Very unkempt, the food does not taste good, only one star for very friendly staff

Unfortunately, after a long time, we craved Iranian food. The only thing we couldn't taste was the smell of kebab, as if you had put dry bread in the meat. It didn't taste like anything, and the chicken had spices, as if we had eaten Afghan food. We could only eat bread and cheese. I'm sorry for the expense I paid.

A very nice restaurant with a warm welcome. The food was delicious. Lamb skewer with rice, tomato, and a walnut-pomegranate sauce. Very friendly staff. At the end, we were treated to tea or a glass of house schnapps.

The restaurant not only offers authentic Persian cuisine, but also a warm, family-friendly atmosphere where you feel at home from the very first moment. 🍽️ Starter – a fantastic start The starter alone was a real highlight! I tried a selection of traditional Persian snacks – the Kashk-e Bademjan (eggplant with whey) in particular was incredibly delicious: creamy, aromatic, and perfectly seasoned. The fresh herbs, the feta, the warm flatbread – everything was fresh, high-quality, and prepared with love. You can immediately taste the authentic cooking here. 🥩 Kubideh – the best I've ever had For my main course, I had the Kubideh – and I was truly overwhelmed. So tender, so juicy, perfectly grilled, and incredibly well-seasoned. It was served with fluffy basmati rice with saffron, grilled tomatoes, and a little melted butter – a true treat. I've eaten Kubideh many times before, but it's never been as good as this. 💫 Service & Atmosphere – Served with Heart The service was super friendly, attentive, and warm – you immediately notice that hospitality is a top priority here. The ambiance is also lovingly designed, cozy, and inviting. Conclusion: The recommendation was absolutely worth it – I will definitely be back! Anyone who loves Persian food or wants to get to know it better must visit the Süße Limone. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and will also warmly recommend the shop! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 out of 5 stars – more than deserved!

The kebabs were really good — well-seasoned and cooked just right. I was especially impressed with their house-made lemonade, which was refreshing and came in several different flavors to choose from. One thing I found a bit too much was that every dish came with rice. It would have been nice to have some variety or the option to skip it, as it made the meal heavier than necessary. Overall, a nice place for kebabs and drinks, but I'd suggest a bit more flexibility with the side dishes.

Very friendly staff, lovely outdoor seating, everything beautifully decorated and presented. However, the food (number 41) was a total disappointment. The raw tomatoes were underripe, the yogurt watery, and the vegetable patty reminded me of a green tea bag. Overall, the food had little flavor except for the sour barberries and the even sourer sauce. Perhaps a bit more seasoning and a larger serving of yogurt could have balanced this out. A real shame. And I didn't find drinking from a former tealight with a rusty handle very pleasant.

18 years ago I proposed to my wife. This happened in the beautiful “Pistachio” restaurant not far from Bergerstrasse in Frankfurt, run by two extremely kind people. At the time, the restaurant was run with loving care and pleased its guests so much that it regularly received top listings in Frankfurt. After the restaurant changed owners and with it the style of management, our former favorite restaurant unfortunately disappeared. Because the kind people who ran it were no longer there. Years later, now, we found the duo again purely by chance in the “Süße Limone” in Offenbach. This restaurant is run by the owners with the same dedication. The guests' wishes are read from their eyes and the food that is served is beyond any doubt. Customer satisfaction is important and the prices are also extremely reasonable. We found the place again where she said “yes.” All others are certainly a top-run restaurant where you can enjoy delicious food. Definitely a recommendation!

Ich zähle die Tage bis ich wieder diesen Lammhackspieß probieren darf, ich bin aus dem Socken gesprungen. Sehr lecker ist eine maßlose Untertreibung! And the falafel was so delicious that I didn't say much. The falafel is extremely delicious and fresh. We got two drinks, Safran limo and kukurma limo, and it was great! And Mrs. Mehrboni, who served the food, had set the mood with her beautiful music.

I waited for about one hour for my food just for them to tell they arent able to make it because smth happened to the grill.

The staff (one man and one woman) were so unfriendly and obviously overwhelmed by the number of guests. He gave us instructions on how to order (just reciting numbers), and when he brought the dishes and called us by name, he got angry because we couldn't remember them. When we wanted to reorder, we weren't allowed to get up; we had to sit down again and wait until he came. He looked annoyed and rolled his eyes at every reorder he couldn't hear. When we got the bill, he had an unpaid dish that we hadn't ordered, and in the end, he told us we shouldn't come back as a group on Saturday. He was overwhelmed; it was busy—yes, but being so unfriendly and rude because of that unfortunately ruined our experience at the restaurant.

