One of the best Mexicans I have tried in Europe. Authentic food with a fusion and creative touch. Highly recommended, I will repeat without a doubt

Food service and ambience top. We really had a great evening with delicious food. Music also fits. The store is an absolute recommendation. There is a star deduction for the small selection of non-alcoholic drinks and especially for the prices of the non-alcoholic items. 3.50 euros for 0.2 GrapefruitLimo is simply too much.

Wow! First of all, thank you for the lovely evening. We stopped by there spontaneously and I have to say, respect! Great, simple, very authentic Mexican food. Service was extremely good and I am thrilled with your store. You can tell you all do this with heart and love for food. If you want a relaxing evening, you should go there. We came specifically to order tacos. After we sat down we had to sit at sticky tables and the waiter stared holes into the air. We left immediately, who knows what the kitchen looks like.

Good food at adjusted prices. Depending on the dish, large or smaller portions. The staff is always super friendly and helpful if you have any questions. Sometimes the delivery time to the table took a little longer, but I put that down to the day (Friday) and the fact that many people ordered at the same time. Definitely try it out.

We are outraged!!! Went there just before 6:00 p.m. and waited almost two hours for 6 tacos. As compensation we got two shots that we were charged for!!!!!! I would not recommend the restaurant for this reason

Super authentically delicious tacos and the best margaritas ever!

Cool shop, with ice-cold Heineken. Delicious snacks like wings and quesadillas in a very cool atmosphere. Oh yes: of course there is also delicious and good tequila!

I liked the vibe of this place sooo much! The restaurant manager, the waiters and the music were very uplifting! If you want to have a good night here, go for it!!!!

Nice service and we were able to sit very relaxed. But unfortunately we imagined our dinner to be different than canned mushrooms in the soggy quesadillas.

It is a comfortable place to watch the Euro Cup, good food and beer, service is good. In large part, the success is due to how well they prepare the dishes, congratulations to the chef.

Great shop, really nice idea. However, unfortunately poor service. We were only served by the boss when requested. We waited a long time for the drinks. We only give it 4 stars thanks to the owner because she apologized several times and even personally served us a free drink. Therefore we give the store another chance and will probably come back.

Ambience deserves a 0/5, you sit on the sidewalk and the street with trams and cars is really loud! Service also leaves a lot to be desired. There was only one waitress and the restaurant was full with 15 tables. Too much for a waitress. The food was tasty but the portions were small.

An incredible place, 100% Mexican food, the margarita is delicious. Without a doubt a good place to go to eat and have a good time with family and friends. Don't hesitate to go and order nachos and tacos al pastor.

Disclaimer: I'm American, and I know good Mexican food. This is, by far, the best Mexican food I've had in Germany outside of my personal kitchen. I had the Baja shrimp tacos. Excellent. Others has the carnitas. They were a bit dry. Gallo needs more servers. We waited forever. That's the lone star deduction. Otherwise, very good Mexican food. Dine in confidence that you're getting the real deal.

Nach ca. Einer Stunde ist das die Vorspeise kalt gekommen, haben gegessen weil wir lange gewartet haben ! unsere Gläser waren auch lange leer. Und dann wieder noch 40 Minuten für das Haupgericht gewartet.. Nie wieder!!!

Definitely don't eat there! We were served something even though we didn't order it. There were four of us there, with the same opinion that we didn't order it, but the waitress insisted that it was ordered. Of course we didn't eat it. It's an absolute disgrace the way you treat customers. A pure impudence. I no longer recommend this restaurant to anyone and am thinking about checking it out. We've never experienced anything like this before. Ad is out!

Great and delicious food. If you come to dinner and are very hungry, I would recommend an appetizer or two portions of tacos. Very nice service and authentic food. When it comes to cocktails, I recommend the margarita, very tasty!

Unfortunately, I expected more. The map that is available for download on the website is not up to date. There are only tacos as the main course. There is actually little choice. It is an advantage to order several starters. The main course (corn rolls) was too lean for our taste. So if you're really hungry you might not want to eat there. The food itself tasted good, but I've had better Mexican restaurants. If you're planning a visit to a bar and need something to eat, it's a great idea.

