FRÜH "Em Tattersall" in Köln

The FRÜH "Em Tattersall" is an institution in Cologne. Whether there's a horse race going on or you just want to enjoy the sun in the beer garden... the consistently excellent brewery cuisine and the delicious, perfectly chilled Früh Kölsch make this restaurant a fantastic experience! 👍🏻

My recommendation! A ray of hope in the culinary desert of the north of Cologne (o.k the Bulgogi house is also very good). Food (in Tattersall) almost always tastes good (there was only one exception, it can happen) Very nice atmosphere, especially a great terrace. Not really cheap but fair for a Cologne brewery. In my opinion, Tattersall is overall “nicer” than the other “early” locations. Hardly any tourists ;-) Köbes/Service: professional, friendly and extremely quick. Numerous free parking spaces; Public transport and horses also nearby.

Noble equestrian atmosphere is very inviting. Rustic, cozy atmosphere to feel good, combined with Rhenish and international delicacies from the kitchen and a freshly tapped Kölsch or a glass of wine, make the evening here a success.

Super nice staff and also very welcoming to each other. My real Wienerschnitzel with hunter's sauce and fried potatoes was also well made, everything was freshly prepared and well seasoned. The beer could have been a little quicker, but overall it was a pleasant evening. Wor joot☺️

Absolutely not recommended for major events such as big birthdays or anniversaries. Lousy service from Früh Brewery! My mother booked a room for 60 people for May and specifically pointed out accessibility when making the request. The hippodrome was booked early, which can only be reached via stairs and was therefore out of the question. The terrace was then offered as an alternative. But the fixed price for the brunch of €39.00 per person wouldn't apply; they wanted to suddenly have over €60.00 per person, which my mother can't pay. I have rarely experienced anything so dubious. Ok for a restaurant visit but not more. Service was courteous. Food (I had beef goulash with noodles) was rather mediocre.

Unfortunately, I have to say that the food in the Tatterstall is quite expensive and the portions are always smaller. Unfortunately everything is served completely carelessly. As an example, the cream herring, a (!) small herring with a handful of potatoes that taste like water, all popped onto the plate without any decoration. Schnitzel or fried eggs of similar quality. By the way, the other guests at my table had the same opinion. Brauhaus food is different. The waiters, however, are nice and attentive. Conclusion: I'll be happy to come back to drink, but you won't eat anything here anymore.

Were at the 1st carnival meeting yesterday Except for a few suggestions, it was really great 1) the first speaker (an early employee) Please, a lecture like this can be rehearsed much better in advance ☹️ 2) At first it was very cold (some heaters weren't on 3) Perhaps a children's dance group would also be good for the event as suggestions 4) The performance of a Red Sparks Department was funny but too long 5) the service and all the employees were super great 👍 😊 Definitely coming back next year Price performance top

We arrived at the Tattersaal today hungry and full of expectations! We ordered a Viennese veal schnitzel for €24.80 and kale with Mettwurst for €14! Unfortunately, when the plates came quickly, we discovered that the kale was cold! The Köbes took it again and after a few minutes a new, hot plate arrived! It can happen sometimes. But what I found disgraceful was that the two veal schnitzels were neither panned in butter nor had a crispy breading! The schnitzels were obviously fried and drowned in frying fat. The taste was zero - every chip shop does it better. And to charge €24.80 for something so lifeless is really a disgrace! What a shame, we are very disappointed! There are much better breweries in Kölle!

We celebrated a wedding in the Tattersaal. The food was great. The loving preparation and the setting were excellent. And no matter what wishes you had and what help you needed, everything was done for us. The team is approachable and extremely friendly. Seldom experienced so great. We will celebrate many family celebrations here. 6 out of 5 possible points. THANKS

I just like the racing atmosphere. The food was very good. I would prefer it a little spicier, but my ladies prefer it the way it is served there. This is the modern trend. The service was attentive and very nice. The prices are good Cologne average. The menu also has smaller dishes for under €10. We liked it a lot. - Oh, yes, you can easily go there by car. There's plenty of free parking, er, if it's not race day.

We had the veal schnitzel twice, fries were definitely warmed up and full of fat just like the schnitzel. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the quality in the Früh breweries is decreasing more and more! It used to be better.

