It was a perfect end to our shopping trip at KaDeWe in every respect! Very friendly and attentive service, excellent food, and reasonable value for money. An added bonus is the terrace, which not only offers good food but also a beautiful view. We'd be happy to return!

The food was sensational. We ordered the appetizers from the menu: gambas al ajillo, octopus, and tuna tartare, but the Büsum crab soup was the highlight. How can you make such a sensational soup? Regarding: Service: The waiters were super friendly, attentive, and courteous. Unobtrusive, yet attentive and friendly. Kevin deserves special mention; he anticipated every customer's every need. Kenneth was in no way inferior, delivering the same level of service. We'd love to come back here again! Especially with service like this.

We recently ate at the Fischkutter restaurant at KaDeWe. It was a very pleasant visit! The service was very friendly, and the food was also very good! The kitchen was open, with a bit of a show element. Everything was clean, and the prices were fair, reflecting the quality!

In any case, recommend it absolutely the highlight

When we eat at the fishing boat, we always spend 200 to 300 euros. The food is top quality. But I suspect this restaurant is becoming a snack bar. With prices this high, I'd like a white tablecloth again. And not a rag to wipe my table with beforehand. Celebrities and rich people come here. Maybe the owner should rethink his cost-cutting measures.

We had the Finkenwerder plaice and fish and chips. Both were very tasty, and the portions were filling. The service was first-class and attentive. The wines were also highly recommended. It wasn't cheap, but the prices were reasonable for the context. We were particularly impressed by the lady in charge of the service. Extremely professional, very friendly, and with a level of overview that is rarely found in restaurants. We would be happy to return. Best regards to the entire team.

Today I enjoyed my traditional cod in the fish boat at KaDeWe. Delicious as always! And Mercedes, the friendly barmaid, made my experience even better. It makes a huge difference to be welcomed as a person. After the renovation, the fish boat isn't quite as nice as it was before, just because of the new industrial look. But okay. The quality of the fish and the preparation make all the difference.

For us, this is the fish restaurant in Berlin! Great, fresh fish dishes. Good wine selection. Friendly service. Pricey, but good value for money. We recommend the mixed grill for two. Very fresh baguette with homemade olive oil, which we immediately bought. Sitting on the outdoor terrace in warm weather is a special experience. Thank you, we'd be happy to come back. Update 03.2025: Something different this time, for once. Redfish and cod. Extremely fresh and cooked to perfection. Once again, we were very impressed with the service. We'd be happy to come back.

We're in Berlin every now and then, and the Fischkutter is a must-visit every time! The food is absolutely delicious, from the fish to the sauces to the salad. The wines pair perfectly with the food, and the entire staff is super friendly! Everything just works here.

We had a seafood tower for a lot of money. The oysters were really good, but it was all topped off with half a lobster, half a crawfish tail, and some really good shrimp. But I really don't know what a restaurant that specializes in seafood is doing serving crustaceans on ice and refrigerator-cold. The stuff was dry and tough. A huge disappointment for the money!

Fischkutter at KaDeWe – Fresh from the Sea in the Heart of Berlin With a bit of luck, we snagged a seat – without any waiting time. Even at first glance at the menu, it's clear: This place is all about the highest quality fish. Every dish we tried impressed us with its freshness, flavor, and perfect preparation. Although the service was occasionally visibly busy, it remained friendly and attentive. What's particularly charming is that the chefs also help with serving – this creates a sense of closeness and underlines the special atmosphere of this place. The wine list is manageable but well-curated. Those who like can bring a bottle from the adjacent department for a corkage fee – a great perk for wine lovers. In summer, the small terrace is a real insider tip – a cozy spot with a view over the rooftops surrounding KaDeWe. In conclusion: If you're looking for first-class fish in a relaxed, urban atmosphere, this is the place for you. A culinary highlight in the heart of Berlin – and KaDeWe is always worth a visit anyway.

Ben een fan van de 6e verdieping van KaDeWe. Alles ziet er zeer verzorgd uit en dat geldt zeker voor de vele eetmogelijkheden. Mijn oog viel deze keer op Fischkutter, visspecialiteiten restaurant. Centraal een mooie, ruime bar waaraan gegeten kan worden en rondom tafeltjes. Ruime keuze uit visgerechten, van luxe varianten tot en met fish-and-chips. Heb alles bij elkaar genoten van mijn diner, onder het genot van een heerlijk wijntje. Bediening is zeer vriendelijk en attent.

Auf der Außenterasse hervorragend bedient worden vom sehr freundlichen KADEWE-eigenen Personal (Fischkutter ist wie Austernbar und Hummer & Ochse noch vom KADEWE selbst) Das Essen war wie immer hervorragend und sehr zubereitet worden. Manche Kommentare kann ich nicht nachvollziehen dass die Preise zu hoch sind - gemessen an der Qualität passt der Preis absolut und die Rohware Fisch einfach teuer geworden. Das merkt man dann besonders an der Seezunge - aber es gibt auch Gerichte für 20 Euro. Die Terasse ist bei Abendsonne sehr schön mit Blick über Berlin.

The service and the food 🥘 can only be recommended

I have rarely been so disappointed. We were at KaDeWe today and wanted to eat in the Fischotter restaurant - full of anticipation because the atmosphere looked really promising. It was busy, which is completely understandable. But the treatment of the guests was simply disrespectful. We stood in line for a long time and were completely ignored by the manager - a man in a dark blue suit, blonde hair slicked back. No eye contact, no explanation, no assessment of the waiting time. Other guests even kindly pointed out to him that there were a lot of people waiting and no one could find their way around. But he simply brushed it off as if it wasn't his problem. When we finally asked politely whether it would be our turn soon, we only received the short and unfriendly answer: “You don’t have to eat here.” We were so irritated that we asked whether we had really understood that correctly - whereupon he repeated it almost to the letter and in a much louder tone. It was so loud that surrounding guests also sat up and gave us understanding looks. This behavior was not only unprofessional, but downright condescending. We didn't feel like guests, but like disruptors. It's a real shame - our visit to KaDeWe was completely ruined. From a restaurant in a place like this you expect respect, service and a minimum of politeness. Unfortunately, all of that was completely missing here.

We go to the fishing boat very often and love the atmosphere and the very good, freshly caught fish.

I made reservations for three people this evening three weeks ago. I just received a call telling me that there is an evening event taking place this evening and that I should look for another restaurant. I find this to be a very unkind act.

A chilled-out sixth floor at KaDeWe with a variety of culinary delights. The Fischkutter offers a wide range of fish, from delicious crustaceans to Finkenwerder plaice. Of course, the matching wines round out the whole experience. I'll definitely be back.

Seafood salad very tasty. Corner table was an advantage and it was a Saturday afternoon and therefore a bit noisy. We'd love to come back because we were able to enjoy everything in peace despite the noise.

A real highlight for fish lovers! I ordered a whole sea bass with homemade salad at Fischkutter in KaDeWe for €33 – and it was absolutely worth it. The fish was fresh, perfectly prepared and tasted excellent. As a starter I had the oven crabs, which were also very tasty. Particularly noteworthy is the attentive and friendly service - the service was always present without being intrusive. Overall, a great experience for anyone who wants to enjoy high quality fish in a pleasant atmosphere.

We had an extremely friendly waitress who checked on us regularly, provided us with additional baguettes and seemed very attentive. The food, in this case a salmon, with the accompanying sauce and a small salad, wasn't a special offer but was worth it.

The food was very tasty. Unfortunately, the table and bench were a bit unclean and crumbly and the service was sometimes unfriendly.
