Sofra in Bochum

Mit Abstand der beste Dönerteller, den ich je gegessen habe. Das Fleisch war Knusprig, zart und saftig. Der Reis null trocken und super gewürzt. Die Soßen war fast noch besser. Die scharfe Tomatensauce hatten einen perfekten frisch, fruchtig abgestimmten Geschmack. Die curry sauce eine geile süße. Der Hausgemachte Ayran auch einfach ein 1+. Auch das Ambiente ist Klasse. Wir sind hier am Bermuda Dreieck und draußen mit massiven Holztischen und stühlen eine willkommene Umgebung geschaffen. 10 von 10

Wir bestellten Reis für drei Personen, aber es wurde kein Brot gebracht. Als wir später nach Brot fragten, bekamen wir drei Stück. Ich kann das Restaurant überhaupt nicht empfehlen. Es ist außerdem überteuert. Ich rate dringend davon ab, hierher zu kommen.

Bin hier regelmäßig Gast. Leider überwiegt der Salatanteil beim Dönerteller seit kurzem sehr deutlich den Fleischanteil. Bitte für über 18 Euro das Verhältnis etwas angemessener gestalten.

Schönes Restaurant. Personal nichts auffälliges, normal am Arbeiten. Aber 1.50€ für Ketchup und nochmal 1.50€ für Mayonnaise zu verlangen ist wirklich eine neue Masche. Getränke 4€, sei es eine kleine Uludag oder die 0.33 Cola. 4.50€ für Pommes die sehr klein ist. Essen war nicht schlecht dagegen kann man nicht sagen, aber für zwei Getränke fast dasselbe zu zahlen wie für eine Lahmacun ist wirklich frech.

Habe mit 2 Kindern für 2 mal Lamacun, einmal davon mit Kalbfleisch, der andere nur mit Salat und 1 Pommes mit Mayonnaise 27 € bezahlt. Das ist eindeutig zu teuer. Auf Nachfrage wurde mir erklärt das Fleisch sei Steakqualität. So sah es leider nicht aus und geschmacklich. war es von Steakqualität weit entfernt. Da werden wir nicht mehr hingehen!

Wir sind hier zufällig gelandet, als wir uns mit Freunden im Bermudadreieck getroffen haben. Der gemischte Grillteller war sehr gut, abgesehen von den Köfte, die leider nicht geschmeckt haben. Das restliche Fleisch war wirklich überdurchschnittlich gut, die Pommes waren frisch und knusprig. Etwas anderes muss ich leider zum Hähnchen Dürüm sagen. Das Lavas Brot war viel zu dick. Das Verhältnis zwischen Brot und Inhalt war leider gar nicht gut. Kaum Soße, kaum Salat und im Verhältnis zum Preis sehr wenig Hähnchen. Die Mezze waren dagegen sehr lecker. Sowohl Ezme als auch Humus waren geschmacklich und handwerklich top. Auch das Brot dazu war warm und lecker. Die Portion war klein, für vier Personen hätte man jedoch meines Erachtens zwei Portionen bekommen können. Wir haben eine zweite angefragt und erhalten. Ob es berechnet wurde, kann ich nicht sagen, da ich nicht bezahlt habe. Mein Kollege, ein Dönerliebhaber fand das Dönerfleisch sehr gut!

Das Essen war gut. Der Service war schnell und umsichtig. Preis ist sicher ambitioniert. Der ist den letzten Jahren massiv angestiegen!

Das Essen war sehr lecker, allerdings war der Döneranteil beim Dönerteller sehr gering. Dafür gab es viele Pommes und viel leckeren Salat. Für den doch schon gehobenen Preis, hätte ich deutlich mehr Fleisch erwartet.

