My Schnitzel in München

We made a reservation a few hours in advance, but we still managed to sit at one of the tables outside. It was quite crowded, and many people showed up without reservations and were turned away. I recommend making a reservation earlier. As for the food, I'd say don't go wrong with the Schnitzel (we had the turkey version - I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10). The portion was quite filling and overall delicious. I think the only disappointment was the fries, which were a bit disappointing (though they were still nice and crispy). In addition to the set menu, there's also a daily menu. We ordered the schnitzel from the set menu and were pleased, but I can't say the same about the daily beef stew. It wasn't quite to our taste (I'd give it a 6 out of 10). The inclusion of a salad with the dishes is a nice bonus. -It's obvious we took the photos after we started eating. The staff was polite and friendly, thank you.

The hotel is overpriced and not worth the money. Check-in was relatively quick, but not particularly friendly. At breakfast, a lady was staring at her phone and then, in some cases, listening to videos loudly. Expired products at breakfast, such as mustard that had been expired for more than a month. The room was not bright, but dirty. I had it "cleaned," and it became even more dirty. Cobwebs, dirt, and dust. Cigarette smoke rises from the courtyard; it's loud until after 10 a.m., and it starts before 7 a.m. Not a relaxing experience. I can't recommend the hotel, except for its location near the train station.

The online reservation worked perfectly, and we received a friendly welcome. I was surprised by the prices. I would have expected higher prices in Munich. Four main courses and four cocktails for €102 were perfectly acceptable. The portions were plentiful and the value for money was excellent. Unfortunately, the restaurant is very noisy, which doesn't encourage you to linger. We found somewhere else for dessert and a nightcap. I would eat here again, but not on a Friday night.

We were here with #Bigfoot and #Littlefeet and some friends. Steinheil 16 was recommended to us because we were looking for a restaurant where we could eat a good schnitzel. And yes, the schnitzels are large, delicious, and reasonably priced. We can only hope that it stays that way. So, the food and drinks—delicious Augustiner on tap—were great because they were nothing special and prepared as well and as low-fat as possible. It tasted really good. Praise from everyone to the kitchen! Because done! And the service? Excellent, because it was cheerful and attentive, recognizing that children sometimes need more time and asking guests if they would like anything else. Nowadays, it's often the case that guests have to ask for something to happen. Here, it's different. And the location? Good. Cozy, and there's also a terrace outside. And it wasn't as loud as everyone always says. It was fine the way it was. It was a pleasant and enjoyable evening for everyone. We can highly recommend Steinheil!

Steinheil 16 – A Must-Visit for Schnitzel Lovers in Munich Pork schnitzel has been one of the dishes I’ve been looking forward to on this trip — and Steinheil 16 didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere is cozy and lively, perfect for gathering with a small group of friends (no more than 4 people), since finding a table can be tough. Reservation is highly recommended — walk-in chances are quite low. We booked for 5:30 pm on a Sunday but arrived early at 4:00 pm and waited about 30 minutes for a walk-in table. The restaurant was completely packed both inside and outside, which already told us how popular this place is. We ordered the pork schnitzel with potato salad and curried sausage. The schnitzel was absolutely worth the wait — thin, crispy, and delicious. But the portion is huge — definitely bigger than what most Asians could comfortably finish in one sitting. The curry sausage was superb too, a little on the salty side, but it pairs perfectly with beer. Interestingly, we seemed to be the only Asian guests in the restaurant, which is a good sign that this is a local favorite spot rather than a tourist trap. If you’re in Munich and want a truly local schnitzel experience, Steinheil 16 is a must-try. Just make sure to book ahead and come hungry. (It costs us 36.4 euro this meal)

Cute little schnitzel restaurant in the heart of Munich. We went there after spending the day at Oktoberfest and ordered schnitzels with the sides of salad and potatoes/fries. All the food was quite tasty. We did not have a reservation so we were seated on a long table next to another group so it might be a good idea to reserve ahead of time if you would like a little more privacy. The service was a little slow but that was probably because the restaurant was so busy.

We visited this place today. The service was good, but the food was terrible. The main dish tasted like a shoe sole, very greasy and dry. We could not finish it because it was really bad. The salad came 10 minutes before the main dish. Now all of us have stomach pain and heartburn. I really recommend choosing another place.

We stopped on the way home to Switzerland and wanted a good schnitzel. What can I say, the schnitzel was delicious! Highly recommended! We arrived at 11:00, but the kitchen doesn't open until 11:30.

I decided to try this place after reading the reviews. It's hard to find, and you need to book a table in advance. The restaurant is small but cozy. The portions are really big. However, I didn't like the schnitzel: although it was huge, it had almost no flavor, like it was reheated. The fries were excellent, and the salad was filling. One downside is the terrible noise inside, but that's more the customers' fault than the restaurant's.

What a ridiculous event by trained incompetents... And incorrigible to boot! In short, the crème de la crème of complete idiots. Hahaha!

Very good, nice young setting, reservations STRONGLY recommended, but I advise you to have lunch there after 1:30 p.m. Too crowded, 50-minute wait for the main course, then 40 minutes for dessert... It might disrupt your afternoon schedule. In all, it took us 2 hours. Victim of its own success.

However, it's often very busy, so it's worth planning for a bit of a wait. Nevertheless, it's a great place for anyone who appreciates hearty, delicious food.

The Schnitzel was very tasty; if you come hungry, I recommend ordering the pork one as it comes in a large portion, and pairing it with the potatoes shown in the picture. The service was very pleasant, which made the meal even more enjoyable. I’m not giving five stars because, although it was good, it wasn’t an experience that left me speechless.

