FRÜH "Em Tattersall" in Köln

We ate here today, unfortunately, and it was very disappointing. We sat outside on the terrace. After waiting 15 minutes, we called to see if a waiter could come. The young man was unfortunately very unfriendly. We ordered two schnitzels with fried eggs and salad (Tattersall crust). We were able to pick through the salad and remove the old leaves. The schnitzel was unfortunately completely unpalatable. We had a Kölsch and a Coke beer, both without a beer crown, and it tasted very stale. We won't be coming back, which is a shame; it used to be great.

A great place. I've always had the same waiter...a very nice person. Even with children, it's a place where you can enjoy a relaxing coffee after dinner.

A Cologne institution with friendly and welcoming staff! We felt completely at home, the Kölsch was just the right temperature, and "Himmel un Äd" (a German beer) was plentiful and delicious!

A lovely spot, entirely in Cologne style. The large covered outdoor terrace with views over the Cologne racecourse makes it worth a visit at any time.

First of all: I know how a Cologne barman "ticks," but ordering several times and then sitting in the brewery (!) for almost 40 minutes without a Kölsch is borderline.

Great service from the waitresses on hand. The menu is relatively extensive, so there's something for everyone. The food is average.

We were waiting in front of the restaurant for the concert entrance and they let us use the restroom even though the restaurant was closed!

Unfortunately, the quality is declining more and more... both in terms of food and service. I worked here over 30 years ago as a young man, and I hardly recognize any of the charm of this Cologne-style restaurant right next to the racecourse.

As always, the food was excellent and plentiful. The waitress was super friendly, helpful, and efficient.

A beer garden just like you'd imagine it to be. Sun, shade, delicious food, and Kölsch beer.

The restaurant is large, and the nice thing is that you can also sit outside, but everything is covered, so you stay dry. The food was okay. The waiter was quick, funny, and thoughtful. The kids could play around it and run up to the racetrack (there were no races that day, so it wasn't a problem).

Yes, I recommend it. We've been coming here for years for our traditional Harley-Davidson get-together. We often have up to 20 people or more, and we're always well-fed. Of course, we don't drink beer all the time... We want to get home safe and sound, so after the second Kölsch at the latest, we have a proper meal, followed by non-alcoholic drinks... It works out great. Thanks to the always cheerful team. We always think it's great that our visitors can park our bikes in the beer garden. Thanks for that. You should definitely make a reservation for groups. This is advisable, as there should be enough staff on hand. The best way to do this is via the Früh website!

The food was delicious, portions were decent. The waiter was simply fantastic. I've rarely met such a friendly and witty person. The drinks and food were served quickly, even though the place was packed. The menu ranged from traditional brewery fare to regular meals.

Very nice Cologne brewery, delicious food, delicious Kölsch (they only mess around with the "Decksack" 🙄), very nice beer garden! The Früh-Sauerbraten was by far the tastiest in all of Cologne in my test (!😉)...! 😋😋😋 Service/Köbes... always a quick joke... ever flück...! ☺️

The weekly menu is very good, especially the potato pancakes on Mondays. Unfortunately, they weren't available at lunchtime for the last two Mondays, but much later. It's a shame, we were really looking forward to it. But otherwise, the food is super delicious.

Top-class, where you can choose between self-service or table service. A truly successful brewery with a huge, beautiful beer garden. The waiters are great. The ambiance is fantastic, and there's no road nearby, so it's wonderfully quiet, with the atmosphere of the racetrack all around. It's fun to drink a beer there. The food is upscale brewery fare, and the prices are a bit higher than average.

Oh. Really nice. The waitresses are on the ball. A pleasant atmosphere at the racetrack for sipping a delicious Kölsch beer.

Shortly after a day of racing at the racecourse, it still looked a bit "destroyed," and the very busy staff had a hard time getting things back in order. But that's exactly what they got. No long waits to be expected—quite the opposite. Our waiter's smile created a relaxed atmosphere, and we were rarely served better or faster over the next few hours than here. The food was excellent, and the drinks were perfectly chilled and perfectly poured. A full five stars, and we'll certainly be back soon.

Unfortunately, the service was very bad... you pointed out the dirty menus to the waiter... he said he didn't have time... turned around and left... you waited an hour for some fries/fried potatoes.... the drink was okay, but the food was not recommended... the price/performance ratio was overpriced.

