Gasthaus Obermühle in Offenbach am Main

The food was okay, nothing special, and the portions were just about adequate. Our table right next to the kitchen somewhat spoiled the atmosphere.

We were at the Gasthaus Obermühle with a group of 18 people, and everyone was completely satisfied. We had pre-ordered food and were immediately served drinks. A small change to our pre-order was no problem either. The service was friendly and quick. The food was very well seasoned, piping hot, and we all felt very comfortable. It's great that such a lovely Hessian inn still exists. Keep it up! If we're in the area again, this will be our destination. We've added it to our Google favorites.

A popular restaurant in Bieber. Child- and dog-friendly. Very friendly service. The menu is meat-heavy. There aren't enough options for vegetarians. Good value for money.

So far, everything was pretty good. The owner was a bit strict at first; perhaps we were early, and only three minutes after opening, we happened to pass by and went in, but it's still worth a visit.

The food was delicious, the seating was shady among the trees, the atmosphere was very idyllic, and the staff were friendly. We'll definitely be back soon 😀 Addendum: We were here again - the food was delicious again - the beer garden is simply small and charming, and it's a pleasure to come here.

Very nicely done, a real insider tip. A cozy atmosphere, but very loud in the dining room when I was there. Otherwise, everything was really good. Friendly and fast, courteous service. The food was super delicious, everything freshly prepared, so there was a bit of a wait, but it was definitely worth it. Great, keep it up.

Personally, it's a great location and a great beer garden with friendly service. The food is delicious and not only looks good, but tastes good too. A lovely atmosphere in the beer garden, and the seating is very pleasant. The beer is very tasty and something different from the Binding in the region, and the apple wine is also okay. The bottle of water for €6.20 is of course OK, but very expensive for the region. Ate there for the first time yesterday. The food was delicious, but the response to my request for chicken schnitzel was great, and luckily there's an alternative. But the pork alternative was €20.60, plus €2.70 for Champion cream, a nice price for Bürgel (a kind of sausage). The response to that was, "Quality has its price." OK 👍 w If the alternative is more expensive, not breaded, and the price isn't mentioned, then quality has its price for the customer. Perhaps the owner should pay a visit to Frankfurt Sachsenhausen. There are affordable apple wine bars that offer better quality, are significantly cheaper, and also have great service. Unfortunately, flexibility isn't a given in Bürgel. After a few guests arrived shortly after 9:03 p.m., they were informed that the kitchen was closed. That's fine for the staff, too, but as a customer, I wouldn't come back to your establishment either. Thank you for the friendly service and the food. We'd gladly come back for drinks; for expensive food and €4.90 Misspelchen, we'd rather go to Sachsenhausen.

Persönlich super Location und ein toller Biergarten mit einem netten Service. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und sieht nicht nur gut aus, sondern schmeckt auch gut. Schöne Atmosphäre im Biergarten und als Gast sitzt man sehr nett. Das Bier sehr lecker und mal was anderes als Binding in der Region, der Apfelwein auch ok. Die Flasche Wasser für 6,20 ist natürlich OK aber am Ende der Region sehr teuer. Gestern zum ersten mal Gegessen. Essen lecker aber auf die Anfrage Hähnchen Schnitzel super reagiert und zum Glück gibt es eine Alternative. Aber zur Alternative Schwein, 20,60 € Plus für Champion Rahm 2,70 €, netter Preis für Bürgel. Darauf wurde geantwortet Qualität hat seinen Preis. OK 👍 w Wenn die Alternative teurer, nicht paniert, Preis nicht angesprochen wird, dann hat Qualität für den Kunden seinen Preis. Vielleicht sollte der Besitzer einen Besuch in Frankfurt Sachsenhausen machen. Es gibt günstige Apfelwein Wirtschaften die bessere Qualität haben, wesentlich günstiger sind und auch einen super Service haben. Flexibilität kennt man leider nicht so in Bürgel, nachdem ein paar Gäste kurz nach 21.03.Uhr gekommen waren, wurde Ihnen mitgeteilt das die Küche geschlossen hat. Ist ok auch für das Personal, aber als Kunde würde ich in eurem Laden auch nicht mehr kommen. Vielen Dank für den netten Service und das Essen. Bei den Getränken kommen wir gerne wieder, für teueres Essen und Misspelchen für 4,90€ fahren wir doch Lieber nach Sachsenhausen.

Nice restaurant for a day trip. Unfortunately, the food wasn't worth the price, and the beer tasted bland and stale. The service clearly needed some practice. The atmosphere was okay. Conclusion: Unfortunately, not recommended, sorry.

