The food is excellently prepared and offers good value for money.

Warm atmosphere but service seems to show favoritism due to high attendance and value for money to be reviewed.

It is a good restaurant, close to Hbf, serving traditional bavarian food and beer. Been here a couple of times, like the place alot, good serving, good atmosphere.

We had to underline several times and prove that we had booked with the 50% The Fork discount, the impression is that a less astute customer would have been charged full price (if it's not convenient just simply do without promoting the offer) There is no point in highlighting the fact that Italians don't leave a tip, what's the point? The food however was good

My friend and I came to have a beer before the train left. The place is great, but the waiter looked like he was tired of his job or at least tired of tourists. I felt like I should have apologized for coming there.

I may not be the best judge of German food but I was stoked on this place being my first night. The waitress didn’t speak the best english but she brought a great Ayinger that paired perfectly with the schnitzel. And that potato and cucumber was just awesome. Great place for the family!

We took advantage of a slightly longer stay at the Munich main station on Saturday, October 19th, 2024, to have lunch at the Rechthaler Hof. The roast pork was ordered for €18.90 and two “Viennese style” schnitzels made from pork loin were ordered for €15.90. The schnitzel at this price does not come with a side dish, which must be ordered separately, e.g. fries for €5.50. There was also a tasty Ayinger wheat beer. The food was served quickly and the service was quick. Solid affair overall.

We were completely satisfied! As North Germans in foreign lands, we stopped at the Rechthaler Hof on the recommendation of a friend. Once for dinner, which we thought was great, and then again for Sunday brunch. The brunch buffet was excellent and left nothing to be desired. The food was very fresh, was constantly refilled, very tasty and of great quality. In addition, a very fair price-performance ratio. I would like to particularly emphasize the service again - very attentive and friendly and always with a smile and a funny saying on the lips. We felt very comfortable and can warmly recommend the restaurant. Thank you for the lovely time with you :)

Just as you imagine Quaint, rustic and nice

We were registered with a larger group, around 30 people, our food had been pre-ordered. The side salad was very small, some with little to no salad dressing. The vegetarian dish had bacon in the sauerkraut, which was announced in the restaurant shortly before serving, but no alternative to sauerkraut was offered as a side dish with the three types of fried dumplings. The dumplings were very dry, tasteless and overall the food was served very carelessly. The side dishes (fries) were also very small (quantity) and mushy and some were put out separately 10 minutes before the meat. If we hadn't slowed down the conditions we would have been wound up really quickly. It was disappointing.

Typical Bavarian atmosphere and cuisine, adequate service and prices.

This place is the ultimate place for delicious German food. The service is always quick and friendly, the food is absolutely amazing and the atmosphere is full of fun.

We had an incredible experience here - the food, service and ambience were all outstanding. We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed our visit.

Food took a long time, even though roast pork and duck were prepared. Duck was just lukewarm and dry, red cabbage cold - for 24 (!!) euros. Roast was OK. The service made an effort to compensate for the poor food with friendliness. Far too expensive for €52 in total, I won't go there anymore.

Spontaneously got a table for 3 in the lunch shop with a short wait. Great rustic inn. The food was delicious and the portions were very good. For 3 meals plus a drink around €75

We found the Wirtshaus Rechthaler Hof via a discount and rating app “The...". We were all pleasantly surprised. Nice, rustic atmosphere. We had the Münchner Schnitzel with a mustard-horseradish breading with potato-cucumber salad, the Brauer Cordon blue with juniper ham, Emmental cheese, Obatzda and Wirtshaus fries, the lumberjack steak from the grill with bacon, fried egg, mushrooms, herb butter and Wirtshaus fries, and for dessert there was a caramelized Kaiserschmarrn with almonds and apple sauce. Not to forget the Ayinger 🍺 next visit to Munich. Thank you and cheers 🍻.

Everything great. Nice service & delicious food. Were served quickly and always asked if everything was OK. You should make a reservation in the evening as it gradually fills up and people were already queuing outside, but for 2 people it should work without a reservation. The inn is very nicely decorated.

