Frankfurter Küche in Frankfurt am Main

Siamo a Francoforte per una settimana e oggi era il compleanno di una nostra amica. Decidiamo di festeggiare cenando in un ristorante di cucina tipica tedesca. Scegliamo, forse per caso, questo ristorante, vicino al nostro ostello. Locale piccolo, tranquillo ma accogliente. Personale attento e cortese. Menù vario e tradotto in inglese. (Certo non aspettatevi lo stesso che a casa.) Tornando alla serata, ordiniamo dei piatti tipici; arrivano abbondanti e gustosi. Arrivati al dolce, chiediamo se possibile, di mettere su uno dei dolci le candeline a sorpresa per la nostra amica. Ci dicono che faranno il possibile. Mai ci saremmo aspettati sorpresa più grande: ad un certo punto calano le luci e parte ad alto volume la canzone "happy birthday to you". Lo staff aveva organizzato la sorpresa meglio di noi con un'atmosfera di festa. Non vi dico la sorpresa e anche un po' di imbarazzo. La serata è stata la più bella mai vissuta quì. Grazie mille Frankfurter Küche. Esperienza indimenticabile.

I'm sitting here as we speak, completely full, very good and extensive range of food! Beer still from the old steins. Employees are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Frankfuter küche is located on the corner of the square. Not very big inside but enough tables considering the space. Very wide menu to choose from. Too much to really get everything fresh, I think. What you get to eat is tasty. The service is really nice and simple, but very friendly and with humor.

Very authentic place with a good atmosphere and friendly staff. Rich menu with local food. Very tasty food. Do not come here with a car. No parking totally around. Park your car at any parking places on other streets and walk to the restaurant. If you are a guest in Frankfurt and your accommodation is near (10 min walking) this place, I suggest it as a must be there. Bon appetite!

Fuimos a almorzar aquí. Pedimos la sopa de cebolla francesa para comenzar y luego compartimos un plato de pollo Cordon Bleu y vino con una ensalada de acompañamiento y puré de papas y todo estaba absolutamente delicioso! así que vale la pena.

Super tasty dishes on the menu. The daily menu is particularly noteworthy. Ate schnitzel and herring, both were great. The landlord and the service are very friendly and accommodating. Price-performance ratio absolutely fine. We would love to come back, thank you for the nice service and the delicious food.

A very cozy restaurant with really classic Frankfurt cuisine. We were there for a visit and would be happy to come back at any time. The friendly staff who also bring a bit of humor to the table. Reservation may be required. We were lucky.

Honestly, based on the reviews, I expected much more. The service was correct, but the food disappointed me a bit. The sausages were below average, more precisely, a pure industrial tasteless product. The steak was correct, but the sausages were absolutely tasteless. We expected much more.

Best traditional German cuisine. We ordered two pils, one apfelsaft with Frankfurter plater and schweinshaxe as a group of three. The portion was huge we did not dare to finish all. The food is very good. I personally liked sauerkraut with the mashed potato and pork knuckle. The staff is all very nice. They were kind enough to check on us frequently. Seen some comments on their English communication but I did not have a single struggle with it. Most staff speaks very good english and everyone is willing to assist us. Atmosphere is also very nice. They played some rock band songs in the background and it perfectly matched the local vibes. Coming from whose tastebuds are used to Korean food, I find German food a little bit salty, not only in here but really all the restaurant we've tried in Germany so far. If you feel great with other places in the country you will be just fine. Seems like everyone enjoys their food. Thanks for the amazing experience in Frankfurt.

Delicious food, fair prices and very attentive, fast service

Very friendly staff, good home-style food and especially nice cold beer in a stein. The “Frankfurter Krüstchen” was delicious, but due to the number of calories, I needed a medlar afterwards. But veggies can also find delicious dishes on the menu here.

Haksen is delicious! I also ordered a large beer and it was good. Even though I went late, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was nice. They put a tip screen on the machine when paying, but the food was relatively cheap and they were friendly so I was happy to give it.

A good restaurant with a really kind male waiter. How was helpful when there was a stinging bee nearby us and my daughter was afraid of it. He made a funny comment of him being her personal bodyguard 🤣

Rubber bread for hand cheese. Mushy salad. Tasteless fries. You sit directly on the main street. Service is very nice. The schnitzel with hollandaise is fantastic!

The food is not tasty, the employees are not German, the staff speaks little or no English, the service is long. The choice of beer is not great. The order was mixed up. I won't come a second time.

The store is really good. Sitting outside is a bit noisy because of the main street and the Frankfurt ghetto AMG. Deal with it, or go inside. At around 10:30 p.m. there was something else on the table. Saved my evening. Thanks for that.

The food was absolutely lovely and znd extremely affordable. The servers were extremely helpful despite us not speaking too much German. Definetly a place i would recommend to anybody. It has a very home-like atmosphere inside and in general quite rustic but dont let that tic you off as everything was absolutely delicious.

Vi besøgte restauranten da vi boede på hotel i nærheden, og fandt den på Tripadvisor, og blev ikke skuffede! Super hyggelig og autentisk restaurant med virkelig god atmosfære, virkelig lun og opmærksom tjener. Virkelig lækker og frisklavet mad. Fodbold på fjernsyn under euro 2024 var perfekt. Nem at besøge med børn, kommer vi i nærheden, kommer vi helt sikkert igen;)

Beautiful outdoor area, good value for money and great food.

