My Schnitzel in München

Great food and service, we didn't have a reservation but they found a table for the two of us. Correct price and large portions. If there is an opportunity, I will visit them again.

For me, this is the best restaurant in Munich in terms of value for money. The food was delicious and the staff were always polite and attentive. The prices are unbeatable for Munich considering the quality; I'll definitely be back! 🍺

Every time I'm in Munich I just have to come here. It is a perfect place to have a delicious schnitzel with friends. The staff is very nice and welcoming. I highly recommend this place, the portions are very generous. Be aware you should be very hungry to eat here ;) there is always the option to take away :D

A nice little restaurant near Dachau, with generally good German cuisine, and apparently there are weekdays when it's a bit quieter, but overall, the visit was an experience.

The Steinheil is a small restaurant with a bar atmosphere. Reservations are definitely recommended on weekends to ensure a relaxed seating experience. The food was very good, but the staff and the ambiance were what truly impressed us.

The service was terrible! It just seems that this isn’t the case with all the waiters. I live in the neighborhood and I’ve eaten here many times. Every time, the waiters were extremely polite. This time, however, I was greeted by a semi-polite waitress, black hair, around 170 cm tall, with a British accent. I wanted to order takeout. Here are the things that bothered me: - There are two menus: a night menu and a standard menu. The night menu has selected dishes at slightly reduced prices. I almost always order from there. This time, the waitress practically snatched that menu from my hand and gave me only the standard menu to choose from, where the prices are of course higher. - When I asked for the food to be packed into my environmentally friendly containers, she told me that it wasn’t possible. But she could pack it into extra boxes—without telling me that those extra boxes are charged. The bill arrives, and she tried to charge me for 3 boxes totaling 15 euros!!! If this is the owner’s decision, unfortunately that’s not how you earn customer trust—really, really bad move. If this is the waitress’s doing, which is most likely the case since all the other waiters have always been extremely polite to me, then maybe her boss should read this comment. The food is excellent, the portions are huge, and the other waiters are phenomenal!

Every time I’m in Munich, I always make a stop at Steinheil 16 for schnitzel. Their food is superb and the staff is always hustling. This is the best place in town, in my opinion, for schnitzel, but I do recommend making a reservation, if possible.

It’s a decent spot, nothing fancy, but it fills you up and is pleasant enough.

Wow, wow, wow!!!! The goulash was amazing. The service was fantastic and attentive, the best I've ever experienced. These guys and girls truly love being hosts, despite the restaurant being packed and their hard work. I'd love to come back. But reservations are essential.

I had the turkey schnitzel. It was huge and delicious. Despite the crowds, the service was quick. The salad comes first. I had the regular fries, and they were fine. I recommend making a reservation in advance. Waiting outside is difficult, especially in the cold. Since I was the only person, I was able to find a seat.

The restaurant serves delicious fried pork cutlets. There are a few staff members, but they are very friendly.

I asked my colleagues where to find the best schnitzel in Munich, and they sent me here, and I have to say, they were right! The schnitzel is huge, thin, tender, and the breading is crispy. It was busy, but the service was still incredibly friendly. It's noisy, of course, which was great for the atmosphere yesterday, but you have to be able to handle it. Reservations are a must!

A good, affordable place. The crowd is mostly young. The food—everyone orders the schnitzels first. They're very large. The side dishes, traditionally, include fried potatoes. The prices are reasonable.

Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. We waited over 30 minutes and only received our drinks. Despite repeated inquiries, our orders weren't taken. The service seemed overwhelmed and disorganized. After this wait, we ultimately left without food, which was a shame, as the ambiance was actually quite promising.

Even though it was past 1 p.m., it was still bustling. It seemed like most people were ordering schnitzel. (It was 1.5 times the size of a typical restaurant.) I ordered goulash and the lunch special ribs, which were excellent. A salad was usually served with the meal, and if not, soup was included with the menu, which was nice.

Pork schnitzel and Spätzle are a must have in this place. Food is tasty and service is good. Highly recommended!

On a trip and learned a lot of places in Munich are closed on Mondays but Steinheil isn’t! Clearly labeled vegetarian and vegan options, generous portions, excellent beer, and great service (everybody spoke English and was very friendly, appreciated our attempts at German). I got the curry (vegan) and my friends ordered the pork schnitzel. Highly recommend!

