go there.

July 15, 2025 Update: The service remains mediocre. The staff is largely unfriendly. The food has also noticeably improved. December 25, 2023 Update: We reserved a table for 9 people. So far, everything was fine, and the Christmas menu was also very tasty, but the price was already at the high end. But after less than 80 minutes, we were asked to vacate the table for subsequent guests. And that was despite the fact that the drinks were only served after 20 minutes and the food after more than 40 minutes. Unfortunately, that's completely unacceptable. We hadn't even finished our meals, and the glasses were still full. I wasn't informed of this when I made the reservation; otherwise, I wouldn't have reserved at the Wildhof. In the end, we didn't feel comfortable as guests, but rather as revenue generators who were supposed to leave more than 50 euros per person, only to be turned away in the end. Despite the food being good and delicious, the behavior was a knockout criterion, so I had to lower the rating to 1 star. Summer 2023: It's really cozy here, and I especially enjoyed the large beer garden. Even when it's crowded, you can still have a good conversation. The staff is very friendly and attentive. It's actually 5 stars, but I think the prices are a bit too high.

Asparagus with potatoes, the hollandaise sauce was also good and we tolerated it. With it, Frankfurter schnitzel with green sauce, super delicious. They had Büble beer on tap, and the staff was nice too. Highly recommended.

We had dinner at this restaurant. I ordered grilled chicken with fries and salad, and my partner had a cordon bleu with fries and salad. The meat was fine—my chicken was juicy and well-seasoned, and according to my partner, the cordon bleu also tasted acceptable, though nothing special. A major downside were the fries: They were clearly frozen, thin, standard fries—a shame, because in a restaurant, you'd expect fresh, rustic fries. What particularly bothered us was the service regarding the side dishes: We both had fries and asked for mayonnaise and ketchup. However, we were only given a single sachet each. Even after politely asking again, we only received another sachet of mayonnaise. It should be a given for a restaurant to automatically offer matching sauces with such dishes—and when guests request them, they should be more generous. Although we were friendly and left a good tip, we felt that the service in this case deserved a little more attention.

Homemade elderflower lemonade doesn't fit the price-performance ratio, as a glass costs an outrageous €7. And the whole thing tastes like water with a slice of lemon and a few ice cubes. The food is still good and reasonably priced, but the price of the lemonade is outrageous.

There were three of us there. The service was very friendly, and the food arrived unusually quickly. Unfortunately, the sauce on two dishes was too salty. The third, however, was not. After our negative review, we were immediately offered a small drink (coffee/espresso) free of charge. (Unfortunately, I don't drink that.) Unfortunately, there are only two identical game dishes on the menu. The prices are the same as in any restaurant.

We went to the Wildhof for dinner at Easter. There were 6 of us in total. Unfortunately the food is no longer like it used to be, we had two portions with pasta, mushrooms and truffles, everything was very greasy, the truffle may have been next to the pot but didn't make its way into the dish, but it was really expensive at 17 euros and not worth the price. We also had a gratinated chicken breast with cheese and asparagus, the meat was extremely dry and the cheese was almost impossible to shred. The other dishes were rather averagely good, none of them could be described as really very good, but the prices are totally inflated. We don't recommend it, it's a shame, the Wildhof used to be a good address for down-to-earth cuisine with reasonable prices.

I've known the Wildhof for so long, years . Had a nice evening with family yesterday. The food was very good, I had this truffle pasta with fried porcini mushrooms. Visually ok, but the taste, a taste explosion, as if you were eating a fresh porcini mushroom. Topped off with parmesan. A highlith. I like to drive about 50km for this. The service was very friendly, competent and quick on its feet. The chef can stay 👍

The food was very good, the interior was quaint and dated, but tidy. The service was okay. It was busy. The food came quickly, but after a drink with our meal, we were "forgotten." We would have liked to order another drink. Because of dessert, we got the menu ourselves, pointed it out to the waiter, and ordered. And as expected, we had to go ahead to pay because no one was there. The food was very good, but the rest, well, so-so...

Top! I ordered extra sauce for my meal and it came promptly. It tasted delicious, is easily accessible by car and we will definitely come back again. There was nothing to complain about from anyone at our table. :-)

The roulades with red cabbage were not particularly good. It tasted like it came from a can. However, my Frankfurter Schnitzel was very tasty. We have eaten there several times and the food has always been good. This time we were a bit disappointed.

The food tastes very good. Service is polite and quick. The food was ready very quickly. Sauces are homemade. Breaded schnitzel yourself. Salad dressing also own creation. That's how I imagine good gastronomy should be. We would be happy to come back and recommend the Wildhof to everyone!

Beautifully located forest restaurant, friendly service, but a 19 EUR schnitzel from the deep fryer and warmed-up mushy fried potatoes, no no, there's a lot of room for improvement. After all, green sauce was good, but not yet tasty. For the price I expect the opposite of food thrown carelessly on the plate.

Meine Frau und ich waren am 31.01.25 zum Abendessen in dieser sehr schönen und gut gelegenen Gaststätte ( Wildhof ) unser Abendessen Vorspeise Garnelen in Knoblauch Soße mit Rucola Salat, Hauptspeise Hirschmedaillons mit Waldpilzsauce und Katoffelplätzchen. Räucherlachs mit Kartoffelpuffer und Senfdillsauce. Das Essen war Perfekt zubereitet und Geschmacklich Nicht gut sondern Perfekt. !!! Die Bedienung Freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir werden diese Lokalität sehr gerne und mit gutem Gewissen weiter Empfehlen und jetzt Wöchentlich einmal besuchen. Hat sich gelohnt jetzt das zweite mal hier diese Gastlichkeit zu besuchen. There's not much to say, get advice and service from the very friendly and competent service, enjoy the very good food and just switch off in the cozy restaurant. Highly recommended!!
