We were here today, really bad food, it says Croatian food , there was nothing croatian in cevapcici, they were bought from kaufland,and cut in half from the normal length. Too expensive 16eur for 6small pieces, definitely not recommending this place,avoid it at all costs.

We really didn't like the food. In the minced meat steak there is a piece of bone (the waitress meant cartilage) By the way, at the neighboring table too. The TKbollete from the burger didn't really taste that tasty either. Starter plate price/performance not at all suitable.

Unfortunately, I can't rate the food, service and ambience because we had reserved a table, but it wasn't possible to get a parking space at this beautiful restaurant... parking is against all street regulations. I wish the restaurant that a fire never breaks out there... because the fire department has to stay on the main street, so no rescue service can get through... We drove back after 30 minutes hoping that something would be free. I don't need that, even if I would have liked to eat Croatian food. It's done for me...

It's lovely to sit outside under the trees on the Fulda. The food is good, there is a surprising amount of fish for a Croatian.

We were there for the first time today. We sat outside in the beer garden. Nice atmosphere with a beautiful view of the Fulda. The food came quickly and was very tasty. Will definitely come by again. The waitresses were very friendly and always there.

We were there for dinner with a larger group and there wasn't anyone who didn't enjoy it. Personally, I thought my meal (plaice fillet) was very tasty and the price was also completely reasonable. It's nice to sit outside in the beer garden by the Fulda. The service was friendly. The only thing I didn't like was that we had to wait quite a long time for our food. OK, there were around 20 of us and there were other guests there besides us, but you have to be prepared for that, we had made a reservation too. And you could perhaps give the whole thing a visual makeover, but everything is clean and tidy, it just seems a bit old. Otherwise I have nothing to complain about and would recommend the restaurant at any time.

Although we made a reservation, we didn't get our exact seat, we thought it was a real shame.... The woman or the boss was a bit fresh at the beginning, then she slowly became nice, otherwise the food was great!

Beautifully located on Fulda Island

Super nice place to spend some time, have a drink or eating some delicious food. The personnel are very nice and its a super nice view. But be aware. Unfortunately food was pretty awfull. I got the mix grill and quality and portion was low. The meat was very thin, made on a ,, toaster" and with a lot of soup pulver (which made it very salty), the fries were like boiled in water, no taste, no salt no nothing. The cevapcici was ONLY ONE and like 3cm long... The rice was like a sauce and the salad had pretty tasteless vegetables. Can only recommend drinking here...

Restaurant with a beautiful view of the Fulda. The menu offers a selection of normal dishes for restaurants of this type. Personally, I find the portions carelessly prepared. I could get over that by not eating here anymore. However, the drinks were brought rather sporadically. At some point I looked for the waitress myself and found him smoking at the window. Sorry, but when the beer garden is full, the empty glasses multiply on the table and I literally have to ask the staff to bring me more drinks on a hot evening...

Stopped by the Fulda terrace again during a cycling break in the best weather. Very nice service who let us in before opening time and soon brought us drinks. The food was very good and filling. My grill platter was very tasty. After that it was difficult to continue cycling. We were thrilled and would love to come back. Thank you.

We were very happy about the location right on the Fulle! There is too much artificial decoration inside. The service was very friendly and very good! The finch pan was beautifully prepared but the rump steak was dead, the rest was quite okay, the fried potatoes had too much cheese for gratinating, so overall it was very greasy....the side salad was also very tasty...the general mood was very positive...We're coming again but I eat something else...

Very nicely located on the Fulda

One of the most beautiful terraces in Kassel, good home cooking, solid portions, fish specialties, reasonable prices, professional and charming service!

We had a very tasty Croatian white wine. The atmosphere is really nice, the service is really friendly, as it should be 👍 (also perfect for couples and dates, you can sit outside, look at the Fulda together and the beautiful lighting comes on in the evening)

So bad 🙅‍♀️ unfortunately not recommended at all Ordered 2 Pils -> got 2 Radler -> but was exchanged with apologies. Then the food: 1x Croatian ham platter, no, that's not possible! Maybe 3-4 tasteless slices of ham or salami, baguette instead of house bread!? 1x grill plate, liver canceled, was on it, but was taken back for 1 cevapcici 😂, otherwise only 1 cevapcici on the plate. Then unfortunately there is a fly in the salad. Yes, unfortunately we had to argue with 3 waitresses, no insight, quite unfriendly, no understanding of the mistakes, no apology 🤷🏼‍♀️👎 We then paid the full amount. We won't go there again in our lives! Unfortunately not recommended!

