We had lunch at Lamm last week. We enjoyed all the dishes! We really enjoyed the soup of the day, which is offered free of charge before the meal! There was no delay in service. The waitress was particularly polite! The atmosphere was very friendly. Nice cozy facility! We will visit Gasthaus Lamm very soon!

I had gyros yesterday, they were old, dry and absolutely inedible. It's incomprehensible how you can serve something like that. Our dog would probably have refused them. When paying with a Visa card, the card was declined. Never again.

The best Greek restaurant in town with tasty food and polite staff. Especially Maria is a professional waitress and we were treated with greek Ouzo at the end of our meal. I definitely recommend it!

After a hard week, I wanted to have a nice evening with my husband without cooking. My aperitif was forgotten, even though I said it twice. My starter was not rewarded, when I asked I was asked whether I had already eaten it. Then came a bland iceberg lettuce, which is probably part of the meal. The rice was missing from the main course. The vegetables were from the freezer bag without any seasoning. The sea bream was tasty but cold. Ambience: the children present had fun running around the restaurant. It's a shame, we used to enjoy being there and were happy. Afraid of another visit.

This restaurant has been changed a lot! The food is delicious, the girl Maria is so polite and sweet..i felt like home! So warm decoration, like a greek village! The salads are so fresh and so tasty and the meat is the best in town .I love it...!Yannis and Maria thank you so much! We enjoy the ouzo too!!! We will definitely come again!!

This is my favourite restaurant in Germany! I travel a lot and these hosts are amazing people..they cook with love and the food is traditional greek,fresh and tasty!!!

Service not very good but not very bad either. Waiting time to eat was 35 minutes even though only 3 tables were occupied. Starter ok. Main course disaster. Very high price for poor quality

You don't have to have it. Went to dinner at Lamm with 10 people on Sunday evening. There were only about 3 tables occupied. The first impression is somewhat skeptical. Ambiance from the 70s, cool, uncomfortable. We sat at a window and had to close the curtains because it was drafty. Service is underground. Unfriendly and it took a long time until we could order. Drinks are not taken in first, but rather everything together. Then it took too long again for the drinks to come. There was enough service. The food is not worth mentioning. A Greek farmer's salad consists of carelessly piled tomatoes and cucumbers as well as 2 triangles of sheep's cheese. Not well seasoned, with two slices of stale bread on the side, which has nothing to do with Greece. Souflaki dry and poorly seasoned. Lamb chop died on the grill for the second time. Gyros mighty dry. The side salad consists of ice-cold leaves with a thick white ready-made sauce. Nothing Greek about it. The only thing that was OK were the fries. You almost can't go wrong there. However, the potato slices with the grill plate were just fries in a different shape. I expect something different in a Greek restaurant. Since neither the food nor the service nor the ambience are even remotely convincing, there is really no reason to come here. In addition, the sanitary facilities were in extremely poor condition. It is a mystery to me how a “restaurant” like this can survive.

A nice restaurant. The service was courteous and friendly. Even more is possible when it comes to eating. For example, that it arrives hot to the guest and should the chef be familiar with spices or is he in love??? (too much salt) It would be nice if you or the chef thought about what they expect of the guest (perhaps less from cans and ready-made sauces) because then you can really be recommended.

Unfortunately, our visit to this Greek restaurant was disappointing. The taste of the food was okay, but the portions were clearly too small for the price. Although the restaurant was hardly busy, we had to wait almost 1.5 hours for our food - a waiting time that is absolutely incomprehensible. Unfortunately, I was also served the wrong food. I had ordered gratinated gyros with Metaxa sauce, but received a dish that contained Metaxa sauce, but was not a gyro and was not gratinated. Since I initially assumed that it was the dish I had ordered, I began to eat. It was only towards the end of our meal that the boss came to rudely point out to us that we had actually received the wrong dish. Instead of apologizing for the mistake, we were treated in a rude manner and had to pay the significantly higher price for the incorrectly served dish - a treatment that was neither customer-oriented nor professional. Overall, the long waiting times, the small portions and the unfriendly treatment unfortunately made the visit a negative experience for us.