I visit Frankfurter Küche almost every Monday after a meeting I have near the ECB. They always make space for us. It’s good to make a reservation though. They have the friendliest team there, their food is scrumptious, in the winter I love their dumpling soup with meat broth. Their Schnitzel Cordon bleu is my all time favourite.

Ordered for the first time today. Chili chicken and Frankfurter schnitzel. Both really very good! The chicken is tender and very deliciously seasoned, first fruity, then comes the chili, delicious! The schnitzel is tender, a huge portion of green sauce and fried potatoes, that's a joy! Gladly again!

Crowded shared tables and poor ventilation

While passing through Frankfurt, we wanted to try the local cuisine. This simple restaurant offered us a varied menu and tasty cuisine. The unmistakable sign of quality: the restaurant was crowded with German customers ready to eat typical food in a festive atmosphere. We tried the famous green sauce, very nice with fried potatoes and pieces of beef that were so tender (Grüne Sosse + Tafelspitzwürf) and another dish that was quite nice for lovers of full-bodied cheeses (Handkase Kartoffeln). As a drink, we tried the typical Apfelwein, nothing more. Fair value for money, count 25€/person for a dish + drink.

Quite OK... but not an original, but still the best place to go for lunch

The food was really good and you can choose between German home cooking or Indian delicacies. The service was very friendly as always. We were even lucky to get a table late on Saturday afternoon. Albeit for a limited time. I would recommend reservation.

Wir waren ein paar Tage in Frankfurt und sind hier eingekehrt, weil es in der Nähe unseres Hotel liegt und wir hier die guten Bewertungen gelesen haben. Wir kommen bei unserem nächsten Frankfurt Besuch wieder! Sehr freundliche Bedienung, super Hausmannskost und lockere, sympathische Atmosphäre. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier definitv. Durch Zufall haben wir eine indische Speisekarte gesehen, denn das Restaurant nebenan ist ein indisches Lokal. Man kann auch in der Frankfurter Küche indisch bestellen. Es war sehr lecker!!

Super organized and attentive, even with very large groups. Salad with turkey in honey and sesame is sensational.

Poor food quality ! Felt like and wasn’t just a feeling that every component/ingredient used from starter to the main dish was the cheapest of the cheapest resulting in a salty mess (plenty of salt to try to coverup). Saving some bucks here and there is essential to run a business nowadays but saving too much in the quality of the food in a restaurant? Not wise. Don’t know if this is the establishment proposal, not so reasonable prices for not so reasonable meals. Service was quick and efficient. During the payment the waitress made me feel almost obligated to tip. Money wasted.

The service is very good. The waiters are smiling and will joke and chat with you even if you are a foreigner. The food portions are large and the taste is average, but the atmosphere and service are very good, so if you can’t think of what to eat, give it a try The only drawback is that the restaurant is too hot

Proprio di fronte alla Euro toswer locale semplice con pochi tavoli. Piatti di cucina tedesca preparati da personale che tedesco certo non è e che inonda tutto di improbabili spezie. Birra come in qualunque locale di Francoforte. Conto nella norma.

We are excited. We have now ordered through Lieferando for the third time and are amazed. Everything that is offered tastes delicious. Schnitzel, salad, Indian, cheese spaetzle, all delicious. Delivery time is as stated or even faster. We will probably order more often :-)

The store is awesome. Small (you should reserve) and excellent. Service great, portions to fill you up and the price still in 2023. We were there with 14 people and didn't pay €300 including side dishes, starters and dessert (not for everyone). Absolutely recommended for families with children.

On topic of atmosphere it fully depends on what you're looking for. It's a cosy establishment visited by local people. The food, however, was a reward to my taste buds. Having a nice salad and rump steak with fried unions and fried potatoes. Just as it should be is too less compliment for the kitchen it was a very good steak. Price is standard for the area the restaurant is located. All together a very nice restaurant, good kitchen and nice kind neat service. 👌

After a photo shoot in Ostend on the way to the parking garage, we wanted to grab something to eat and ended up here. What should I write? Absolute recommendation!!! Mega friendly service, the prices were reasonable and we were allowed to take our furry friend in with us. I tipped just under €5. I had a grilled knuckle and even the bones were packed up for the dog!

Wir waren diesmal sehr enttäuscht. Das Essen waren TK-Schnitzel mit Champignons aus der Dose und fertig Bratkartoffeln. Das haben wir vor 2 Jahren noch frisch gegessen! Die Bedienung war aber freundlich. Für Leute die gemütlich und ruhig essen möchten, ist das Restaurant nicht geeignet. Es war sehr laut und voll. Wir saßen im Eingangsbereich und hatten kaum Platz, weil andauernd die Leute, die rein kamen, hinter uns standen. Müssen so schnell nicht noch einmal dorthin.

Le repas était délicieux, des assiettes extrêmement remplie. Le service impeccable, les serveurs sont au petit soin.

Leckeres Essen, sowohl indisch als auch deutsch. Frische Salate, schön angemacht. Sehr aufmerksamer und kinderfreundlicher Service. Wir haben ohne Reservierung einen Tisch für 9 Personen bekommen. Alle waren satt und zufrieden. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Unfassbar nette Servicekraft, ihm würde ich 10 Sterne geben! Das Essen war mega lecker. Wir hatten Vorsuppe und Schnitzel. Beides war sehr gut. Klare Empfehlung!
