Ganesha Zwickau in Zwickau

Uns fiel auf, dass auf unserer Restaurantrechnung „Restaurant Delhi“ statt „Ganesha Zwickau“ stand. Wir fragten uns deshalb, ob es möglicherweise eine Änderung im Betrieb oder der Geschäftsführung gegeben hatte, da einige andere Gäste dies ebenfalls erwähnt hatten. Wir können dies jedoch nicht bestätigen; unsere Beobachtung basiert lediglich auf der Rechnung. Wir waren hauptsächlich wegen des Essens und weniger wegen des Services hier. Die Gerichte waren lecker, geschmacklich ähnelten sie jedoch dem indischen Essen, das wir bereits in vielen anderen indischen Restaurants in Deutschland gegessen haben. Der Geschmack war nicht besonders originell, aber insgesamt waren wir zufrieden. Enttäuscht waren wir, dass wir nicht zwischen Reis und Roti als Beilage wählen konnten. In vielen indischen Restaurants, die wir besucht haben, war es möglich, Brot (Roti) anstelle von Reis zu wählen oder zu ersetzen. Wir persönlich bevorzugen Roti und hätten diese Option hier gerne gehabt. Die Toilette im Innenbereich war sauber, was wir positiv bewerteten. Der Außenbereich hätte jedoch besser gepflegt sein können. Uns fielen heruntergefallene Äpfel auf, die offenbar schon länger am Boden lagen, sowie sichtbare Spinnweben im Sitzbereich. Mir ist bewusst, dass ein Außenbereich nicht völlig frei von Laub, Insekten oder Spinnweben sein kann, aber wir hatten so etwas noch nie in diesem Ausmaß direkt an einem Restauranttisch im Freien erlebt. Das Essen war insgesamt in Ordnung und die saubere Toilette ein Pluspunkt, doch die begrenzte Auswahl an Beilagen und der Zustand des Außenbereichs trübten unser Erlebnis etwas.

Das Restaurant ist unter dem Namen "Dehli" wiedereröffnet. Essen und Service sind weiterhin TOP. Wir gehen sehr gern ins Dehli. Auch die Preise sind sehr moderat.

Nun unter neuem Namen DEHLI, aber gewohnt gute Qualität. Lecker Essen, günstige Preise, freundliche Bedienung.

Das Essen war lecker und der Koch freundlich und zuvorkommend. Auch die Bedienung war freundlich. Ich kann dieses Restaurant nur empfehlen. Vielen Dank.

18:30 Uhr über Lieferando bestellt. 21:00 Uhr war das Essen laut App noch immer mit dem Fahrrad 15km von mir entfernt unterwegs. Auf Nachfrage am Telefon kam die motivierende Aussage: „Kommt vielleicht in 10 Minuten.“ Vielleicht. Mittlerweile habe ich emotional abgeschlossen und hoffe einfach, dass der Fahrer glücklich ist, wo auch immer er gerade mit meinem Essen unterwegs ist. Es kam bereits schon einmal vor, da haben wir darüber hinweggesehen, da wir mit dem Essen eigentlich immer sehr zufrieden waren. Das ist nun Geschichte.

Heute bestellt und leider sehr enttäuscht. Kaum Hähnchen, dafür viel Gemüse und sehr wenig Reis– völlig unausgewogen. Beim letzten Mal hat außerdem ein Teil der Bestellung gefehlt (Cola) und wurde nie nachgeliefert. Für den Preis absolut inakzeptabel. Keine Empfehlung.

Ich bin immer wieder sehr zufrieden mit dem Essen.

Nach Betteiberwechsel nicht mehr zu empfehlen. Schnuddeluges Ambiente. Unfreundliche Bedienung. Wir wollten noch Getränke bestellen, stattdessen brachte man uns die "Rechnung". Was hieß, ausschließlich Barzahlung und kein Kassenbeleg. Sehr unseriös.

Service war nicht höflich und hat eher genervt gewirkt. Karte mussten wir uns selber holen, weil diese uns nicht gegeben wurde. Bis wir bestellen durften, mussten wir eine halbe stunde warten und zwei mal nachfragen. Nach der Vorspeise wurde unser Geschirr bis unsere Hauptspeise kam nicht weggeräumt. Es gab keine Entschuldigung oder sonst was. Mehrere Gäste sind während des warten aufgrund des Service gegangen.