A good, centrally located restaurant to taste typical Bavarian cuisine. When we are in Munich, we usually go there for lunch or sometimes dinner. The food is quite good and at reasonable prices.

This was our first German restaurant of our stay and was an excellent choice! The weinerschnitzel was excellent. The atmosphere is exactly what we were looking for in the traditional German style. I’d highly recommend!

The worst restaurant I have ever been to in my 33 years of living. Now I really don't complain but this was a joke. Firstly, a suitcase was left behind by the customer next to me. The waitress just shrugged their shoulders and said 'meh' they'll come back. The woman who left the suitcase was muttering something under her breath.Not acceptable not taking it seriously in today's climate It was only after a table moved next to me and caused an uproar (rightly so) that they decided to move it. Food was 'okay'~ nothing special. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!!! Should be 0.47 not 4.7!! Secondly, didn't take card ..no sign saying so and nearest ATM charged ridiculous commission. To add insult to injury, she short changed me by 20 euros and I had to chase her back for it. Waitress was friendly to a point then became very passive aggressive.

The food was excellent, unfortunately they did not inform us, when we arrived, that the credit card posnet did not work, so the only form of payment was in cash and we had nothing at that time, so I had to walk back, under the rain, to the hotel and return with money....

I can't really recommend this restaurant, the Kartoffelklösse was really not good. The rest was good.

Turned up without a reservation yesterday (Monday 5:30pm) and got a seat, staff were lovely, food was good and the beer was great!

There were two of us in the restaurant, we were quickly shown to our table and immediately got something to drink👍. The food came quickly, about 15-20 minutes and was very, very tasty. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I would eat here again at any time!

We ate with a group of six people on 08/28/2034, the restaurant is not bad at all, but the service is terrible and unfriendly, especially a lady who was a bit grumpy, she didn't understand or didn't want to understand and she gave us the beer like he felt like it. The food is not bad, but not anything to write home about. Munich has better places than this, the beer is very good

Last night we spontaneously decided to go on a date here. The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly! We tried a few different dishes and every single one was exceptional.

Here, it’s clear, it’s clear, it’s clear..... It was my first time eating out while traveling with a friend, and he took my order. I said it with words and pointed it with my finger. They gave us a menu on a completely different side and we said it was a different menu. “It’s nice and suitable even though it’s raining, right?” and passed on..? I went to the bathroom in a bad mood, but when I entered the stall, I stepped on a big cockroach without realizing it. Please try another restaurant.

I don't know how to drink alcohol, so I don't know what beer tastes like. If you have accommodations near Munich Central Station, I highly recommend this restaurant. During my 4 nights in Munich, I went there every day and ate at least one meal. Other places may be boring for Korean tastes, but I think this restaurant is perfect for Korean tastes. The staff are also friendly and pleasant. I didn't make a reservation, and if you visit between 7 and 8 p.m., you'll be able to get in without waiting. Food (including beer) costs about 40 to 50 euros.

Consistently positive, there is hardly any negative criticism at all, except if, as in this case, you cannot tolerate the white onions, you are not informed that there are also onions in the spaetzle. Price performance is right. The mistake was made up for with a free salad.

The food here is absolutely incredible, the friendliest service and the location can't be beat. I would highly recommend it without a doubt! An absolute must.

Very disappointed with the place, the food! No tarte flambée although it is on the menu, I ordered a cordon bleu…. My god… something dry without any accompaniment! Fortunately my companion was there and had accompaniments with his dish, he was able to give me his potato/polenta dumpling! Place without soul and nothing typical in real life (techno music...) - the highlight is the bottle of water charged at 7.50 eur!