Persian cuisine just like mom's. Incredibly delicious and easy on the stomach, not run-of-the-mill, and unbeatable value for money! It's meant to be tasty, and you don't need a fancy restaurant for that; you can choose what you want, but we wanted to eat well several times a day, and for under €50. The owners were extremely friendly, and they catered to our every need.

The food was incredibly delicious – especially the kebab kubide and the flavorful combination of spices. Everything was very well seasoned and prepared, and you can tell that great importance is placed on quality here. The restaurant is also extremely clean and well-maintained, which makes the visit even more pleasant. The only downside: Parking is a bit difficult on weekends, as it's often tight to find a free spot. Perhaps a solution could be found for this. Another small suggestion for improvement would be to play international music in the restaurant to further enhance the atmosphere. Overall, however, a clear recommendation – I'd be happy to come back!

Wie mein Bruder schon eine passende Bewertung geschrieben hat mache ich so gesagt den zweiten Teil: Das Essen dort schmeckt hervorragend, weil es von Iran kommt und Iran hat wirklich das beste Essen. Sie geben auch immer eine leckere Vorspeise welches ich sehr mag. Ich empfehle euch unbedingt mal dort hin zu gehen. Ihr werdet es lieben.

Nur als Info ich bin der Sohn des Chefs, ich liebe die Speisen .Mein Vater gibt sich sehr viel mühe .Er arbeitet den ganzen Tag .Dabei hat er sich auf jeden Fall 5, ⭐verdient. Am besten ist es für Kinder,weil gegenüber im Park ist ein Spiel platzt und am Ende gibt er Kinder Gummibärchen. Glaubt mir er mixt die besten Getränke. Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall hin zugehen❤️

The food is a little cheaper than some other Persian restaurants but the quality is correspondingly worse. Our food was cold and the taste of the meat was not convincing. The shop and the sanitary facilities make a dirty and run-down impression. The operators are hectic and absent. Only react when the guest makes their presence known loudly. I will not visit the restaurant again.

The eggplant puree was very tasty and so was the stuffed eggplant. A small starter plate on the house was very nice of the restaurant owners. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

The food was good, but the atmosphere of the restaurant is very old, the walls are full of stains, which is really unpleasant. The tables and chairs are worn and the decor is not so beautiful. Contrary to the food that is served clean, the restaurant space is not clean. I would be grateful if you would take care of it and renovate it or at least paint it. A cozy Iranian restaurant in a beautiful, quiet corner of Offenbach. You can dine outside on warm evenings and also in the lovingly furnished interior of the restaurant. Dishes from different regions of Iran, mildly and naturally seasoned. The ambience is accompanied by Iranian music from an indestructible, friendly couple. Lots of taste and good vibes. You can tell from the menu and the service that the owners enjoy having guests and being able to pamper them. Very fond of children. After the horrible Covid phase, the restaurant slowly recovered and asserted itself qualitatively against the overpriced Iranian competition 'Maman', which was a few meters away and was very sterile. If you like it really Iranian, you should enjoy it here. The 'Sweet Lime' reminds me more of Maman's (mother's) original cuisine than the 'hip' 'Maman'.

Top service, original Persian cuisine, absolutely moderate prices. Gladly, gladly again!!!! A MUST for fans of oriental delights!

Restaurant Review: Sweet Lime Unfortunately, my visit to the “Süße Limone” restaurant was anything but pleasant. The drinks were okay, but one drink had a strong chemical taste that significantly reduced the enjoyment. A particularly annoying point was the service. As soon as you put down the cutlery, the waiter clears the plate away without asking. The female waiter was even worse: she was extremely unfriendly and didn't smile once. My three questions about Persian cuisine were answered with an eye roll, which really shocked me. This type of operation is completely unacceptable. I absolutely cannot recommend the dessert, halva with vanilla ice cream. It was disappointing in taste. The main course, a meat dish, contained very little meat, which didn't justify the value for money. The falooda offered is also a disappointment. It wasn't a real falooda, but consisted of Asian, undercooked glass noodles. Real falooda is something completely different and this attempt was far from it. The worst thing, however, was the negative attitude of the service. Her unfriendly manner spoiled the entire atmosphere in the restaurant. I felt extremely uncomfortable after her eye roll and will definitely never come here again. Overall, my visit to "Süße Limone" was a big disappointment. Poor service and inedible food ruined my evening. Not recommended.