We were there for a nightcap. Interesting atmosphere. This is how you imagine a bar in Mexico. Very friendly service. The music was a bit too loud for us. Difficult to have a conversation. But still recommended.

Authentic and super tasty. A little more expensive, but worth the price.

Very tasty and the small menu speaks for the place. The dishes are essentially truly Mexican and not just Tex-Mex. What I was missing, however, were 2-3 salsas on the table to eat. That would make the feeling a little more authentic.

Very tasty food, price-performance ratio completely ok. Only the lack of spiciness clouded my eating experience. That's one star less.

Very tasty authentic Mexican cuisine (Mexican approved). The furnishings also look pretty fancy. The service was very friendly and attentive, only the waiting time for the food was a bit long. But if you're not stressed, that shouldn't be a problem.

Well, we were actually looking forward to a nice dinner. Ordered a table for four people two weeks in advance, studied the menu and chose the food. Were there a little early, but no problem. The assigned table wasn't that great, we asked for another one, which was easily done. Service was quick, the waitress immediately brought the card, which only consisted of a sheet of paper. Only a few snacks and 1 main course were displayed there. The menu viewed in advance did not match the one served in the restaurant in any way. When we asked the waitress, she told us that the restaurant had changed its concept and that the focus was now only on offering several snacks, of which you would then have to order several. Given the prices for the snacks, that would have exceeded our calculation by almost 100%. We then left and ate somewhere else. We also told the waitress that. It is recommended to update the menu accordingly on the Internet so as not to confuse or disappoint potential guests. Ambiance in the restaurant is great and friendly service staff.

Cocktails great, food great... Unfortunately the plates (made of wood) were very broken, but maybe that's part of it.

The tacos had an authentic flavor profile but the tortillas were stale. Portions were small and the price was high. The staff was a bit rude and I've heard from multiple people that management treats their staff poorly, inviting a protest 1.5 years ago. It's definitely the most authentic place in the city but it's not worth for me to pay premium prices for inconsistent food quality and values I don't agree with.

At first we were a bit surprised by the unfamiliar/unfamiliar dishes on the (short) menu. But that was clearly OUR mistake, because we expected the "ordinary" Mexican dishes. It took a while to take the drink order, but you could already feel that there was a cozy atmosphere. And we let ourselves be captured by it and carried into a world that was previously unknown to us. Thanks for that. We had a wonderful evening, enjoyed the unimaginably delicious food (we think you should try everything there) and munched on margaritas that were never so good Here you can find true Mexican cuisine that takes guests into a wonderful world for a few hours. We'll definitely be back soon.

I thought the food was pretty good considering it's not in Mexico. The bad thing is that it took a long time to get to my table (an hour and a half to barely receive the entrance) when a group of 4 men arrived at the next table and received preferential treatment and were able to leave after an hour. Everyone else got the same slow treatment. When they wanted to apologize they offered me a dish, for which I waited 20 minutes and preferred to ask for the bill. Honestly it's not worth it.

A great restaurant to experience modern and delicious Mexican cuisine! The service was super nice and the food was of high quality. The only drawback: the main courses are small. Tip: We recommend the nachos from the appetizer plate, which are an 11/10 ☺️

I visited the Mexican restaurant on a Tuesday evening. It was quite busy, but not too crowded. The intervals at which the nice waitress came to the table were pleasant - not too quickly and you didn't have to wait forever. Questions about the different dishes were answered in a friendly manner. The barman also briefly reached out to politely explain to us how to eat everything, namely with our hands. Nevertheless, a knife and fork are served, which I also used. After wine and tequila, we ordered water. The waitress even offered chilled tap water in a large jug, which tasted very good. It was my first time eating original Mexican food and I found it very tasty. The spiciness was quite pleasant. Tip!!! It's better to order several dishes and share them with each other. The variety makes the whole thing really interesting and so you can try more. I found the atmosphere to be relaxing. Chairs and tables are not ultra-modern, but rather in an older, cozy style. I found the padded chair very comfortable. The decoration is Mexican style. I felt very comfortable. As mentioned, the service was friendly, helpful and professional. The only drawback: Finding a parking space is not that easy. The Gallo Negro is highly recommended!