Wir waren heute wieder in diesem Restaurant, nachdem ich bereits zwei- bis dreimal hier essen war und es früher eigentlich positiv in Erinnerung hatte. Leider war der Besuch dieses Mal sehr enttäuschend. Schon zu Beginn mussten wir mehrfach darauf aufmerksam machen, dass wir überhaupt bestellen möchten. Eine Speisekarte wurde uns nicht gebracht – wir mussten sie uns selbst holen. Auch danach hat es sehr lange gedauert, bis unser Essen kam. Das Essen selbst war zwar wirklich lecker und geschmacklich gut, allerdings konnte das den katastrophalen Service leider nicht ausgleichen. Das Geschirr von der Vorspeise wurde zudem nicht abgeräumt, obwohl ausreichend Zeit dafür gewesen wäre. Besonders auffällig war, dass es nicht nur uns so ging – auch an den vier umliegenden Tischen gab es ähnliche Probleme mit Wartezeiten und fehlender Aufmerksamkeit des Personals. Es scheint also kein Einzelfall gewesen zu sein. Sehr schade, da ich das Restaurant eigentlich anders in Erinnerung hatte. Beim Essen stimmt die Qualität, aber am Service sollte dringend gearbeitet werden.

Waren vor ca. Drei Jahren schon mal da, da war alles prima...Service toll, Essen prima...heute wollten wir ubs auch mal wieder was tolles gönnen, aber der Service war heute nicht gut...wir haben uns nach 30 minuten selbst eine Speisekarte organisiert...auf Nachfrage konnte man bestellen und nach einer Stunde hatten wir tatsächlich unsere Getränke suf dem Tisch...das Essen kam dann tatsächlich recht zügig, hat auch wirklich super gut geschmeckt...als es ans bezahlen ging war es etwas holprig, Rechnung musste zwei mal erfragt werden und mit einem Mitarbeiter konnte man sich nur mit Händen und Füßen verständigen, er konnte nicht wirklich deutsch, es gab keine Nachfrage ob es geschmeckt hatte und auch kein Dankeschön oder schönen Abend...ob wir wieder kommen? Ich wage es zu bezweifeln...sehr schade

Mein Freund und ich waren am Freitag in diesem Restaurant und waren überrascht, wie angenehm ruhig es war. Es gab leise Musik, das Essen war köstlich und die Atmosphäre sehr gemütlich. Außerdem ist es sehr preiswert. Ich kann es nur empfehlen und werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Ein wirklich gemütliches Lokal!

Super gutes Essen und große Auswahl auch an vegetarischen Speisen. Deko und Gestaltung der Tische könnte etwas besser bzw. hochwertiger sein. Aber gutes Essen lässt das schnell vergessen.

Ich habe um 18:41Uhr über Lieferando bestellt . Es wurde angezeigt das 20:36 Uhr geliefert wurde . Wir haben nie was bekommen und wenn man dort anruft geht niemand ran ! Absoluter Betrug !

Heute am 28.03 war ich abends Essen. Wie es aussieht, ist jedes Mal neues Personal. Dieses(männlich) kein guten Abend, darf es noch etwas sein, hat es Ihnen geschmeckt schönen Abend noch,bis zum nächsten Mal..alles nichts,einfach nur das Essen hingestellt,die Sachen wieder mitgenommen, fertig. Wie ich rausgefunden habe war das der Chef. Heute am 12.Mai war ich mal wieder Essen, und 20 Minuten gewartet bis ich endlich mal bezahlen konnte und kein auf Wiedersehen Punkt es gibt drei Personen (Chef ein kleiner kräftiger Mann und noch eine Person die nicht freundlich sind, zwei Personen sind echt zuvorkommend und freundlich und da könnte sich der Chef (Besitzer eine Scheibe abschneiden Heute am 12 September war ich mal wieder abends Essen. heute hat mich der Chef selbst bedient, seine Angestellten(fünf Mann) wie es aussieht alle entlassen ,oder selbst gekündigt. und somit saß ich eine halbe Stunde einfach rum, obwohl ich noch etwas bestellen wollte. der Chef war aber nicht mehr da, nur noch ein Bediener (der nur Englisch kann). Und passt auf bei diesen drei Soßen die am Anfang gereicht werden, sie werden nicht gekühlt (schaut man in die Küche )sind sie fast auf dem Boden in einem Regal und mit Sicherheit von dem Gästen die vorher schon es bekommen haben Zu Matthias Drewes wenn man mittags etwas bestellt von der Mittagskarte dann wird das traditionell das ist auch bei anderen indischen Restaurants auf einem Tablett serviert was wie Knast Essen aussieht das ist einfach so