We've been to the lamb restaurant several times now and it's always tasted great. The salad as a starter is very juicy and tasty. What I can highly recommend is the Rovies plate and Gyros Metaxa. Both are very good. The service is also nice and we even got ouzo on the house. In my opinion the prices are quite reasonable. I absolutely can't understand all the bad reviews.

We had a spontaneous meal at Lamm at the weekend. We were warmly welcomed and given a table (without a reservation). The food came quite quickly and was very, very tasty. We had Gyros and Gyros Metaxa once. Both were very good and the portion was great (we even had to have it wrapped). Highly recommended👍 Would love to go again!

We were greeted very friendly, my dog ​​was no obstacle. We were led to a table which also offered enough space for my dog. The memory card was enough. After a long and beautiful day of hiking, a good dinner should be the end of a great day. The wonderful historic old town of Engen was our destination and so we came to the Lamm, which looked cozy from the outside. As soon as you were assigned a table you had the feeling that you weren't welcome. The table was wiped greasy, everything had a touch of uncleanness. We chose the most expensive dish, an “Argentinian beef steak” and another dish, moussaka. The meal took over 1 hour! until it came. I have never eaten such a bad steak for the price of €32. Completely without any taste, it left a bland and “floury” taste on the palate. The bird shot down the moussaka. Completely careless, without any pretty garnish, the cut-out piece lay on the plate as if from a ready-made mold. Visibly not fresh moussaka, pre-cooked or even ready-made. It was all just a mush, no ingredients recognizable, the chef should just be ashamed of a plate like that. What happened to the catering industry for these prices?

A bad and disgraceful service. We (group of 6 people) preferred to leave the food alone. After 15 minutes I couldn't even place an order for drinks, but I received enough arrogant gestures and comments. Never again.

We were rudely turned away yesterday evening, August 7, 2024, at around 7 p.m. during normal opening hours without sufficient explanation. We wanted to have a spontaneous Greek meal with two people. The terrace was full, we would have liked to have sat at a table inside! Despite the beautiful weather! The kitchen was still open. We were very hungry. We were succinctly informed that only the guests already present would be served. There was a problem in the kitchen, the waiter was carrying several plates of food to the terrace. As we were leaving the restaurant a family came towards us, they were obviously allowed to stay, had they reserved a table beforehand? If the problem had been explained to us in more detail in a friendly manner, we would not have been so disappointed. But like that, never again! Only one star and only because you have to give at least one!

Despite the bad rating, we wanted to enjoy a meal on the terrace. Tables and chairs were wet, the weather was good again. We were told very unkindly that if it rained again, there would be no space in the restaurant. 5.30 p.m. no big crowd... We left the restaurant because of unfriendliness and sat outside in the Ristorante Capri at 9 p.m. when the weather was nice and had a delicious meal there. 5 stars there. Greek in Engen never again.

Unfortunately the service (on the terrace) was nothing. We were ignored for a long time (25 minutes) and were just about to get up and leave when the waiter came. Drink and food came normally quickly, the food was quite good. Nobody came to clear the plates or order anything else, so we went in to pay. (Seems to be normal) Unfortunately it wasn't particularly cheap...

We made a reservation here for a group of 11 and there is no problem with space. The restaurant has an outdoor terrace as well. We ordered a variety of dishes, all were good. The lunch menu was very reasonable.

Went to the Lamm for the first time today (driven from Tuttlingen to Engen) and weren't particularly impressed. Had 2x gyros calamari, gyros good and tasty, but not enough. Calamari very good, but honestly? 3 ridiculous rings of squid with little gyros for €18.40? That's not fair. The quality was good but just far too little for THIS price. It's a shame, it was probably the first and unfortunately last time there.

Just had dinner there. If you can call it that. Salt the calamaries. The potatoes are dry just like the meat. Service very unfriendly. Salad plates were not cleared away. Then the main menu came. When asked why I returned almost the entire main course. I said that the meat and potatoes were too dry. No apology from the waiter, no compensation. Have to pay full price. Very unfortunate. Don't become a repeat offender there.

