We ate there today to round off our vacation. The restaurant is very nice. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and we all enjoyed it immensely. Please pass this on to the kitchen crew. Highly recommended. We'll be back next year. Reservations required.

The great thing about this snack bar is that the owners have a zero-tolerance policy for negative reviews. I keep reading that the owners dismiss negative reviews by saying that guests don't get their preferred table. Continue to be the worst restaurant when it comes to customer service when it comes to table requests. If you can't fulfill a birthday wish, you shouldn't be running a restaurant. Review update after owner's response... Dear people choosing a restaurant on Sylt / in Wenningstedt - just read the negative reviews and decide for yourself whether to go to this restaurant or not. Thrown out of a restaurant or having to endure insults - no words. There are so many restaurants that are 100% customer-oriented, even when making a reservation by phone. The Alte Friesenstube, Restaurant 1784, or the Spanish restaurant Pablito. Stay away from Florjan's Restaurant. Thanks for NOTHING... Shortly after the coronavirus pandemic in 2022, I tried to get a table of my choice for my birthday... Was dismissed with the words "we can't do that - you'll get the one that's free." Today - after three years - I tried to reserve a table for my birthday again at the end of August - for two people - and was cheekily handled on the phone with the following: "Be quick and tell me what you want, I don't have time. What do you want..." If you don't want it, you already have it. We shouldn't feel sorry for restaurants going bankrupt anymore.

Guys, the food was excellent. We went there twice and had the mixed fish platter with fried potatoes, saltimbocca, and the absolute highlight was the St. Peter's fish. The value for money here is definitely good! And the service was always friendly and attentive!

We were able to get a spot with our dog at very short notice... Thank you very much for that. The food was really good, but unfortunately just too expensive (Sylt surcharge). Or, to put it mildly, there was simply too little on the plate for the price.

This was solely about the food and the behavior of the service staff. It's nice that you blame your incompetence solely on the table—I guess I hit the nail on the head when it came to preparing the food. You yourself are aware of your rudeness. Review from June 28, 2024 Today we were actually looking forward to our visit to Florjans. However, I have to say, never again. I ordered lamb fillet with tomato sauce and rosemary potatoes. The food arrived less than 10 minutes after ordering. Upon taking the first bite, I noticed that the rosemary potatoes were extremely oversalted. After consulting with the waiter, I requested new rosemary potatoes. This was reluctantly agreed to. Two minutes later, I was confronted with the fact that the plate would have to be completely remade. Yeah, sure, no problem, I'll just wait. The waiter was visibly annoyed by this. Another two minutes later, a new plate was in front of me. However, I noticed that the dish from the first plate had just been pushed onto a new plate, only with even less sauce (I have photos of this, by the way). At no point was there any further question as to whether it was okay, nor any other question. The plate was later cleared away in silence. This meal was one of the worst meals of my life and the worst service ever. I'm giving it 2 stars overall just because of the ambiance. My husband's Wiener Schnitzel was okay, but not outstanding. The cucumber salad was the best part. By the way, my husband ate the lamb fillet because he didn't want it to go to waste. He didn't want the lamb to die for the trash.

Unfortunately, we were unable to review the food because the waiter insulted us after we asked questions and threw us out of the restaurant. This type of behavior has been adequately described in the low reviews here and appears to be a general problem with certain employees. The situation arose due to allergy-related questions about the preparation and ingredients of certain dishes. Regardless of who was right in the matter, it is unacceptable to shout aggressively and hurl insults in the dining room after receiving criticism. The waiter's behavior was highly unprofessional, aggressive, and demonstrated a lack of empathy. Anyone who is confident, secure, and self-assured can also handle criticism. Unfortunately, the person in question appears to lack these character traits.

We chose this restaurant for my birthday based on many positive reviews. Located at the intersection of a main road, it looked rather unassuming from the outside, but the interior boasted a very pleasant ambiance, both in the restaurant and in the conservatory-like porch. The service was very friendly, attentive, and prompt, the menu was impressive, and the food was extremely delicious, moderately priced, and good value for money. We were not disappointed. Reservations required!

Family-run restaurant serving German cuisine. A definite recommendation, with really good value for money, a cozy interior, and a relaxed atmosphere on the outdoor terrace, which can be completely enclosed in bad weather. And the espresso was hot and delicious! So, a definite recommendation!

