Always nice and really tasty and it doesn't matter whether it's for a normal meal with the family or for the pig lottery organized by the Heimatbund Lemsahl-Mellelingstedt e.V.

Yesterday we went to Offen for a goose dinner, admittedly my first visit in about 30 years. The food was still very good, the service was very friendly and quick. One phenomenon was that the food, despite its sumptuousness, was not at all heavy on the stomach, but we all felt really good after eating, pleasantly full but not stuffed, even though we hadn't finished everything - very pleasant. Everything was very tasty and attractively presented, all in all a very successful visit that we will definitely repeat.

Absolutely great service, absolutely great food and at an unbeatable price.

Loveless welcome, some staff were in a bad mood, the food was mediocre, fried potatoes tasted like frying fat, the sauce that was served with the duck/goose was probably straight out of a bag... Well, the dessert menu was thrown on the table and no one asked if there was dessert is desired. If you like it… luckily there are better restaurants

A real country inn with excellent traditional cuisine and very good, friendly service. A house where you are truly welcome and where the guest can still feel comfortable. If you don't get enough here, it's your own fault. Highly recommended!

Last Saturday the three of us went to dinner with you on the recommendation of a sports colleague! We had reserved for 5 p.m. because you are one of the first guests in the evening and don't have to worry about parking (although there are plenty available). We were welcomed very nicely and escorted to our table in one of the guest rooms. All tables were very tastefully set for the guests. You immediately felt comfortable and welcome! We were given the menus, told what dishes were off the menu and took our drink orders. Since we knew that “German cuisine” awaited us, we were particularly looking forward to this evening. Our order then looked like this: salad, pumpkin and porcini mushroom soup with fresh slices of bread. The main courses at our table were 1 x pork knuckle and 1 x duck leg, each with croquettes and red cabbage and 1 x roast neck with onions, mushrooms and nice crispy fried potatoes. All 3 dishes were exactly as we imagined them. Simply super tasty and visually a feast for the eyes. In between I was asked 2-3 times if everything was OK! We felt very well looked after. Although we "had to" order reusable packaging for half the pork knuckle and half of the fried potatoes to take away, we couldn't help but order something for "afterwards"! 1 large scoop of walnut ice cream with whipped cream and 2 ice cream chocolates with whipped cream and a straw. After that it got to the point where we could barely move! We say thank you and will definitely come back soon! 🌳🍁🍂🌞🥰

Unfortunately I can't say anything about the quality of the food or the ambience, as I wasn't able to enjoy it. I only give three and not just one star because my rating is not relevant for every simple restaurant goer. I would have liked to have held an event at Pieper's house, as offered on the website, and would have liked to have had a multi-course menu and unfortunately I only got the answer. “I’m not interested…I don’t need to give you a reason” and they hung up. This is not what customer service looks like.

The Gasthaus Offen impresses with its cozy atmosphere and excellent home-style cuisine. The fried potatoes in particular are an absolute must - simply unbeatable! The price-performance ratio is very good, and the friendly staff make the visit a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Deserved 5 stars – I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

We have never eaten so well or so much. Unfortunately there was no space when we arrived but they said something would be available in an hour. The wait was really worth it.

Traditional inn - super good food, friendly staff and beautiful location. Prices are right, ideal for family reunions or as a stopover on a bike tour. What can't you expect: Fancy furnishings, shi-shi or nonsense. But that doesn't matter if you can eat well and have a good time with your loved ones or friends.

Excellent food. The herring platter with the delicious fried potatoes was simply perfect. The atmosphere is harmonious, the staff attentive and friendly. All highly recommended. Be sure to reserve in advance.

There were four of us at the Gasthaus Offen. The restaurant was very busy, but the service was still quick and extremely courteous. That is no longer a given today. The food was excellent! In particular, I haven't eaten fried potatoes served in a hot pan so well in a long time. We'd love to come back.

