Villa Ilske was a magical place for our short break in the Saale Valley. A pleasant and relaxing atmosphere thanks to the family-run hotel, run with great dedication and passion, in the beautiful villa, with a beautiful view of the vineyards and Saale Valley. The breakfast, the dinner dishes, the service, and the team were outstanding and highly recommended. Thank you so much for the wonderful time.

It was a wonderful, very short-notice stay from August 9-10, 2025, in a wonderful house steeped in history, in a wonderful location with a sensational view, and with wonderful staff who made the stay an unforgettable experience, especially the Becker family, who run it. Unobtrusive, very high-quality service left nothing to be desired, the rooms were in excellent condition, and the restaurant ran smoothly despite being at full capacity. Breakfast, as well as the evening meals, were perfect and of very high quality, with regional suppliers given absolute priority. We would be happy to return for a longer stay, as we really enjoy the area and, above all, our hobby of "wineries" encountered a truly fantastic selection here, including amazing scenic experiences and many friendly people. We spent three days in May at this beautiful hotel with a stunning view of Bad Kösen. We really enjoyed the friendly and attentive service in the hotel and restaurant. The rooms were very nice. We felt very comfortable throughout the well-maintained hotel grounds and would gladly return.

The Flair Hotel & Restaurant Villa Ilske is a true gem nestled in the beautiful wine region near Bad Kösen. Upon arrival, the hilltop location impresses with its magnificent panoramic views of the surrounding vineyards and the Saale Valley – a view that, in good weather, is definitely worth enjoying from the cozy vine-covered terrace. The restaurant is particularly recommended for lovers of fresh, regional cuisine. The food is excellently prepared – whether a perfectly cooked steak with fresh salad or fine salmon appetizers, everything is served with attention to detail. The quality is consistently high and the value for money is reasonable. The wine selection is particularly noteworthy: If you like white wine, you should definitely try the local Bacchus or Silvaner – light, fruity, and perfectly complemented by the menu. The red wine, on the other hand, wasn't quite convincing in terms of taste, so opt for the white wines instead. A quick tip: The restaurant is very popular, so reservations are highly recommended. Access is via a steep road, so arriving by car is recommended. For guests who wish to stay longer, there is also a charming hotel on site with stylishly furnished rooms. An all-round delight for connoisseurs – an experience both culinary and scenic!

We went to the restaurant for dinner yesterday and sat outside! The service was very friendly, the food was delicious, and the view was fantastic! We'd love to come back! Reservations were easy via email, by the way. You can certainly make a reservation by phone, too.

We were able to put our rain-soaked clothes in the boiler room to dry. The Becker family was extremely friendly and warm. The bikes were dry and the bike batteries could be charged in a separate cupboard. Rooms and views were great.

We had another wonderful couple's weekend at Villa Ilske. The location is a dream: high above the beautiful Bad Kösen and in the middle of the Saale-Unstrut wine region. We combined our stay with wine hiking and a visit to the Bad Sulza thermal baths. The hotel can be recommended without reservation. The price-performance ratio is also right.

We were in the restaurant with a larger group and everyone was thrilled. The food was great, whether meat, fish or vegetarian. The service was also great, everyone was very attentive and friendly. And on top of that, of course, the great view. An all-round successful trip, we'll be back soon!

We had ordered a birthday table for my daughter, which was lovingly set. The starters, main courses and desserts we chose were a wow - a culinary delight. A great compliment to the kitchen. We arrived at the hotel in the fog and were even happier when we were able to experience a magnificent sunrise over Bad Kösen. The well-kept rooms are comfortably furnished and offer a beautiful view. The family-run hotel is a great starting point for hikes, city tours and a soothing visit to the nearby Bad Kösen saltworks. Very nice, quietly located hotel about 200 m above Bad Kösen. Food highly recommended with almost perfect seasoning. Rooms also OK and in very clean condition. Overall, highly recommended.

Today I was invited to a very special Christmas party. Chef Mr. Kreische led us through the entire facility with lots of great explanations. A little spice study was really educational. In his kingdom we were able to see how culinary delicacies are created. The final menu was awesome. Here you realize that cooking is not just a job, but a calling. Thank you for the lovely day.

Top location and sparkling clean, lovingly furnished hotel that exudes a certain calm. Even now in November, the hotel's restaurant was open until 10 p.m. This is no longer commonplace in small hotels today. We felt very comfortable. Thank you!

The Becker family and team are very good hosts who made us feel very comfortable during our stay (2 nights). The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. The dinner is divine (salmon, leg of lamb and much more). The rooms are very well insulated from noise and have, among other things, external blinds and an additional memory foam pillow. Everything well maintained and clean. Sufficient parking spaces at the house. Starting point for hikes or sightseeing on site or the surrounding area (e.g. Naumburg Castle). Whether for a stay with overnight stay, going out to eat or enjoying the fantastic view with a local wine - Villa Ilske is really highly recommended!