For lunch, we visited Steinheil 16 which had excellent Schnitzel (15.9 euro) and Ratatouille (13.9 euro). A very hearty meal, washed down with Hefeweizen (5 euros). The total came up to 38 euros including of tips. On hindsight, we found that it was a really really great meal. The ratatouille had an amazing combination of vegetables, cooked to perfection with the right proportion of seasoning. The Schnitzel was also tasty. We were here with #Bigfoot and #Littlefeet and some friends. Steinheil 16 was recommended to us because we were looking for a restaurant where we could eat a good schnitzel. And yes, the schnitzels are large, delicious, and reasonably priced. We can only hope that it stays that way. So, the food and drinks—delicious Augustiner on tap—were great because they were nothing special and prepared as well and as low-fat as possible. It tasted really good. Praise from everyone to the kitchen! Because done! And the service? Excellent, because it was cheerful and attentive, recognizing that children sometimes need more time and asking guests if they would like anything else. Nowadays, it's often the case that guests have to ask for something to happen. Here, it's different. And the location? Good. Cozy, and there's also a terrace outside. And it wasn't as loud as everyone always says. It was fine the way it was. It was a pleasant and enjoyable evening for everyone. We can highly recommend Steinheil!

The online reservation worked perfectly, and we received a friendly welcome. I was surprised by the prices. I would have expected higher prices in Munich. Four main courses and four cocktails for €102 were perfectly acceptable. The portions were plentiful and the value for money was excellent. Unfortunately, the restaurant is very noisy, which doesn't encourage you to linger. We found somewhere else for dessert and a nightcap. I would eat here again, but not on a Friday night.

The hotel is overpriced and not worth the money. Check-in was relatively quick, but not particularly friendly. At breakfast, a lady was staring at her phone and then, in some cases, listening to videos loudly. Expired products at breakfast, such as mustard that had been expired for more than a month. The room was not bright, but dirty. I had it "cleaned," and it became even more dirty. Cobwebs, dirt, and dust. Cigarette smoke rises from the courtyard; it's loud until after 10 a.m., and it starts before 7 a.m. Not a relaxing experience. I can't recommend the hotel, except for its location near the train station.

We made a reservation a few hours in advance, but we still managed to sit at one of the tables outside. It was quite crowded, and many people showed up without reservations and were turned away. I recommend making a reservation earlier. As for the food, I'd say don't go wrong with the Schnitzel (we had the turkey version - I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10). The portion was quite filling and overall delicious. I think the only disappointment was the fries, which were a bit disappointing (though they were still nice and crispy). In addition to the set menu, there's also a daily menu. We ordered the schnitzel from the set menu and were pleased, but I can't say the same about the daily beef stew. It wasn't quite to our taste (I'd give it a 6 out of 10). The inclusion of a salad with the dishes is a nice bonus. -It's obvious we took the photos after we started eating. The staff was polite and friendly, thank you.

Reservation is highly recommended — walk-in chances are quite low. We booked for 5:30 pm on a Sunday but arrived early at 4:00 pm and waited about 30 minutes for a walk-in table. The restaurant was completely packed both inside and outside, which already told us how popular this place is. We ordered the pork schnitzel with potato salad and curried sausage. The schnitzel was absolutely worth the wait — thin, crispy, and delicious. But the portion is huge — definitely bigger than what most Asians could comfortably finish in one sitting. The curry sausage was superb too, a little on the salty side, but it pairs perfectly with beer. Interestingly, we seemed to be the only Asian guests in the restaurant, which is a good sign that this is a local favorite spot rather than a tourist trap. If you’re in Munich and want a truly local schnitzel experience, Steinheil 16 is a must-try. Just make sure to book ahead and come hungry. (It costs us 36.4 euro this meal)

Cute little schnitzel restaurant in the heart of Munich. We went there after spending the day at Oktoberfest and ordered schnitzels with the sides of salad and potatoes/fries. All the food was quite tasty. We did not have a reservation so we were seated on a long table next to another group so it might be a good idea to reserve ahead of time if you would like a little more privacy. The service was a little slow but that was probably because the restaurant was so busy.

We visited this place today. The service was good, but the food was terrible. The main dish tasted like a shoe sole, very greasy and dry. We could not finish it because it was really bad. The salad came 10 minutes before the main dish. Now all of us have stomach pain and heartburn. I really recommend choosing another place.

We stopped on the way home to Switzerland and wanted a good schnitzel. What can I say, the schnitzel was delicious! Highly recommended! We arrived at 11:00, but the kitchen doesn't open until 11:30.

I decided to try this place after reading the reviews. It's hard to find, and you need to book a table in advance. The restaurant is small but cozy. The portions are really big. However, I didn't like the schnitzel: although it was huge, it had almost no flavor, like it was reheated. The fries were excellent, and the salad was filling. One downside is the terrible noise inside, but that's more the customers' fault than the restaurant's.

What a ridiculous event by trained incompetents... And incorrigible to boot! In short, the crème de la crème of complete idiots. Hahaha!
