From the outside the restaurant looks rather inconspicuous, but inside it is bright, friendly and beautifully decorated. The service was really good – we found it particularly nice that water was regularly refilled. We were very impressed by the food: the pizza and pasta were really tasty and freshly prepared. The dessert was not only delicious, but also beautifully presented. The Hugo was homemade and tasted great. Overall, a great experience – we would love to come back!

If you haven't been here yet, you must reserve a table immediately!! You've missed out on an incredibly delicious meal if you haven't been here yet. Let the personable and friendly chef choose your menu. You can trust him completely. I've experienced a lot, but this menu blew me away. In addition, all the employees are incredibly friendly and accommodating and the ambience is indescribable and unbeatable. We come from Northern Germany but we will make a stop here in the future. what sets my favorite Italian apart: Good & personal service, excellent food, whether pizza, pasta, FISH, or anything else... so: 1 A cuisine, whether to take away or eat there. My favorite place is usually free even during “my times”. You can have a conversation undisturbed and without a lot of noise and hustle and bustle around you. The seats and chairs are comfortable, the tables are clean, and I particularly like the "high-quality" cutlery, which feels good in the hand (I don't like cheap cutlery in restaurants, which is light and doesn't feel good in the mouth). "Andrea" has already provided us with catering to Augsburg several times, and the price and performance are great. All of my friends from outside ALWAYS want to go to “Andrea in Friedberg” when they are here. PS: we need your catering again in April...

We have enjoyed coming here for years. Sometimes for a pizza for two, sometimes with the whole family for a birthday. The food is very tasty and the service is polite, attentive and even ready for the odd joke. Classic Italian cuisine, very finely implemented. This time we even created a special dessert for Grandma's birthday, with extra cream 😉. We thank you!

Today, once again, we ate very well. There were several of us and everyone was happy with the food. The staff friendly and accommodating. The boss himself is very simpatico and we had a very nice evening. We would be happy to come back.

We were a slightly larger group for lunch. We made our reservation by phone the evening before and it was completely uncomplicated. The restaurant is incredibly cozy. We sat in the vault in a side room. The service is attentive and orders were taken quickly. The head of the house recommends daily fresh dishes personally at the table. The entire company was taken care of quite quickly and at the same time. No matter whether meat dishes, pizza or pasta dishes. Everything was super delicious. We asked several times whether everything was OK. I have one tiny point of criticism. With all due respect to the exuberant customer friendliness, I would have liked the empty plates not to be cleared away immediately. As a result, the conversations at the table were repeatedly interrupted at short notice. We would have been completely okay with the dishes being put away at the end when everyone is finished. But this rustic, cozy restaurant is definitely recommended. And the price is right too. We will definitely make it one of our favorite restaurants.

Positive: very nice Italian restaurant with vaulted ceilings. Food excellent. Good service. Prices okay. Waiter (thinner figure) very friendly and helpful. Special kudos to him. We waited an hour for food, but that's okay since it was Christmas time and we assume everything was freshly prepared. Negative: The semicircular ceilings caused echoes in the back room, which made everything very loud. Normal conversation with the room full was hardly possible. The second waiter who served us at the beginning (well built with a beard, or the owner himself) was probably stressed. He always makes funny jokes that make you wonder whether it was a joke or a hidden insult. He was constantly in a hurry and always looked into the distance when speaking, giving the impression that he had to make jokes to impress the guests. I have visited this restaurant before and always had the same experience. Our circle of friends also speaks negatively about it. Star deduction for that. Otherwise, the restaurant is highly recommended. I would also recommend making reservations, especially for the weekend. There are no dedicated parking spaces.

It's always a dream to eat here. From pizza, pasta, fish to meat, everything we have eaten with you so far has been super delicious 🤤 you are a great team and make it possible for us to simply feel good with you. Outstanding place for a casual Italian dinner. Big menu with many choices. Pizza was great as was the pasta. Place is in a cellar and the decor is really cool. Waiter was great. Crowded and filled with holiday cheer!

Have had dinner here many times and have never been disappointed. Both pizza, pasta and the mixed starter platter are highly recommended. Wednesdays are pasta day - almost all pasta dishes can be taken away for €8. We regularly take them with us on the way home. The service is very friendly and overall we feel very comfortable here.