We had dinner today. We spontaneously called at 2 p.m. and reserved a table. Which was definitely the best decision, at the beginning it was quite empty - but later it wasn't anymore. We received our starter 30 minutes after ordering and our main course another 20 minutes later. Both were very tasty and made with fresh ingredients. Decoration was also great. Prices are very reasonable for the ambience, food and service. The service was also great. We personally can only recommend the restaurant.

We found space in the tent on a winter evening. It was cozy, warm and well attended. The menu is pleasantly clear. But there is something for every taste. We enjoyed it. We were very satisfied with the service. Gladly again.

We were simply thrilled with the interior and the service. Everything was just as we hoped. The St. Peter's fish was delicious, and the curry soup was also great. The prices for the dishes were reasonable, but the prices for soft drinks – 200ml Coke for €4.20 – are quite high. Nevertheless: a clear recommendation!

Luckily we got a table for 6 people at short notice. And all 6 were thrilled!! Fish pan, pasta with scampi, lamb fillet, veal liver, Wiener schnitzel… everything was great. Plus friendly, attentive service and a good selection of wines - we'll definitely be back!!

Great winter garden. Very tastefully decorated. Very good food, and the service is unbeatable. Very friendly and unobtrusive. I've rarely experienced anything like that. Full marks.

Inconspicuous from the outside, very cozy inside, we especially liked the main room. Excellent meal, we had the starter platter for two, the John Dory and the whole fried sea bass. Reasonably priced for Sylt conditions. Like everywhere else, no star deduction, overpriced drinks. Bottle of mineral water €8, wines with a surcharge between €25 and €200. Gladly again.

We are now on vacation for the second week, this time in Westerland. We have been regular guests at Florjan's for years and always feel well looked after. Our stay at Florjans Restaurant was the culmination of a wonderful holiday. It was our fourth visit there and we were thrilled every time. The food is simply outstanding. Particularly recommended are the fillets of St. Peter's fish and the Sylter-style grilled fish plate - both real culinary delights. An absolute highlight was the fantastic Friesian cream, which you should definitely try. The service was extremely friendly and attentive, which made the evening even more enjoyable. The atmosphere in the rustic Friesenstube and the cozy winter garden is very inviting and ensures an all-round successful experience. We are already looking forward to our next visit and will definitely come back!

Excellent fish dishes in a beautiful, not aloof atmosphere - in short: the grilled plate with the three kinds of fish in the mustard sauce was fantastic; I ordered it again two days later. The food selection is mixed Italian and German.

This is our second time there. Always a pleasure. Everything very fresh. Pescatarian too, a lot beforehand and really tasty. We'll be back next year too. Delicious wines.

As an individual, you will be assigned a place in the drafty entrance area. My request to move to the winter garden was harshly rejected, even though there were free tables there. Two waiters who suddenly don't speak German after a complaint. I love Sylt and the great restaurants - but here I felt completely wrongly perceived as a female guest. Hello from Hamburg, Thank you for your answer, which didn't surprise me at all. Criticism isn't for everyone. There were free seats in the winter garden or why did guests who came after me ask about them. These guests had not made reservations either. Furthermore, I don't feel the need to put myself in the foreground here or anywhere else. I'm just saying that the service didn't work. For example, the individual guest at the next table received a completely different dish than he ordered. Praise God I am not tied to you during my many visits to the island, there are so many very good restaurants where not only the food tastes excellent, but the service is also of high quality.

CRITICISM UNWANTED My wife and I pre-ordered a sole for two people for our birthday 48 hours before our visit to the restaurant. The table for 2 guests was set. We ordered a bottle of wine and the sole. The waiter brought the wine and a short time later the unfilleted sole was served to us on a plate (for two people!) without fish cutlery. A little puzzled, I asked whether we should cut up the sole ourselves using normal cutlery, as it is common for us to get the sole filleted in high-priced restaurants! Waiter: “This can only be done with advance notice, otherwise there will be additional costs for this service!” Waiter: “You could put that in a friendlier way!” Some time later we were served the fish and potatoes (bacon?) on two plates. Unfortunately without a fish knife. The statement, “You don’t need that anymore, the fish has already been cut up” was also very irritating! Nevertheless, we really enjoyed the sole! After the meal, my wife spoke to the responsible employees to give feedback on what could perhaps be done better next time. The result: My wife was thrown out by two employees with the comment “You would have liked to have thrown your husband out immediately! There will be no next time!

