Sofra in Bochum

The restaurant is located in the Bermuda3Eck in Bochum. Depending on the time and day of the week, you should go in to eat because it can be very loud. The food is great and the portions are sufficient. Points are deducted for service. Service was very friendly and relatively quick, but unfortunately some people were more concerned with private entertainment, with other guests, than with the service. It should be possible to at least ask when a drink is empty if you want a new one. Unfortunately, payment by card is only possible with a debit card. No credit card. Good thing we still had cash with us. All in all, recommended

I rate a kebab plate. Visually, the restaurant and the food are top notch. The service was quick and friendly. The price was perhaps 2 euros too expensive but the portion was large. The taste was ok, the meat was juicy, the garlic sauce was tasty but overall there was no punch, both in the meat and in the salad dressing. A little more power and the fifth star comes from me too :)

First time in Bochum with the family! Turkish is always possible, but here we can only recommend everything! Good value for money. The skewers from the grill were great, the service was very friendly and the food came to the table very quickly! Would definitely come back again!

Yesterday I traveled from Nettetal to Bochum to attend a concert at the Matrix. A friend and I wanted to eat something beforehand and decided on Sofra. We had the kebab plate and were thrilled. The portions were huge and the price-performance ratio was reasonable. The staff also gave us a warm welcome. We would be happy to come back next time we visit Bochum.

I've eaten there three times in the last six months and will be there again as a regular guest this year. Great service and very attentive staff who leave no wish unfulfilled for the guest. Compared to many other restaurants, the portions here are very large and you get something on your plate for the price. The meal, including the starter, didn't take long to arrive and tasted very tasty. There is seating both inside and outside, and even heated in winter. Bottom line, I can only recommend Sofra if you want to eat something Turkish in Bermuda.

The two of us had dinner there in the evening. The service was very friendly. The atmosphere is very pleasant. The lamb dish was really tasty, a large portion and served hot (charcoal underneath). You could eat slowly and comfortably. The dish always stayed really nice and warm. We can definitely recommend the lamb dish. However, I was quite disappointed with the kebab bag. It was very small, a little more expensive than elsewhere and not tasty. It was truly one of the smallest kebabs in terms of contents that I have ever eaten. Nevertheless, I can definitely recommend the shop, but definitely not the kebab bag 😉

I had the shop in mind as a good place for a head soup, but after the change of ownership there also seems to have been a change in quality. While the staff is still largely polite, the order arrived incomplete and lukewarm. Furthermore, there seems to be a drain in the outdoor seating area, which is why it smelled like sewage throughout. Understandably more than inappropriate for eating. Furthermore, guests who were behaving much too loudly were not pointed out by the boss after other guests were pointed out. On the contrary, the boss apologized for the inconvenience caused by the loud guests on behalf of the other guests. An impudence that I have rarely experienced before in the catering industry. It's a shame it used to be a beautiful corner of the beautiful Bermuda Triangle.

I just went to this restaurant with my girlfriend to grab a bite to eat. We were also warmly welcomed and assigned to a table. That was the last time we saw staff at our place and we left after 15 minutes without even getting the card!!!! Please avoid the store!

We ate very well in the current Sofra. The staff is very nice and accommodating. Everything fresh and very crunchy. The fries were seasoned well. The kebab meat was only slightly fatty and well seasoned. Salad is also recommended. In summer you can sit outside and look at the Bermuda Triangle. But you can also sit well inside.

Hello, I would like to give you feedback on my order today because unfortunately I was not satisfied. On August 31, 2024 I placed an order that consisted of a kebab special and lentil soup. Unfortunately we had to wait more than 30 minutes, which was significantly longer than expected. Atmosphere inside was also not air conditioned. I also noticed that other guests who arrived after us received their orders earlier. I am disappointed because I did not receive a plausible explanation for the delay. Also, the amount of meat in the kebab was less than expected. My colleague also didn't like the lentil soup. I hope that such incidents can be avoided in the future. There was no compensation either. Never again

Tonight my husband and I were here for our date night. We ate the Adana skewer with yoghurt and what can I say; it was simply delicious. The salad came separately before the meal, which I particularly liked. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. The homemade ayran was absolutely delicious. The staff attentive and friendly. Forever waiting times, almost always getting the wrong order!! You can't eat inside, food always comes after almost an hour and then they bring the wrong thing. Not worth recommending!

There were three of us here. Order taken quickly, food was ready quickly. All three of us were served the meat lukewarm and we thought that was a shame. We were hungry and didn't want to bring it up. Otherwise, the portion was tasty. Our table was immediately next to the entrance grill side and was constantly bothered by small flies that kept flying out of the light shaft (cellar). Totally annoying (maybe put a tarp over it to stop this from happening). There were also a few wasps - but there's nothing you can do about them. After we had eaten, we were asked if we wanted to leave soon as three older ladies were looking for space - well! I was missing the question “whether we enjoyed the food or whether everything was OK” and that’s why there was no. Tip - Sorry! Despite negative points - you can eat very well here.

The food was again super tasty. The portions were plentiful. You can tell that the “dips” are prepared with love. The kebab is not a purchased "meat skewer", but rather homemade. My wife and I always like to come here to eat something delicious.

Hey Sofra team, I've rarely had such a delicious Turkish meal and also received friendly service. All in all great. Price - performance, location, ambience. It was a great evening for a group of about 15-20 people. You also had our large table well under control, no chaos, no stress. .... And above all, delicious!

The meat in the dish “Lamb Ribs” was extremely tough and you couldn’t cut it or chew it in your mouth because it was like chewing gum. So I asked for the bill and said I didn't like the food. THREE different colleagues saw that I had barely touched my plate and neither had the drink and none of them even asked: “Is everything OK? Can we do something for you” - especially since I say “the food doesn’t taste good” and the colleague who cashes me in answers “Ok” - Is it worth losing your customers for 19 euros? I won't be going there anymore and will tell my friends about it too.

We've been here several times and I can't complain at all. The food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, the portions are generous and so far we have had no problems with the staff. We were always warmly welcomed. We were also kindly told that if we wanted more bread we could just let them know. After dinner we always received tea (black, apple or lemon) on the house.

Wir haben heute ehr zufällig das Restaurant im Bermuda Dreieck entdeckt und haben ohne Reservierung direkt einen Tisch bekommen. Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt und wir werden aufjedenfall wieder kommen.

Sehr Gutes türkisches Restaurant

Pommdöner kostet hier 8,00€, was sehr viel ist. Das Dönerfleisch schmeckt sehr intensiv und ist zu fettig. Hähnchenspiess ist die bessere Alternative hier. Die Bedienung ist freundlich.

Wirklich unerwartet aber das essen war super. Lahm sehr zart, Hähnchen saftig und Adanakebab oder köfte Wirklich wie in der Heimat! Perfekt zubereitet und super in Geschmack! Portionen gut

La comida es buena y sabrosa. Tuvimos que pagar en efectivo porque solo aceptan un tipo de tarjeta. No hablan Inglés.

Sehr aufmerksame und nette Bedienung. Die Portionen sind recht großzügig und das Essen ist lecker. Eine Reservierung war am frühen Sonntagabend nicht erforderlich. Wir haben draußen gesessen. Innen fanden wir es nicht so gemütlich- das ist aber Geschmacksache. Wir werden wieder kommen.