Great, authentic inn. A wide selection of food and drinks. Everything is freshly prepared and delicious. A delicious and very extensive schnitzel with side dishes. The price/performance ratio is excellent... You can always get a seat here and are treated fairly. No rip-offs with overpriced drinks, and the food prices are super fair and reasonable.

Nice little restaurant with a great atmosphere and friendly service. But - please, dear owners: I was disappointed with your schnitzel! Yes, it was big - but unfortunately, that was all! I wasn't impressed with the taste at all. It was bland and greasy! It practically tasted like nothing! Please, please tell your cook (I hope he's a trained chef): 1. He should bread the schnitzel FRESHLY and not a few hours before! 2. He should toss the schnitzel occasionally while frying so that the hot oil gets EVERYTHING! (I think the schnitzel wasn't cooked in a pan, but on a large commercial frying pan - better use a deep fryer then!) 3. He should season the schnitzel with salt!!! In my opinion, these are basics - they were obviously not followed here - what a shame! I went to this restaurant because of the positive reviews – if you're coming for the schnitzel, you'd be better off trying your luck elsewhere. Unfortunately, the schnitzel didn't impress me. I think the pictures speak for themselves. If the chef prepares the schnitzel according to the basic principles mentioned above, it might be worth a visit – but unfortunately, not! What a shame!

We went there with our three kids because our son really wanted a Jägerschnitzel. Luckily, it was on the daily menu. The food was incredibly delicious, and the waiters, two handsome men, were super friendly and very attentive. I ordered three daily specials for the kids, and they were all full. Great restaurant! We'd love to come back.

Very friendly, attentive, hard-working, and fast staff. The GITE is very well-coordinated and works well together. Reservations are recommended, even during the week. We visited spontaneously one evening during the week, and it was very busy, so we had to wait a bit for a table. However, the staff made every effort to quickly seat the waiting guests. The food was also very delicious (we had a schnitzel and a soup). Both were delicious and highly recommended. We will definitely come back when we're in the area again.

I've been going here for lunch and dinner several times over the past few months, and I'm impressed every time. Great service, even when the place is full. Friendly and dedicated staff, without exception, and the food is exceptionally good value for money and of exceptional quality. My only criticism is that this restaurant only exists once. Some restaurateurs could learn a thing or two from this. I've rarely experienced such a consistently good restaurant. Keep it up!

If you are looking for the best schnitzel in Munich, this is the place! Huge, delicious and properly cooked – truly the most delicious we have ever tasted. One incident also showed the quality of the service: my husband accidentally dropped his plate, and despite all this, they immediately brought us a new one, without any extra charge. The staff was extremely polite and friendly, which we appreciated very much. An experience that left us with the best impressions. We highly recommend it!

A super giant schnitzel that also tasted delicious. Excellent service. We went there after a trip to Munich without a reservation. We had to wait 2.5 minutes (we were out walking), but we still got a table and were able to enjoy a leisurely meal and a drink.

It's definitely a place where you can eat cheaply, but the quality isn't great. The chicken strips with rice were quite edible, but the ribs were too burnt. Overall, the service was nice, but the chef needs improvement.

This place is solidly average — 3 stars. The service is fine, the food is fine, place is fine. Schnitzel is ok, a bit dry and bland, definitely need sauce. Potatoes are fine too. Okay prices. If you’re hungry, the portions are massive and I took half of it away in the end.

Very tasty, huge portions. We were passing through on our way back from Italy, eager to at least take a drive through Munich. Everything was top-notch, the prices reasonable, and the food fresh. I'm missing one thing on the menu: boiled or mashed potatoes instead of fries and baked potatoes. P.S. For visitors, please remember that Munich, like other German cities, is in the Green Zone and requires a green sticker on the window to enter. It's a physical sticker. You can order it online in advance or buy it at any TÜV vehicle inspection station; we did just that before arriving. This restaurant is located in this zone; it would be a shame if entering it resulted in a €100 fine.

The food is delicious, with generous portions – we couldn’t finish everything. The Steinheil schnitzel with roasted potatoes was tasty; the pork was a little bit tough, but that’s to be expected with pork. No reservation was necessary.

We booked for two at 7:25 PM. We were seated immediately and ordered two pork wiener schnitzels, one with French fries and one with fried potato slices. After 20 minutes, a young man came by and asked if we'd ordered, then disappeared. After another 20 minutes, we asked why tables that had arrived much later than us had been served, and we realized they'd missed our order. We quickly received a salad and two turkey schnitzels, both with French fries, which clearly hadn't been prepared for us since we'd ordered differently. To avoid further fuss, we ate those since we were celebrating a birthday. Very poor service, the schnitzels were undercooked on the inside and burned on the outside, and they were very salty, like the French fries. The beer was very good, as was the salad, which was served first, except in our case. A hangout for young university students, where socializing is more important than the quality of mediocre food.

We came 13 people, and we waited afew minutes until they found u place to sit. Wo took some dishes, every dish was very good. Very pleasant service and smiling was so good. Thank all staff

Magnificent veal and pork schnitzels in a very cozy atmosphere with excellent service. We happened to be served by a Spanish waiter (from Valencia), who made us feel right at home. A truly recommended experience. Congratulations!

Great Food, But Service Needs work while the food was fantastic, the service was unfortunately lacking. When we learned the dish from the summer menu wasn't available, it took a while before they came for our replacement order. We asked for more napkins and salt during our meal, it never came. They didn’t even bother to ask if we needed more drinks, so we couldn’t order. To make matters worse, when we were ready to leave, we had to get up and go to the counter to pay because no one came back with the check. It’s clear the kitchen knows what it’s doing, but the service needs a lot of improvement to match the food quality. Maybe they were understaffed, but we were there on Friday . Would definitely come back for the food, but hopefully, the service improves next time.