The family hotel Villa Ilske is definitely worth a trip!!! Ms. Becker showed a lot of patience and professionalism with our bookings of around 10 rooms a year in advance. The hillside location of the hotel offers fantastic views of Bad Kösen and the graduation tower. Villa Ilske is a stylishly furnished house where great attention is paid to detail and a very nice team takes care of the discerning guests. Highly recommended!!!

We weren't in the hotel, but after our first evening we ate twice more in the Villa Ilske restaurant (each time with a telephone reservation for 7 people). There are plenty of parking spaces, and you can also easily take the footpath through the vineyards from the center of Bad Kösen. Everyone could find something on the extensive menu. In particular, the hunter's pan, the vegetarian filled dumplings, the grilled vegetables, the Müllerin trout and the braised leg of lamb tasted good. The service was very friendly. The young people will certainly learn to serve plates from the right and not somehow pass them across the table. The magnificent view was darkened in the evening, due to the time of year. We'll be happy to come back and sit outside if the weather permits.

From the main course to dessert, very good food and very good wines. 🥂A visit is always worth it. The atmosphere and the view of the Saale Valley are magnificent.

The hotel is beautifully located above the vineyards. There are sufficient free parking spaces available. The double rooms - Standard are very small, especially the bathroom. It would be equipped with a safe or a small refrigerator (summer). desirable. The WiFi connection fluctuates a lot. The breakfast is sufficient.

We had dinner at Villa Ilske on July 29th, 2024. The view you can enjoy from here is very impressive. Unfortunately, the panorama seats were all occupied. But we were able to move around without any problems when a table became available. The service was very friendly and helpful when choosing the wine. The food was freshly prepared and very tasty. The evening will remain a fond memory for us and we would love to come back. Thank you for a relaxed and successful evening!!!!

Atmospherically very pleasant, family-run hotel. Friendly and competent staff, so we felt completely at home. Breakfast and dinner were good and plentiful, our rooms had everything we needed and were nicely furnished.

Visit in September 2023 This hotel and restaurant is fantastically located with wonderful views over the valley and the city and overlooking the graduation tower. There are a certain number of free parking spaces for guests of this property. We can't say anything about the rooms as we were only guests in the restaurant. The restaurant is divided into a beautiful dining room with a large winter garden and also a separate room. We enjoyed the outdoor terrace, some of which is wonderfully overgrown with vines. When we ordered over the phone, which was friendly and problem-free, we asked for a table slightly apart so that I could enjoy my cigar after dinner without bothering other guests with my smoke. This wish was implemented without any problems and, for me, in an almost perfect manner. We were given a separate table, away from the other guests, with a wonderful view over the valley and the graduation tower. We were given a great wine recommendation (feel free to get advice from the expert waitresses) and served wonderful regional food. We can recommend the restaurant without reservation. We will definitely come back here on our next visit.

Bad Kösen and the Flair Hotel are centrally located, making it easy to reach all excursion destinations.

Ending a busy day yesterday, the view is beautiful in the evening sun. The food was very tasty and you could enjoy the view together with delicious taste. Gladly again!

The location of the restaurant is breathtakingly beautiful. The service was excellent. The only thing that was even better was the food. We had perfect black chicken from the asparagus menu, saddle of lamb and beef steak. The price-performance ratio was also good. We will definitely come back.

Seven of us came in without a reservation. The location is breathtakingly beautiful. Thanks for that. The restaurant, however, is not recommended. The food, for which you would happily pay a lot, is not right in terms of price and performance ratio. It doesn't taste homemade and overall it's far too little. The waitress was very offensive in her choice of words when asked where the toilets were. That is not how it works. Very unfortunate

We only stayed 2 nights, but were totally pampered by the very nice staff. I found a lovingly decorated table for my birthday and I won't forget it in a hurry. We have never stayed overnight so pleasantly. We'd love to come back.

First of all: we only know the restaurant. We had a reservation for 5 people for 1pm on Boxing Day. Unfortunately we had to wait around 15 to 20 minutes in front of the restaurant, it wasn't clear why, we would have liked to have an aperitif to bridge the waiting time - it wasn't made possible. Our table was in the windowless breakfast room of the hotel, a walk-through room at that. A no go for us, but we had no choice, no alternative was possible. Two tables were put together, which meant that the 5th person couldn't really sit because the table legs were in the way. Then we all shuffled together a little. A festive atmosphere was then difficult. The food was good, everyone enjoyed it. The service was tried hard. However, we wouldn't come back.

We were allowed to be guests in the restaurant on Saturday and would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the nice, fast service and the fantastic meal - beef steak with wild herb salad. I can only rate the restaurant. Best restaurant in the area. Friendly and quick service, good selection of refined dishes. A wonderful view over Bad Kösen. But you should book in advance as it is well attended.