Wir waren eigentlich immer sehr gerne Gäste in diesem Restaurant und bisher auch immer zufrieden. Umso enttäuschter sind wir nach unserem heutigen Besuch. Der Service war leider eine absolute Katastrophe. Unser Tisch wurde über lange Zeit nicht abgeräumt, es gab kaum Aufmerksamkeit vom Personal und generell keinerlei Kommunikation. Besonders schockiert hat uns, dass uns für einen extra Spieß einfach 20 € berechnet wurden, ohne dass vorher auch nur ansatzweise darauf hingewiesen wurde. Am Ende haben wir für zwei Personen eine völlig überzogene Rechnung bezahlt und hatten das Gefühl, regelrecht abgezockt worden zu sein. Das Traurigste daran ist, dass man den Laden eigentlich ganz anders kannte. Statt sich um die Gäste und den Service zu kümmern, stand der Chef die meiste Zeit nur herum und hat sich mit anderen Leuten unterhalten. Kein Entgegenkommen, keine Erklärung, keine Entschuldigung. Wirklich schade, dass es so enden muss. Für uns war das leider definitiv der letzte Besuch.

Ich bin zufällig im bermudadreieck-Viertel von Bochum gewandert und war total begeistert von dem leckeren Essen. Türkisches Essen ist ja immer gut, aber das hier war einfach himmlisch. Die Bedienung war sehr zuvorkommend und hat mir bei der Auswahl geholfen. Insgesamt ein super Erlebnis, ich komme gerne wieder.

Ich war sehr enttäuscht. Ich hatte Iskender Kebab bestellt, aber was serviert wurde, sah ganz anders aus als auf der Speisekarte; es war fast komplett mit Dönerbröseln verklebt 👎

Top Top Top... Ich bin aus Dortmund gekommen, um mit meiner Frau und meinem Kind zu Abend zu essen.Alles war phänomenal – das Essen und der hausgemachte Ayran. Anschließend wollten wir ein Stück Baklava probieren, und wir bekamen es geschenkt.

Wer frisch zubereitetes Essen mit super Qualität sucht, ist hier richtig. Das Restaurant verfügt über eine offene, einsehbare, saubere Küche, in der das Essen frisch für euch zubereitet wird. Das Personal ist wirklich immer unfassbar freundlich und aufmerksam. Hier kann man tatsächlich von einem super Service, wie bei der gehobenen Gastronomie sprechen. Wir sind mindestens einmal im Monat hier und essen jedes Mal wieder beyti sarma. Ihr bekommt hier eine große Portion, von der man auf jeden Fall satt wird und es schmeckt einfach unglaublich gut. So gut, dass wir nirgendwo anders mehr beyti essen. Gutes, frisches Essen. Tolles, aufmerksames Personal. Einsehbare Küche. Gemütlicher innen und Außenbereich.

Als ich bezahlte habe ich gesehen wie mein Tisch sauber gemacht wurde.ich bin hier regelmäßig und kann mich nirgendwo beschweren , ob beimservice oder beim Essen die Einrichtung ist auch sehr schön.ich würde hier jedesmal wieder kommen

Wir haben heute Nacht einen Pomm-Döner gekauft. Er war tatsächlich super lecker! Aber den stolzen Preis von 12,5€ pro Box hätten wir gerne vor unserer Bestellung gewusst. Für To-Go Kunden leider nicht ausdrücklich erkennbar gewesen.

Ich hab schon viel Dönerteller gegessen. Ich bin hier auch nur für die Durchreise gewesen. Aber dieser Dönerteller hat mich echt überrascht. Top 3 best Dönerteller die ich je hatte.

The food was mediocre. After the meal, the staff didn't clear the table. You had to stare at them for several minutes and get their attention before anyone came. All acceptable... However, the prices are outrageous. I ordered a doner kebab with feta cheese. They charged an extra €2 for the feta, which wasn't even noticeable on the doner. Mayonnaise and ketchup cost €1.50, and a portion of tzatziki costs between €4 and €6+. The prices are simply outrageous. The explanation "restaurant, not a snack bar" is understandable, but it doesn't justify the exorbitant prices, which are many times higher than what would be reasonable. Other restaurants offer this kind of service for free. Never again.

We've been going to this "restaurant" regularly with a large group for years and have witnessed many changes. These days, the food is outrageously overpriced for the quality. The service is unfortunately poor, and the waiters are inattentive. The ambiance is also uninviting, and it's colder inside than outside because the door is always left open. At least there are patio heaters outside. It's a real shame, but we won't be coming back.