Sensationally delicious Mexican. The shop is beautifully decorated. We had a selection of dishes which were very tasty.

Very tasty Mexican food. Not the typical TexMex, but really a small, fine menu. Not a huge selection, but everything is fresh, authentic and made with love. Ultra tasty.

The ambience is very good, the service is quite dynamic. The only vegan dish on the menu was not appropriate for the price. Both in terms of taste and quantity. In the group, the appetizer “Nachos with cheese” was completely convincing.

This place has really disappointed me and my girlfriend the other day. I have had a good experience a couple month ago and this is why I wanted to take her here but this time we were not treated well. We have sent back one dish because it contained old fat and just didn’t taste good. As a response we weren’t offered any choice of a replacement and were also charged for it. The way this was handled was not professional nor kind.The rest of the food wasn’t good either. I would not recommend this place.

Satz mit X... Die Location an sich ist schön, aber leider stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht. Die Portionen sind für den Preis zu klein, und unser Essen war leider schon fast kalt als es kam, und außerdem eher trocken. Außerdem stehen auf der Website Angebote wie die Happy Hour 2 Getränke zu 1 Preis, die es dann gar nicht gibt. Wir kommen nicht mehr hierher.

Super entspannt und diese Mageritas... Träumchen.

Für 3 Teller mit jeweils 3 kleinen Tacos und einer Schale Nachos 40 € zu bezahlen, naja. Also ich kann das Restaurant wirklich nicht weiterempfehlen. Wir sagten beide nach dem Essen nur: "So, jetzt hab ich Hunger".

Ein sehr tolles Restaurant. Trotzdem gibt es ein paar Kritikpunkte die ich ansprechen möchte. Das Essen war sehr gut aber auf jedenfall sollte man Soßen anbieten da es für mich zu trocken war. Sonst ist das Essen sehr gut. Schade finde ich es das die Bedingung ein wenig träge war. Trotzdem top Restaurant.

Very cool place with a nice vibe. The food was delicious, but the portions were a little on the smaller side for the price. There were few choices for vegetarians and they weren't labeled in the menu. Also only one dessert option (It was churros so delicious of course).

Durch Zufall haben wir ohne Reservierung noch einen Tisch gefunden und nachdem man sich an den „Lärmpegel“ gewöhnt hat, konnten wir uns von leckeren mexikanischem Essen und sehr guten Margaritas überzeugen.

Leckere Speisen und Getränke werden in einem zauberhaften Ambiente liebevoll serviert. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Das Essen ist sehr gut, aber die Portionen sind winzig, für den Preis zu klein. Wir haben EWIG auf unser Essen gewartet und haben dann alle nacheinander essen müssen, da alles nacheinander kam. Wir hätten dann gern noch mehr bestellt, weil es viel zu wenig war, aber nochmal 1,5 Stunden warten wollten wir dann doch nicht. Der Service war nett aber extrem langsam.

Essen gut. Bedienung gut. Eigentlich alles top. Aber: Man bekommt keine Rechnung. Es wird ohne Beleg kassiert und dann bekommt man eine Zwischenrechnung. Obwohl ich vorher Bewirtungsbeleg angefragt hatte, war es nicht möglich, mir eine Rechnung auszustellen.

Service was wonderful! The Tacos Pastor were really tasty, but sadly breaking quite easy. It should be double tortillas. A little overpriced for the small portion aswell. Nonetheless, I would eat here again. Play out your strength by being one of the only Taco places in town!🙏🏽

Es gab Tapas zum Tapasdienstag günstiger. Die Cocktails waren voll mein Geschmack.