The food was great. The service was also good. Unfortunately the atmosphere is very old. Which is adapted to the environment and isn't bad either. We were there for our birthday with our grandparents and the atmosphere didn't matter. But given our young age, we probably would have walked past this place. Where we would have missed out on the good food. Unfortunately, today many people look at their looks first and then miss out on the good food.

We celebrated our silver wedding anniversary there. Everything was perfect food service, ambience. I can only recommend it again and again.

Carefree package. ~ We like to eat there privately because the food there is so delicious and the service is just super friendly and familiar. We were lucky enough to be able to celebrate our wedding there. It was absolutely perfect. The tables were beautifully set, the buffet was plentiful (we were allowed to take everything left over in Tupperware containers), and it was always refilled. Everything was fresh, you could see it and taste it too. :) From soup to dessert, it was super delicious! And the service? Perfect. Everyone was super friendly and very accommodating. Always asking whether something was necessary, regularly taking everything off the tables. What more do you want?! Highly recommended to everyone, whether for a simple meal or a party coming up. Always happy.<3

We always enjoy coming here - the food is of very good quality, the portions are very generous and the staff is always friendly. The only downside is that soup is no longer served on Sundays in advance as in the past. But that doesn't matter - we're happy to keep coming. Unfortunately, I have to add something else: Now in the asparagus season, when asparagus is eaten endlessly, Offen takes the opportunity and secretly increases the prices for his asparagus dishes by more than 10 percent from one week to the next!!! elevated. Nobody is complaining and asparagus continues to be eaten in abundance - by us too, of course.

I was eating here with the family but I eat a vegetarian diet so I was given a plate of peas……

Good traditional cuisine with seasonal ingredients Menu at very fair prices! The ambience is clean, bright and friendly, although a bit old-fashioned.

Yesterday we spontaneously got a table with all the kids. Warm welcome, very attentive to the children. I felt completely welcome. We treated ourselves to beef medallions, space schnitzel and children's meals. The ingredients were of the finest quality and the preparation was simply great. Meat and asparagus to the point. Sauces tasted great...the side dishes were also very tasty (I had to eat the bowl of beans on my own...so delicious) All in all, once again a great visit. thanks for that

Yesterday we ate at "Offen" for the second time in a week with a total of 3 adults and 2 children. I think that speaks for itself ;-) What can I say; just great! The food is high quality, very tasty and the price-performance ratio is simply right here. I had asparagus and it was perfect, delicious hollandaise sauce, the potatoes were great and we "balled" out of the restaurant. In addition, the service is very friendly (especially towards the children), attentive and quick. We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back soon. A super great guesthouse that is unfortunately rarely found anymore!

Ostersonntag wird bei Offen im 2 Schichten gebucht. Absolut nachvollziehbar, sonst könnte die Küche und der Service diese sehr gute Leistung nicht bringen. Die Location hält was sie auf der Website verspricht: ein gutbürgerliches Restaurant. Schön, dass es so etwas noch gibt. Gepflegte eingedeckte Tische, gut geschultes und kompetentes Personal und eine kleine, aber feine Menükarte. Hier war für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Wir waren sieben Personen und hatten die unterschiedlichsten Speisen bestellt. Angefangen mit einer köstlichen Spargelcremesuppe, weiter 7 verschiedenen Hauptgerichte und abschließend ein umfangreiches Dessertbüfett, da blieb kein Wunsch offen. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist völlig stimmig. Leider war es noch zu kalt für den Außenbereich. Das nächste Mal werden wir uns im Sommer dort verwöhnen lassen. Parkplätze sind in ausreichender Anzahl verfügbar. Fazit: ein absolut tolles Ostermahl. Dank an das Team!

Our friend wanted the advertised fried potatoes but without onions! She can't stand this! The waitress told me that wasn't possible! Gasthaus Offen advertises itself as an upscale restaurant and then something like that… We probably won't go there again HR

I've loved Gasthaus Offen for ages. The people are warm-hearted, the service is very good. The food is very good country house cuisine, but without modern sophistication. It is very well received by the guests! The fried potatoes are refilled and, if necessary, special requests are not even charged. A great house! Important: You should make a reservation!