Father's Day flea market at the racecourse... What a lovely event. Of course, you also want to be pampered with culinary delights. However, the Tattersall's kitchen was an absolute disaster. - I don't normally rate colleagues, but the food served was so terrible that it even warrants a report to the city vet. Currywurst with fries and mayonnaise. What could you possibly do wrong with that? Actually, everything! The sausage smelled strong and was fermented. So ancient. The curry sauce was just warmed, unfortunately lumpy, sugary-sweet spiced ketchup with curry powder sprinkled on top. The fries were okay. The crowning glory of the whole thing was the crumbly mayonnaise. It was so old that the oil in the mayonnaise had been completely absorbed by the thickening agent and could no longer be transferred from the bucket with the pump dispenser onto the plate. This was then spooned onto the plate and had the consistency of cottage cheese. All in all, inedible.

This is what you imagine a brewery to be. We'd love to come back.

You have to like it. It's very large, and it echoes a lot. The more people there, the louder it gets. The food is good, and the service is friendly, attentive, and helpful. The restrooms are on the restaurant level. If you sit on the terrace, you should bring something warm, because it gets quite drafty in the evenings.

Dicke Bohnen mit Speck bestellt. Der Speck war dünn geschnitten und schon ausgetrocknet, ein Zeichen dafür daß er schon zu lange warm gehalten wurde. Die Reibekuchen waren sehr dunkel, dünn und das Fett hat man nicht abtropfen lassen.

Today the four of us had dinner in this so-called “Magnificent Beer Garden”. No trace of grandeur found, unkempt tables and chairs. The “ambience” was certainly on the racetrack today, but there was no trace of it in this beer garden. In any case, we waited in vain for a waiter who would offer us a menu. So we got these from the slightly higher and more crowded part of the beer garden. When no one showed up to take an order, one of us went to the waiter upstairs to place our order. We have never experienced so much arrogance in one person. When asked where we could place our order, he replied: "In the back" and the question "Where in the back" was followed by another "In the back". Until my husband realized what this person meant by "back", a small switch in the lower part, right at the back and around the corner. So much decadence in one person who is ultimately employed to serve. Nowhere is there any indication that in the lower part only self-service on paper plates and disposable cutlery is recommended. Unfortunately, the schnitzel that my husband ordered, among other things, was half raw, the cola was stale and non-carbonated. Even a free schnitzel didn't help overcome this overall disappointing experience. A decadent restaurant that makes the guest feel inferior. We won't visit this place again,

We really liked it here. The atmosphere is very nice, located directly at the racecourse. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly and attentive.

Das Steak mit Pommes und Kräuterbutter war mit 23,20 wesentlich zu teuer. Das Steak war relativ dünn, keine Zwiebel dabei. Das werde ich mir nie mehr bestellen.

We are thrilled, it was really delicious! Goulash soup first and then potato pancakes with salmon (always on Mondays) and vegan fried potato dumplings with vegetables! It's great that you offer a vegan dish, we'll be happy to come back :)

Hello guys, the GS riders meet there every month, but anyone can come to the regulars' table from any brand, we are not a club, we only meet with people who like to ride motorcycles, and meet there to talk, and go on a tour together, to experience the beautiful hobby together and have a lot of fun and spend the time, every 3rd Thursday from 7:00 p.m. in the Tatasall at the horse racing track, VG Heinz PS maybe we'll see each other then! 🤗👌🍀🏍️⛅☀️✌️for our shared hobby!

The FRÜH "Em Tattersall" is an institution in Cologne. Whether there's a horse race going on or you just want to enjoy the sun in the beer garden... the consistently excellent brewery cuisine and the delicious, perfectly chilled Früh Kölsch make this restaurant a fantastic experience! 👍🏻

Noble equestrian atmosphere is very inviting. Rustic, cozy atmosphere to feel good, combined with Rhenish and international delicacies from the kitchen and a freshly tapped Kölsch or a glass of wine, make the evening here a success.

My recommendation! A ray of hope in the culinary desert of the north of Cologne (o.k the Bulgogi house is also very good). Food (in Tattersall) almost always tastes good (there was only one exception, it can happen) Very nice atmosphere, especially a great terrace. Not really cheap but fair for a Cologne brewery. In my opinion, Tattersall is overall “nicer” than the other “early” locations. Hardly any tourists ;-) Köbes/Service: professional, friendly and extremely quick. Numerous free parking spaces; Public transport and horses also nearby.

Super nice staff and also very welcoming to each other. My real Wienerschnitzel with hunter's sauce and fried potatoes was also well made, everything was freshly prepared and well seasoned. The beer could have been a little quicker, but overall it was a pleasant evening. Wor joot☺️

Unfortunately, I have to say that the food in the Tatterstall is quite expensive and the portions are always smaller. Unfortunately everything is served completely carelessly. As an example, the cream herring, a (!) small herring with a handful of potatoes that taste like water, all popped onto the plate without any decoration. Schnitzel or fried eggs of similar quality. By the way, the other guests at my table had the same opinion. Brauhaus food is different. The waiters, however, are nice and attentive. Conclusion: I'll be happy to come back to drink, but you won't eat anything here anymore.

