The American-style Finer is located near the train station and looks unassuming from the outside. But inside, you'll experience the interior design of a typical American diner, which is visually very nicely designed. The menu offers a variety of burgers, finger food, and typical American imported drinks like Dr. Pepper or root beer (non-alcoholic soda), as well as local beers. The restrooms are clean, the service is friendly, and the food is quick. The group we were with comes back every year. Our family found the drive too far, and unfortunately, the value for money wasn't good enough to warrant a return visit, as the burgers didn't really blow us away and the fries were too soggy. But food is, as we all know, a matter of (individual) taste. Maybe we were just unlucky that day. The others in the group enjoyed it, though, and they'll be back again and again. With that in mind, try it for yourself and decide based on your own experience.

Now, let's take a look at it in order!!!!!!! The premises were very clean and well-maintained. The service team was very friendly and attentive. The menu was very well-structured. The salad was delicious and fresh!! The dishes were beautifully presented (and not all slapped onto one plate). Everything was served separately. A special feature: you could hear the schnitzel cooking, because it was freshly plated, so the produce was fresh. The high number of visitors on a weekday demonstrates the quality of the GFV Clubhouse Restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised and can recommend the restaurant. The price-performance ratio is excellent.

Beautiful beer garden, food was delicious and the staff was super friendly

We celebrated our wedding on August 16, 2025, at the Germersheim town hall. The food was prepared by Mr. Gegg's team from the town restaurant. The food was delicious; our guests were all thrilled. The team was very friendly and accommodating. We were absolutely thrilled with the entire day and received only positive feedback from all of our guests. We've had the pleasure of attending a celebration hosted by Mr. Gegg several times. We've always been positively impressed by the food and the ambiance. He's also very friendly and accommodated us in every way. He played a huge role in making this special day go so smoothly. Many thanks again to the entire team; I would do it again in a heartbeat.