Very tasty place. The tacos and nachos were first class. We had the margarita pitcher, 3 of them!. Highly recommended. The host was very attentive and he waved a free ration of churros!.

I kept hearing for so many years about how "authentic" this restaurant is for Mexican food, and that the owners actually come from Mexico City and such... And while we do really like certain dishes on the menu, many of our favourite (molé based) recipes have been all but scrubbed from the menu and much of the rest can be best described as "Mexican fusion" perhaps, rather than "authentic, classic Mexican". Yes, yes I know, like almost every other cuisine, Mexican cuisine is regional rather than national. There are the staples such as Tacos al Pastor or Tacos de Carnitas, but everything else is either some kind of fusion or perhaps variations diverging from the originals, better described as "Mexican inspired", rather than "Oaxaqueña", "Poblano", "Veracruzana" or whatever. As an FYI, the menu seems to favour northern Mexican food items over southern Mexican overall. We will certainly come back for our favourites, but if you, like we were originally expecting real, authentic Mexican food as you can find in the various regional cuisines of Mexico, please disabuse yourself of such notions. Then you will not be so deeply disappointed as we were. If you're German and have never stepped foot anywhere in Mexico, the food here will indeed seem "authentic" compared to many of the Germanified Tex-Mex offerings you can find in Leipzig and Germany in general. If you, like me, have spent a number of years wandering around many, many regions of Mexico, sampling the wonderfully diverse and delicious cuisines of the country, you'll definitely need to adjust your expectations to appreciate what is offered here... I will say, that if you come in without the weight of expectations and experience with regional Mexican cuisines that I had, there are delicious options to be had. But please, let's call this cuisine "Mexican fusion", "Mexican inspired", rather than the misleading and mostly untruthful "authentic Mexican". Also, some tips when and if you decide to go here: do be aware that many of the staff are unable to understand either English or German, so if you have some basics in Spanish, it can help. Our order has been misunderstood more than once. Definitely also eat a bit before you come here, don't come here famished, because just like the contents of the menu itself, the portion sizes are definitely NOT like what you'd find in Mexico either. If the food really were like how you'd find it in Mexico, I wouldn't even mention this, but in my opinion the price you pay sadly doesn't correspond to the portion sizes.

Aktentisches mexikanisches Restaurant. Das Essen ist wirklich sehr gut und man fühlt sich wie im Urlaub. Donnerstags ist den ganzen Tag Happy Hour. Cocktails zum Beispiel ein Pitcher Margarita 15€🥳

Geschmacklich meiner Meinung nach top, die Portionen könnten für den aufgerufenen Preis nur etwas größer sein. Das ist am Essen auch der einzige Kritikpunkt. Ambiente authentisch, passt. Service war in unserem Fall leider nur bis zum Hauptgang gut, die Nachspeise wurde bestellt und auch nach nochmaliger Erinnerung vergessen. Wir haben sie erst erhalten, als wir dann lange genug gewartet hatten und bereits zahlen wollten. Es wurde sich jedoch auch für die Unannehmlichkeit entschuldigt.

Also das Ambiente fand ich gut. Die Bedienung könnte aufmerksamer sein. Und vom Essen her, ich muß dazu sagen ich war vorher noch nicht mexikanisch essen,ich hab aus der Karte ein Hauptgericht bestellt. Die Bedienung kommt und stellt einen Teller mit drei kleinen Tacos hin. War nicht wirklich sättigend....

Ambiente schön. Personal sehr freundlich. Preise etwas drüber für die kleinen Portionen. Eine Happy Hour wäre nicht ungerechtfertigt.

Le falta un empuje a la comida, más sasón, también limón, salsas, cosas normales en comida mexicana. Los tacos baja y cochinita están buenos pero les falta todo eso. Los tacos son chiquitos. El servicio, la pobre mesera arrastraba los pies, lenta, con trabajos hablaba. Aparte de todo, no es barato para Leipzig y deberían de mejorar su comida y servicio. Vamos a volver en unos meses a probar una vez más, creemos en ustedes!!

