Were there on Saturday evening, the food was delicious and plentiful. The service was quick, friendly and attentive. The prices are reasonable and reasonable. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere. It had been a nice evening. Gladly again.

Friday evening, the restaurant was already full with people. Nevertheless, we were greeted very friendly and got a place for two people. The order was taken very quickly. The atmosphere was chic and very cozy. The meal, including sauerbraten and goose leg, was on point, plentiful and also very tasty. Thank you very much for this unforgettable evening.

Food is good, value for money too but it was just too loud for me. This is probably less due to this restaurant and more due to our declining food culture. It's a shame actually.

Highly recommended and super tasty

Only been there for a small lunch snack. There was homemade Kaiserschmarrn. This was really tasty and therefore receives a clear recommendation. In general, the lunch offer is really a good value for money. There was pork schnitzel on offer, with fries and a drink for just under €13. This is absolutely perfect for Dresden city center. (You could even hear the chef making the schnitzel in the background.) Gladly again, also for other dishes, if it suits you again. Service was quick and polite, so top!

I had schnitzel and sausage and it was delicious. The food came out a little slowly, but the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was nice. The schnitzel had cheese, and the potato salad had butter, so it was soft and sweet and delicious.

Considering the name of the restaurant, one should assume that the goose leg was properly procured....it definitely tasted delicious. 🤔🦊 Rustic, cozy atmosphere, nice and quick service, prices at a high level.....Dresden. 😉

I can only recommend this restaurant. The food was served quickly. I tried the turkey liver and have to say it was the best liver I have ever eaten. It was very tender and the delicious mashed potatoes and red cabbage were incredible. The service is just like the food, the employees are very friendly. I also found it very nice that it wasn't as bright as in other restaurants. If you want to have a romantic evening, this is the right place for you. We'll definitely be back.

I had the zucchini schnitzel. That was filling. So the portion was decent. Unfortunately the vegetable rice was a bit too weak. That's why there is a star deduction. The service was very nice and everything went quickly. So we didn't have to wait long for the food.

Visited last week. Gänsedieb is a charming restaurant with a cozy ambiance and delicious German cuisine. The dishes are well-prepared and flavorful, featuring traditional recipes with a modern twist. The food was very tasty (sauerbraten and vegetarian zucchini schnitzel). Dessert was excellent (Dresdener Eierschecke). Portion sufficient and tasted very good. Service was fine and friendly. Paid around €60 for two large beers.

The food was quite good, but the service was suuuper slow. We ordered strudel to be brought after our food, and when we were done the waiter said it was never ordered. 20 minutes later, we're still waiting and had to go already. We asked for the check, and the waiter suggested we can pay and leave, but have to pay for strudel as well. Ridiculously slow and bad service, and all this during Monday afternoon, with only 4 tables taken in the whole restaurant.

Bratwurst with sauerkraut the size of a child's portion. Apple strudel was cold.

Spontaneous visit 6:00 p.m. Despite many reservations, I still got a table straight away. The “duck” meal tasted delicious. I can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience.

We enjoyed our dinner at this establishment. Food wasn't cheap, but the quality was good. Drinks were cold and refreshing. Would recommend this place for some authentic flavors of Saxony!

Schnitzel day for €13.13 including 1 drink. I really wasn't expecting a miracle for this price, but what came next was really a disappointment. More breading than schnitzel, dry fries and canned ketchup. Then please have a decent schnitzel for €20.00

The food was very tasty. We had the Dresdner Sauerbraten, which had a little too much vinegar for my taste, but was still very tasty, and the Gänsediebpfanne. There was also a spring onion salad that we didn't know before. Highly recommended. For dessert there was the Kaiserschmarrn, which was one of the best I've ever eaten. With drinks, coffee, beer/cocktails and food, we were quite surprised that we had only paid just over €90. Regarding the service, you have to say that all requests were taken into account and you were treated very nicely. There is plenty of seating outside and inside. We were very satisfied with everything and will stop by again next time we are in Dresden.

We have eaten in many restaurants and have always complained about the service. Here at the Gänsedieb: the menu was barely set, drinks were taken straight away and brought out quickly. The food was fantastic as always. The portion size is very well calculated, you get full and don't have to send half the plate back!

Had a fantastic meal there today, beer well chilled, food very good, freshly cooked and served hot. We had soup, zander fillet, and rougut fin, crispy duck, gladly again ***** Service was very friendly and courteous, we got cushions for the outside chairs without another word. Not so crowded - a real insider tip, with such an atmosphere, sun, bells from the nearby church Top and keep it up, we will become regular customers

The goose soup and goose breast entree here were top notch. Would definitely recommend trying those especially if you enjoy a gamey flavor. Very tender and juicy with tons of leeks and crispy potatoes. Solid meal overall with good service and decent drink selection.

On recommendation we went to Gänsedieb for lunch. From the outside you can't tell that it's a great restaurant and that it serves great food, but it's worth taking a look inside. We had Ragoutfin, Hackepeter and small starters and were thrilled, thank you Great service and great location

Can't go wrong with pork knuckle! This place has goose specialty it seemed so we tried the soup and it was very flavorful. Of course you should try the Eierschecke when in Dresden.. It was so fluffy and light!

A place where you can easily forget time with great food and good drinks. The real hit was the goose soup and I haven't had such a good knuckle in a long time. Dessert was also a delight.

We have on May 9th. Had dinner there for 4 people in 2024. Everything tastes perfect. The male waiter was very attentive and very accommodating. We can highly recommend it. It was so good that we went there again the next day and were again very satisfied. We passed on the praise to everyone right there.

The pork knuckle is tasty and servings are generous. The staff are friendly and helpful. We ate lunch outside near the courtyard on a warm sunny day and it was delightful.

Ambience great. The curds were very small.. what didn't work was the spray cream from the can.. sorry.. then it would be better without cream.. The price on the board differed from the bill and was not corrected... "Card payment from xx Euro"..whether that might also be part of the nostalgic ambience? Unfortunately I cannot recommend this.

Food was a disaster Steak wasn't medium but more like elephant sole then you wait 10 minutes for the sauce you ordered and the food gets cold not recommended the store is better off going somewhere else once and never again

Service is friendly and helpful (thanks for the tip about the fried potatoes), has everything in view, including the outdoor areas.
