Really nice food and service, if you're into 50's style American and German food and experience this is the place!

Mega - super tasty and high quality food, great 50s atmosphere. The service is very good, the employees are friendly and accommodating. Absolute recommendation: the homemade onion rings. In addition to the delicious burgers, you can also enjoy XXL hot dogs - all in all, a top restaurant with very good music

Was there at 8:30 p.m. on a Sunday. The website says it's open until 9:30 p.m., the sign outside the door says it's open until 10:00 p.m. Were sent away because they were already closed... If you're already open, you shouldn't send customers away!

The food here used to be much tastier - on our last visit the burgers were somehow just very mediocre. Bread a bit dry, meat poorly seasoned. Additionally, our order was prepared incorrectly; the cheeseburger was without cheese and the other was XXL even though a normal one was ordered. Oh well. We won't be coming back for a while.

Really nice atmosphere of a 50s diner from the USA. The dishes have names that are based on actors or musicians from the time and music from the relevant time is even played. A real experience! And the food is simply top!

Great fast food restaurant. Currently one of the best on the planet and in Bochum. Music and presentation inside Rock Pure. Service is always very attentive and quick... if you want it. Actually deserves more visitors when I see what's going on somewhere else nearby.... . Price - performance fits.

The bacon cheeseburger was quite good - in contrast to the mixed platter (all frozen goods)... almost 18 euros for it is definitely not justified. I couldn't get Wings through my throat. The waiter was even nicer. Conclusion: you can do it - but you don't have to.

We always enjoyed coming here, but not anymore after today. It can always be understaffed on Saturday evening due to sick leave, but the handling of this was subpar. First no waitress came for 30 minutes, then only 4 out of 5 drinks came. The food also came staggered and one dish didn't come at all. After 90 minutes we raised this and the stroppy waitress couldn't muster an apology. When she asked whether we still wanted the food that wasn't brought or not, we asked; how long that would take. She said she didn't know, they had other tables too. Sorry, but the bare minimum after 90 minutes would be to cook the burger immediately. I am speechless about so much incompetence, unprofessionalism and ignorance. As we were paying, she asked us “how we could treat the most hard-working person here.” Understood. I have a lot of sympathy for understaffing and a lack of staff, but that was just a tremendous impudence :)

High expectations were disappointed 😞. The food was okay, there was nothing to complain about. But the service was catastrophic, two people were totally overwhelmed. And cheeky too. For us once and never again!

Unfortunately I haven't been there for a long time, but I was immediately greeted in a very friendly manner and served and had a delicious dinner. Always happy and now more often.

Unfriendly staff, only frozen goods are served and that's how it tastes! Not recommended!!!!

I was very satisfied and had spent a lovely afternoon there with my wife. The food was very fresh and of high quality. I highly recommend it if you are looking for that special feeling when eating a burger.

Unfortunately it took forever for our food to arrive. People who came after us were more likely to be served. I do not understand. No milkshakes or brownies as stated on the menu. I don't think we'll come back. Food was...well. Salt the fries too much

According to the homepage it should be open. There was a sign on site that said it was only open from 5 p.m.

Delicious food with funny service. Only one service person but since it wasn't full everything was fine. Portion and taste really good, prices a little higher but still ok. It's just a shame that some items from the menu were no longer available.

So today I went to eat there again after a long time but I think it has worn off a lot

It didn't look that appealing from the outside on the day we visited, but it's very inviting from the inside. The young waitress was very friendly and served us very quickly. We had a burger with bacon cheese fries and a hot dog with fries. Both impressed us in terms of taste. I deducted one star from the meal for the limited selection of dessert. If in doubt, this could be optimized a little. Price/performance is great and the portion size is also right. See you next time.

So I have to say, I'm thrilled The best schnitzel ever, I haven't had a better one here... The staff is nice and accommodating, the children are allowed to be children here 🤩 we'll definitely be back ^^

The food was super delicious! We had an XXL burger with bacon and one with spicy hollandaise. Bacon super crispy! I always attach great importance to it and all in all it's a great flavor combination. With both burgers. We also had the fries with cheese sauce (unfortunately I can't remember what was included) and they tasted great too. Perfectly seasoned. The service was also super nice, just as you would imagine in a diner. I'll put it this way... a likeable "dude" 😄 If I'm in Bochum again I would eat there again!

The ambience is appealing and modeled on an American diner. The bench seats were very comfortable. The Twister Fries were very crispy, which we liked. The buns were a little too toasted. It's a shame, because the brioche buns from a local bakery were very tasty. Overall, the burger was very tasty and the portion was sufficient. The service was friendly, attentive and quick. All in all 5 stars.