Super tasty 🍕 pizzas, cool atmosphere!

We can't rate the food because we didn't receive any. After a hike with friends, we wanted to end the evening there and eat pizza. We were able to place our order soon and the drinks arrived promptly. Unfortunately the pizza was a long time coming. After 45 minutes we asked the staff and received the answer: it's still taking time. We sat in the next room where we could see that many pizzas were being picked up. After 90 minutes we put the money for the drinks on the table and left the restaurant. The restaurant was full (normal Tuesday) but we were wondering why the guests who picked up were preferred over us. So it's better not to come hungry and plan your time. We won't show up there again.

Hello, my wife and I are in Friedberg 1-2 times a year and come here regularly. The restaurant offers a very nice atmosphere, the staff is extremely polite and very competent. The food was excellent, one evening of fish, one evening of meat and at the end, on the recommendation of the boss, a super delicious dessert. We pre-ordered 15 pizzas, then when we picked them up we had to wait 37 minutes and received no apologies and were even treated rudely. You can really feel sorry for the chef, who is constantly being insulted for mistakes made by the boss when taking the order.

Absolute impudence, we spent 40 on our PRE-ORDERED PIZZAS (ordered several hours in advance)! Having to wait minutes, no accommodation in the price, no understanding, boss rude and overwhelmed. The pizza maker does a good job, pizzas are delicious.

We pre-ordered for 8 p.m. and still had to wait 45 minutes for our food. We were also held back more often, like another 5 minutes, another 10 minutes, etc. Unfortunately very substandard service. But the pizza was quite good.

The service is friendly, attentive and leaves nothing to be desired. Overall, a wonderful place to enjoy delicious food in pleasant company. The Gambrinus Cellar is definitely worth a visit – I will definitely come back!

There were about 16 of us in the back of the bar on a Friday evening. So we had almost everything to ourselves and the seats were comfortable. The food and drinks were excellent, the starter platters were excellent and could almost have replaced the main course. The rest of the evening was relaxed with dessert and drinks. We found this restaurant by chance while on vacation. We would like to order capaccion as a starter. Chef also recommended us mussels. We are excited about it. The main course (beef with noodles and fish) is also very good and tastes absolutely great. We can only recommend the restaurant if you are in Friedberg.

I've been there several times and every time the food is great, as is the service, which is super nice and funny. And the espresso last time was on the house, which isn't always a given. Simply a great restaurant!

We used to go to the Gambrinuskeller very often, so we went there again last week with our children. We reserved a table at 5:45 p.m. When we arrived on time the gentleman told us directly that we could only stay until 7:15 p.m. Why don't you provide such information when you make your reservation? Then we would have gone somewhere else because we ultimately wanted to sit for a while. Well, we swallowed it and stayed. We ordered an appetizer platter and a very small plate came with almost nothing on it. No seafood, cheese, salami... just a slice of roast veal as vitello tonnato, a slice of carpaccio with two mini pieces of parmesan, a slice of melon with ham and two pieces of zucchini... that's it. And that for €15! Well, we weren't thrilled. Then it was time to pay. The bill came to €165, which I paid by card. The printout from the card machine suddenly said €181 and I asked where the difference came from. The waiter says that's the 10%. I asked which 10%? Then he said that was the tip. Without asking, he entered a 10% tip into the device. I then had the payment canceled and demanded the correct payment, which he then did. Truly a meal to forget! Never again! It has now been more than a month and there has been no response since my review. That probably says it all about how guests are treated here and how complaints are handled! Absolutely not recommended! The following correspondence arrived on Facebook after weeks of waiting. An excellent and authentic restaurant! The food is hard to beat in terms of cuisine and the service and ambience are simply great. Whether on the sunny terrace or in the attractive vaulted cellar, you feel very comfortable and are guaranteed not to regret a visit.

BEST restaurant! Especially the fish and the fresh starters (mussels/octopus) are very delicious. Andrea, the innkeeper, is passionate about it and the quality is at the highest level. It is and remains our favorite restaurant. You don't have to travel around the world, the most beautiful restaurants are often right under your nose.