Restaurantkritik: Süße Limone Mein Besuch im Restaurant "Süße Limone" war leider alles andere als erfreulich. Die Getränke waren in Ordnung, jedoch hatte ein Getränk einen stark chemischen Geschmack, der den Genuss erheblich minderte. Ein besonders ärgerlicher Punkt war der Service. Sobald man das Besteck ablegt, räumt der Kellner ohne zu fragen den Teller weg. Noch schlimmer war die weibliche Bedienung: Sie war äußerst unfreundlich und hat kein einziges Mal gelächelt. Meine drei Fragen zur persischen Küche wurden mit einem Augenrollen beantwortet, was mich sehr schockiert hat. Diese Art der Bedienung ist völlig inakzeptabel. Das Dessert, Halva mit Vanilleeis, kann ich absolut nicht empfehlen. Es war geschmacklich enttäuschend. Das Hauptgericht, ein Fleischgericht, enthielt sehr wenig Fleisch, was das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht gerechtfertigt. Das angebotene Falooda ist ebenfalls eine Enttäuschung. Es war kein echtes Falooda, sondern bestand aus asiatischen, nicht ganz gar gekochten Glasnudeln. Echte Falooda ist etwas völlig anderes und dieser Versuch war weit davon entfernt. Am schlimmsten war jedoch die negative Ausstrahlung der Bedienung. Ihre unfreundliche Art hat die gesamte Atmosphäre im Restaurant beeinträchtigt. Ich fühlte mich nach ihrem Augenrollen äußerst unwohl und werde definitiv nie wieder hierher kommen. Insgesamt war mein Besuch im "Süße Limone" eine große Enttäuschung. Schlechter Service und ungenießbare Speisen haben meinen Abend ruiniert. Nicht empfehlenswert.

We spontaneously went to the restaurant on Thursday. The welcome was very warm. The ambience suits the restaurant extremely well. The selection of dishes is very extensive. The friendly service also accommodated our special requests, which were promptly fulfilled. The food was extremely tasty. The limos were created very tastefully. We came here for the first time based on a recommendation from good friends. And what can you say, the food was really delicious and we didn't have to wait long for it, especially the portions were HUGE so it was really worth the price. The drinks were also very special and really tasty. All in all, the restaurant is really recommended, even if it is not in a great location.

Great shop! Landed here by chance and unfortunately it's not visually convincing at first glance. The food, on the other hand, is a real dream, full-bodied and varied in taste. We had a starter platter for 2 and a vegetarian and lamb main course. Before that there was a greeting from the kitchen. I can also recommend the homemade lemonades, especially the “Saffron”. The family serves and cooks themselves. We would love to come back!

Ich gehe sehr gerne in die Süße Limone. Wir wurden bisher immer freundlich und aufmerksam aufgenommen uns das Essen schmeckt einfach. Als Iranerin bin ich erfahren mit persischem Essen ist und kann ohne Zweifel behaupten, dass die Qualität einwandfrei ist. Alles andere ist Geschmacksache. Es gibt eine große Bandbreite an Gerichten. Insbesondere die Limonaden sind super lecker und es gibt hier auch eine große Auswahl. Aber auch das persische Joghurtgetränk Dugh schmeckt dort sehr gut. Das Dessert war mein absolutes Highlight, auch wenn die Hauptspeise schon sehr geschmeckt hat. Ich bestelle am liebsten Dudje Kabab mit einer Beilage wie bspw. Mast o Musir. Zum Nachtisch kann ich Halva empfehlen - Kalt und mit Karotten. Schmeckt dort einfach perfekt. Das Restaurant ist authentisch und entspannt. Definitiv weiterzuempfehlen.

It's incredible. Barley soup (Soup Jo) was not edible at all. It tasted like everything except barley soup and the inside of the Koubideh Kebab was completely raw and the outside surface was slightly burnt. This is the third time I ordered from here because the address of this restaurant is near our house, but I really regret it...

