Wie immer das beste Essen in Berlin. Wir mussten leider trotz Reservierung fünf bis zehn Minuten auf den Tisch warten, aber der nette Service hat es wiedergutgemacht.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Beratung zum Fisch gut.

Es ist ohne Zweifel das beste Fischrestaurant, in dem ich bisher gewesen bin! Beim nächsten Aufenthalt in Berlin werde ich ganz sicher wieder dort essen gehen!

Gutes Essen & Gutes Service Das gesamte Team sorgt für einen rundum gelungenen Abend, die Bedienung sehr aufmerksam und nicht zu aufdringlich. Das Essen - Fisch und Beilagen - alles frisch und schmackhaft. Das Ambiente ist Cosy & gemütlich. Ganz klare Empfehlung.

Zwei sehr freundliche und charismatische haben den Abend sehr angenehm gemacht. Einer hatte sogar ein Kostüm an.

Sehr gut. Schöne Auswahl. Super Atmosphäre. Leger. Nettes, unaufdringliches und trotzdem zuvorkommendes Personal. Essen insgesamt ebenso lecker mit feiner Fischauswahl.

Essen sehr gut, Service super aufmerksam, aber was extrem stört: Die begrenzte Zeit beim Besuch. Man trifft sich mit Freunden und muss auf die Uhr schauen, wenn man aufstehen muss. Es stört extrem und ist nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Bitte über Änderung nachdenken, da diese Maßnahme extrem abturnt.

Leider wurde die Hauptspeise serviert als wir die Vorspeisen nicht beendet haben und die Beilage die bestellt war, sollte in 5-8‘ nachgereicht werden. Dies war leider schwach

The food is well-prepared; the Chinese buns as an appetizer were delicious, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. Overall, however, it's too expensive; we paid almost €200 for two small appetizers, a fish platter, and a dessert. The ambiance is okay, a bit cramped, but it has its charm, and it's nice to sit outside in the summer.

...a typical Berlin crossover restaurant...cool, minimalist design...dishes ranging from fish and bowls to oysters and rib-eye. The quality was just okay this time...usually it's usually very good. The prices are very high...a bit overpriced in my opinion. The service is international and good...what's not okay are the "2-hour slots"...for those prices, I'd like to eat in peace and be able to linger and enjoy my bottle of wine...compared to its sister restaurant 893 next door, it's still acceptable. There, the prices are even higher, and you feel rushed...order quickly, eat quickly, pay...and out!...that's just not right.

This is our first time while visiting Berlin. The restaurant was filled with a local Berlin crowd. We were seated right away but at the low counter looking out the window. Due to the fact that my partner has a knee issue, it would have been extremely uncomfortable for him so we got moved to the bar instead. Thank goodness because we were taken care of by the bartender name Sunny. He was very personable and engaging suggesting the mushroom sides and that I probably won’t need to order the large bowl of the bouillabaisse - so true. We ordered the sea bream ceviche which was delicious! My partner had the tuna risotto and me the bouillabaisse. The risotto was cooked with a green vegetable which surprised my partner a bit being not a green vegetable person. My bouillabaisse was very good with shrimps and fish that were cooked just right. The rouille was delicious as well. However, it was more like a fish soup than a bouillabaisse. We saw the table behind us have a whole fish filléd which was something that we didn’t see at all on the menu. Apparently, you can order whole grilled fish. I guessed you needed to be local to know this. We were disappointed that no one told us because that was what we would had. I did find the deco and ambiance a bit stark but overall, it was a very good experience.

After 8 nights in Berlin, this has been the best dining experience. After too many heavy meat dishes the delight of fresh seafood on display and knowledgeable service staff guided us through a great food experience. Wish I had found this place earlier in my trip. Special mention to Tzunami! Handsomely guided us through the menu. X

We love coming to Funky Fish. The food is always excellent, and we're always happy when Roman is there; his expertise and sense of humor always make for a great evening.

Very tasty, with relaxed and friendly service. Because we had a table near the kitchen entrance, we got a bottle of wine on the house!