A really, really great restaurant. The veal schnitzel and the pasta pockets were really delicious. The service was TOP and the ambience was very nice and lovingly designed. We will definitely come back next time we visit Sylt.

The reservation was not made as agreed (indoor area, instead of winter garden). When we asked for another table, the reservation book was angrily slammed onto the counter with the words "Do it, I don't feel like it anymore." When we then wanted to leave the restaurant, people ran after us and said, "Who do you think you are? Berlusconi? Get out of here and never come back!" at. The boss stood in front of us in a clear, aggressive stance and blocked the way. We were surprised at this way of dealing with guests. We simply asked if it would be possible to get another table. Service looks different. Impudent and aggressive. Never again!

We stayed at Florjans with 7 people and we were all thrilled!! Very nice and attentive service, great fresh food and a cozy atmosphere! The restaurant was full but everything went quickly! We recommend!

Unfortunately that was nothing... We were there 15 minutes before our reservation, but were already able to get seated. However, the menu and drinks were available at the reserved time. We ordered various main dishes. The fried fish was watery, the lamb dish sparse, the fish platter just ok. Only the Wiener Schnitzel was very good. Unfortunately, the desserts didn't convince us either. There was no wine service, it was generally difficult to get drinks and we would have consumed a lot... what a shame! We expected a lot from a restaurant rated with 4.7 stars.

First things first: We spent a wonderful evening on Sylt in this first-class restaurant. The menu is varied, as is the wine list, and the prices are more than fair for what is on offer. We can highly recommend it!

Incredibly polite, nice and personable staff and not unpleasant in any way. The food is in no way inferior. I have never eaten such delicious fish. Unfortunately there are only five stars to give. Absolute recommendation for a lovely evening.

4.7 stars - what for?! We were very surprised by the first question; whether we would like several courses at 8:15 p.m. We answered the question in the negative and were actually assigned a table without a reservation. Afterwards, even the friendliness of the serving staff couldn't disguise the simplicity of the food served. Anyone who can't get a crispy fried skin on a fish fillet and a saltimbocca that tastes like it comes from a commercial kitchen is completely overrated with 4.7 stars.

Cozy restaurant, great service, very friendly and attentive staff, perfect service (glass is in the right place, not intrusive), very tasty food, everything is just right here. You will even be recognized if you are only there 2 or 3 times a year. After a break of more than 2 years, we were finally back at Florjans. The food and service feel like it's gotten even better, and we think it's great that we're still recognized and welcomed. We are looking forward to the next time.

Update 1.1.24: Wir waren gestern zum Silvester Menü bei Florjan's. Es gab 7 Gänge, die allesamt sensationell gut waren. Auch unsere Tischnachbarn waren extrem begeistert. Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Wir waren heute gleich noch einmal dort und wurden wieder nicht enttäuscht. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Unser Lieblingslokal auf Sylt. Sehr leckeres Essen und vor allen Dingen ein superfreundlicher Service. Eben ein Familienbetrieb. Wir waren vor 3 Tagen da und heute geht's wieder hin.

Top Service, sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Vorspeise Tomatensuppe (sehr heiß und sehr lecker), Hauptspeise Kalbsschnitzel. Fränkisches Bier auf Sylt. Rundum zufrieden.

Fahren seit vielen Jahren schon nach sylt und ein muss ist es für uns geworden dort dann Einzukehren .Weil es sich immer wieder lohnt. Und man kann es auch ruhigen Gewissen weiter Empfehlen.

Sehr schönes Restaurant auf Sylt. Das Essen war sehr gut und auch die Preise vollkommen in Ordnung.

Wir waren erst skeptisch wegen des Wintergartens, bekamen aber einen Platz im Innenraum. Dort war es leiser und etwas kühler. Die Bedienung und das Essen waren klasse. Zum Essen gibt es eine Mischung aus lokalen und italienischen Spezialitäten. Sowohl mein Vitello Tonnato als auch die Sylter Fischplatte waren sehr lecker und hatte eine perfekte Portionsgröße.