The food is very good; we always try the kebabs and they’re consistently great. Most of the staff are nice ,some we’ve known for a long time and they behave professionally. Some newer staff still need to improve their customer service. There is seating both indoors and outdoors, and in winter the outdoor area is warm. The biggest problem is that in summer, the indoor area becomes really hot because there’s no air conditioning, and if it’s also hot outside, it’s hard to stay for long.

We ate here on a Saturday. The food is okay, but the prices are exorbitant. The worst part, though, was that I was charged €6.50 for a portion of tzatziki to go with my Adana pudding. That's unacceptable. On top of that, it was freezing cold in the restaurant. Absolutely not recommended. Update: We were charged for takeout even though we ate in. Tax fraud!

The food was delicious, but when it came time to pay, firstly I had to wait a long time even though the restaurant was closed, and secondly, I was given an amount (off the top of my head) without being given a receipt.

We were visiting (on vacation) and stumbled upon this place. We work in the restaurant industry ourselves and were very impressed. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food is definitely plentiful. Bread and dips are automatically brought before the meal. The portions are more than generous. We were full and our plates weren't even empty. Highly recommended – a great Turkish restaurant.

So I ate here today and ordered a portion of doner meat for €12; even my daughter wouldn't have been full after that. Besides that, the toilets weren't clean, and there was no toilet paper.

I went there with the kids to eat and we got two doner kebabs. For €8.50, I expect more than 80g or 100g of meat in the doner salad. I could count it, the chicken was dry and came without sauce, and charging €4 for a drink is totally excessive. A small portion of ketchup was charged at an additional €1.50, which is money that goes elsewhere. I'm really disappointed. I understand that prices have gone up, but when I pay €8.50, I'm even willing to pay €10 for a doner kebab, then I expect the contents to be correspondingly good.

I discovered this place for the first time today. The food is really delicious overall. I chose Adana kebab and ayran and was very satisfied. The kebab is served with salad and meze. They also offer freshly baked, warm bread from their own stone oven. After the meal, they even offer complimentary tea. They work very cleanly, and the kitchen is completely open and visible to everyone. The prices are average compared to the rest of the place. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience. If the service staff were a bit friendlier, it would be absolutely perfect.

Avoid this place. They're useless and just rip you off. Zero customer service. You'll be better off just buying a kebab.

We invited family over for dinner. One dish was completely forgotten. We ordered a new one, and they had already finished the first one, and it was the wrong dish. They didn't even offer an apology. The food is also expensive for what's offered.

Sofra Bochum – a culinary masterpiece! The ambiance is pleasant, the appetizers are fresh and bursting with flavor – hummus, ezme, and the like are simply top-notch. For me, the Adana is the best in Bochum, the Ali Nazik and Iskender are divine, and even the doner kebab is gourmet quality. The owner is a true restaurateur – attentive, warm, and always present. Add a good raki or wine, and you'll completely forget you're in Bochum. In short: Anyone who eats here leaves with a smile – and is guaranteed to return.

I haven't had such an excellent meal in a long time. I ordered the grilled meat platter. I initially thought the price was a bit high, but I haven't been this full in a long time. Not recommended. The waiter greeted us extremely rudely right from the start and literally threw the menus in our faces. The restaurant was completely empty, and we received barely any attention. Furthermore, the staff kept arguing with each other, which ruined the atmosphere. I paid €7 for an extra portion of tzatziki…outrageous. The value for money is simply not there! The portions are generous, but the food isn't exactly mind-blowing. The Adana was very greasy. In the end, I paid almost €70 for two people—unbelievable!

We had the mixed grill and beyti sarma with bulgur wheat – both were absolutely delicious! The meat was beautifully tender, juicy, and well-seasoned. The homemade ayran was also delicious. We'd love to come back!

Super good, friendly and very nice

While looking for lunch, we spontaneously stopped by Sofra. The place seems inviting and clean. The food and portion sizes were good, although I'd imagined my lamb ribs to be a bit meatier. But that was my only criticism. They offered three dips and bread on the house beforehand. That's always nice. Inside the restaurant, there's a display of pre-made but still raw skewers being cooked directly on the grill. You can even watch them being cooked. Nice touch. 🙂 The servers were friendly and efficient. I highly recommend Sofra. The price is also unbeatable! 43 euros for two people, and we were more than satisfied. Perfect!