**Gasthaus Offen: A pleasure for all senses** Our afternoon at Gasthaus Offen was a complete success! The fried potatoes, served fresh on the fire at the table, are a highlight. The fillet steak was super tender and cooked to perfection. The whole menu was simply delicious!! We were a group of 13 people and everyone was 100% satisfied. Unreservedly recommended!

For vegetarians, the request was rejected to have the fried potatoes without bacon. The waitress's harsh answer was that the chef wouldn't do that. It's a shame that no consideration is taken here and then, as we all know, it's the sound that makes the music.

….it still exists, the classic country inn…. where you immediately feel comfortable and welcome as a guest. -super professional and extremely friendly and careful service that is no longer a given today. The menu, in its diversity, leaves nothing to be desired. The quality of the food is just outstanding absolutely worth a visit. We'll definitely come back.

There were 5 of us there, we each ate a different dish and we were all very enthusiastic. The portions are generous, everything tastes great and the service is very competent and friendly. More is not possible! We would be happy to come back and can only recommend the inn.

Gasthaus Offen is a very nice restaurant with a hearty and fine menu. Everyone will find something suitable here. I would also like to mention the delicious fried potatoes. Service very friendly. Owner absolutely impossible, unreasonable and arrogant. Goose leg was completely dried out, old and fibrous. Not recommended!

Mit 12 Personen zum Grünkohlessen. Schon beim Empfang wurden wir überaus freundlich begrüßt und zum schön eingedeckten Tisch begleitet. Die Bedienung am Tisch war durchgängig schnell und zuvorkommend. Ein gut gezapftes Bier begleitete unseren hervorragenden Grünkohl und die krossen Bratkartoffeln, die in Pfannen serviert und auf Rechauds warm gehalten wurden. Das Fleisch und die Würste waren von sehr guter Qualität. Weniger Bauchspeck, mehr Kohlwurst? Alles kein Problem. Auch Fleisch wurde nachgefüllt. Der Service stand stets bereit, um unsere Wünsche zu erfüllen. Am Ende konnte wer wollte Kohl, Fleisch, Würste, die reichlich übrig geblieben waren, in verschließbaren Schalen mit nach Hause nehmen. Wir danken den Piepers mit Team für 3 schöne Stunden im Gasthof Offen. Klar, dass wir wiederkommen. Joachim Sassen

Am letzten Freitag sind wir in das Gasthaus Offen eingeladen worden. Das Essen war wie immer sehr gut. Die Portionen waren wieder viel zu groß. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Großartig! Wir wollten ewig schon zusammen hin, am 1. Advent spontan geschafft. Es war gut gefüllt zur späten Mittagszeit, sehr angenehm gemischtes Publikum. Grünkohl á la card, reichlich, gut gewürzt, schmackhaft. Der Service war einer der Besten, den ich in einer langen Zeit erlebt habe. Preise absolut fair für die Menge und Qualität. Absolute Empfehlung, wir kommen gern viel.

Seit tatsächlich mehr als 2 Jahrzehnten gehe ich da immer wieder sehr gerne essen. Es gibt wunderbar leckere, reichhaltige, deutsche Hausmannskost. Preis/Leistung ist super angesichts der gereichten Portionen.

Traditionelle Hausmannskost, freundliche Bedienung, Familienbetrieb, sehr leckere Bratkartoffeln. "Deutsche" Küche wie bei Muttern. Gänsebrust war sehr lecker. Kompliment an die Küche.

Typischer Landgasthof für die Generation ü65. Etwas „verstaubtes“ Ambiente. Gute, gut bürgerliche Karte mit Tendenz zur regionalen Küche.

