My Schnitzel in München

First of all, I was very surprised about the place. Although it is in a not very busy place in a side street, it is very successful and the portions are very satisfying and it costs around 20 euros per person. A must try, reservation is a must.

Great local find and AMAZING schnitzel. Opt for the fries they are great and remember go hungry. The portions are huge!

This was my first schnitzel in Munich and all of Germany as well. I really did enjoy the schnitzel. The ambiance was very nice as well as the food had very big portions. It was a pre-pricey to me, but same time. I think it was well worth it. we also had really good beer too, and I would recommend it again and next time I come here, I will definitely be trying to suit again.

After all this years I still love to drop by. What an awesome please with the perfect atmosphere to meet friends and have a laugh to some well drafted beer.

Reservations are required, otherwise you may have to sit outside in cold weather. Schnitzel was nice but the portion was too big for one person. If you are not very hungry, you can share it with two people.

I go to Steinheil 16 often and I like it a lot. Like a Schnitzel with potatoes that is very delicious. The portion is large and I am very full. The service is very good. The atmosphere of the restaurant is friendly. The prices are very good for the large portions. I really like the place and I recommend it to everyone who is in Munich.

It's been 8 years since I've been back to Munich since my Erasmus. The place has become a little sophisticated, but the schnitzel is still just as good, big and well priced. A pleasure to have remembered old moments with friends and visitors. For me the best schnitzel in the city!

The snitzel is highly recommended (very juicy and large), and comes with salad and chips. We ate somewhat cramped since the place is not spacious and was full. As for the service, correct. It is not in the center but you can walk back perfectly and you end up arriving at the Odeon Platz.

I stopped by Steinheil 16 for lunch and the schnitzel was massive–plate overflowing massive! It had this perfectly crisp coating and buttery flavor that didn't overpower the tender pork. I also loved the cozy wooden interior, it made me feel riught at home.

We were there today for my birthday. The food is really recommended! Delicious! We all ate the schnitzel with fries and loved it. The friendliness and competence of the employees should also be emphasized. The nice gentleman who served us today was really great! We would be happy to come back and recommend it to everyone.

We come here often and it's always good. However, without a reservation you have bad cards during normal meal times. The schnitzel is large and tastes good.

We had an early dinner with a great schnitzel, fries and side salad. The portion was large, so it's best to be hungry. The Augustiner Hell had it the perfect temperature, glass fogged up and beautifully marbled foam after drinking. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, there are only a few such cozy restaurants left in Munich. We'd love to come back!

Lovely and welcoming. Staff very helpful and polite. Had the largest Schnitzel I've ever seen, sliced potato too. Meat was so tender, and potatoes lovely and crisp. Would recommend even if just to witness the size of the portions!

Mahh man they have the snithzel the size of a big baloon. You can get a good vienna snitzel with potatos and salad for a really good price. Split the food or if xoz want they give you the option to take away the leftovers. Tasty and the service is great. Good music, nice atmosphere.

There will be three of us there! I had goulash and it was great. The other food was also good. The only thing was the timing, all the food came separately and by the time the third one came, the first meal was already cold 🤪 But the young man in service picked us up really well! Small but nice and the only criticism you could make is that the tables are too small for the schnitzel portions if several people order one.

That was a great evening. We were 5 hungry and thirsty men on a company outing. It was right to reserve in advance. Everyone had ordered a different dish, and all the dishes came quickly and at the same time. Class! Everyone was happy and no one had anything to complain about.

I was having difficulty making reservations (my phone was the issue). So, I went directly to the restaurant and within an hour KYRA was able to fit me in; even though they were completely full for the day with reservations. KYRA was a super awesome host and she went out of her way to take care of me as a tourist from Canada. She was super helpful in getting me settled and ended up giving me an awesome table. As I knew exactly what I wanted to order the process was quick and easy as they both spoke English (KYRA/CHRISTIAN) as my German is a bit rough around the edges. The beer was served quickly and was very cold as well as the glass; which I like very much. The food came out shortly thereafter and was piping hot and delicious. I super highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone that visits Munich. This is probably one of the best restaurants in the city..... I hope they will expand the restaurant or open another location. Thankyou to both KYRA & CHRISTIAN & THE OWNERS..... Well Done.....

Can't confirm the good reviews. Schnitzel didn't taste good, I don't want to write anything about the non-existent service. I am also very sure that the schnitzel is not prepared in a pan with clarified butter...! Unfortunately for me it was a failure...

Very finely fried fries. What I didn't like: Our table was sticky. The menus too. On the one hand the fries were very tasty but on the other hand they were very salty as I was always thirsty afterwards. Price is cheap for the huge portion.

Portions and pricing were good. The waiters were helpful and attentive enough. The pork schnitzel I ordered was very oily and tasted bad. I never imagined that I would feel the smell of burnt oil so much that I had to leave half of it on the plate.

We were there for the first time today and really enjoyed it. :) Soup, schnitzel, salad and fries. Everything was really delicious. 1 point deducted each time because one schnitzel was a little burnt on the edge, the service didn't ask if everything was ok or if we needed anything else and because it was very cramped. We think the price is good and the service was very friendly. :-) We'll definitely be back!