Great location right on the Fulda, a dream when the weather is nice. The service is very friendly. But that was it for the positive impressions. After sitting at a table for 15 minutes and actively inquiring about the possibility of ordering, we were told that we would have to wait because a larger group would be served before us. (A group of about 12 people - well...) After we ordered, we had to wait over 35 minutes for a tuna salad, which was then served with the wrong dressing and therefore had to be made again. This wouldn't have been really bad if it weren't for the completely inflated price. The tuna salad, which was not much larger than a normal side salad, costs a whopping €16.00 in this restaurant, which leaves a very stale aftertaste. This salad was definitely not worth it. Overall, the restaurant seemed overpriced to us, and our complaint was stoically acknowledged by the (really friendly) waitress. The prices of the other dishes also seemed at least brave to us, also considering that the (outside) furnishings had probably seen better days. Overall, a rather unpleasant experience, no matter how good the location and the weather could be...

Had a delicious lunch in the Finkenherd today. Good selection in the menu from fish to meat. Nice service. The main courses were very tasty, fresh and plentiful. There was ice cream for dessert. We recommend. Price performance fits.

Unfortunately the price-performance ratio is not right. We were there on a Friday evening. Only four tables were occupied from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. First of all, the good thing, for which I give two stars, the service (employees) was very nice, the food was hot, the rice was tasty but for 20 euros for the grill plate, no matter what kind of Croatian we were, we had never had such a wafer-thin slice of bacon and liver as well as a mini cevapcici as I said a cevapcici, unfortunately the portion didn't match the price and when we said goodbye there wasn't even a treat on the house that I know of We also different, unfortunately we won't be coming back

Das Essen war super, der Service freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir hatten einen schönen Vormittag. Der Blick und die Umgebung am Wasser ist wunderschön, nur innen ist es sehr altmodisch und was ich gar nicht mag sind überall diese Kunstblumen. Man könnte soviel aus diesem Restaurant optisch rausholen..Aber wegen des gutem Essen kommen wir trotzdem gern.😊

Wir hatten hier schon eine frühe Weihnachtsfeier und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Portionen waren sehr großzügig bemessen und alle fanden es sehr lecker. Ich hätte es schön gefunden, wenn bei den Fischgerichten die Beilagen etwas mehr variiert hätten, anstelle von immer nur Kartoffeln und Dillsoße. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Gutes Essen, nette Bedienung und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältniss passt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Eigentlich war ich noch sehr großzügig mit den Sternen. Der Grillteller soll gut gewesen sein so wie auch der Burger. Enttäuscht war ich das ich an meinem Geburtstag erst nicht das bekommen habe was ich bestellt hatte und dann auch noch feststellen musste das meine Medaillons mit Pfifferlingen aus der Dose serviert wurden und die waren leider so überschaubar wie die hollandais 😔 bei dem Preis hätte ich zumindest frische Pilze erwartet oder ein paar mehr aus der Dose.

Essen war super lecker 😋 und der Service war auch klasse. Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert

Von Anfang bis Ende wurden wir von exzellentem Service und köstlichem Essen verwöhnt. Das Ambiente ist einladend und gemütlich, perfekt für einen entspannten Abend. Das Personal war äußerst aufmerksam und freundlich, sie haben sich um all unsere Wünsche gekümmert. Die Speisekarte bietet eine breite Auswahl an authentischen kroatischen Gerichten, und wir haben uns für die Empfehlungen des Hauses entschieden. Jeder Bissen war ein Geschmackserlebnis! Die Qualität der Zutaten und die Zubereitung waren hervorragend. Besonders beeindruckt waren wir von den Fischgerichten. Der frische Fisch schmeckte wie direkt aus dem Meer und wurde perfekt gewürzt zubereitet. Auch die Auswahl an Weinen hat uns begeistert. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team für diesen wunderbaren Abend. Wir vergeben mit Freude fünf Sterne und empfehlen dieses Restaurant wärmstens weiter!