Super lecker, bisschen Bistrocharakter vom Ambiente, sehr netter Service

Top-notch food, super delicious, sitting outside in the summer. What could be better? Okay, it would be better if you weren't asked to get up because your table was being rebooked—even though you've spent several hundred euros eating and drinking and want to order dessert. And that's when other tables were still free. Sorry, that's just not possible. As delicious as it was... we won't be coming back. That's never happened to me before. 🙁

I haven't been this impressed by a restaurant in a long time. The food was very good and the service above average. They gave good advice about the fish they were serving. The service was always attentive, whether it was refilling our wine or bridging the wait with a little something. We were even able to customize things so we could have the main course salad as a starter salad. It was a lot of fun eating at Funky Fish. I will definitely come back again.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Abend bei Funkyfish. Von der Atmosphäre, über das Essen bis hin zum Service haben wir nichts zu beanstanden. Wir wurden vom Personal sehr gut beraten wenn es um den Fisch ging, kleine Wartezeiten wurden sofort wahrgenommen und mit einem kleinen Gruß aus der Küche überbrückt (die Wartezeit haben wir selbst gar nicht als negativ wahrgenommen). Das Essen war sehr gut. Der Fisch war frisch und wurde schön hergerichtet. Wir haben Vor-, Haupt- und Nachspeise gegessen und fanden alles sehr gut. Wir werden auf jeden Fall öfter herkommen. Reservierungen sind sinnvoll.

The food, especially the appetizers, is highly recommended. Our favorites were definitely the fish soup, the ceviche, and the popcorn.

Wir hatten 2 sehr frisch angerichtete Vorspeisen mit unvergleichlicher Aromavielfalt. Zwischendurch ein paar Austern und zur Hautspeise gebratenen Fisch den wir uns im frischen Zustand ausgesucht hatten. Die Nachspeise rundete die ganze Sache hervorragend ab.

Immer wieder ein Genuss. Der freundliche Service, das leckere Essen und die ausgesuchten Weine.

Don’t get distracted by the name :) It’s a very cool, casual, but also a touch of a fancy place! The display of fish looks really nice, and fresh! The price setting feels a little bit higher than excpected, but overall I would recommend this place and be a regular here.

A great place to eat fish and seafood in Berlin. Everything is very fresh and tastes delicious.

Amazing food and excellent service. The best to visit is in a summer evening , sitting outside and soak up the atmosphere of West Berlin.

The restaurant is located on a side street off Ku'Damm. In summer, you can sit on the wide sidewalk, but the surroundings aren't exactly great: heavy traffic, and the S-Bahn bridge is nearby. But here's the big BUT: the fantastic food makes up for it all. There were five of us there, and we all had something different; and everyone loved it.

Great place. Everything is sooooo delicious.

Sensational food and, above all, great service. You can tell how much the staff enjoy their work, the atmosphere is warm and we will definitely be back!

Das Restaurant ist wirklich uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen. Das Essen ist wirklich fantastisch und man fühlt sich als Gast willkommen. Besonders gut gefallen haben uns die Empfehlungen des Service. Meine Frau und ich hatten uns mehrere kleine Gerichte ausgesucht und unser Ansprechpartner hat sich die Mühe gemacht, alles in die perfekte Reihenfolge zu bringen. Alles in einer lockeren, witzigen und entspannten Atmosphäre. Mehr geht nicht!

We were here today for my birthday on a recommendation, and we were not disappointed. The service was extremely attentive, open, friendly, and polite. I've rarely experienced such professional service, especially the waiter. The food: unbelievably good! The freshness of the products, the presentation, the flavors... Great! And the wine, too. It was a truly wonderful evening! The way to a person's heart is through their stomach. A good meal with attentive service is simply quality of life and an art that makes life better! Excellent dishes, especially the fish, and outstanding service – we come regularly! However, in the summer, it's very hot without air conditioning, which is stressful for guests and especially for the staff. With air conditioning, it would be perfect!

A magnificent evening in a stylish ambiance. Upon entering, the impressive fish counter catches the eye – fresh daily and beautifully presented. The preparation is spot-on, sophisticated, and full of flavor. The starter was a delicious seafood pasta dish, which perfectly fit the concept without overshadowing the fish. Accompanied by a fine glass of wine, the evening was a perfect one. A definite recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy first-class fish in Berlin!

We visited this restaurant for lunch, the staff was very polite and friendly. A large selection of dishes, the choice of fresh fish and seafood is unreal. To our taste, the food was mediocre, without any delights. Quite a lot of sauces in each dish, which clearly interrupts the taste of fish and seafood.

Wie immer ein toller Service und eine sehr gute Fischauswahl in hoher Qualität, inklusive Vorspeisen und die fritierte "Aubergine Mediterran". Auch wer mal einen tollen Rum probieren will oder auh einfach dazu Erfahrung austauschen will ist hier richtig.

