Fisch in Kaltenkirchen

We were there today around 1:15 p.m. and wanted to eat hot fried fish. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible because the fryer was already off. But there was plenty in the display. We were told that the service counter closes at 4:00 p.m. Find the error!!

I find the staff very friendly. The quality of the goods is also very good.

On March 3rd, 2025 I was at the fish counter in Famila again, but unfortunately I have to say that I was very disappointed. Due to a lack of staff, I was informed that the fish counter would only be open until 4 p.m. that day - which was fine with me. I got there at 3:50 p.m. and was told to come back another day - but the store was still open for 10 minutes?! The selection was extremely limited and the employee showed no interest in helping me or giving me friendly advice. I understand that there can be bottlenecks, but the unfriendly treatment and lack of service made me very upset - especially since it wasn't the first time! As a long-time regular customer, I expect at least a little understanding and assistance in such situations - but instead I was simply dismissed. I thought “the customer is king,” but apparently the store doesn’t rely on customers. Conclusion: This was definitely my last visit to the fish counter at Famila. I would rather drive a few more kilometers and accept better service and friendlier advice in another shop and I'm willing to pay more for that! It's a real shame, but that's how you lose customers.

A fine address in Famila - enjoyed lunch there for the first time today: fish in beer batter with aioli and quite good potato salad. Very tasty and pleasantly inexpensive at €7.30. Please note that the smoked fish comes from our own smokehouse.