We sat outside in the beautiful weather and enjoyed the ambience of the Weidenpesch racetrack with Kölsch and Himmel un Ääd. I can only warmly recommend it, whether indoors or outdoors.

The occasion was a meeting of former colleagues. The location was great, airy outside and protected from the sun. The food was the opposite, schnitzel tws, with burnt breading and unseasoned, fried potatoes served with too much fat. The other food looked better. The service was à la “Köpes” Too bad

Very nice location and nice service. The food was delicious, but the portions were a joke. When the pans came, we thought they were kidding us. And for 23€... no, delicious, yes, but we don't want children's plates for that price either. Otherwise everything was great - our female waiter was great, attentive and cheerful/friendly.

Nice place to linger, you can either sit under the roof with service or under the shady old trees in the beer garden with self-service. It's definitely worth it!

A restaurant to fall in love with and recommend. Today I was out in Weidenpesch for a long time and then at the end of the day in Tattersall. About the food: You can argue about Kölsch one way or another, but you can't argue about the tarte flambée, which was really tasty and quite big. Full marks here! The service: The waiter was super nice and always had a quick saying on his lips. I thought it was great, five stars for that. The ambience of Tattersall is quaint but very, very beautiful. Paired with the Cologne flair, the restaurant is really an absolute recommendation - 5/5. All in all 5 stars for everything. Always happy to be there!

Rustic food with freshly tapped Kölsch or Fassbrause. Schnitzel with fries was very tasty, a small salad with it would have been nice.

Easily accessible restaurant with on-site parking. There is a self-service and a service area. There were three of us in the service area. We enjoyed the food, the selection on the menu was ok, orders came quickly. We will be back!

Clearly ABOVE “Brauhaus level”!!! Courteous, attentive Köbesse (“our” Mr. Schuster = absolute top class). There is “genius” Kölsch here; freshly tapped, fragrant, aromatic and hearty in taste at a very fair price. The "Monday" potato pancakes are really very tasty and crispy. The "Halve Hahn" was OK; cheese was good, Röggelchen unfortunately weren't very crispy. The apple strudel with vanilla sauce was extremely tasty." PS: The chairs inside are not very comfortable.

A pity! - This word accurately describes our visit. There used to be a lot more on offer here, but unfortunately it's not recommended at the moment! The food came very quickly, but one star for that. However: The baked potato was only lukewarm and the chicken breast strips that came with it had been out for a while, which was reflected in the consistency (harder and tough) and the taste. The fried potatoes were not completely cooked through and too oily. The pork knuckle was very dry. The dumplings were also very dry and not seasoned well. The wrong tarte flambée (vegetarian and not Alsatian style) was served - OK, no problem, it can happen. Alsatian style tarte flambée was delivered later. However, it is not appropriate to then charge for the more expensive vegetarian tarte flambée. In summary: Maybe you can enjoy a delicious Kölsch here, but this restaurant is not suitable for eating.

Chaotic personnel planning and poor organization during a European Championship game? Em Tattersall: YES! Apparently nothing was learned from the disaster of the opening game. Queue for drinks for over an hour, only two drink stations open. Then do the same thing again to get the glass deposit back?! Instead of the Köbese joking with the guests in the restaurant area, perhaps pragmatically just send them off with double wreaths and AFGs. In any case, there would have been enough Köbese without guests in the Rwstauramt being disadvantaged. Or put a Köbes with an orderman in the queue so that the minimally rapid ladies at the Süffele stand only have to buy drinks. So the guests are happy and in the end the host is happy too. But that would probably be too simple and too customer-oriented... What a shame! The salad with chicken for €15 was ridiculous, the currywurst was dripping with fat and had far too little sauce. Only the fries were okay. After today, I cannot and will not judge in the future whether a visit to the restaurant is more worthwhile.