Essen war wirklich exzellent, das Ambiente war für mittags und frühen Abend ok, aber für ein Late Dinner, unserer Meinung, weniger cosy.

Amazing cauliflower! This green dip is also pretty good!

High quality fish with a modern twist. Homemade sauces are spectacular. Gluten free and lactose free options. Many vegetarian sidedishes also available. We ordered sea bream ceviche, which was perfect in its citric flavour and texture, and the pulpo a la vera, which had an exceptional sauce with a spicy spark. All the vegetarian sidedishes had the perfect point of salt and texture. We loved the smoky flavour of the green asparagus. The service was exceptional. A must in Berlin if you are looking for fresh fish but want to flee the typical seafood or fish traditional restaurant, modern cuisine with a young vibe.

I go to Funky Fisch quite often because the food consistently exceeds expectations, it’s truly some of the best in town! But it’s not just the food that keeps me coming back; the staff is absolutely incredible. Every team member is friendly, attentive, and genuinely service-minded, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A special shout-out to Tzunami! He’s not only a fantastic host but also makes some of the best drinks you’ll ever have. If you happen to visit while he’s working, you’re definitely in for a treat.

Funky Fish is always worth a visit. Great food, great ambiance, great wines, and the icing on the cake are the wonderful people in service, behind the bar, and in the kitchen. Very attentive, always in a good mood, and always ready for a few personal words. We always enjoy coming back to "our" Funky Fish Berlin.

We really struggled to find a fish restaurant in Berlin but, luckily we found Funky Fisch. A little shabby chic from the outside but the welcome, the service and most importantly the fish and wine were fantastic. We are so pleased we found Funky Fisch for our last dinner in Berlin. Thank you team, you made our night.

Paid 45 euros for two portions of 'unfinished' poke bowls that I took to go. It's without rice and raw. Tastes spicy but nothing special. Had also 100ml of Riesling. The waiters, while very polite and friendly, told me they usually serve extra bread and olives but the bread is 'baking', so I didn't get any. The toilet smelled very funky, indeed, and the raw fish on display looked stale. The restaurant might want to consider joining food rescue programmes. Not sure why Berlin can't get fish right.

We both had the octopus, which was quite good quality. The portions were rather small. The tomato sauce, in particular, was far too overpowering for us and didn't allow the octopus to really shine. Not a good combination for me; I've had simpler, and therefore much more refined, dishes. Our second drink order was forgotten once, but otherwise the service was OK.

I highly recommend "Funky Fish"! The food is truly excellent and the atmosphere is super cool! We've been there several times and had a great evening every time. We'd love to come back!

Delicious, pleasant, worth the price We really enjoyed our dinner for five: If you like, you can choose a piece of fish at the counter or choose from the menu. We had ceviche, fried calamari, and Pimientos de Padron as starters, and prawns, fish with risotto, and bouillabaisse as main courses, along with cocktails and a Sauvignon from the Palatinate region. Everything was extremely tasty and prepared in an original way, but without being awkward or contorted. We were delighted with the chocolate with ice cream and the crème brûlée with passion fruit for dessert. The service is particularly pleasant: consistently friendly, competent, and always available without being intrusive. The ambiance is bright and relaxed. One very small criticism: tablecloths would be nice!

Like the name you get all sorts of funky fish here - from tuna, hamachi, octopus, scallops and oysters. Everything cooked to perfection - grilled and served with just a little salt and tangy, funky sauces. If you fancy anything not on the menu, just ask. We wanted one raw oyster and one tempura oyster each - just fantastic!

Das Interieur lässt es nicht zwingend vermuten, denn das ist eher „Berlin Raw“. Aber die Qualitativ der Speisen, der hausgemachten Limonade und der Service sind sehr gut! Thunfisch Risotto: perfekt! Hausgemachte Limetten-Limo: sehr gut Service: aufmerksam, professionell, kenntnissreich zum Angebot und freundlich, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Meine neue TOP Empfehlung in der Berlin City-West, wenn es um Fisch geht.