Chic atmosphere and delicious food. Timing is terrible. You can only order drinks after 25 minutes. Burgers arrived 2 out of 3 at some point because unfortunately one was forgotten. Some customers who came after us left before our order was complete.

Was there today with my wife and small son, the atmosphere was very nice 50s-60s diner style, the service was very nice and friendly, the food is priced high, but I think it is justified for the large portions and the taste/quality, I will definitely recommend and visit again 😁

One of my favorite burger shops. But the simple currywurst fries also taste very good there in between. Everyone should try the Marshmello milkshake. The most important thing is the super friendly service. They are always patient and in a good mood.

The atmosphere was nice. It took a little longer for the food to arrive. The food was ok but so overpriced I won't go back. I would hope that a burger around 13 euros would fill me up. We paid almost 40 euros for 2 burgers and 2 portions of fries with dip and 2 cokes. It wasn't worth it and I can't recommend any dish.

Great diner with delicious shakes. You should try the Coke Float (with vanilla ice cream). The burger with grilled pineapple was also top. The service was really very nice. We felt very comfortable.

The food was very tasty and sufficient. Price/performance is right! The ambience is great, very nicely themed, if the waitress wore the right outfit it would be perfect. 😉 The nice waiter was new and you could tell. Drinks were mixed up with other tables, wrong dip to eat and somehow he seems nervous. But these were all just small things that were quickly remedied, but he always had a funny saying and made us laugh. 😋😋

My favorite burger is there. The James Dean Burger is always worth a visit. Some people find the idea bizarre - a burger with jalapeños and peanut butter... I can only recommend it.

American style diner with a great burger menu, ribs, cilli con carne, hot dogs and snack classics. Very tasty and filling. Unfortunately it was not possible to pay by card today.

We visited the diner with several people over two days. First of all, the food is very good, the selection is great and the atmosphere is exceptionally different. On our first visit, the diner was full to capacity and everything was fine. There were a few small things to complain about on the second visit with children, but they were all sorted out. As I said, the food was great and the plates were empty afterwards 🤤 We will visit Franky's Diner more often, and we recommend making a reservation in advance.

We just ate at Franky's for the first time. The food was really, really good and the service was also excellent! The Xxl Burger has it all, but the normal burger is also an absolute filler. The taste is spot on and no bacon or other ingredients were used. The bacon cheese fries were also amazing. The sauce was delicious, the fries were crispy and so was the bacon. Nothing more was possible. The milkshake at the end also a 10/10. The service was the icing on the cake. The man who served the entire diner today was not only very friendly and accommodating, but also always made sure that you could order something directly or was immediately available to answer any questions. We have rarely experienced such a genuinely friendly host! We would like to come again!!! The atmosphere was typically American. Even though it seemed inconspicuous from the outside and a bit strange from the camp at the beginning, we were by no means disappointed in the end 👌

I have no idea what it's like... I just find it unbelievable that it says on the internet that it's open until 10 p.m. and then when you arrive at 8:45 p.m. you're told that it's closed. I think it's a disgrace, especially if you have to travel a long way takes...Then the opening hours on Sunday should be set to 9 p.m. if no more customers come and if any do come then it's too...unbelievable

The diner has a typical American flair and is quite comfortably furnished. The service was great. The choice of food is lavish and typical. The price-performance ratio was definitely right.

Great diner for a delicious burger. The waitress was alone and still routinely rocked the service on a Saturday evening with a full restaurant! The food was great, very fresh and the final milkshake was the cherry on top! Happy to come back!

Very good burgers. However, the waiting time until you are served is very long. However, this is not the fault of the service, as there was clearly a lack of staff.

We were guests here a few days ago and were served courteously. Direct and very attentive service as well as delicious food in a nice atmosphere at fair prices. We were very satisfied. We didn't find the clown in question from a previous review here. The thing with the clown was also in the golden M. Whatever. In any case, we met an extremely friendly owner who made our evening perfect with his hospitality. Thank you and see you next time.

Waren schon öfter im Franky's Diner und werden auch immer wieder kommen weil es hier super Lecker ist, sauber und immer Freundlich. Rund um Top👍🏼😊😊

Leider habe ich in meinem ganzen Leben noch nie so eine eklige Backkartoffel gegessen. Und die Soße dazu, die eine Knoblauchsoße sein sollte,war auch kaum essbar. Zumindest Sitzen kann man dort im Inneren gut aber hingehen werde ich nicht mehr. Ich bin meinem Geld nicht böse;)

Eigentlich ein schöner Laden, leider wurde der reservierte hintere Raum einfach jemand anderes gegeben. Leider wird das Essen nicht zeitgleich gebracht, 15 Personen, der letzte bekam sein Essen als die anderen schon fertig waren, Pommes würden irgend wann mal nach gebracht, als man eigentlich schon fertig war mit essen. Auf 2 Muffins haben wir 1 Stunde gewartet, und die waren nicht gerade gebacken worden. Na ja wenn man keinen Wert auf langwährige Kunden hat, ziehen wir halt weiter.