Very nice service, very good meat (we had suvlaki, gyros and bifteki, all three lean and very well cooked). Only the salad was quite lean (only iceberg lettuce, carrots and sauce). Unfortunately, the children's portion was not enough for our son (4.5) (3 fish fingers). We would still go again.

Nice view terrace, friendly staff, but small portion at lunch: 1.5 scoop gyros in Metaxa sauce with a small handful of fried potato slices, no salad. Even 12 euros is too much for that. Not filling, but delicious.

Starter a bit small for the price. Main course hardly tastes like Metaxa with the gratinated gyros with Metaxa sauce, promised mushrooms 🍄 well, you look for it with a magnifying glass. Conditions are friendly but once you've eaten you'll be forgotten. Not recommended. Maybe it was an exception.

Unfortunately, the Gasthaus Lamm has declined massively in recent years. After multiple visits, various dishes are no longer available. Last visit no salmon, turkey, sheep or goat cheese. The scalloped beans came without cheese. The salad (withered) with goat cheese is missing the main ingredient (not disclosed, but charged the full price). The gyros served after a very long wait (over 1 1/2 hours) was an insult. Reheated pork, tough, dry. I preferred not to eat the calamari because of the smell. The best part was the side potatoes and wine. A single disappointment for €120. Sorry, but it really doesn't work that way.

Cozy Greek restaurant with free ouzo with your meal. The vegetarian dish was okay, 1 baked eggplant slice, some fried potato slices (instead of fries) was, like the other dishes, only lukewarm and not worth the money for €15.90. However, side salad was good. 2nd drink was forgotten, service generally not attentive, even though the restaurant was almost empty.

Ser lecker toller Service für große Leute sind die Stühle nicht geeignet aber sonst super Was schade war es gab kaum vegetarische Alternativen

Waren sehr zufrieden. Kann man mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen.

Ich sage nur: Stifado!!! Unfassbar zartes Lamm im Töpfchen, Schalotten, etwas Zimt… herrlich! Als Dessert durfte der schaumig cremige griechische Joghurt mit Honig und viel Walnüssen nicht fehlen! Die Vorspeisen waren auch super lecker, sowie das Kartoffelgratin- wir kommen wieder!

Zufällig fanden wir dieses Lokal in Engen am Bodensee. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und preislich nicht überteuert. Der Service ist top. Hier gibt es einige Parkplätze und jedemenge Platz für Gäste. Das Lokal ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Schönes Restaurant mit einem sehr zuvorkommenden und freundlichen Service. Ich kann mir Vorstellen, dass die Terrasse im Sommer sehr angenehm ist. Das essen war gut und ist sicher den Preis wert. Vor allem die Zaziki hat mich überzeugt.

Der schlechteste Grieche im Umkreis das Essen ist fad gewesen das Essen viel zu teuer für den Geschmack die Bedienung hätte lieber krank gemacht das einzig schöne der Ausblick zum Ballenberg.

Wir waren am Sonntag essen. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht. Der Service war unfreundlich. Das Essen wurde lieblos serviert. Die Kartoffelchips waren zu hart. Ich hatte Riesenbohnen bestellt in der Auflaufform mit Lammfleisch. Das Essen war lauwarm. Die Bohnen sahen unappetitlich aus. Meine Frau hatte Gyros. Das Fleisch war zu hart und zu scharf gewürzt. .... Also nie nie wieder!!!

Einmal und Nie wieder. Suflakispiesse zwar zart aber nahezu ungewürzt. Keine Spur von Griechenland schmeckbar! Pommes-frites versalzen total überwürzt. Tsatziki schmeckte, als käme es aus einem Eimer. Knoblauchbrot verbrannt. Bauernsalat den hätte jeder besser hinbekommen. Der Beilagensalat war die Krönung. Alt, zusammengematscht einfach nur unterste Kategorie. Wir können die guten Bewertungen nicht verstehen. So schlecht waren wir noch nie griechisch essen.