The schnitzel feels tasteless. I don't understand how the place is rated so high. We sat down near the kitchen and saw that it was not very clean there. I found this place online and we gave it a try. Once we got there, we realized that we are not the only ones as it was almost completly full. After eating the food, we understood why. We ordered Schnitzel which comes with a salad too! The portion was big and the meal was very tasty! The thing I didn't like is that I was told while paying that the service isn't included. While I understand that leaving a tip is expected and when I am satisfied with it, I don't mind leaving it. Since the food was good I decided to leave a tip, but apparently the waitress wasn't very happy with the amount. Her face changed very quickly and was looking at me like I have just killed someone. That wasn't very nice and it ruined the good feeling from the restaurant and that's also the reason why I decided to take one star away.

The place was full Ina Saturday evening when we went there. Reservation is highly recommended. The food was delicious. The staff was very proactive and fast. They did a great job and stayed friendly in the meantime. Definitely recommended.

There were four of us here. Much earlier than we had reserved. The waitress was super attentive, promised us the next free seat and then made it possible for us. At first they said we only had 1.5 hours to eat, then she came to us again to tell us that we could stay indefinitely. Order was taken quickly and drinks came quickly. After a short while, the huge schnitzels arrived...2 incredibly large, perfectly pared, beautifully thin giant schnitzels per portion. The fried potatoes are highly recommended. We are really good eaters, but only one person could manage this portion. The waitresses kept asking whether everything was to our satisfaction. Not intrusive. All in all, great location.

Amazing schnitzel! The food was great. This is a busy Munich favorite so do not expect white glove service. The table limit is 2 hours and you may have to share a table. The food makes it all worth it though.

This place has a 4.7 star rating? Apparently purchased! Unfriendly waiters. We sat there for 30 minutes and were greeted by all 5!!!! Waiters ignored. Nobody was interested in taking our order. Waiters who stand behind the counter and literally stuff food into their mouths and play with their cell phones are in the wrong line of work anyway! Prices are completely overpriced - neither the ambience nor anything else fits!

Big is not always beautiful. Absolutely the best schnitzel in Munich. Food smells and tastes like old fat. Clearly! Lettuce had brown ends. You don't even understand what's going on. But I don't understand why there's so much going on. Service overwhelmed even though it wasn't full. You wait to place, order and pay because it's uncoordinated. The schnitzel is superb!! Especially accompanied by fried pota6. We went for the turkey schnitzel (this is one of the very few places in Munich that serves them). Unfortunately we waited five minutes near the door , standing near a waiter who completely ignored us until his colleague came by to ask him if he's serving us or what? But other than that, it was a great place to eat . Always make a reservation cuz the place is buzzing!!

Fantastic food and great service. Portions are great and will definitely fill you up. The only negative note is that smoking is allowed at the outside tables. This is frankly very old-fashioned nowadays, and I hope that this restaurant changes policy. People should not be smoking whilst eating, it’s an annoying and damaging practice.

A nice little place. I would definitely recommend making a reservation, as there are not a lot of tables. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We were there on a Sunday as a family with our two children (3, 5). It was pretty crowded. But we still got a small table. Was sufficient for our purposes. 2 large schnitzels were enough for us because the children don't eat much anyway. Food: very tasty, especially the fried potatoes. Service: very good. Even though there was so much going on, we were always taken care of promptly. Always asked if everything was okay. Atmosphere: cozy restaurant, no fancy micki. We felt comfortable despite the small table. Location: I've always liked the neighborhood. But massive parking problems. This time we found something quickly. A friend of mine once lived nearby, and I often drove home because there were no parking spaces. Conclusion: We will definitely come back.

(Happened twice, mention it on the same evening!)…. - Criticism is responded to in a very arrogant and arrogant manner... This place is always amazing. Everytime i want a good schnitzel i know where to go and its here! The potatoes are amazing, and the käse spätzel! OMG, the best one there is. Service is always very nice and whenever the restaurant is full they always find a place for you.

I don't understand those who rate low for this restaurant, it's just unbelievably super! I wanted to give a star off for the environment, cuz there's almost always a huge crowd of people gathering in the restaurant, and sometimes it can be hard to find a place to sit. But it completely worths the wait, therefore I've given all 5 stars. When you come not alone, it is recommended to reserve a desk beforehand.

Just OK. We were here in the evening with a smaller group. We sat very cramped, it was uncomfortable. The service only came to us sporadically. The beer was tasty and cold. The starter salad was quite tasteless and bland. The schnitzels were just “okay”, just too much for my liking. The potato salad was great. All in all, an “okay” visit. If you value large portions and being full, this is the right place for you. If you're looking for good service and higher quality standards, you're better off going somewhere else.

Ridiculously big portions and friendly staff. I have never had a plate of food so big that was intended for one person! My partner and I both had pork schnitzel and it was as big as my torso. As recommended by another reviewer, I swapped the fried potatoes for potato salad - highly recommended. Bring an appetite!

Hearty portions of classic Schnitzels and other mains.

The food is very tasty, the portions are large. Mainly German cuisine. We spent 35 euros for two and ate very well.

The schnitzels are huge and taste really good. We were there on a Sunday at 11 and the kitchen opened at half past 12. So we didn't wait long and enjoyed very good service. Absolute recommendation from us if you want to eat really hot schnitzel ;)