Top Burger. Muss man erleben! Super. Tolle Burger, sehr reichhaltig.

Amerikanisch Essen in Bochum? Ganz klar: nur bei Franky's Diner! Man bekommt hier nicht nur eine große Auswahl an leckeren Burgern (in jeweils zwei Größen) sondern auch den Ruhrgebietsklassiker CPM (für Nicht-Ruhris: Currywurst, Pommes, Mayo). Gute Getränke- und Shakeauswahl. Bei meinem letzten Besuch war das Schnitzel leider etwas zu dunkel geraten, was dem Geschmack aber nicht geschadet hat. Da das Auge aber mitisst, gab es heute leider nur 3 Sterne. Ansonsten hätte ich 4 Sterne gegeben!

Waren heute zu dritt hier zum Essen und sind Massiv enttäuscht worden. Der Laden selber ist gepflegt und sauber, aber auch nichts besonderes. Das Personal ist freundlich. Aber das wichtigste, dass Essen, war sein Geld absolut nicht Wert. Alle 3 Burger waren kalt, das Bun war knusprig wie ein Brötchen vom Bäcker, dass Patty war Totgebraten, der Salat war extrem Sauer und hat nach Essig geschmeckt. Die Bacon-Cheese Pommes waren ebenfalls kalt und in einer Wässrigen Käsesoße ertränkt und dadurch total matschig. Der Bacon in den Pommes, war eine Scheibe zum Klumpen gebraten oben aufgelegt. Die 3 Cola Getränke hatten allesamt keine Kohlensäure. Und für das Erlebnis haben wir 70 € bezahlt, was ja noch vertretbar wäre, wenn es gut geschmeckt hätte.

War sehr enttäuscht zum wiederholten Mal war das es kalt der Besitzer sollte sich von seinem Personal trennen ! Sind früher jede Woche dort gewesen.

Essen usw ist sehr gut und auch empfehlenswert. Aber was überhaupt nicht zu akzeptieren ist,das ein älterer Männlicher Mitarbeiter seine Handynummer von einer Mitarbeiterin auf die Rechnung schreiben lässt,für meine über 12 Jahre jüngere Tochter..... Sowas geht gar nicht und wird Konsequenzen für ihn haben.......

Tolles Ambiente und eine schöne Karte mit viel Auswahl zu fairen Preisen. Die Milchshakes schmecken im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Läden auch super. Bedienung auch immer sehr freundlich. Klare Empfehlung!

Unser Lieblingsdiner schon bereits seit Jahren…. Dort gibt es die besten Burger, sowie ein gemütliches Ambiente. Nicht umsonst treffen sich dort regelmäßig die US Car Freunde aus der Umgebung….

Die umliegenden Burgerschmieden können einpacken, wenn ich die Wahl hab geh ich hierher. Von außen eher etwas unscheinbarenr, von innen aber American Diner wie man es sich vorstellt.

Essen war super lecker. Preislich ist es in Ordnung. Ambiente ist so schön eingerichtet, lediglich reichen danach die Klamotten etwas nach Frittenbude. Wer darüber hinwegsehen kann ist super aufgehoben!

Ein von außen unscheinbarer Laden. Innen im Stil amerikanischer Diner eingerichtet. Das Lokal war sauber, die Bedienung freundlich. Es dauerte etwas länger, bis das Essen auf dem Tisch stand. Das Warten hat sich jedoch gelohnt. Die Speisen waren heiß, die Portionen gut bemessen. Geschmacklich gab es nichts auszusetzen, was alle am Tisch ebenso empfunden haben. Preislich nicht günstig aber angemessen. Durchaus einen Besuch wert.

Mal waa anderes als die üblichen bekannten amerikanischen Burger-Läden. Nicht das dortige Einheitsessen und hier hat man noch persönlichen Service in typisch amerikanischem Ambiente!👍

Typisches amerikanisches Diner, sauber, das Personal ist super freundlich und aufgeschlossen. Man bekommt schnell sein Getränk und muss nicht ohne auf sein Essen warten. Gerne wieder :)