Ich war eingeladen, hatte eine Kürbissuppe, danach Roastbeef kalt mit hausgemachter sehr sehr leckerer Remouladensauce und Bratkartoffeln, als Dessert Walnusseis mit heißen Zimtpflaumen ein Träumchen. Ich freue mich schon aufs nächste Mal.

Zum wiederholten Mal unsere Weihnachtsfeier dort gefeiert. Wenn man deutsche Küche mag gibt es nicht viele Restaurants, die besser sind. Highlights sind das Roastbeef und die Bratkartoffeln, aber auch die Gänsebrust oder die Ente.

Preis/Leistung top, toller und netter Service und ein Grünkohl mit allem Drum und Dran - mehr als überzeugend. Ein Besuch lohnt sich immer. Wichtig Tisch reservieren.

Wir waren seit sehr langer Zeit mal wieder im Gasthaus Offen und es hat uns wieder sehr gut gefallen: Die Service- Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, das Essen war sehr lecker. Mein Mann hat die riesige Haxe gegessen und war begeistert.

Ausgesprochen schöner Landgasthof mit umfangreichem Angebot. Von Fisch über Fleisch bis hin zum Geflügel- für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei.Ausgesprochen nett der Service mit geschultem Auge alles im Blick.

Schon in meiner Kindheit war Offen mein Lieblingsrestaurant und in meiner Jugend habe ich so manches Osterfeuer nebenan begangen und einige Schlachtfeste hier gefeiert. Offen ist immer ein Garant für ein anständiges Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und gute Landgastronomie mit bester Hausmannskost. Die Bratkartoffeln sind Kult und seit Jahrzehnten von gleichbleibenden Qualität wie auch das dazugehörige Roastbeef mit hausgemachter Remouladensauce. Mein herbstlicher Favorit ist der Wildschweinbraten , von welchem durchschnittliche Esser guten Gewissens auch die kleine Portion bestellen können. Dank auch an Frau Pieper für die nette persönliche Note ! Die Krokette hätte ich doch noch nehmen sollen und das Handy hat der Henning dann doch ausgeschaltet - lach- ;)

Ich hatte ein Schnitzel mit Pommes und Salat, auf meine Allergie wurde gut geachtet, die Schnitzel waren sehr groß und die Schüssel pomes habe ich kaum geschafft, das Personal war sehr freundlich

Rustikale Karte und sehr freundliches, zugewandtes Personal. Besonders zu empfehlen: die Bratkartoffeln. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Das Essen war super. Etwas blöde, dass der Biergarten und das Restaurant getrennt abgerechnet werden. Somit mussten wir von innen nach außen wechseln. Im Außenbereich gab es eine andere Karte. Die Bedienung war teilweise zickig. Hängt wahrscheinlich mit dem älteren Publikum zusammen. Man merkt einfach die Arroganz, dass sie es einfach nicht nötig haben. Der Laden ist ja voll. Kann man machen aber junge Leute fasziniert diese Einstellung überhaupt nicht.

Wir wollten am Sonntag mit 7 Personen um 12.30 Uhr zum Essen kommen. Geht nicht - entweder 12.00 oder 14.00 Uhr. Gegessen wird im 2-Stunden-Takt! Nach 2 Stunden muss der Platz geräumt werden, weil die nächste Schicht an der Reihe ist ....

Danke Familie „Offen“ & Team fürs durchhalten in diesen schwierigen Zeiten. Wir sind immer wieder gerne Gäste im Gasthaus Offen und lieben dieses alte Traditions-Haus. Die Bratkartoffeln sind legendär und natürlich auch die anderen Gerichte, immer wieder lecker und gut. Man bekommt was man bestellt und das auch immer reichlich. Für jeden ist etwas dabei der gerne gut bürgerlich und ehrlich essen mag. Wir freuen uns schon jetzt auf die Biergartenzeit dort. Wir ziehen den Hut, vor dieser Arbeit, grade in dieser Zeit und sind dankbar das wir immer noch essen gehen können. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne…