Hier passt einfach alles zusammen. Das Essen schmeckt sehr, sehr lecker, das Ambiente passt zur Location und ein aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service. Wer mal richtig gut indisch essen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Wir kommen definitiv wieder, und das nicht nur einmal :)

We were probably just having a bad day. We've always had food delivered from here. It was delicious. Recently, we even went there. The atmosphere is dingy. The waiter (who was smoking when we arrived) had his thumb hanging in the sauce while serving. The kitchen was constantly beeping. Hmm, what a pity!

And I really enjoyed it. Friendly and quick service, and the food was delicious. And the price was very good, too! Thank you.

Anytime for someone who likes aromatic cuisine.

We had made a reservation for six people and, after a very unfriendly welcome, were still not served after 10 minutes, even though there weren't many customers in the restaurant. We left the restaurant because of the unfriendliness (from a blonde woman) and the lack of service. Up until then, we had actually always been very happy and satisfied.

Very nice restaurant. The food and service are excellent. Unfortunately, we (a group of six) had a reservation on the first day of the restaurant's closure, Monday. However, the staff were very accommodating and opened the kitchen for us. We are very grateful for that. I will definitely come back and highly recommend the restaurant.

Unfortunately, we had a reservation on a day off. Nevertheless, we were served, and the chef even called in so we could eat. The food was excellent, as was the service. We'd be happy to come back.

The food I ordered tasted like home, so delicious and affordable. I would come back again and again, and I recommend that if you want Pakistani dishes, order here.

With 16 free tables, I wasn't allowed to sit at my preferred spot. Even pointing out that only one table was occupied didn't stop them from trying to assign me a table. Not recommended. Unfriendly and unwelcoming.

Last Thursday, we ordered food for our girls' group from Ganesha in Zwickau and had it delivered. We handled the ordering and delivery through Liefero, which was hassle-free and, due to the value of the goods, there were no delivery charges. First of all, I must emphasize that the food tasted absolutely delicious. The gentleman who delivered was also very friendly. BUT: The portion size for adults and the average price of €12.50 is truly the icing on the cake. These are truly child-sized portions and definitely not worth €12.50 compared to the cost of the goods. There were about 5 tablespoons of rice, 5 pieces of meat, and sauce in the containers. That's really sobering. Even one child in the group was sad that there was so little. We were still really hungry. I can't even imagine how small a child's portion is for €9.50. Considering the Asian or Thai dishes you can get for less money in nearby restaurants, it's completely out of proportion. It's a shame, because otherwise we would have happily ordered again. But this is really too much for such a small portion.

The food was actually always really good – but our last Lieferando order was a disaster. The delivery was delayed, and after repeated inquiries, we were first fobbed off (the delivery person couldn't find the delivery address – the local hospital, a two-minute drive from the restaurant?!) and then simply hung up on the phone several times. The delivery person arrived hours later without an apology, but in the meantime, we had already ordered from another delivery service and were finally able to eat. Mistakes can happen – but you have to handle them professionally!

I've always really enjoyed eating there or ordering from there. Unfortunately the portions are getting smaller and more expensive and there's hardly any meat/poultry in the dishes. Today's delivery was disgusting, I can't describe it any other way. Ordered for 4 p.m. for 6 p.m. When the food still wasn't there at 6:45 p.m., I called. The employee apologized, saying the driver hadn't been able to find the hospital! It wasn't the first time we'd ordered from there, but we were assured it would arrive within 10 minutes. When it still wasn't there 30 minutes later, I tried to call but was hung up several times. When someone finally answered, they argued, made excuses and finally asked if we could speak English. The discussion had previously been in German. After that, they simply hung up. Attempts to call back were initially ignored, then again the excuse was given that they couldn't find the hospital and we had gone to the wrong place. We ended up ordering from somewhere else (Telepizza, the savior in times of need), and at 8:15 p.m. we were asked to pay for the food. The delivery status was simply changed to 'delivered at 6:20 p.m.' The food was returned. What an outrage.

You can't walk down Bahnhofstrasse without being drawn in by the aroma. The food is absolutely delicious; I'd even pay more for it. The preparation is very loving and quick. I also tried the different levels of spice several times. My favorite: 169 Chili Paneer.

Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed today. We ordered through Lieferando. They were very punctual and the food was hot. It's been a while since our last order, but we've always been very satisfied. The quality of the food has declined significantly. You used to be able to see the vegetables, etc., in the sauces, and they were actually included; now, unfortunately, there's nothing left. Today it was a simple, homogenous sauce with chicken, nothing more. It still tasted good, but not as good as before. Also, the portions have gotten smaller, and the price is the same...

Feels like there is little difference in the food

The food is ok. I missed cocktails without alcohol. There were lots of spritzers for that. There were also many lassis, for example coconut lassi. My partner has had problems with the preservatives in his food.

As a native Indian myself, I ordered takeaway and asked to pack a good Indian dish with “Paneer”. To our surprise, the food was not authentic Indian at all, it was just warmed up sweet and sour sauce with old Indian "paneer" (cheese) from the package (the paneer was not freshly prepared, seemed to be from a can) and outrageously the portion did not consist of more than 50 grams of "paneer" and 2 large pieces of pepper. Overall, as a native Indian, I don't think that the food is presented and sold as authentically Indian, the quality Definitely doesn't even deserve one star.

The food tasted very good, but the portions could have been a little larger, at least for the dishes we ordered. We would have gladly paid more for that. The restaurant was very busy and the service was extremely busy. In 90 minutes we were only allowed one drink per person and we left earlier than we actually wanted. We'll try again on a quieter day because the food was really good.

It was very foggy in the restaurant due to various scented sticks etc. You have to like the strong scent. Food came very quickly. The starter hadn't even been eaten yet. In our opinion, the food wasn't anything special. Everything baked wasn't crispy. Ordered medium hot - totally mild. A child could have eaten it. Small portions. After the meal the service slowed down a lot. All tables had empty glasses.

Tried to order food here. It went terribly wrong. Ordered via Lieferando at 6:00 p.m. and still no food at 9:30 p.m. After what felt like 10 phone calls where each time a different excuse came up. Absolute impudence. In the Lieferando app the food was reported as delivered at 7:41 p.m. Rarely have I experienced so much incompetence. It's a shame, the food is supposed to be good...

A nice, small Indian restaurant in the middle of Zwickau. We spontaneously decided to take a look there and got a table without any problems. The restaurant is cozy and lovingly furnished and attention is paid to details. The service is friendly and attentive. The portions are medium, just right. We also had no reason to complain about the taste, everything met expectations. What surprised us positively, however, were the prices: these days you can rarely get dinner for two people with a starter and coffee at the end for less than 40 euros.

Food - Even if the menu shows cheaper prices at lunchtime than at other times, that's still no reason to serve the food including salad and dessert on a metal tray with 5 holes - you're not eating in jail after all! The food itself was ok, but slightly oversalted. Service - We were almost alone in the restaurant, but had to wait about 5 minutes before any service came. When we later complained about the excessive salt in the food, the waitress couldn't or didn't want to understand us and answered vaguely something about "fish", which we hadn't ordered. Ambiance - This is quite nice so far.

I have been to many Indian restaurants but this one is one of the worst i have been ever too. The behaviour from the staff is pathetic and they are not concerned about the service. I will not recommend this place at all. The staff will bluff you to buy expensive items and will you on final bill. They focus more on taking money out of your pockets instead of customer service. Always verify the bill if you go and ask for details on Menu items.

We can only report on this restaurant based on our experience with Lieferando (delivery) service, but the waiting times before you receive your food are immensely long. The delivery range described has never been adhered to. It takes about 2 hours to receive your food. Usually only 40 minutes are given. Lunch specials and stamp cards at Lieferando are no longer offered. Too bad...

Great restaurant with friendly staff and excellent food including amuse gueule as a small treat after the main course and digestive schnapps after the main course.

Small but cozy, there wasn't much going on on a Thursday evening. The food was very good but unfortunately very small portions, not made for the big hunger. Good service and priced at the bottom of the top third. It's definitely worth a visit.

Our group of 14 people visited Ganesha in Zwickau for dinner together, and we absolutely loved it! From the starters to the main courses, we tried our way across the menu, and every dish was impressive both in terms of taste and presentation. The variety and quality of the food exceeded our expectations. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly and attentive service, which rounded off our visit pleasantly. The price-performance ratio is also very good, so you really get a lot for your money here. Overall a great experience – we will definitely be back!

We quickly had a table, very nice and courteous service and on top of that there was a delicious meal (which was served very generously, so we didn't quite make it). All in all, it was a delicious experience!