Nice guesthouse with attention to detail. We were invited there by friends who visit the Obermühle inn often. For us it was the first but not the last visit. The memory card is in Hessian, which I personally really liked. The service was very nice and attentive. The interior is very lovingly decorated. You always discover little things that make you very happy. The outside area with lots of tables is also very inviting. Play opportunities for children are also available. There are enough parking spaces. A reservation is not absolutely necessary, but I would recommend it.

Yes, of course - gladly again and again. For “spicy lovers” chili cream schnitzel is a must. Beautiful beer garden under chestnut trees with a playground.

Traditional restaurant, very attentive staff, menu with something for everyone, good value for money

Always a good place to eat. Located in the middle of the Bieberer Feld, the restaurant offers something for everyone. You should be careful, especially in summer. In the evening hours, many mosquitoes tend to rise and help themselves to the guests who are outside. Annoying. But that's just nature. The food is very good, the staff friendly and competent. The toilets are always clean. What I like about this is that it works with rainwater. Very commendable!! The surrounding area invites you to take a walk after your meal. Flat paths, a few benches where you can rest and the beaver dam provide enough opportunity for a nice change. I like being here.

Back then, our school class stayed there. Was fine. However, there may be inexpensive as well as high-quality options in the surrounding area...

Very good food. But if you're going with a group of 60 people, the food should be served table by table, rather than (at different times) all the schnitzels first, then all the roast goose, etc., and by the time the poor devils who ordered cheese spaetzle get their food, the schnitzel crowd is already finished eating. If you can't manage it logistically, you shouldn't even bother hosting such large groups. The food itself is so excellent, though, that I would go back for dinner for just the two of us anytime.

We are regular guests at the Obermühle and are always very satisfied. We were there on Christmas Day. The setting was attractive, and even though they "only" had a smaller menu, there was really something for everyone! The staff were prompt, as always, and, as always, even when things were hectic, friendly and accommodating. Regarding the prices, all I can say is, if you want good food, it comes at a price... We look forward to our next visit to the Obermühle. And by the way... Happy New Year to the whole team!!!

First of all: unfortunately, you can't give negative points! We went out to eat today (Boxing Day). They said there would be a special menu. The menu with 5 dishes was okay, but charging €37 per dish was outrageous. Whether it was roast, goose, goulash, or loin, it was all €37. I mean, we had eaten at a *hotel the day before, and it wasn't that exorbitantly expensive. In total, our meal (4 people) cost €165.80. A salad was served beforehand. It was okay, but nothing more. Then the meal, the roast beef, the loin as dry and hard as shoe soles. They bought the ready-made spaetzle (you can get them at Rewe for 99 cents, by the way) and a ready-made sauce on top. The food wasn't even worth a tenner on the plate. It was, without exaggeration, the worst food we've ever had!!! What a disappointment!! Oh, and after half the food was returned, we were offered a free coffee as compensation, served by the grumpy proprietor. He was probably offended that we answered honestly when asked if we enjoyed our meal. The dessert was so-so, a matter of taste. Gingerbread mousse and apples in a glass. NEVER AGAIN!

During our short vacation in Hesse, we came across the "Obermühle" while looking for typical Hessian cuisine and have to say, it was a golden opportunity, from the ambience to the extremely plentiful range of food on offer to the very tasty preparation, a successful evening. Thank you.

The food used to be really great and the atmosphere is still very nice. We always enjoyed the minced steak Obermühle in the past, but this time we tried a salad plate with sheep's cheese for €16.80. What arrived on the plate was really a disgrace. Already collapsed lettuce leaves, no fresh herbs and the slices of sheep's cheese made the entire portion very clear. There was no response to the complaint. Apparently you can afford it. However, you have lost us as loyal guests and we prefer to go to the adjacent beer gardens where there is better quality for the money

Good Hessian cuisine and it's best when it's open outside because you're almost sitting in the forest and it's quiet.

Liver cheese with fries. The Leberkäse is coarse and wasn't advertised as such on the menu. This tasted awful. Cartilage and tough muscle tissue. The fries were fried in old oil and had a correspondingly disgusting taste. Never again....

The food is simple but good and with a nice playground for the children it is also recommended for families. What really bothers me, however, is that they only take Girocards (it's 2024?!) and issue interim invoices. Unfortunately, this mars what was otherwise a good experience.

Four people order four dishes, 1 hour later, 2/4 dishes arrive, the rest were forgotten. No apologies, no courts. Given the prices (almost 20% more expensive than 6 months ago) absolutely not recommended.

Idyllic, great food, quick and friendly service...

We had lunch in the beautiful beer garden. The beer garden is very quiet and great for children. The small playground (unfortunately a bit worn out) is a highlight for children. The food was good except for the green sauce. The green sauce was prepared the day before, but it tasted like it was no longer good. The other pot of green sauce tasted normal. It's a shame and of course paid in full.

