Fischer-Hütte in Greifswald

After a trip to cold Stralsund, we were looking for delicious fish and a warm spot. We found both here. My name was, of course, cod on pumpkin and potato curry, and the younger version had plaice on green beans. The service was fantastic, including tips on how to eat plaice properly. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed lovingly prepared, delicious dishes.

A very nice restaurant, great ambiance, excellent food, and first-class service. Definitely recommend it!

A very nice maritime atmosphere. The fish was delicious and even "filleted" (I didn't find a single bone). Note: The fisherman's hut actually serves almost exclusively fish dishes. If you don't like that and are looking for alternatives, you won't find them here.

We ate there twice during our short vacation. The food was a bit more expensive, but the plates were nicely presented and the fish tasted excellent. Very nice, friendly, and attentive staff. They even refilled our wine glasses when they were empty. We'd be happy to come back.

Wonderful place and excellent, freshly prepared food. Everything is made with love. There's a small parking space for a few small campers 100 meters away. Simply fantastic.

Hello and greetings from Wieck, finally a restaurant where guests receive cutlery and napkins for both the starter and main course. The food was delicious and plentiful, and the plaice was well-fed :) The waiters are friendly and attentive to the guests. Result: I'm back again today

Best fish ever ❣️👍 The restaurant alone is worth a visit! I've had zander the last two times, and now I'm in love with it. Before that, I've always had something different from the menu. 👍👍👍The coffee is very good, as is the ice cream I had afterward. It's quite expensive, but ultimately, you don't go there often. I live in Quedlinburg and I'm in Greifswald about once a year, and the Fischer Hütte is truly a must-visit. You should make a reservation, which I do as a single person. It's always very busy. I can't say anything negative, but it's missing a little something for a fifth star. I recommend the natural hut beer.

Nice place, especially upstairs. Attentive service, some people speak English. Lots of fish dishes with German recipes.

We ate there and enjoyed it very much. We can highly recommend both.

Finally, a restaurant in a seaside town that doesn't rely on clichés: they offer a wide variety of fish and vegan alternatives (bonus point: yes, not every coastal visitor eats dead animals). Delicious, fresh, reasonable prices, unobtrusive service, AND a fundraiser for a children's hospice (!!!) Highly recommended!

We ate at the Fischer Hütte for the first time yesterday. We recently moved from Berlin to Greifswald. A beautiful restaurant with attention to detail. Very friendly service, excellent food prepared with love. We will be stopping by more often and enjoy being pampered. We were here for lunch, but didn't have much of an appetite. So we only had a small dish, but it was really delicious. A fish solianka and shrimp 🤤 The service was also very friendly and accommodating.

I went there with my five-year-old grandson after an afternoon at the beach. Crayons and toys came right along with the menu. The service was super friendly and attentive, and the food arrived very quickly and was first-class! The location, right at the harbor entrance, offered my grandson plenty of variety, and I've never had such a relaxing meal during my five-day trip with him!

The menu is very good! Please just swap the Pepsi Cola for real Coca-Cola (glass bottles only). Since Pepsi started making all its drinks (including regular Coke) with sweeteners, it doesn't taste good at all anymore.

Very tasty food, friendly service, lively atmosphere. You can sit outside under the awning, under a canopy, or inside. Relatively expensive.

The Fischer Hütter Inn in Wieck is a great place to eat something special. Fresh fish and generally very fresh ingredients are used here. The rustic atmosphere invites you to linger longer. While you'll find the price here is higher, it remains a destination worth saving up for. The dining room is clean and well-maintained, and the staff is always approachable and courteous. The restrooms are also clean. Important for many: card payments are accepted here! Parking is scarce, but there's always a spot for cyclists =)

We dined here as vacationers and received friendly service. Our chosen meal was delicious and the portion sizes were reasonable. Prices are a bit higher than usual, but the ambiance and location are very nice.

I'm not awarding the one star for the good food (though it's far from gourmet quality) or the friendly service, but solely for the outrageous prices: A 0.5 liter Störtebeker Pils (the cheap Pils, not the organic version) costs €6.20, and fried herring with fried potatoes costs €19.90. The owners obviously can't get enough.