Wir sind wegen der guten Bewertungen in das Lokal. Auf der Terrasse waren freie Tische und wir haben freundlich nach einem Platz gefragt. Der junge Mann hat uns geantwortet, dass es keine freien Plätze im Außenbereich gibt. Wir wollten dann drinnen Platz nehmen, da kam die Chefin und dann gab es freie Plätze draußen. Es war etwa die Hälfte der Tische frei, da haben wir uns gefreut. Leider zu früh. Der Tisch neben uns hatte schon eine Wartezeit von 2 Stunden und andere Tische, die später kamen hatten ihr Essen schon. Leider ging es uns ebenso. Nach zwei Stunden Wartezeit hatten wir unser Essen immernoch nicht. Auf Nachfrage bekamen wir die Antwort, dass sie auch hofft dass das Essen bald kommt. Nach weiteren 20 Minuten wir haben dann unsere Getränke bezahlt und sind gegangen. Was an uns vorbeigetrangen wurde hat gut ausgesehen, leider war es uns wohl nicht vergönnt dort zu essen. Schade, wir werden sicher nicht wiederkommen.

Wir waren heute im Lamm Essen und sind enttäuscht. Athen Teller mit Lammkotlett, Suflaki und Gyros war leider nicht das, was ich erwartet habe. Das Suflaki und das Gyros waren sehr trocken und schwer zu schneiden. Der überdimensionierte Basmati Reis hat dieses Gericht leider auch nicht gerettet. Die Küche hat meiner Meinung nach sehr nachgelassen. Schade.

Sehr guter preiswerter Mittagstisch Schöne Terrasse, netter und aufmerksamer Service. Wir waren zu dritt, alle Gerichte (Calamares, Rinderleber, Lammhack gefüllt) mit schmackhaften Beilagen. Sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis.

Essen war sehr lecker und freundliche Gastgeber. Eine Kritik hatte ich und meine Begleitung. Dieser mini Klecks Tzatziki ist viel zu wenig. Aber für ca. 4 Euro nachbestellen wollten wir nicht. Das kenne ich von anderen griechischen Restaurants nicht. Aber ansonsten waren wir zufrieden.

Wer keinen Wert auf guten Service legt, und schlechtes Essen mag ist hier richtig - alle anderen sollte sich ein anderes Lokal suchen! Zu diesen Punkten kommt hinzu, dass es weder Falschenwein (dafür sauren Hauswein) und kein stilles Wasser (dafür Leitungswasser zum vollen Preis des stillen) gab! Weiter so, dann haben wir in Engen bestimmt bald noch ein Restaurant weniger, obwohl es um dieses nicht schade wäre!

Salateller mit Gyros war Katastrophal , der Salat alt und verwelkt das Gyros vom aufwären verbrannt und Hart. Ein weiteres Gericht total versalzen und ebenfalls nicht geniessbar. Einfach eine totale Enttäuschung.

08/23 Waren zum Mittagessen in diesem Lokal. Servicepersonal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Lokal hat eine umfagreiche Speisekarte mit griechischen Spezialitäten. Hier findet man sicher was. Essen war sehr schön auf dem Teller angerichtet, geschmacklich rund und typisch griechisch. Uns hat es gut gemundet. Eine Empfehlung? Für mich Ja. Wir gehen sich wieder hin.

Naja , ich kann die vielen Sterne gar nicht verstehen … Der Preis für das Angebot ist total überzogen .. ich hatte ein Lammfilet bestellt … falls man es Filet nennen könnte …Es gab 2 dünne runde Streifen Fleisch in der Größe und Breite einer Bockwurst…. Und ja zur Tellerdeko …dass kann man schöner anrichten … Die Krönung… Tiefkühlbratkartoffeln … sowas geht mal gar nicht es ist doch das einfachste auf der Welt gute Bratkartoffeln selber zu machen ( Vorsicht wird als Kartoffelchips angepriesen)

Leider kann man die guten Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Die Bedienung war unfreundlich, nachdem wir Platz genommen hatten, dauerte es mindestens 15 Minuten bis sie zum aufnehmen der Getränke erscheinte. Sie hatte die ganze Zeit Telefoniert. Weinschorle mit Leitungswasser und lauwarm. Gyros war kalt und zäh. Am Schluss gab es auch keine Entschuldigung. Das einzige was positives ist, Die Einrichtung des Gasthauses und die Terrasse sind sehr einladend.

