Attractive atmosphere, not too crowded seats and well furnished. Very friendly, attentive and fast service. Good menu, food good too. Plus a delicious beer. Football was playing casually but unobtrusively on a screen. It was a nice evening.

Absolutely wonderful 'deftig' Bavarian cooking served by friendly and swift waiters. Strongly recommend for a good value, beautifully cooked choice of traditional meals.

The food was great and the beer was plenty. They didn't had a free table except on a perfectly fine tablem. Also the waiter didn't understood that we wanted to tip.

After our excursion/visit to the Hellabrunn Zoo, around 60 people were there to eat in the garden. The pre-ordered food was served very quickly after the drinks were distributed👍👍. Good, large portion, nice and very good service. Top

Back in Munich after 29 years and of course I had to go straight to the local restaurant from back then. The food was very tasty and the portions were more than generous. I can't say anything about the rooms.

The food tasted good, although the salmon was oversalted! The waitress informed us that in Germany the cutlery is placed differently when you have finished eating. And here in Germany racism is punishable. We have been living in Germany for 25 years I've never experienced anything like that.

Were here as hotel guests for two nights.... The beer garden is really great and the service guys are really top. Especially “Ore”, our waiter, was always on the ball and super nice. We have to say that the hotel is really bad... The rooms are extremely old... the TV doesn't work... the bathroom is a horror... the shelf above the sink is broken... the window is moldy. The mini sink is right in front of the toilet and then in the roof niche. The mini shower with a curtain that sticks to your body is really disgusting. No toilet brush. Breakfast only starts at 9 a.m. because no one is there beforehand. Unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy breakfast because we always had to go earlier. So really not recommended.

Actually everything you need. Simple, clean, central and nice staff. Hotel is fine. The restaurant is very popular and well attended due to the quality and taste of the food. The only small catch is the service staff. One or two waiters are quick and attentive, while another prefers to chatter more and wait for them. (There's a black sheep everywhere.) For breakfast we had the top service again and it was a beautiful Sunday morning, because breakfast was also really tasty and good.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. For €110 per night excluding breakfast — every youth hostel is more comfortable. It is unspeakably loud, the helipad at the hospital next door is in deafening operation all day until 10 p.m. and the cheap windows of the hotel rattle. The furnishings in the rooms are a disgrace, everything shakes, is broken and everything, really everything, is of the worst possible and cheapest quality. It smells like smoke everywhere and there is no decent light or curtains. If I could give 0 stars, I would give 0 stars. It's really just crazy...

Delicious Bavarian food… Gladly and again at any time

The room was adequately equipped, unfortunately in the direction of the church, which fortunately also keeps you quiet. Unfortunately, the bathroom has seen better days, but you have everything you need for a short stay. Check-in is in the associated dining room, which is not immediately apparent. Parking spaces are on site. The next subway stop and shopping center can be reached in just a few minutes.

Food was great. In the end I wanted a light one, but since it took 25 minutes for someone to come by the table, I preferred to ask for the bill. It's a shame, it spoiled the overall impression.

The room was much larger and cleaner than we expected. Free parking in the city is also very nice. The staff were friendly. In particular, the serving staff at the restaurant are very friendly and all service is excellent. The food is plentiful and delicious for a fair price! All three were cooked gently and the cheese went well with them. Leftover food is also carefully packaged. There is a nice garden and children's playground. We will visit again.

Very good Bavarian cuisine with a good standard selection, additional weekly menu and changing lunch dishes. There are also a handful of vegetarian dishes. Prices are okay. When the weather is good, the beer garden is highly recommended, which even has a small playground for families.

We live there and we come to the old landlord regularly. He has a beautiful beer garden. A brass band always plays on Mondays. The food is very tasty and the beer tastes wonderful. The service is always top notch. We can only recommend everyone to go here.

The prices have risen quite a bit again, where else can I actually get one or two dishes in the surrounding area that are much cheaper and of similar quality. It has to be said that depending on how good the cook is, the food tastes different, sometimes more good, sometimes less (BUT THAT SHOWS FRESHNESS). But otherwise a nice atmosphere and always helpful service staff. (It depends on who you have as a waiter). I can't say anything about the rooms as I only come over now and then to eat.

Went there for dinner with a group. Good and attentive service, every table received their food at the same time. Solid pub cuisine with very large portions. If you haven't stood in the excavation pit all day, you can choose from many dishes in small portions.