Absolutely not recommended for major events such as big birthdays or anniversaries. Lousy service from Früh Brewery! My mother booked a room for 60 people for May and specifically pointed out accessibility when making the request. The hippodrome was booked early, which can only be reached via stairs and was therefore out of the question. The terrace was then offered as an alternative. But the fixed price for the brunch of €39.00 per person wouldn't apply; they wanted to suddenly have over €60.00 per person, which my mother can't pay. I have rarely experienced anything so dubious. Ok for a restaurant visit but not more. Service was courteous. Food (I had beef goulash with noodles) was rather mediocre.

Were at the 1st carnival meeting yesterday Except for a few suggestions, it was really great 1) the first speaker (an early employee) Please, a lecture like this can be rehearsed much better in advance ☹️ 2) At first it was very cold (some heaters weren't on 3) Perhaps a children's dance group would also be good for the event as suggestions 4) The performance of a Red Sparks Department was funny but too long 5) the service and all the employees were super great 👍 😊 Definitely coming back next year Price performance top

We arrived at the Tattersaal today hungry and full of expectations! We ordered a Viennese veal schnitzel for €24.80 and kale with Mettwurst for €14! Unfortunately, when the plates came quickly, we discovered that the kale was cold! The Köbes took it again and after a few minutes a new, hot plate arrived! It can happen sometimes. But what I found disgraceful was that the two veal schnitzels were neither panned in butter nor had a crispy breading! The schnitzels were obviously fried and drowned in frying fat. The taste was zero - every chip shop does it better. And to charge €24.80 for something so lifeless is really a disgrace! What a shame, we are very disappointed! There are much better breweries in Kölle!

We celebrated a wedding in the Tattersaal. The food was great. The loving preparation and the setting were excellent. And no matter what wishes you had and what help you needed, everything was done for us. The team is approachable and extremely friendly. Seldom experienced so great. We will celebrate many family celebrations here. 6 out of 5 possible points. THANKS

I just like the racing atmosphere. The food was very good. I would prefer it a little spicier, but my ladies prefer it the way it is served there. This is the modern trend. The service was attentive and very nice. The prices are good Cologne average. The menu also has smaller dishes for under €10. We liked it a lot. - Oh, yes, you can easily go there by car. There's plenty of free parking, er, if it's not race day.

We had the veal schnitzel twice, fries were definitely warmed up and full of fat just like the schnitzel. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the quality in the Früh breweries is decreasing more and more! It used to be better.

We sat outside in the beautiful weather and enjoyed the ambience of the Weidenpesch racetrack with Kölsch and Himmel un Ääd. I can only warmly recommend it, whether indoors or outdoors.

The occasion was a meeting of former colleagues. The location was great, airy outside and protected from the sun. The food was the opposite, schnitzel tws, with burnt breading and unseasoned, fried potatoes served with too much fat. The other food looked better. The service was à la “Köpes” Too bad

Very nice location and nice service. The food was delicious, but the portions were a joke. When the pans came, we thought they were kidding us. And for 23€... no, delicious, yes, but we don't want children's plates for that price either. Otherwise everything was great - our female waiter was great, attentive and cheerful/friendly.

Nice place to linger, you can either sit under the roof with service or under the shady old trees in the beer garden with self-service. It's definitely worth it!

A restaurant to fall in love with and recommend. Today I was out in Weidenpesch for a long time and then at the end of the day in Tattersall. About the food: You can argue about Kölsch one way or another, but you can't argue about the tarte flambée, which was really tasty and quite big. Full marks here! The service: The waiter was super nice and always had a quick saying on his lips. I thought it was great, five stars for that. The ambience of Tattersall is quaint but very, very beautiful. Paired with the Cologne flair, the restaurant is really an absolute recommendation - 5/5. All in all 5 stars for everything. Always happy to be there!

Rustic food with freshly tapped Kölsch or Fassbrause. Schnitzel with fries was very tasty, a small salad with it would have been nice.

Clearly ABOVE “Brauhaus level”!!! Courteous, attentive Köbesse (“our” Mr. Schuster = absolute top class). There is “genius” Kölsch here; freshly tapped, fragrant, aromatic and hearty in taste at a very fair price. The "Monday" potato pancakes are really very tasty and crispy. The "Halve Hahn" was OK; cheese was good, Röggelchen unfortunately weren't very crispy. The apple strudel with vanilla sauce was extremely tasty." PS: The chairs inside are not very comfortable.