Great atmosphere, super friendly service Mr. U. Really in a good mood and always with a nice saying! Very tasty food and drinks. Dessert apple strudel is a hit! Quick preparation even though all tables were occupied. Moderate prices and clean sanitary facilities. Plenty of parking spaces available. Gladly again 👍

We were there at 4 p.m., on the covered terrace. Reserved a day in advance via phone, it worked great, friendly staff member on the phone. Today we were warmly welcomed by the friendly Köbesen people and we were also offered a second table because the world was about to end due to the rain in Cologne. But we all stayed dry because the side walls on the terrace were even lowered. We ate two delicious salads with strips of turkey breast, they were fresh and the portions were reasonable. There were also incredibly tasty fries, they were so tasty that we immediately ordered another portion. So we had two large salads in total, we drank 5 Cola 0.2 and two fries together we paid almost €60. Of course it's a little more expensive than the next McDonald's, but good service and delicious food have their price and the employees also want to be paid. So all in all it was a successful afternoon thanks to the team, we felt comfortable.

A brewery with an ambience that you have to like, I personally like it. Kölsch. Our Köbes was great, I only gave it 4 stars but it also deserves 5. The food, how should I put it, it's okay, average, nothing special, but I only had a Jägerschnitzel which was, as I said, quite okay. Unfortunately, the portions are quite tiny for adults, I had to order more mead morsels and even then the Becker unfortunately earned more than the butcher. Perfect for children and older audiences, far too little for me. A little tip to the operator, if you only want to earn money from Kölsch, I understand that, it's a brewery, but then write Kölsche tappas on the card 🤣

Family celebration on Monday July 1st. We have rarely experienced such great service. Köbe's Walter Klausner was very attentive, quick, caring and always cheered us up with nice comments. Thank you!

Contergan NRW has booked a reservation, unfortunately we would have to leave 4 or 5 hours later. I don't understand.

It concerns the self-service beer menu. Drinks and food must be paid for and picked up at the counter. Was there twice for the European Championship games. It was really very full, so I understand if it took longer. There are 2 places where you can get drinks. But standing in line for drinks for 50 minutes is not acceptable at all. Output really not fast. It will be tapped when ordered. Apparently Früh doesn't want to make any sales. Friends got drinks at Kosk. That went faster... That changes early...

Very unfriendly service just because it's playing public rewiv so I wouldn't recommend it just because everything was full there was no room at the tables just rude

Overall okay. Price performance is really written down. A glass of Cola (0.2l with lots of ice) costs €3.80. For two veal schnitzels (the size of a hand) and 6 “boiled potatoes” 22€. But at least the waiter was fair enough to advise against the sauce that we wanted to add because “the portion is ridiculous for the price”. In response to the answer: That makes things very cheeky since we all paid €3.80 per 0.2l

Ordered minced steak with fried potatoes, onions and fried egg. The steak was the size of a meatball and had a very fine consistency. Unfortunately the taste is more artificial?! The fried potatoes were not fresh. More like it was already prefabricated and warmed up again. Appearance was fine, but not crispy and firm on the inside. The onions were fried onions from the packaging. Not freshly prepared as I expected. A brown sauce was spread across the plate, which I don't know the combination of. The Halve Hahn came without onions and mustard, which we were served upon request. The restaurant was at a maximum of 30% capacity, the service was nice, but not that motivated.

The guy with the pigtail was very unfriendly, he is very cheeky and is not respectful!!! otherwise it's okay

Went there to eat with friends at the fish and gourmet market. Fried potatoes with fried eggs, broad beans with bacon and potatoes looked good, the cheese spaetzle was eaten better in Cologne Kalk in Humboldt.

It has become a popular meeting place for old friends for some time now, service is excellent, food is home-style but tasty, ambience is just like usual in a brewery, nice outdoor terrace in summer, we, a group of about 10 people, always feel very comfortable there.

I liked it. Schnitzel and fries were good, service was great. Attentive and kind. But above all funny.... always a saying on the lips... that's how it has to be. 😊

Local, food and service are top. Prices are okay for the location right next to the racecourse and there is also a huge parking lot. Köbes has a typical Cologne sense of humor.

Very bad-tempered waitress. No hello despite a nice greeting from us. Only an annoyed “the table next to it is still free”. The table we had chosen had not yet been cleared, which probably annoyed the waitress so much that we were not even asked if and what we would like to eat or drink during a waiting period of 30 minutes. A pity! However, it seemed as if the other employees were more committed. However, no one took our order

Very nice location on the racecourse. Large parking lot. Large, covered outdoor seating area. Early brewery with draft beer and simple but very tasty cuisine. Very good and attentive service. Highly recommended.