Es ist zwar alles schon etwas älter und könnte durchaus mal renoviert werden aber die Lage und das wirklich, ohne Zweifel, sehr gute Essen entschädigen dafür. Von uns absolut empfehlenswert 👍

Man sitzt im Biergarten schön direkt über der Fulda. Einfache Möbel, dennoch ok. Der Service ist flott und freundlich. Das Fleisch, der Salat und Dressing sind m. E. alles Fertigware. Fleisch sehr trocken und mit (wohl) fertigen Grillstreifen drauf. Grillteller knapp 20 Euro - das ist für die Qualität etwas zu viel. Cevapcici liegen auch bei stolzen 16 Euro. 0,2 l einfacher Wein 6,20 Euro, Flaschenweine ab 26 Euro.

Toll gelegen, leider war das Essen nicht so toll wie es aussah, Ambiente hat Nachholbedarf. Servicepersonal war sehr lobenswert

Im Sommer seit vielen Jahren eine sehr gute Adresse besonders für das Essen in einzigartiger Lage direkt am Fluss mit Blick auf Schleuse und Boots-/Schiffverkehr. Die Karte mit mittlerweile angehobenen Preisen bietet von 11.30 bis 23:00 Uhr, warm bis 22 Uhr, Salate, Suppen, div. Fleisch- und viele Fischgerichte, Desserts und Kindergerichte. Wir bestellten Sardellen, eine sehr leckere und üppige Vorspeise, auch, wenn sie nur mit getoastetem Brot serviert wurde, bissi Salat könnte nix schaden. Das Croatia Hacksteak war super gebraten und mit leckerem, cremigem Schafskäse gefüllt, dazu gab es einen frischen Salat, ganz ordentlich, mit vielen Zutaten, Pommes frites und Gemüsereis, der leider eher lasch schmeckte und nicht warm serviert wurde, dafür aber wenigstens leicht bissfest war. Der junge Mann im Service war außerordentlich freundlich, flott und zugewandt und ein echter Gewinn für das Restaurant!!! Es war ein schöner Abend am Fluss!

Das essen war wie immer gut. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Wir saßen auf der Terrasse und hatten einen wunderschönen Blick auf die Fulda.

Eine tolle Location, Im Außenbereich evtl. Etwas eng, aber eine tolle Aussicht. Das Personal war super, das Essen hat auch geschmeckt. Aber Teppich im Innenbereich geht gar nicht.

It is alright I should say. I think the food it is a little bit overpriced for what you get. We were a group of 7 people and ate outside. The staff was friendly. The food is average, nothing special. Overall it's OK ish. As a minus I can say that we ordered a plate with greens, olives, boiled eggs, salami and some other staff. It was als raw spinach underneath. I tried to eat some and i think it was not washed good because I could feel the sand between the theet.

Leider sind wir sehr enttäuscht von dem Besuch im Finkenherd! Ausblick ist super, Bedienung sehr nett.. ! Das war aber alles Positive! Das Essen ist völlig überteuert! Wir hatten u.a. Cevapcici, man hatte den Eindruck es wäre vorgeformtes günstiges Fleisch, kurz lieblos auf dem Grill erwärmt, fast ungenießbar! Desweiteren Leber vom Grillteller völlig trocken gegrillt und kaum zu schneiden. Das Bier war leider lauwarm und ohne Schaum, eigentlich abgestandener Geschmack. Pommes und Salat waren okay! Allerdings war der Preis wirklich utopisch. Cevapcici 16 Euro, Grillteller 19 Euro! Wir waren ein einziges Mal hier und werden nicht wiederkommen! Hier lohnt sich nicht einmal ein kurzer Abstecher auf ein lauwarmes abgestandenes Bier! Sorry!

Fleischgerichte sind super. Gmüsepfanne lieblos und geschmacklos. Für 12€ TK-Kaisergemüse mit 80% Möhren und etwas Blumenkohl ohne Würze mit fertiger Hollandaise übergossen. Oben drauf lagen zwei panierte Champions und zwei Scheiben panierte Auberginen. Dazu Kroketten. Beim Kroaten erwarte ich was anderes!

Geschmacklich ok. Große Portionen. Aber überteuert. Mitten in Kassel auf einer Insel. Aber auch Inselpreise.