Mal wieder zu Besuch hier in Zwickau, wurden wir in dieses leckere Restaurant geführt. Der Service ist herzlich und aufmerksam. Die Einrichtung ist natürlich indisch, aber nicht überladen. Nun zum wesentlichen- dem Essen. 5 Leute und 5 verschiedene Gerichte- jedes überzeugte mit sehr fein zubereiteten, guten Zutaten. Besonders begeistert hat das ROSA gebratene/gegarte Lamm mit sehr lecker abgeschmeckter Minzsauce. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder und freuen uns schon jetzt auf unseren nächsten Besuch.

I've been here a few times over a longer period of time. Unfortunately I have to say again and again that the service is not very good. Sometimes you're lucky and the service is nice, but in most cases that's not the case. It takes a long time to be served even though it's not full. However, the food is great. I was here in May 2024. the service was good. so I visited again in June 2026. 1. No complementary papad was served.(Which was served in May). But that was served at the next table. I immediately asked, “Where is my papad?” Then he served half papad without chutneys. 2. I was only served half a bowl of rice. 3. I want to pay by card. but he wants cash. I said I paid by card last month. then he accepts. Finally I said, "Somehow I feel like I haven't been treated well." He said: "If you don't feel well, please don't come back". I really don't know how to treat a customer??

Disappointing. Starting with the ants crawling through the restaurant and walls, which you could somehow ignore, our order was simply forgotten. The service was absolutely terrible. My Jheenga Massala (shrimp) smelled really fishy, ​​but it was something else that was edible. We ordered new bread and rice in between, the rice came, I'm still waiting for the bread today. When I let the shrimp go back after the first bite, it wasn't really understood what my problem was. At the end of the bill there was a lentil bread which was never ordered. At Ganesha Plauen the service and food is much better. With the starter sampler at the beginning you should probably have suitable dips. The freshness of the ingredients should be considered. Price/performance absolutely not justified.

Very tasty food! Curry was great and perfectly mild, just the way I wanted it. Really nice service and very nice people. Prices are also relatively good. Only recommended!

It is possible to pre-order food by phone and pick it up, but of course you can also enjoy it on site. Always worth a visit!

We spontaneously decided to eat here. Unfortunately our expectations were not met. The food was average for Indian restaurants. Unfortunately we had to wait a very long time, even though there were hardly any guests there. Keller stood at the bar, bored, or preferred to entertain himself in other ways. The open red wine contained a third less than stated in the menu and charged. Our complaint was not understood 😔 Very unfortunate. We cannot recommend this.

Very good restaurant with good food and is very cozy

Ordered via Lieferando. Waiting 2 hours for the order was very hard, to be honest it was really bad. Reaching someone who understands you by phone is also difficult. The delivery person was probably uncomfortable, the food was handed over without a word and turned back towards the car. Service was an absolute disaster. If you want to keep your blood pressure low or get in a bad mood when you wait forever for your food, you shouldn't order here. The food was tasty, but it could have been warmer.

I have been a guest many times and regularly order from Ganesha - the food has always been 1A! When ordering from home, the food always arrived 15 minutes in advance! Top! Chicken Korma and Mango Curry are my absolute favorites - feel free to try them yourself! Keep it up! (:

Bestes Indisches Restaurant wo ich bisher gegessen habe. Bedienung sehr freundlich, Ambiente geht nicht besser. Essen war richtig gut und auf Wunsch gab es sogar nochmal gratis Reis. Kann ich nur weiter empfehlen.

Sehr nette und auch aufmerksame Bedienung . Das Essen ist sehr authentisch und schmeckt sehr lecker (nicht zu scharf wirklich sehr angenehm), und man muss auch nicht lange warten!!! Sehr gut gegessen, ging sehr flott und Personal sehr freundlich

Das Essen war sehr lecker und schön angerichtet. Das Personal hingegen sehr unfreundlich. Wir waren die ersten im Restaurant und hatten für 4 Personen reserviert. Wir wurden einem Tisch für 4 Personen zugewiesen, wir wollten gerne einen anderen Tisch haben, da uns die Räucherstäbchen in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Tisch störten. Man sagte uns sehr pampig, dass wir keinen anderen Tisch bekommen würden. Als man uns unsere Unzufriedenheit anmerkte, gab man uns dann schließlich doch einen anderen Tisch. Den ganzen Abend über wurden wir sehr unfreundlich bedient.