We arrived 2 hours before the store closed, I consider that to be enough time. Upon entering we are told that more than half of the dishes are not available, mentioning each one very quickly. That already changed our plans quite a bit because we were determined to try those unavailable dishes. Not 2 minutes later they asked us again to take the order, to which we asked for more time. Again after 2 minutes they came by again with a more aggressive attitude asking us to start ordering, to which we decided to leave. I thought it was a very bad service. They did not even take into account, even though we explained, that we had to reconsider the dishes. In addition, they wanted us to memorize exactly each of the dishes that were not available. It was very uncomfortable

I was here for lunch today and chose the roast pork with dark beer sauce - unfortunately a disappointment. The meat was too fatty for me, which significantly reduced the enjoyment. The dark beer sauce didn't convince me either, as it had an unpleasant aftertaste of ready-made sauce. The coleslaw with pieces of bacon also tasted okay. A positive point is the portion size and the ambience 👍🏽 Furthermore, the service was not optimal. It seemed as if there were too few service staff on duty, which was reflected in a hectic and stressed atmosphere. Unfortunately, this meant that I couldn't enjoy the meal in peace. All in all, unfortunately not a satisfactory visit.

Very friendly young gentleman at the service who did his best with a full house. The cheese spaetzle was very tasty, as was the suckling pig. Schnitzel "Viennese style", although we ordered veal (probably misunderstood each other), was ok - as was the tarte flambée. Overall good!

So far the best Wiener Schnitzel in Munich. It was worth waiting in line for 20 minutes at the entrance. The service team gave everything, really admirable. The orders came very quickly.

Paul from here has been so so nice to us. We had to buy a little bit of food from the supermarket before it closes for the next day, and he waited for us to come back and heated the food for us. He is so understanding and kind and responsible. He recommended us three plates for four people to share, whereas pther places we’ve eaten has rejected or had to unwillingly give us plates to share as it’s uncommon in Europe. Overall a fantastic experience here, good food, nice folks. Would come here again if we stayed longer.

I had booked for lunch on 15.08, thanks to the reservation we didn't have to wait even though the place was full. A characteristic German restaurant, with typical German cuisine, well made, generous portions. For those who want to taste German cuisine (in its essential version) I recommend stopping here. Pretty fast service, a lively and cheerful waitress looked after us, very German too😊. Prices average for the area.

Food ok, beers were good. But service not good. Waited at the door for over 20 minutes as the restaurant has a sign of asking customer to wait at door for seat, but nobody come, we need to walk in to look for their staff to be able to get a table. Staff didn’t seem welcome us. The worse part was when we paid for the bill. Staff ask for tips. But since we waited for so long, we refuse to tips. That staff weren’t fancy with that and show some attitude. We went to other restaurants in munich and never experience to force us to tips (we did tips for some good one). There are plenty of restaurant around, not recommended on this.

I went there before evening when it looked like it would be empty, but I was asked to leave after about an hour, probably because it gets crowded with regulars in the evening. The young man in the hall was a little salty, but the young woman was very friendly. Beer is the best. The portion of rice is quite large.

A nice restaurant, food was quite good especially if you like meat. Also close to the metro so a very good location. Good price-quality ratio. Service was reasonable, assistance was good and quick. Downside is the furniture cushions would be a good addition.

Located directly at the main train station. Hence many travelers who want to satisfy their hunger and thirst. Service is friendly and quick. Location is traditionally Bavarian, in good condition and clean. The Leberkäs with fried egg and potato salad was very good, fair price, decent portion.

Came here late midday during the week and were amazed at how crowded it still is. We were taken far into the restaurant and were able to order our tasty Ayinger Helles. The tavern plate was eaten, which tasted good, only the dumpling was a little too dry. The Geschnetzelte Zurich style also tasted good, but the croquettes had been kept warm for too long. But all in all a pub to stop by.

The food was great. The waiter was very rude at the end when he didn't type the amount into the card machine when paying by card but pointed out that the tip wasn't included. As always, we give tips in cash. Same this time. But the direct comment was inappropriate and annoyed us after an otherwise lovely evening.

We booked online, when we arrived, they told us that they had called us (we didn't have any call) and then that they had sent us an email (we didn't have any either). They told us they were sorry but they wouldn't give us dinner.
