Frieseneck in Sankt Peter-Ording

According to Google, they're open until 8:30 pm. I left a message on the answering machine at the listed phone number to make a reservation. There was no response. Then at 5 pm I arrived... and was told they were closing now.

I've been here twice for coffee. The ambiance is a bit off-putting, with a bit too much decoration in an otherwise very austere, functional design. The service was very friendly, the advice was good, and they even served coffee and cake at lunchtime. The cake portions were twice as large as expected, tasted great, and interestingly, even the layered cakes weren't too sweet.

Very friendly service, delicious cakes and pastries with generous portions. The latte macchiato was very tasty and aromatic. I especially appreciated that the mulled wine was served without sugar, allowing you to sweeten it to your own taste – a sign that it's homemade. All in all, I can absolutely recommend this very cozy café and will gladly return.

The cake was absolutely delicious. The server was incredibly efficient and whipped up a drink for my wife that wasn't even on the menu. It was really impressive how quickly, easily, and competently she responded.

We've rarely visited such a good restaurant. Everything was just right here. The food was freshly cooked. You could smell it in the dining room. The clothes were unwearable the next day. But we didn't care. The taste was what mattered.

Seven of us went there for dinner. It was a small but lovely restaurant. All the food was delicious, and everyone enjoyed it. The prices are reasonable. I definitely recommend it!

Very tasty friendly good service

We highly recommend the Frieseneck. We couldn't have spent our last evening of our vacation better. The service was very friendly and attentive—and they even gave us a "tutoring" on the Friesengeist (a German beer). The food was delicious and tastefully presented. We'll definitely be back next year. We're already looking forward to it.

We went there with the whole family; it's a very cozy little restaurant/café. We had a really good dinner there, and it certainly won't be our last time there!

Seven of us arrived spontaneously and still found a spot. The service was excellent; we had two children with us, and they still served fries and currywurst even though they only serve it at lunchtime. We were treated like friends and felt very comfortable there. The food was excellent, and we're considering going back today. Many thanks to the friendly team.

There were five adults and three children in total. When we asked if there was a space available, it was made available without any problems. Our food—rump steak, steak pan, currywurst with fries, tarte flambée, and Labskaus—was delicious; even my granddaughter loved it. Highly recommended

Simply top-notch! ⭐ The service was super friendly 💛, the drinks arrived quickly 🥤⚡, and the food was absolutely amazing 🎯. The price-performance ratio was definitely very good here. No deep fryer, just freshly cooked food. Not comparable to some of the mainstream restaurants, but definitely better. We had: 🐟 Two fish platters with fried potatoes – incredibly delicious! 🥩 Pork medallions with fried potatoes – tender & juicy! 🥔 A baked potato with salmon – fresh & incredibly good! Everything was made with love 💯 and beautifully presented. We've been coming to St. Peter-Ording for 14 years, but we haven't had such a good meal here in a long time! 😋 Frieseneck is now a regular stop on every SPO trip! 🏖️ Big praise to the team 👏 – we felt completely at home and will definitely be back! Wonderful, unparalleled food. A fish platter – so freshly prepared and delicious – that wasn't the last time I ate here during my short vacation. The staff were so friendly and accommodating – dogs were also very welcome here.

We discovered this restaurant by chance during our vacation. We were desperate to eat crab that day and couldn't decide where to go. We spotted the Frieseneck menu and, by extension, the restaurant in the courtyard. We decided to find a spot outside and enjoy two delicious crab dishes. While the seating isn't sheltered from the wind, it's really quiet. Friendly staff rounded off our visit; we were full and delighted!

We were in Sankt Peter Ording today and discovered this lovely restaurant. The lunch menu wasn't very extensive, but it was quite decent and extremely good. We opted for the farmer's breakfast and were very impressed and full. A very lovely restaurant, with excellent service, very friendly, and the food was incredibly delicious. We will be back.

It was very 😋 delicious this lunchtime. I had crab with baked potatoes and quark, my husband had pork medallions. The food came to the table hot and fresh. The service was friendly and also helped fix the table 😅. The cake we took with us was good.

I've been there twice with my girlfriend now, I always ate the fish platter, which is really very good. You are served straight away and the food arrives quickly and hot. The price is just over €60 for two people. I only noticed one thing; A waiter was chewing on the nails behind the counter. Unfortunately that doesn't work at all!! Disgusting

The food was great and all special requests were implemented professionally and friendly. The atmosphere is modern and cozy. There is a lot of light coming into the room through the large windows. We were welcomed and served very friendly.

Nice little restaurant that we visited outside of the peak season in mid/end of March. Very nice staff, first class chef. I ate the rum steak, served in a pan, my wife ate the fish plate (various fish fillets) with crabs (optional) and we both loved it. A culinary dream. The dishes were really worth their price 👍 We'd love to come back.

We actually just wanted something to drink, then we discovered Labskaus on the menu and promptly ordered. The Labskaus was super tasty👍👍👍, that's why the plates in the picture are already empty😭. The ambience is also cozy, that's why we will go here again.

We stopped here to have coffee. It wasn't clear whether it was self-service until a waitress appeared. Cake or tart tasted very good. What you should pay attention to is that only cash payments are accepted and if possible, have enough small notes and change with you, as there is not always enough change if you do not pay together.

During my stay in SPO I was in Frieseneck for the second time. Once I ate plaice and once redfish, the food was deliciously prepared and tasted extremely good! Both times there was a young man in service who was very friendly and attentive and served us very nicely. We felt completely comfortable and give our unreserved recommendation here. I was there for lunch on New Year's Eve and ate pork medallions. They were very tasty and were served in the pan. I had to pay the price from the evening menu, about 25 euros instead of about 15 euros, I think, because of New Year's Eve, so only three stars for the food.

Super tasty, quick service. Very cozy. Dogs allowed, cash payment ONLY!!! No credit or debit card payment possible. This also applies to almost all restaurants in St. Peter-Ording!!

Hello, we had a delicious fish plate and plaice on the first day. Nice service. Top.

I found the staff very friendly and helpful. The only thing I found a bit disappointing was the size of my portion. The apple strudel was very little and a bit tough, but it was tasty. I didn't like the slate plate for serving (for me!) because you scratch over it with the cutlery and if the ice had melted a little more, it would have run down.

Cake and coffee were delicious. Very friendly service, good advice. But no card payment possible!!! We are in the 21st century!

Gemütlicher Aussenbereich, obwohl zentral gelegen ruhig. Wir wurden sehr schnell bedient und auch das Essen wurde in angemessener Zeit serviert. Bodenständige gute Küche.

We ate 1x plaice fillet and 1x plaice whole Finkenwerder style. Food was good and tasty. Ambience is ok, a little too tight. Price performance is acceptable. Staff is nice and helpful