Schoenes Ausflug Restaurant Essen war befriedigen aber auch nicht so berauschend Salat hatte ich ein Haar gefunden Der Grillteller fuer 2 Personen war gross aber Geschmacklich enttaeuschend Da auch auf der Karte Wiener Schnitzel stand bekamen wir nur normales Schweineschnitzel. Das Cordan bloe war ohne Kaese gefüllt wurden und enttäuscht auf ganzer Linie. Bedienung war überfordert und hatte nicht mal Zeit uns zufragen ob wir rin weiteres Getränk möchten. Wegen Corona war Hygiene nicht so wie man sich so vorstellt. Ohne Desinfektion Mittel keine Registrierung vor Ort oder am Tisch. Es wären viele Per oben im Freien und auf engenraum da die Tische zu dicht zusammen standen

Passend by on a cycling trip through Kassel and stayed on the terras for an afternoon drink. Given the nice location, the menu card and a lot of locals beving dinner there, we decided to also have dinner. The food was good, service also. We enjoyed it.

Gestern erstmals seit langem waren wir wieder am Finkenherd. Der Biergarten mit Blick auf die Fulda ist im Sommer schon toll, das Personal überaus zuvorkommend und sehr familienfreundlich. Der gegrillte Lachs war vorzüglich, die Calamari ausgezeichnet, sehr knofelig. Schweinemedallions waren ebenfalls sehr gut, die Grillplatte auch. Bei den Beilagensalaten ist noch Luft nach oben. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert und ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältniss.

Na ja, seit längerem hatten wir schon mal geplant im Insel Restaurant unsere Freunde zu treffen und lecker zu Essen! An der Fulda sitzt man wirklich gut im Biergarten, doch das Essen war nicht überzeugend. Salat aus Glas oder Dose (frisch ist anders) Fisch, Fleisch, auch Hack war wohl TK Ware..! Fazit, mal getestet, aber es gibt sicherlich in Kassel noch Luft nach oben um das Geld auszugeben und um zu genießen..! 😉

Außenbereich direkt an der Fulda, soweit ganz nett, aber auch arg in die Jahre gekommen. Zur Einhaltung der Coronaregelungen: Alle Kellner mit Mundschutz, Abstände ok, kein Desinfektionsmittel und keine Beschilderung zu entdecken. Unsere Kontaktdaten wurden NICHT erfasst. Das Essen war kaum gewürzt, das Fleisch der Grillplatte hatte keine gute Qualität, wir waren enttäuscht.

Eine kleine Oase mit Blick direkt auf die Fulda. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend, die Essensportionen sind sehr reichlich - das Essen ist appetitlich angerichtet. Die Salate sind frisch. Wir hatten dort eine frühe gemeinsame Abendmahlzeit aus einem Anlass zum Geburtstag. Auch für Kinder gab es einen Triptrap-Stuhl.

Зашли в ресторан по рекомендации отеля. Ресторан расположен в очень красивом месте. Из меню - немецкая и средиземноморская кухня. Обслуживание - на самом высоком уровне. Ценник - средний, ресторанный. В 20-30 столиков свободных нет. Рекомендуем к посещению!

Hier bin ich im Sommer immer sehr gerne. Einfache kroatische Küche, in einfacher, aber sehr schöner Umgebung.Mit sehr freundlichem Personal .Schöner Ausblick auf die Fulda....Das Essen...mmmh....man findet immer was Leckeres. Gehe ich gerne hin...kann ich auch nur empfehlen!!

Good good at reasonable prices. Restaurant is located in a small park near the river, a good place to relax and have a beer and a schnitzel.

Wir saßen draußen mit direktem Blick auf die Fulda. Ich hatte ein gegrilltes Lachsfilet welches überragend war! Wir waren schon einmal da und ich hatte ein Fleichgericht welches eher durchscnittlich war. Die Bedienung war sehr nett. Die Wartezeiten und Preise sind auch gut.

I only eat here on a Saturday morning for brunch, when the weather is nice as the river views are very nice. I cant comment on the dinner menu as I only have the light bites which are very good. If you fancy a nice relaxing time with a glass of white watching the world (and the odd duck) drift slowly past, then this little place is ideal

I strongly encourage you to find somewhere else to get your dinner! My family and I were not received or welcomed, when we were finally seated it took 15 minutes just to give us the menu, when we got our drinks they gave me the wrong beer, but worst part: after we had ordered, we waited ONE FULL HOUR with no food in sight. We even asked politely about the food after 40 minutes, they forgot us. Finally, we decided to leave and get our dinner elsewhere. When we left they did not apologize.

Simple restaurant where you can sit outside and have a typical German meal. Simple food, friendly service and good price/quality.