Großartiges, griechisches Restaurant

Schöne Terrasse zum draußen sitzen mit Blick auf die Engener Altstadt. Man sitzt drinnen aber auch nett. Das Essen ist sehr lecker. Habe heute 3 Vorspeisen gegessen. Calamari Ringe, überbackenen Schafskäse und Kartoffelscheiben und natürlich Tsatsiki. Der Service ist gut.

Wir haben diesen Ort in einer Zeitschrift gesehen und wollten diese Gaststätte ausprobieren. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, das Essen war sehr schmackhaft, die Lammhaxe super zart, die Auberginenscheibe mit Gemüse und Schafskäse überbacken ein Gedicht. Auch die Kartoffelscheiben paßten wunderbar dazu. Alles in allem ein super Essen. Wir werden trotz der weiten Anfahrt auf jeden Fall mal wieder kommen.

Es war unser 2. Besuch in diesem Restaurant, und auch dieses Mal wurden wir nicht enttäuscht. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, anscheinend hat man sich Kritik zu Herzen genommen. Die Karte ist typisch für ein griechisches Restaurant und bietet für jeden etwas. Das Essen selbst wurde trotz guter Auslastung am Sonntag zur Mittagszeit in angemessener Zeit serviert und war sehr gut. Es war verhalten gewürzt, was uns auch viel lieber ist. Die Portionen waren ausreichend bemessen und stimmig vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Das Ambiente ist angenehm, die Sitzgruppen sind mit großzügigem Abstand aufgestellt. Einen kleinen Punktabzug gab es, da der Blick über die Terrasse auf das schöne Engen etwas durch das Durcheinander und die Unaufgeräumtheit der Terrassenmöbel getrübt wurde. Aber ich denke dass dies beseitigt ist, sobald die Freiluftsaison beginnt. Leider war auch der Fußboden der Herrentoilette etwas klebrig, keine Ahnung was da beim Wischen verteilt wurde. Anstatt dem Papier im Handtuchspender war eine Rolle Küchenkrepp aufgestellt, die allerdings ihren Zweck erfüllte. Trotz der kleinen Makel bleibt es für mich bei einer klaren Empfehlung für dieses Restaurant!

Normalerweise ein ordentliches Restaurant, heute war es aber nicht so der Knüller. Essen an sich war geschmacklich in Ordnung und nettes Personal, aber relativ oft am Tisch mit leeren Tellern vorbeigelaufen ABER: Getränkebestellung wurde falsch gebracht, Beilage zum Hauptgang war falsch, Vorspeise meiner Frau wurde mit dem Hauptgang gebracht, gab keinen Bauernsalat wie im Menü, sondern „nur“ einen kleinen Beilagensalat und zum Schluss, beim Dessert, wo das meiste mit Vanilleeis deklariert war, hatten sie kein Vanilleeis. Sind Kleinigkeiten, aber auch die sollten nicht unbedingt sein.

Vorspeisen etwas klein und teuer.Metaxa Fehlanzeige beim Gyros mit Metaxasoße sowie auch die versprochenen Pilze.Gerichte auf der Karte die es nicht gab.Hatt man erstmal gegessen wird man von der Bedienung vergessen.Habe schon bei Leckereien Griechen gegessen

Das Gasthaus ist nett gemacht und wirkt einladend. Allerdings war die Qualität des Essens nicht gut. Die auf der Karte als Kartoffelchips deklarierte Ware war für mich nicht als Bratkartoffeln zu erkennen und schmeckte auch nicht so. Vom Service hätte ich mir mehr gewünscht , erstrecht da wir lange Zeit alleine im Gasthaus waren.

Service ist toll das Essen schmeckt sehr sehr gut.! Der Inhaber sehr gastfreundlich 🥗😄