Wir sind gestern spontan in diesem Restaurant eingekehrt und können es wärmstens weiter empfehlen. Das Ambiente ist charmant orientalisch. Das Personal ist freundlich und vor allem sehr kinderlieb. Das Essen aber hat uns vom Hocker gehauen. Samosas und Grillgemüse waren köstlich, alles sehr lecker gewürzt und zu jedem Gericht gab es reichlich Salat, Oliven und Fladenbrot. Wir waren begeistert und kommen gerne wieder.

Fangen wir mit dem Ambiente an. Der Laden wirkt unaufgeräumt. Die Deko ist altbacken und gemütlich ist was anderes. Der Service war noch das beste am Abend. Vor dem Essen gab es einen Gruß aus der Küche. Nett gemeint aber einfallslos umgesetzt. Das Hauptgericht auf einem Blechteller angerichtet. Sorry aber das war weder schön noch originell. Der Reis war ok. Das Fleisch Lamm, Hähnchen und ein Lammhackfleisch Spieß waren schlecht gewürzt, ohne Bratspuren und wenn mich nicht alles täuscht aus der Tiefkühltruhe kurz warm gemacht Hier fehlt im gesamten der Funke und Hingabe....

Wir waren in einziges mal dort, und werden nie wieder dort hingehen! Ich habe noch nie eine schlechte Bewertung geschrieben aber das kann man nicht unkommentiert lassen, leider!!! Wir geben dem Restaurant MINUS 0 Punkte! Ich bin Veganerin und lege sehr viel Wert auf die Qualität der Produkte. Bei den PREISEN vom Restaurant sollte man das auch erwarten können (hatten wir zuerst auch). Qualität absolut furchtbar! Essen ungewürzt und lauwarm fast kalt, der Salat ohne Soße (wir haben noch extra Soßen bestellt). Das Brot schmeckte als wäre es vom Vortag, frisch war es auf keinen Fall. Auf die Deko der Teller möchten wir gar nicht eingehen denn die waren ebenso traurig. Den Inhaber hat es überhaupt nicht interessiert, er sagte nur das wir nachwürzen sollen - dafür stehen ja Gewürze auf dem Tisch🙈. Zur Bedienung: sehr sehr unfreundlich, lustlos und sie war oft draußen zum rauchen. Sie hatte dauerhaft die gleichen Handschuhe an und zuerst waren wir darüber angenehm überrascht, bis wir sahen was sie alles damit macht, danach servierte sie mit den gleichen Handschuhen das essen:( Innerhalb und außerhalb des Restaurants ist noch sehr viel Luft nach oben was es den Zustand/ Deko angeht, es sieht etwas heruntergekommen aus. Wir haben dem Inhaber unseren Eindruck mitgeteilt aber interessiert war er nicht. Als wir das Lokal verließen, saß ein Mann an einem Tisch am Fenster, packte Brot aus einer Plastiktüte aus (man sah an der Tüte, das es gekauft war) und er schnitt das Brot mit einer handelsüblichen Haushaltsschere auseinander um es dann in eine andere Tüte zu packen. Allem in allem waren wir mehr als unzufrieden, eigentlich ohne Worte und erschütternd. Wir werden deshalb dort nicht mehr hingehen.

Sehr leckere persische Küche. Wenn der Laden voll mit Persern ist, muss es gut sein. War es auch! Wir hatten eine Kabap Platte für 2 Personen und haben sie nicht geschafft. Der Mokka am Ende hat es abgerundet. Wirklich sehr zu empfehlen.

Ein niedliches kleines Restaurant am Rande von Offenbach in der Ecke einer Sackgasse versteckt. Es ist nicht das schickste Restaurant, aber dafür sehr authentisch! Die arabische Musik, die über den Bildschirm online angespielt wird gehört Wunsch dazu. Es gab zwar auch draußen die Gelegenheit, Platz zu nehmen, aber leider sitzen da die Raucher, die sonst im Winter mit Abstand zum Restaurant geraucht haben. Die Inhaber können viel mehr Gäste haben, wenn sie die Raucher bitten würden, einige Meter Abstand zum Restaurant zu nehmen, so dass die Gäste nicht gestört werden! Die Raucher sind mit Sicherheit nicht beleidigt, denn die kennen das schon! Außerdem entspricht das nicht mehr dem Zeitgeist! Zerstört einfach nicht die schöne Ambiente des schnuckeligen Restaurant. Das Essen selbst ist hervorragend. Allein, dass die Gäste ein paar kleine Leckereien vorweg auf den Tisch gestellt bekommen, hebt das Niveau des Restaurants deutlich von vielen anderen ab. Die Portionen machen einen satt und liegen keineswegs schwer im Magen. Die Bedienung hat sich sogar bei allen Gästen persönlich verabschiedet. Das fand ich sehr freundlich.