We went to the Biergarten, very pleasant, the children loved the playground, their spaetzle is really great! Just like the cordon bleu... It was so worth it! We will be back! :)

This place is always busy, serving big portions of good food. Nice to eat at the tables outside in the summer when any kids can enjoy the playground.

It actually looked like a nice restaurant and didn't seem particularly busy. We had already gotten a first impression of the service when the menus didn't come and we had to get them ourselves. The drinks arrived over half an hour after ordering. Another hour passed before the food we ordered at the same time arrived. Since we had something else to do that evening, we didn't even dare to order another drink. The prices are guaranteed to be fair and the food is generous. You just need to bring a lot of time and patience here. In any case, my expectations of a successful dinner could not be satisfied here.

First something positive... ...the property offers a parking lot with 14 spaces that can be used free of charge. There is a beer garden with a playground. The restaurant is rustic and cozy and the food was completely fine. The staff is nice and makes an effort. BUT... ...the focus is clearly on the bar, the rooms are neglected. There is no separate reception, instead you try to clarify everything over the counter between the freshly tapped beers. I was traveling on business and had to pay for the room in advance on site. Instead of an invoice, they could only issue me an entertainment receipt... ...fortunately my company is very unproblematic in this regard. To check out you simply leave the key in the room door. I've never slept so badly in a hotel, the mattress was completely worn out. Room is uncomfortable and not particularly clean. Privacy screen in the bathroom is made from scraps of foil.

Well suited for a short stay. Clean, functionally furnished rooms. Bed was comfortable and we slept well despite the church being opposite. Breakfast is possible from 9 a.m. There are 4 variants on the menu. The Thalkirchner breakfast was very rich and can also be shared. You can quickly get to the city center by subway, but the surrounding area on the Isar and the canal is also very beautiful and invites you to explore.

This place is across the street from a church that rings the giant bell every 15- 30 min. Yes 165 times. If you can tune it out great. We stayed in this hotel very nice guys and service is excellent and the food delicious. The rooms were way up on 3rd floor which was very small. Weird like an attic made into a room. Shower was 3 feet off the floor couldn’t take a bath and it was so small the curtain stuck to my tush ( you Know). I bump my head and nose crashing into a slanted wall. Terrible room. After 10 pm no bells. 6 am bells. Didn’t know this. They said get use to it. Great deal paid the price. Food & service was excellent.

Yesterday, Monday, May 20th, 2024, we were in the beer garden “Alter Wirt” at around 8 p.m. There were many empty tables and every table had a reservation sign on it. I thought to myself that there were signs on the tables with no reason for a reservation, so the two of us sat down at a table, then the waiter came and said, "It's nice that you're here, but the table is reserved" I told him that there were reservation signs on all the tables. Then he walked away. After a few minutes he came back and told us, "There's a table over there on the other side without a reservation sign. Then I asked how he knew that we hadn't reserved the table we were already sitting at. After all, he didn't ask for the name. He was quiet at first, and after a short thought he said, "The table is reserved for 5 people. Well, almost all tables in the beer garden can accommodate 5 or 6 people. So it is true that two people are not welcome. I felt discriminated against because there were only two of us and we couldn't bring in the sales that five people bring in. I don't think that's nice or hospitable. Especially the way he said it. If he had politely said, "May I ask you to another table" then that would have been nicer. But that made us feel like we weren't good enough. We then went to the Italian restaurant next door. And ate there. We didn't stay long either, and when we came back to get my bike there were still many empty tables. At least the Italian was happy and was also very nice. Even if there were only two of us. It's all about the money.

Nice beer garden, good food, nice staff who can also handle larger groups, the best location for the baptism festivities with such a beautiful pilgrimage church opposite. I was a guest at the ceremony mentioned and felt very comfortable there.

After a visit to Hellabrunn Zoo, we came across the Alte Wirt inn while looking for a rest house. The beer garden offers plenty of space, the menu is clear and the prices are reasonable. The food was good, unfortunately the service couldn't quite keep up.

After a visit to the zoo we wanted to eat something and found this restaurant here. We were satisfied with the schnitzel and the delicious fried potatoes. The beer garden is large, but not completely open due to the lack of staff. the waiter was friendly and quick. The toilets are accessible at ground level.

We made reservations the night before for breakfast the following day. Super Service. Very courteous and nice service in the restaurant. Great way to deal with children. And very tasty food.

