The cuisine is wonderfully down-to-earth and of the highest quality. Everything we tried was incredibly delicious, prepared honestly, and the portions were more than fair. It tastes like good, traditional food – simply perfect! But what really makes the visit special is the incredibly friendly staff. You feel welcome from the very first moment. The service is attentive, fast, and always with a genuine smile. You can feel the passion that goes into their work. As a family, we are especially grateful for the great play opportunities for the children. Finally, a place where the little ones are happy and occupied, and we adults can enjoy our food in peace and relaxation. It's worth its weight in gold! Five stars aren't enough. We will definitely be back and can warmly recommend this restaurant to everyone!

A rustic Bavarian restaurant with a wonderful sun terrace. From there, you have a stunning view of the mountains. The service is very friendly and welcoming. The food and drinks are great value for money. I highly recommend the Bergsteigerschnitzel. Perfect for rounding off a wonderful day on vacation.

In the morning, there was a different menu in the display case. By the evening, it had been replaced, unfortunately with a reduced selection. The prices had unfortunately gone up for some dishes. What a shame!! We left without eating.

Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio was very disappointing. Service was attentive, the quality of the food, and the selection was very limited. Fries or fried potatoes were the only side dishes. No salad and no traditional side dishes like pasta, dumplings, or the like. In contrast, the bill was quite hefty.

Beautiful restaurant with a small but well-cooked menu. Excellent value for money. The only thing that tops it all is the incredible view. Over the meadows of beautiful Oberwössen and into the mountains. Fantastic.

Unfortunately, I have to downgrade my review. Location, ambiance, and service are still very good. Unfortunately, the food selection is getting smaller and the quality is declining. The sirloin steak for €27 was quite tough, with cheap gravy and a handful of green peppercorns. It came with four rösti slices... The Wiener or Bergsteiger schnitzel (€17) was dry and seemed pre-cooked. The gastro-style fried potatoes were fried with plenty of oil until crispy. And I can find a currywurst elsewhere... What a shame! I'd only go there in an "emergency." I used to love it...

This year's Advent celebration of the VdK Wössen local association was excellently looked after by the Poststüberl team. There was a great selection of cakes with something for every taste. The service was competent and friendly.

I arrived at 8:10 p.m. and unfortunately didn't get anything to eat because the kitchen closes at 8:00 p.m. And that in a holiday area during the holiday season.

I'm torn about writing the review. The location of the restaurant and the view through the large panoramic windows is really fantastic. However, the service and the food detract from the overall impression. The Poststüberl is known for its mountaineering schnitzel. This is really highly recommended. Unfortunately, the other dishes we tried there left a lot to be desired in terms of taste. For example, the radish in the salad was extremely over-salted. In addition, the side salads, even if they are just "side dishes", are relatively small. Today I had the cheese spaetzle. Unfortunately these weren't good at all. The mountain cheese that goes with this dish was apparently mixed with cheap grated cheese. And the fried onions were also a ready-made product. So the food tasted very bland. And that for almost €13. But the highlight was that mountaineering schnitzel was served at the next table. Our order was rejected because the Bergsteigerschnitzel wasn't on the menu. When we asked why the next table got these schnitzels, there was only a shrug of the shoulders. The Viennese-style schnitzels we ordered were unfortunately very “knocked down” and a bit tough. My conclusion about the restaurant: ... If so, just order the mountaineering schnitzel and enjoy the view...

We have known the inn since 2014 and have been guests here almost every year since then. Over the years it has diminished more and more. The menu is very sparse, but the food itself is somewhat okay. The comfort was also greater, we found the lighting to be a bit too bright and the waitress was rather “moderately friendly” with a lot of goodwill - she should perhaps look for another job. Somehow the holiday atmosphere is missing here now... There used to be a salad bar, which has also been removed. Kitchen only open until 8 p.m. The Poststüberl has such great potential, especially because of the great terrace when the weather is nice. But we can't shake the feeling that the Poststüberl is going downhill and maybe even coming to an end soon. It's good that there are still one or two alternatives in the area. The review read below with the content “better snack bar” is not entirely wrong. A pity.

Schade, es hätte sicher ein schöner Abend werden können, allerdings war die Bedienung von Anfang an derart negativ und desinteressiert, ich hatte schon erste Bedenken. Soweit so gut, Getränke und Essen bestellt, die Getränke kamen sehr zügig. Ich bestellte eine Coke, Zero - und zwar ganz bewusst, denn ich bin Diabetiker. Der erste Schluck schmeckte nicht vertraut, ich hatte also Bedenken, wirklich ein zuckerfreies Getränk bekommen zu haben. Auch ein Schluck meiner Ehefrau bestätige mir, das schmeckt !Nicht! nach einer Zero Coke. Ich fragte ein weiteres Mal, ob es sich um eine Coke Zero handelt, genervt aber bestimmt bekam ich ein weiteres Mal die Bestätigung es handle sich um eine Zero Coke. Also der 3. Versuch - nein, ich bin mir sicher, keine Zero Coke. (man kommt sich ja schon selbst wie ein Beschränkter vor) Ich ging direkt an die Bar, ließ mir die Flasche zeigen und.... Natürlich KEINE COKE ZERO ..... sondern eine Coke Cherry Sugarfree. Das muss man natürlich wissen. Aber keine Angst von Reue oder Entschuldigung keine Spur. Schade, wie mir dann das völlig überladene mit Fertigzwiebeln gepanschte Schnitzel geschmeckt hat muss ich wohl nicht ausführen....

Schöne kleine Gaststätte mit moderner Einrichtung. Wir haben einige Gerichte von der Karte probiert und waren sehr zufrieden. Es gibt zwar nur eine kleine Karte aber auch immer wechselnde Tages Gerichte. Dazu noch der tolle Ausblick.

Konventionelle deutsche Küche. Schnitzel war sehr gut zubereitet. Nur kleine Speisekarte. Die Bedienung ausgezeichnet, sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Gesamt nur drei Sterne wegen der kleinen Karte.

Heerlijke flinke Bergsteigerschnitzel gegeten met een fantastisch uitzicht. Menukaart is prima. Dik tevreden.

Der große "Speisesaal" ist etwas unpersönlich. Haben erst im rausgehen die kleine Gaststube entdeckt. Das wird beim nächsten Mal gebucht. Der Service war sehr gut und freundlich. Das Essen schmackhaft. Kommen gerne wieder.

Leider ist das Angebot an Speisen etwas gering. Aber was angeboten wird ist gut. Man sitzt sehr schön und die Preise sind angemessen. Vorbestellung ist nötig, da im Umkreis kein anderes Gasthaus ist.

Uns hat es gut gefallen, der Service war sehr freundlich und man sitzt ruhig. Ein Punkt Abzug für die doch extrem kleine Auswahl, wenn dann zudem noch einzelne Gerichte "aus" sind, wird es eng. Den Salatteller mit Putensteak hatte ich mir persönlich anders erwartet, statt Fleischsalat dabei z.b. mehr Frische und dafür fand ich das Gericht leider auch zu teuer. Dennoch würden wir wieder kommen, gefallen hat es uns! Und so netten Service gibt es ja leider nicht mehr überall, das ist schon eine Empfehlung wert! Vielen Dank!

Man muss von der Alpenstrasse abbiegen und durch den Ort fahren, liegt ein bißchen versteckt. Ist ein größeres Hotel mit Restaurant. Waren dort nur zum Essen aber das war gut und die Bedienung top 👍👍👍