Das Personal war super nett und freundlich. Ich hätte mir gewünscht dass sie hier und da etwas öfters vorbei geschaut hätten wegen Getränken. Das Essen war auch top. Positiv Überrascht waren wir von der Platte mit Käse, Minze, Petersilie, Zwiebel , Gurke, Oliven und dem Brot vor dem Essen. Die Portionen sind ausreichend, auch wenn die Teller (Platten) es wenig erscheinen lassen. Wir werden definitv wieder hier essen gehen.

Geschmacklich super! Bedienung hat uns beim Antreffen zunächst gar nicht beachtet. Als wir am Tisch waren wurden wir allerdings zügig bedient. Essen kam ebenfalls zügig und heiß an den Tisch. Ambiente sieht sehr runter gekommen aus. Insbesondere der Außenbereich sieht sehr ungepflegt aus.

Ich war dort im Februar und dieses Besuch hat mich sehr positiv überrascht. Gerichte die haben wir bestellt , waren sehr lecker und Personal sehr freundlich.

Ich war im vergangenen Jahr ein paar Mal im "Süße Limone", und es war jedes Mal gut! Toller Service, leckeres Essen (vor allem die Vorspeisen..), tolle Lage, die Preise sind fair und auf jeden Fall angemessen! Tipp: es gibt hausgemachte Limonaden, die man sich "aufpeppen" lassen kann, z.B. mit Gin oder Wodka. Sehr lecker und nicht zu schnapsig..

Seit Jahren besuche ich dieses Restaurant sehr gerne. Leider werden seit Corona die Fleisch-Portionen immer kleiner, der Fleischspiess ist nur noch die Hälfte und die Qualität hat stark nachgelassen. Aktuell daher keine Empfehlung mehr. Sehr schade.

Leckeres Essen, nettes Personal, angenehme Athmosphäre

Süß eingerichtetes Persiches Restaurant. Essen kam überraschend schnell und hat gut geschmeckt. Als halb Iraner kann ich es für alle aus der Gegend empfehlen. Eine typische Vorspeise ist auch inklusive wenn man dort isst. (natürlich was richtiges und keine mini Gerichte). Die Bedienung ist auch freundlich.

Essen ist sehr lecker. Ich war schon im Restaurant, aber habe auch schon des Öfteren bestellt. Essen und Service ist perfekt. Geschmacklich sehr lecker. Nur finde ich die Bedienung nicht so ganz freundlich, deswegen 1 Stern Abzug, aber sonst ist alles top!! Und ich werde definitiv wieder bei ihnen bestellen.

Sehr leckeres Essen, die Einrichtung ist rustikal aber schön. Das Personal ist Verbesserungsfähig, es müsste einfach netter sein.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker, die Wirtsleute sehr freundlich. Angemessene Preise und Portionen. Der Außenbereich wurde erweitert - der Sommer kann kommen.

Sehr gutes persisches Restaurant. Eine Vielzahl von ansprechenden und kreativen Gerichten. Das Ambiente ist sehr ansprechend. Der Service war sehr gut. Zum Beginn bekamen wir einen Gruß aus der Küche. Herausragend! Unsere Bestellungen wurden ebenfalls sehr schnell serviert und waren lecker. Vor dem Restaurant gibt es einige Parkplätze. Bei unserem Besuch war das Restaurant fast voll und wir waren froh, über unsere Tischreservierung. Preis-Leistung war top! Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen.

Bei einem Besuch bei Verwandten, habe ich heute durch Zufall die Süße Limone beim vorbeifahren entdeckt. Von außen sieht es nach einem süßen Lokal aus. Habe hier Essen zum Mitnehmen bestellt und war begeistert. Geschmacklich eine 5 von 5. Preis super fair. Trotz Valentinstag und überforderten Personal, hat die Chefin die gesamte Lage gut unter Kontrolle gehabt. Wenn ich das nächste Mal wieder in Frankfurt/Offenbach bin, komme ich wieder vorbei.