Wie immer: ein durchweg gelungener Abend mit exzellentem, aufmerksamem Service und herausragender Qualität bei Fisch, Fleisch und allem dazwischen – frisch, punktgenau zubereitet, einfach zum Niederknien. Ambiente? Sehr stilvoll. Aber – kleiner Hinweis an alle Ehemänner da draußen: Gestern war offenbar Ladies’ Choice angesagt. Noch nie habe ich so viele Männer gesehen, die brav genickt haben, während die Damen in aller Ruhe sämtliche Entscheidungen getroffen haben – vom Aperitif bis zum Dessert. Die Kellner? Klug genug, direkt die Ehefrauen anzusprechen. Vielleicht ein neues Gastro-Konzept: „Decision-Free Dining – für Ihn“. Kurzum: ein Fest für den Gaumen – und ein stilles Training in diplomatischer Gelassenheit für alle Gatten.

Wir waren anlässlich eines Berlin Besuchs dort und waren wirklich begeistert. Die Weinkarte hat sehr viele gute Weine darin. Und das Essen, Vorspeise und Hauptgerichte waren grandios. Der Koch versteht sein Handwerk. Wir saßen auf unseren Wunsch draußen. Ein lauer Sommerabend und genau an der Ecke zur Kantstrasse. Berlin typisch mit viel Straßenverkehr und viel Fußgänger die direkt am Tisch vorbei laufen. Aber genau das hat uns gefallen. Mittendrin zu sein. Die Bedienung war super nett und sehr aufmerksam. Es hat uns sehr gefallen. Wirklich zu empfehlen 👍.

Wieder ein tolles Erlebnis. Natürlich ist es etwas teurer, aber qualitativ sehr gut. Toll gewürzte Poke, zarter Oktopus im (großen) Salat, perfekt gegarter Thunfisch auf außergewöhnlichem Kräuterreis, zarter Tempura-Gemüse-Fisch-Mix, kräftige Hummer-Pasta und zum Abschluss eine feine Crème Brûlée mit Ingwereis. Sehr kreativ und handwerklich perfekt. Der Funky Fisch Rosé war glücklicherweise nicht fruchtig und passte ebenfalls sehr gut. Der wirklich perfekte Service rundete einen für uns sehr tollen Abend ab. Lieben Dank noch mal und macht weiter so. Wir kommen leider nicht oft, aber sehr gern wieder.

It was an amazing experience! The service in this restaurant is the best from what I saw in Germany so far. They proposed me to have an extra meal for free because I didn’t enjoy a soup (not because it was bad, but because it wasn’t for my taste). I said that I’ll take 2 oysters instead, and the waiter said he will bring 3 :) when he came back, he brought 4 oysters for me for free… I was amazed. Also the waiters answered all our questions, were very nice and caring. It was such an experience. 💛

The staff is very polite, but what bothered us was the seating. First, we were asked if we were in or out. Out. Okay. Then please go to the left. We sit down, no, the table is only for four. Mmm, then to the right, but also at a small two-seater. Okay. Fun fact: During our stay, only teams of two sat at the four-seaters, which was very unpleasant. The service was mixed; on the way back from the restroom, I had to walk around a group of employees in the middle of the way. Sorry to bother you! But let's get down to business... The food was delicious! We had the tacos (!?), the small flatbreads with filling. They were so good that we had a second portion. Ceviche was super fresh. The popcorn prawns were amazing 👍! The tuna risotto was also great. And the dessert, creme brulée with ginger ice cream, was also a great combo. I have to say, the food was the best of all the TV chefs! Fresh, light and delicious!

Essen gut, aber zu teuer. 5 Garnelen und ein paar Tagliatelle für 41 Euro, nein wirklich nicht.

Wir haben hier eine wunderbare Zeit verbracht. Der Service war spitze, die Location mega und das Essen war von Vorspeise über Hauptgang bis zum Dessert einfach sensationell. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

The herb risotto is a dream, and the fish is fresh and well-prepared. The service is friendly and competent. We really enjoy eating here.

Actually, it's very good in every respect. Unfortunately, there are two tables that are so poorly positioned that they have the potential to spoil any evening.

Nach längerer Zeit wieder eingekehrt: der Oktopus war fest wie Leder, ließ sich kaum mit dem Messer kleinschneiden und das Kauen war eine Zumutung! Sowas haben wir weder in Berlin noch in Frankreich oder Spanien erlebt. Die Bouillabaisse kam eher einer Gulaschsuppe mit Fischeinlage gleich. Wir verzehren wöchentlich gegrillte Fischgerichte und Meeresfrüchte, während unseres jährlichen Langzeiturlaubes am Meer sogar täglich. Unser Abendessen war eine große Enttäuschung bis auf die Austern.