Such a great location in the facility, but very disappointed with the service. It was impossible to drink Schorle wine. Waste of money. We sat down with the child in the shade, so we were told that the tables were too far away and they did not serve them. They waited a long time. The schnitzel was ordinary, nothing special. The only thing that pleased me was the playground nearby.

I was in the beer garden with friends & a small child - good location, easy to find, super friendly and attentive waiters, large selection of drinks, wide range of food, prices are completely okay. We had cheese spaetzle, burgers, Greek salad and the youngest guest was quickly brought his spaetzle. Everything was eaten up - great 🤤 Afterwards there was Kaiserschmarrn - highly recommended - crispy and delicious fried in butter 🤩 One more request for all guests (because they heard at the neighboring table) - giving 10% of the bill as a tip would be very decent 👍😉 We'll pay definitely again 🫶🏼

I like that everything so simple yes straight to the point was 😍 the floors were too cold though.a rug woul have bee nice. All in all it was a pleasant stay ❤️ I'd recommend it.

Exzellente bayerische Küche, freundlich unaufdringlicher Service, familienfreundliche zwanglose Atmosphäre in einem stimmigen gemütlichen Ambiente und ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Gestern hier mit ‘nem Freund abendgegessen. Insgesamt gemütlich, wenn auch den an sich guten Mex-Bürger/pommes etwas wärmer hätten sein können. Etwas anderes und meines Erachtens ein „no go“: Das nicht-vollständige, GRÜNDLICHE, streuen auf der Eingangstreppe. Etliche Stellen auf den Stufen zeigen Glatteis. Es ist aber nicht allen Gästen gegeben solche Stellen gut auszumachen. Als ich ankam, rund 19 Uhr, saß einen verdutzten, sichtlich angeschlagenen (in doppeltem Sinne) älteren Herr, mit heftig blutigendem Platzwunde am Stirn auf genau dieser Treppe. Dort war er ausgerutscht. Glücklicherweise noch ansprechbar, wartete er auf dem Ambulanz. Die Treppen-Glätte wurde von mir innen gemeldet. Als ich später das Lokal verlies, waren dieselbe Glattstellen immer noch unbestreut. Auch auf dem Parkplatz im hinteren Bereich, bin ichselbst auch einige Male kräftig ausgerutscht. Da frage ich mir, was dem Alten Wirt seinen Kunden eigentlich wert sind. Schade, eigentlich ein nettes Lokal und nette Gäste und Personal. Lediglich ein bisschen mehr Sorgfalt wäre das i-Züpfelchen… Und vielleicht gibt es dann auch wieder 5 Sterne. Mit freundlichen Grüßen und bleib Gsund.

Wir waren nach dem Zoo Besuch spontan im alten Wirt zum Essen und wir waren sehr zufrieden mit allem.Service und Essen war super, freundlich, und lecker. 👍

Früher waren wir ab und an gerne hier essen, leider hat die Qualität des Essens dramatisch nachgelassen, dafür sind die Preise gestiegen. Portionen sind viel zu groß, kleiner und hochwertiger wäre in dem Fall besser. Service war immer nett. Schöne Wirtschaft an sich. Kaiserschmarrn immer noch empfehlenswert und für ein Bier oder zwei kann man vorbei gehen.

Ich bin seit langem Gast im Alten Wirt und war mit der Qualität der einfachen Bayerischen Küche zufrieden aber seit einem Jahr lässt der Service und das Preis/Leistungs Verhältnis ab was dem Besuch keine Freude bereitet. Dafür ist kürzlich der Service des Kellnerpersonals besser geworden was Besserung verspricht. Eine abschließende drei von fünf lässt die Hoffnung nicht verschwinden.

Kellner freundlich und aufmerksam, Essen kam gleichzeitig und schnell und war reichlich und sehr lecker. Es war ein toller Besuch hier, ich mit Kati und Schmetteringen im Bauch.🫶

Stayed in Obersendling but walked to Thalkirchen and ate here. Awesome!! Food was outstanding. Recommend the roast pork with crackling and the currywurst. But we ate there twice in 2 weeks and everything was great!!

Deftige bayerische Kost. Genauso bayerisch das Ambiente. Großzügige Verteilung der Tische. Mittags war viel los. Die Qualität muß sich rumgesprochen haben.