Man bekommt kleine, leider nur teilweise leckere Tapas zu einem deutlich zu hohem Preis. Der Service ist nett und freundlich, der Wein ist gut und im Preis angemessen.

Este local es perfecto para pasar el rato cualquier día de la semana. Las bebidas son muy ricas, la atención es excelente y la comida te lleva directo a Mexico. La decoración del local en general es hermosa, es muy limpio, la música variada. Te hacen sentir como en casa. 100% recomendados.

Nette Bedienung, der Wein war auch okay. Die Gerichte sind jedoch total überteuert, sehr kleine Portionen und schmecken nicht. Man kommt hungrig und geht hungrig. Ist wirklich nicht zu empfehlen!

Essen war absolut nicht gut und die Größe ähnelt einem Kindergericht. Das Ambiente war angenehm und der Laden hatte eine gemütliche und authentische Einrichtung. Aber zum Essen würde ich diesen Laden nicht empfehlen, höchstens für ein paar entspannte Drinks

As we entered the restaurant, there was immediately a Mexican vibe to it. Place is cozy and the staff is polite and present. We ordered nachos and quesadillas and both were really good. We also gave a chance to a mexican beer but we didn’t like it for 6.5€ 😀 Overall a nice authentic mexican restaurant and definitely recommended.

Mein Partner und ich waren zum Valentinstag dort essen. Das Restaurant war gut besucht. Gleich zu Beginn war zu erkennen, dass es nur eine Servicefachkraft gibt und eine Aushilfe. Aufgrunddessen kam es bereits zu Verzögerungen bei der Bestellung sowie dem Servieren der Getränke (Getränke wurden z.T. gar nicht serviert). Leider war es an dem Abend auch nicht möglich die Vorspeise separat, vor dem Hauptgang, zu bestellen, da es sonst zu weiteren Wartezeiten kommen würde. Das Essen war leider ebenso nicht dem entsprechend, was man von einem mexikanischen Restaurant erwarten würde. Die ausgeschriebenen Chicken Wings waren keine Klassischen und dies war aus der Karte nicht abzuleiten. Es waren Geflügelwings die weder mariniert noch im Ofen zubereitet wurden. Sie waren in einer Panade frittiert. Dementsprechend trieften diese vor Fett und schmeckten auch so. Die Rippchen waren waren gleichenfalls paniert und frittiert. Beides war aus der Karte nicht zuerlesen. Bei den Hauptspeisen ging es leider enttäuschend weiter. Die vegetarischen Tacos waren keine Tacos, sondern handtellergroße kalten/rohen Wraps, belegt mit ungewürzten frittierten Avocadospalten sowie ungewürztem Rohkostsalat. Bei der anderen Hauptspeise wurde der dazugehörige Salat weggelassen (ohne uns Kunden zu informieren), da er aus war und es zu lange gedauert hätte diesen zuzubereiten (1 1/2h nach Lokalöffnung). Stattdessen wurde ein Kleks Guacomole hinzugefügt. Am Ende bestand diese Hauptspeise aus zwei trockenen Hühnchenminutensteaks, trockenen Tortillachips und einem Kleks Guacomole. Resümierend hatten wir noch nie so ein geschmacksneutrales und lieblos gestaltetes mexikanisches Essen. Es war sehr enttäuschend von der Servicearbeit bis hin zu den Speisen. I have never felt so humiliated and embarrassed in my life ..its so hard to imagine that at this century that I would experience pure racism in my life especially in Germany.. Went there with a couple of friends and they just refused us a place to sit just because we are blacks ...and other people were allowed to sit ... This is unacceptable and I hope the management will do something about this ... I would never recommend this place to anyone of color ...

The worst experience we have had in Our life regarding Race.We went there for a drink with my friends .the owner declined us from sitting there and plain told us we cant sit in the Restaurant. It Was almost empty and we even requested to sit outside. Pure rejection and she told us we camt sit there because we are Black. September 2022 .still racist? Avoid this Restaurant at all costs.!!!!