Have been there off and on for a few years. Overall, we like it quite a bit, the food is delicious, and the chili schnitzel is an exceptional recommendation. When we visited last week, the seasoning was a little lacking, but it was still good.

Unfortunately the green sauce was inedible, it was accepted and another dish was offered for a fee. I returned the dish with the green sauce almost untouched and was still charged for it. So stay away

The food is really very tasty, but the portion size does not meet expectations considering the pricing. The staff is super friendly, but unfortunately unprofessional - seems a bit overwhelmed.

We had two portions of asparagus with schnitzel and asked for an additional portion of ham, but it was charged as a children's schnitzel, even though it only consisted of three slices of ham and was quite expensive at €7. In addition, some asparagus were not cooked properly. When asked, we were told that the price difference between the children's schnitzel and the extra portion of ham was irrelevant, which we cannot understand. It would have been nice if the bill had been adjusted accordingly.

4/14/24 We agreed to meet there again for lunch. As always, we were greeted warmly and friendly. The service was attentive, friendly and quick. The food tasted good as always. However, the price/performance ratio has reached its highest limit. In 2020 Food very good. Service friendly. The winter menu is just not for everyone. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars!

Really really excellent food! I've been there twice so far (summer & spring) and both times it was very good. Price-wise it's OK. There is usually enough parking space in front of the house. Unfortunately the opening times are quite limited, but when the restaurant is open it is worth a visit.

Typical inn with Hessian dishes. For the first time I ate pork steak with onions/bacon and gratinated with Harz cheese. The portions are large and the side salad is generous.

Went there spontaneously yesterday, everyone ate schnitzel, I left mine completely behind, the skin was squishy, ​​stuck to the schnitzel, wasn't baked properly and was only briefly dipped in the fat and then continued to cook in the convector. Really stuck to the schnitzel and attached correctly. I couldn't eat it despite the delicious sauce. This only happens if schnitzels are pre-breaded and lie there forever/on top of each other until they are fried. Salad, fries, sauce were delicious and I was full. Service was super friendly but the money was thrown away for the food/schnitzel. My companion's schnitzel was at least a little browned and then everyone said it was ok! Now I've paid for everything and haven't rehearsed any rebellion, but I don't have to have that again!!!

A very well-kept but rustic inn with a small, good selection. The roast pork with Altbier sauce is great. It's wonderful here even in summer.

Sehr freundliches Personal, Essen hat super geschmeckt, schnelle Zubereitung, auch bei einer großen Personenzahl, für Gruppen geeignet, uriges Restaurant mit regionaler Speisenauswahl. Hier wird jeder fündig. Wenn das Restaurant voll ist, sind sie Parkplätze eher zu wenig. Aber mit 2 Minuten Fußweg, kann an der Straße geparkt werden.

Ein Ort, an dem die Zeit stehen geblieben scheint. Dies gilt nicht für die Qualitäten von Service, Speisen und Getränken! Das Gasthaus, urgemütlich auf dem Land gelegen, urgemütlich eingerichtet, verzaubert durch wohnliches Ambiente und hervorragende Mitarbeiter. Es kam mir, trotz erstmaligem Besuch, so vor, als sei ich meinen Lebtag dort Stammgast - und das ohne künstliches Brimborium. Ich freue mich schon auf die Frühlingszeit, dann werde ich im Gasthaus regelmäßig verkehren: draußen, im urigen Biergarten.

Gutes Restaurant mit regionalen Gerichte.

Alles in allem ein nettes Restaurant, sehr urig, es gibt aber angenehme Ecken, wo denen man sich gut unterhalten kann. Beim Essen empfinde ich die Auswahl etwas eintönig. Es gibt nur drei vegetarische Gerichte. Hier würde ich mir etwas mehr Vielfalt wünschen, da das fleischlose Essen immer wichtiger wird. Kann aber auch gut sein, dass dieses Haus auch mehr auf Fleischesser abzielt. Ich hatte die Ofenkartoffel, die meiner Meinung nach eine ganz normale Pellkartoffel war und nicht aus dem Ofen kam, leider sehr lieblos mit bisschen Karottensalat und Sauerkraut angerichtet und einem Industriekräuterquark, hier würde ich mir etwas mehr Variationen wünschen, vielleicht verschiedene Quarksorten und einen ordenltichen Salat, keine Sachen aus dem Glas.

Gut bürgerliches Essen und leckeres frisches gezapftes Andechser Bier. Es gibtaich ein schönen Biergarten.

Gut bürgerliche Küche zu normalen Preisen. Das Personal war sehr nett und insbesondere kinderfreundlich. Sitzgelegenheiten gibt es sowohl drinnen, als auch draußen. Eine Besonderheit ist der Spielplatz auf dem Gelände. Für junge Familien sehr zu empfehlen.