The salmon pasta and the homemade limodade were delicious.

We ate there for the first time yesterday. The food was fine dining and very delicious. The flavor combinations were perfectly balanced. 👌🏻 Unfortunately, we're only here on vacation, otherwise we would eat there much more often. 😊

We live on Uznam Island and we have restaurants with fish dishes 17-22 euros. It is very expensive here. Dishes start at 30 euros. We could accept it, but the fish fillet was very small and thickly breaded. The fish did not smell. The dishes are styled as exquisite, there are various additions such as plums or carrots al dente instead of salad. But if someone wanted to enjoy a conscientious piece of fish, its smell and taste - they will be disappointed

We've eaten here frequently over the years, but unfortunately, we've noticed that the quality has declined significantly recently. The prices are incredibly steep and inflated, and the portions have gotten smaller and smaller. It's a shame when you end up going home hungry for a meal that costs €25-35. Yesterday was probably our last visit. After getting a burnt plaice and lukewarm fried potatoes in a mini portion for €25, we can only advise all tourists to stay away.

Nice ambiance, with a view of the hustle and bustle on and around the drawbridge. My wife was looking forward to asparagus "Swedish style" and I was looking forward to "The Flounder" (fresh from the Bodden). Let's make it short: The asparagus was overcooked, woody, and practically inedible (except for a few tips). The chef who puts something like that on the plate should be fired! The flounder was young and fresh (almost undersized), tender in the flesh but unfortunately not crispy. Fried potatoes? Well, watery, tasteless - unbelievable - (if only I had read the reviews beforehand - then we would have been spared this disappointment). It remains to be mentioned that the service was friendly and attentive. A coffee on the house should console us...

I highly recommend this restaurant! Very nice ambiance, although there's a lot to see inside. The food is expensive, but worth it! Not your average fare, but more sophisticated. The orange and pepper sauce with the zander fillet was a bit too peppery for me, though. The sea buckthorn and elderflower syrup spritzer is very tasty on warm days, refreshing, and not too sweet. Very friendly service. We were completely satisfied.

We love eating here regularly. The staff are always super friendly, the ambiance is beautiful both in summer and winter, and at Christmas time they serve delicious homemade mulled wine. The prices are absolutely reasonable for the quality of the food, in my opinion. We'll be eating here often :)

Today, five of us had an excellent meal in a beautiful setting with a view of the historic bridge, friendly and efficient staff, and freshly prepared fish. If you like fish, then go to the Fischerhütte. A definite recommendation.

I left disappointed a few years ago, and unfortunately, I left again today. It's not the service or the ambiance. The exorbitant prices for the dishes are simply not justified. Charging €32 for the hut platter is ridiculous. A bit of zander, salmon, and cod (which were also fried to death), served with a dollop of fried potatoes and beans. Oh, and you also have to add €6.90 for a beer. Better go a bit further; they also have fresh fish for half price. I'll definitely never come back.

We visited the Fischer Hütte again. It's a lovingly decorated restaurant with a courteous service team and owner. The daily menu is seasonal. The dishes (e.g., cod and pike-perch fillets) are excellently presented. Even when all the tables are full, the noise isn't disturbing.

Rustic ambience in Wiek on the old drawbridge (here you can go to the toilet, for example), dishes were great with a selection according to the season or menu, it was delicious here and the service was friendly and attentive, thank you

I was there with friends to chat a bit and enjoy a cold drink. The ambience is nice without question, but the staff is unfriendly and mouthy. We all had the same drink decorated with fresh mint that apparently hadn't been washed🤢 I had dirt and even aphids in the drink... The prices are extremely high for what is offered there. Conclusion: never again!

We found the restaurant by chance and were very impressed. The food is absolutely delicious. And the ambience is just great. We have to come back often to explore everything.

