Ahoy, you hungry privateers! The "Fischkutter" is no ordinary restaurant - it's a pirate fortress full of delicious loot! As soon as you enter, you feel the hint of adventure: wooden planks, sailor's knots and a menu that could be designed like a treasure map. The kitchen? A real piece of gold! I boarded the “Kutterplatte” – a mountain of tender fish, crispy side dishes and a sauce that probably came from the depths of the treasure chest. Every bite was a treasure find, and I almost said "Arrrr!" knocked out with excitement. But the real highlight of the evening was Mr. Zingelmann, our charming and funny deck officer (aka waiter). With his humor and his perfect service, he rounded off the evening as if he were handing a bottle of rum to victory over the royal navy. His effort was so outstanding that even Captain Jack Sparrow would have been jealous! Conclusion: The “Fishing Cutter” is a paradise for hungry pirates. 5 out of 5 sabers - and I'll definitely come back to recover the next culinary treasure! 🏴‍☠️⚓️🐟

Coming here since 2010. the location has changed. The clientele too. More wannabes in KaDeWe nowadays . But the crew, service and attention i knew from the early days are still here and the food and wine is still amazing. Obviously little more expensive nowadays.

This is a place we visit every time and it is amazing every time. Remember to get in line at 11:40…. The restaurant opens at 12 but is very popular. Everything you try is great and of very good quality. You can also ask for a separate menu for oysters

The KaDeWe institution “Fischkutter” on the sixth floor certainly lives up to its reputation as a culinary highlight. Our experience was absolutely fantastic, with professional service ensuring every detail was taken care of with care. The highlight of the menu was undoubtedly the Scholle Finkenwerder Art – a traditional dish cooked to perfection and truly showcasing the charm of classic German cooking. It's comforting to know that some things never change, and the sixth floor of KaDeWe remains a foodie heaven, where nostalgia meets culinary quality. "Fischkutter" is a must for anyone who appreciates tradition combined with first-class quality. We will be back soon!

Amazing experience! The appetizer especially (shrimp with garlic) was the BEST I’ve had in the world. Perfect texture, very fresh and flavorful. Of course, the rest of the meal was great, too. My server was super friendly, always smiling and attentive. Very relaxing atmosphere for my last day in Berlin.

Excellent quality fish for Berlin and deliciously prepared. Always add the tiny shrimp to your dish as they are super tasty. A bit noisy sometimes since you're in KaDeWe but otherwise enjoyable.

Wir hatten Rotbarsch mit Eismeerkrabben, Pommes, Fischkutter Salat, als Vorspeise gab‘s Garnelen……10/10, der Fisch und die Garnelen waren perfekt gebraten, Salat frisch mit leckerem Dressing, wohl dosiert und die Pommes knusprig, so wie es sein soll. Zudem war der Service perfekt. Sehr freundlich, aufmerksam, einfach klasse. Wir werden wiederkommen.

Very good food... Went to the restaurant on a Saturday and it was extremely full, had to wait until a seat was available. Despite the hectic pace and the many guests, the service was very attentive. You could see that there is a team working here that enjoys their work and obviously gets along. And then the quality was just right! I can only recommend it and would be happy to come back.

Yesterday we had dinner on the terrace at the Fischkutter, with a wonderful view and a very nice and honest employee, Chris. Thank you very much, it was too delicious and we will be back!

We had lunch here twice last weekend. The chefs know how to prepare fish to perfection. A big advantage is that all fish can be ordered in two sizes. The "house" Riesling deserves a big 10.

I've eaten at the fishing boat a few times now. This time there was ceviche and fish & chips. I have to say that I have eaten better here. The pieces of fish in the ceviche were too large, so some pieces had to be chewed for an unpleasantly long time. It was also quite blandly seasoned. The fish and chips are with a grain flakes breading. I prefer it more classic but that's a matter of taste. Otherwise the dish wasn't bad. Service is excellent as always at KaDeWe.

The service is very kind and extremely attentive, excellent quality of the products served. if you want to eat fish in Berlin you have to come here. I say this as an Italian who lives in a seaside city, where fish is culture.

Love this place. Lil aperitivo outside with the view and then sit on the bar to watch food beeing prepared. Love the shrimps and the lobster tail! It may get loud sometimes but its the atmosphere fitting for me and service is always great

Had some great meals here pre Covid but sadly prices have increased by a lot, portion sizes have reduced. The food is still great, and I could sit at the counter and watch the chefs prepare the dishes. Very friendly chefs as well. I always come here every time I am in Berlin but with the steep price increase I will probably still come but less regularly - one in two or three trips here.

For well over 20 years - the food department at KaDeWe is unsurpassed. Quality of the food, the nice Berlin service, everything was great! One point for the slightly cooler, modern ambience. I liked the old, slightly cozier one better. But all in all there is nothing to complain about here! Always my pleasure!