Sehr schönes Restaurant, mitten im Feld. Parkplätze stehen auch viele zur Verfügung. Personal ist sehr nett und flott.

Die Obermühle kann man zweifelsohne jederzeit jemanden ans Herz legen, wenn man in Offenbach auf der Suche ist nach schee traditioneller und einheimischer Hausmannskost. Der Biergarten mit Schaukel und kleinem Kinderspielplatz gehört schlichtweg zu den idyllischsten Plätzen auf Offenbacher Gemarkung. Die Obermühle liegt nämlich mitten im Feld, ringsherum nur Natur. Beim ersten Besuch in der Gaststätte selbst war ich schon sehr zufrieden, aber der Platz unter freiem Himmel is noch besser. Heute gabs Rippchen mit Kraut und anstatt Brot mit Bratkartoffeln. Das Fleisch war bestens, auch wenn es net riesig war und das Sauerkraut ebenfalls sehr lecker. Einziger Schwachpunkt waren die "Gerösteten", leider komplett ungesalzen und auch net sonderlich knusprig. Zudem wurden dafür noch knapp 3 € Aufpreis berechnet. Das Rest der 10-köpfigen Handballer-Truppe war mehr als zufrieden, deshalb will ich net unnötig meckern. In der Gartenwirtschaft wurde von allerhand jungen Mädels zackig und freundlich bedient. Also ich komm gern hier her. (Stand 07/2016)

Hier wird das Essen direkt vor Ort gegart und dampfend serviert , also hetzen Sie nicht zum Teller , sondern warten Sie ein paar Sekunden , in denen Sie ein Glas Äppelwoi probieren können.

Uriges, typisch hessisches Restaurant mit vielen kulinarischen Klassikern. Unser Top-Gericht steht nicht auf der Karte: Grill-Biorippsche mit Bratkadoffel und Grüner Soß. Dazu ein Äbbelwoi. Besser geht’s nicht!

Wir sind regelmäßig hier zu Gast, da es direkt um die Ecke ist. Entspanntes Biergartenambiente, toller Service - aber die Preise sind wirklich unverhältnismäßig: mindestens auf gehobenem Frankfurter Apfelweinlokal Niveau, quasi keine Hauptspeise unter 15€. Dazu keine überdurchschnittlichen Portionen oder nett angerichtet. Von vegetarischen Alternativen keine Spur.

Gutes Essen zu moderaten Preisen.

Update 18.8.2023: Heute waren wir mit dem Fahrrad da und es war alles erneut super. Sehr schöner Biergarten in ruhiger und gemütlicher Lage. Nettes Personal und gutes Essen.

Auf einer kleinen Radrunde sind wir hier in der Obermühle eingekehrt. Die erste sehr positive Überraschung waren die vielen Fahrradständer was uns sehr gut gefallen hat. Wir haben direkt im großen Biergarten einen Platz gefunden. Zum Essen hatten wir das Champignonschnitzel und ein Zwiebelschnitzel. Beides wurde mit einem leckeren Beilagensalat gereicht. Für meinen Geschmack hätte das Champignonschnitzel deutlich würziger sein können. Die Pommes waren kross und haben gut zum etwas festen Schnitzel gepasst. Der Preis ist etwas zu hoch.

Der Name Gasthaus passt! Wer hier einen eingedeckten Tisch mit Tischdecke und Stoffservietten erwartet ist hier falsch. Das Gasthaus liegt schön am Wald- und Feldrand mit Biergarten gelegen. Die Bedienung ist freundlich, schnell und aufmerksam. Was man bestellt bekommt man, es könnte schon ein bisschen schöner angerichter sein, auf den Bratkartoffeln ein bisschen Petersilie ein kleines Blatt Salat und eine Scheibe Tomate oder sonstiges, könnte dem Auge, da man sagt, das Auge isst mit aber schon gut tun.

Sehr schöner Gasthof mit Biergarten. Die Speisen waren sehr, sehr gut und reichlich. Der Service bot wiederum Licht und Schatten - die Dame, die unsere Bestellung aufnahm und servierte und sich den Abend über immer wieder um uns kümmerte war sehr nett, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ihr männliches Pendant war jedoch sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig - frech, schnippisch und teilweise unverschämt. Etwas befremdlich ist es auch, dass man ab 21:30 Uhr keine Sahne mehr erhält - nicht auf Eis, Nachspeisen oder Kaffee- weil die "Sahnemaschine🤔🤔" schon gereinigt sei. Das exzellente Essen und die freundliche Dame der Bedienung rechtfertigen jedoch die vier Sterne.