I've eaten at the Sofra restaurant 6-7 times within a year – and I've been absolutely satisfied every time! The waiters are consistently friendly, very attentive, and accommodating to every request. Whether you have questions about the dish or special requests – you simply feel well looked after here. We come all the way from Bottrop and happily drive all the way to the Bermuda Triangle in Bochum just to eat here – that really says it all! The food is excellent, the portions are generous and filling. The prices are absolutely reasonable for the quality. A particularly pleasant feature: you never have to wait long for your food – the service is fast and well-organized. There are also always delicious house appetizers beforehand, such as fresh bread – a lovely touch that perfectly precedes the meal. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting – you can sit both inside and outside. Even in cooler weather, heat lamps outside ensure a cozy time. Payment is also flexible: cash or card, whichever you prefer. One thing is certain: My wife, our family, and I will continue to come to Sofra regularly in the future. A definite recommendation for anyone who appreciates good food, great service, and a harmonious overall package!

The taste was a disaster, hardly seasoned. Fries were soggy and tasted like they had been warmed up. Rice was totally sticky and soggy. The portion was smaller and we forgot our salad. When we asked, they brought us something else. The portion has nothing to do with those in the pictures. The good reviews are hard to understand and the store is also dirty. The garbage is lying around on the floor in a corner.

I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant. I'm still here right now and I'm really disappointed. I ordered Şiştauk with bulgur because I was very hungry. After the first bite, I knew there was something wrong with the bulgur - it was sticky and had a sour, spoiled taste. I tried it a second time and it was clear: the bulgur was spoiled. When the waitress came, I told her that. She just said “ok”, took the plate with her and shortly afterwards brought the same plate back to me – only with rice instead of bulgur. I ate a little because I was hungry, but it was just disgusting. Even now I still have the unpleasant taste of spoiled bulgur in my mouth. Furthermore, the water bottle was not opened in front of me, which is completely unusual and unacceptable. Drinks should always be opened at the table. My husband ordered a meat mix, but the kebab meat was burnt. Overall, it was a very disappointing and unhygienic experience

Very disappointing - never again! I was really shocked at the conditions in this restaurant. There were mice running around - absolutely unhygienic and disgusting! The food was also bad, carelessly prepared and tasted a disaster. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. Health department would be appropriate here!

The restaurant is located in the Bermuda3Eck in Bochum. Depending on the time and day of the week, you should go in to eat because it can be very loud. The food is great and the portions are sufficient. Points are deducted for service. Service was very friendly and relatively quick, but unfortunately some people were more concerned with private entertainment, with other guests, than with the service. It should be possible to at least ask when a drink is empty if you want a new one. Unfortunately, payment by card is only possible with a debit card. No credit card. Good thing we still had cash with us. All in all, recommended

I rate a kebab plate. Visually, the restaurant and the food are top notch. The service was quick and friendly. The price was perhaps 2 euros too expensive but the portion was large. The taste was ok, the meat was juicy, the garlic sauce was tasty but overall there was no punch, both in the meat and in the salad dressing. A little more power and the fifth star comes from me too :)

First time in Bochum with the family! Turkish food is always good, but everything here is highly recommended! Good value for money. The grilled skewers are excellent, the service is very friendly, and the food arrives very quickly! We would definitely come back again!

Yesterday, I traveled from Nettetal to Bochum to attend a concert at the Matrix. A friend and I wanted to grab something to eat beforehand, so we decided on Sofra. We had the doner kebab plate and were thrilled. The portions were huge, and the value for money was excellent. The staff also gave us a warm welcome. We'll be happy to come back next time we're in Bochum.

The two of us had dinner there in the evening. The service was very friendly. The atmosphere is very pleasant. The lamb dish was really tasty, a large portion and served hot (charcoal underneath). You could eat slowly and comfortably. The dish always stayed really nice and warm. We can definitely recommend the lamb dish. However, I was quite disappointed with the kebab bag. It was very small, a little more expensive than elsewhere and not tasty. It was truly one of the smallest kebabs in terms of contents that I have ever eaten. Nevertheless, I can definitely recommend the shop, but definitely not the kebab bag 😉