Probably one of the most expensive restaurants in town. Here you pay for the location and it is really nice, right next to the bascule bridge. The new outdoor area is cozy. The prawns as a starter were cooked perfectly, but the avocado-chilli mousse was very sparsely represented on the plate and there was no taste of chili. Unfortunately the fish curry had very little of the same. They also didn't respond to the special request to make it a little spicy, although that really wouldn't be a problem. The chili was probably out, which would also explain the starter ;) The salmon spaghetti was a gigantic portion with a lot of fish, but unfortunately it was a bit dry. The sauce itself was quite bland and I had to add a lot of salt. The service was a bit flippant, but friendly and quick. I've eaten here several times and actually eaten better. Especially considering the prices, the dishes were a little disappointing. Especially the more exotic dishes don't seem to be able to be authentically prepared. Maybe just stick with the classics? Update April 25 While you're happy with fish when it's translucent, I prefer my potatoes cooked. When the complaint was made, instead of an apology from the service management, there was a “So, what should we do now?” Only then was a replacement side dish reluctantly offered, which was also delicious. The reason for the faux pas was that the potatoes were like that. Nonsense! No matter what kind of potatoes you use, they will all cook if you cook them long enough. Especially since these potatoes should even be fried. Yes, those in the picture are supposed to be FRY potatoes, even if the lack of any roasted aromas makes it clear that it wasn't the potatoes, but the cook.

The presentation of the plate was loving and appetizing - fresh, rustic and at the same time with a touch of sophistication. The friendly service and the relaxed atmosphere right on the water rounded off the experience perfectly. If you love fish, you shouldn't miss this dish!

1 star for the beautiful location and the fact that there was sunshine that day. We went here because of a lack of alternatives, but the “fried potatoes” were completely soft, some beans were dry and overcooked, while others were still raw. Staff extremely unfriendly. I wanted to give a 3 euro tip by card, but was immediately told that I couldn't do that by card. The restaurant can be lucky to have a good location.

The outside of the restaurant was really nice and nicely decorated. But right from the start I was struck by the unfriendly manner of service. You felt unwelcome and unwanted. When I went inside to use the toilet, one of the waitresses spoke to me unfriendly. I should speak up if I want something. Then, annoyed, she explained to me where the toilet was and when I asked again, she became snotty because of her lack of clarity. That's why there was a €0 tip!

The food is ALWAYS really delicious! Every dish or course is served very quickly and the service is always friendly and attentive! The fishing hut is highly recommended! We always look forward to eating there.

I ate there for the second time and was very satisfied again. This time we had trout with mashed potatoes. The Riesling also tasted good. However, you have to pay a lot for it.

Delicious food and service, I recommend it

Very tasty food at acceptable prices. A restaurant that almost resembles a museum inside. Friendly staff. There is hardly anything nicer than sitting on the terrace of this old bascule bridge in sunny weather.

Disappointing women's day. We had plaice with bacon beans, the plaice tasted like nothing, the beans were a technical disaster. My 87 year old mother was warned by the service staff that she had eaten too slowly, hence the cold food. The price-performance ratio is in no way correct. Never again.

Great ambience! Great restaurant where there is so much decoration to see! So many “old” things, fantastically decorated! The food is expensive, but worth it! Very nice service, all wishes were taken into account when ordering without any problems. Suggestions were even made about what you could have instead. We were all completely satisfied.

Ich hatte Hering mit Bratkartoffeln und Salat. Der eingelegte Brathering schmeckte labberig, der Salat war nicht knackig und die Bratkartoffeln in altem Fett gegart, haben ihren Namen nicht verdient - waren matschig. Dafür war das Ganze auch noch recht teuer. So etwas kann man niemandem anbieten. Das Ambiente ist urig- maritim, die Bedienung rustikal.

Wir freuten uns so auf ein leckeres Fischgericht in tatsächlich sehr nettem Ambiente. Das Personal war bemüht freundlich, aber eben spürbar bemüht. Die Teller sehr überladen, Quantität vor Qualität. Die Heringe geschmacklos, Bohnen und handwerklich katastrophal zubereitete Bratkartoffeln schmeckten nach einem ranzigen Einheitsöl. Es war im Grunde ungenießbar. Was für eine Enttäuschung! Das Preisleistungsverhältnis stimmt hier in keiner Weise. Wir betreten dieses Lokal nie wieder.
