A truly fantastic hotel, a full 5 stars from me. It has everything you need for your well-being. A hotel's hospitality is evident even in the little things, such as the body care products. Rituals skincare products are used everywhere. Full marks here, too; we'd be happy to return.

Be careful if you travel with kids and if your German is not perfect. Broken glass on the table in the bar. Pictures of half naked women and red lights in the bar. I was not aware the spa hotel has “that” atmosphere. Also staff don’t speak much of English.

Modern & clean – ideal for business travelers, with minor drawbacks for vacationers 🏨✨ The hotel impresses with its modern design, absolute cleanliness, and professional atmosphere. The rooms are stylishly furnished, well-equipped, and offer everything you need for a comfortable stay. The comfortable bed and quiet surroundings, in particular, ensure a restful night. The hotel is perfect for business travelers: Fast Wi-Fi, practical work areas, a sauna/spa area for relaxation and unwinding, and efficient service make for a pleasant stay. The breakfast is fresh and varied. For vacationers, however, the ambience might be a bit too businesslike – it lacks a bit of charm and coziness. In conclusion: If you're looking for modern, clean, and well-organized accommodations for a business trip, this is the place for you. However, there are more suitable alternatives for a relaxing vacation. ⭐⭐⭐

I often stay at this hotel for business. Great rooms, super beds, delicious food, and very friendly staff.

I didn't like my stay. My room was run down, my bathroom was dirty and the way to my room was like a schnitzel tour.

Nice hotel with a chic location right on the river. Everything is there that is needed. Large rooms and a 20 minute walk to the train station or pub district. Underground parking available.

The hotel is located on a small mountain overlooking the Rhine. Free parking spaces are available in front of the house or you can use the in-house parking garage for an acceptable fee. The room was large and nicely decorated. Unfortunately, the bathroom had a bathtub with a shower. In our opinion, this is no longer appropriate. The pool was ok, there were enough loungers and towels. Also nice fluffy bathrobes in the room. Finding your way around the large, winding house was difficult at first. 😞 The breakfast room with a view of the Rhine is nice. At the buffet there is a lot of fuss as soon as there are more than 3 guests there. The selection could actually be a little more. Since the beds were very hard, we tried to get toppers for the double bed the next morning. Unfortunately, the room still hadn't been made at 4 p.m. When they wanted to refill the minibar, I asked for towels and the topper and looked wide-eyed. Well, a few minutes later we got new towels. A few minutes later, two employees came with a topper for one half of the bed. When I asked what would happen to the second half of the bed, my eyes were wide again 😳. So the opinion is that the topper is under the bed sheet, here it was just placed on top. We probably got to know a new variant. 🤔 When checking out they were only concerned about collecting the amount. No asking if you liked it or anything like that.

Unfortunately, the spa is very small and not particularly luxurious. Too many guests for too little space. Rather mediocre. Cleanliness is only okay. The breakfast buffet isn't 5-star either. Rooms are quite nice.

The lobby and location were initially positive. The rooms were also nice and well maintained. Unfortunately, the coffee machine in our room only worked at the socket on the bed, as the others were without electricity. The remote control didn't work either, which wasn't a big downfall, but it was also a negative. The air conditioning was a complete disaster and no matter how we adjusted it, it wasn't pleasant, which is why we tilted the window at night and left the air conditioning unused. The main point of our booking was to unwind in the spa area. Unfortunately, this was only seen as existing, but otherwise not positive. - Far too small (maximum 10 people) - Rest area is absolutely loud - Only about 4 people fit in the pool above - you have to constantly look for free places Breakfast was okay, but unfortunately no vegan alternatives (oat milk or soy yogurt) There is also no coffee machine to use. The staff was super friendly and always accommodating! Unfortunately, I came here with much higher expectations when it came to spa. Definitely recommended for the environment and service, unfortunately not recommended for Spa Only.

We were here as part of a training course. Very satisfied.

We were there for a special event. Very crowded and service was inconsistent. Food was overpriced. The new wellness area is nice, once you find it. There are better alternatives.

A fantastic hotel! Stylishly furnished, beautiful and very clean rooms, a fantastic breakfast, and a great hotel bar. We haven't had a chance to try the excellent restaurant yet. Add to that the incredibly good service from the always friendly staff. And to top it all off, the location is fantastic for exploring Mainz. Fantastic!

Leider sehr enttäuschend. Service und Küche am Valentinstag total überfordert. Alle Tische belegt und nach 2 Stunden kommt der erste Gang, das Servicepersonal wuselt solange planlos hin und her. Die letzten 3 der 6 Gänge funktionierten dann zum Glück wieder.

A very nice house with good amenities. There's ample parking, and the reception is friendly. We had a room with a park view, which meant more peace and quiet. The signage within the house takes some getting used to, but we found everything. The breakfast is excellent and leaves nothing to be desired. However, the third floor smells strongly of the swimming pool. We'd be happy to come back.

We would like to thank the Barth family for a wonderful stay. We had the opportunity to spend a very relaxing time in this hotel as a couple on a child-free weekend! The room in the Rhine Wing was neat, clean and spacious - and the view was simply fantastic! If our children had been there, they would have loved the parrots in the trees in the park and the trains passing by the old Rhine bridge. A main reason for our choice of this hotel was the new SPA area. Everything is modern and clean, there are three different saunas as well as several relaxation areas for relaxing, lying down and lazing around :-P Particularly pleasant: There are free small snacks, coffee, tea and water, which are regularly replenished. The rooftop area on the roof terrace offers a great variety with a whirlpool and another sauna - and with a view of Mainz! Simply great! The employees were consistently friendly and helpful, and there is also a lot of staff who are available at any time. The breakfast was very high quality – finally real rolls from the bakery! I didn't miss anything. FSV Mainz 05 was also in the hotel this Saturday. We didn't notice much of it, but it somehow made the stay even more exciting and shows that this hotel is something special. I gave this stay to my wife as a gift - and for couples from Mainz and the surrounding area who want to escape everyday life for a short time, this place is really a great choice! 👍🏼

Perfect hotel for business travelers – excellent service & top location I had the pleasure of staying at the Favorite Parkhotel in Mainz during my business trip and I can fully recommend it. I received a friendly welcome when I checked in and the staff were always professional and helpful. My room was modern, clean and had a fantastic view of the park. I particularly liked the comfortable bed and the quiet atmosphere - perfect for relaxing after a long day at work. The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired: a large selection of fresh, high-quality products that provided a perfect start to the day. I was also impressed by the hotel's own restaurant - culinary at a high level with excellent service. Another highlight is the wellness area with pool and sauna, which ensures pure relaxation after a strenuous day at work. The hotel's location is also ideal: quiet, but still well connected to the city center and the business district. Overall, a first-class hotel that offers the highest level of comfort and excellent service – a clear 5-star rating! I'd love to come back.

A very good hotel, my friends found this hotel on the hill. Breakfast and the stay was very pleasant.

Beautiful family hotel - in a fantastic park with room for improvement: + our pet (Labrador Elvis) was provided with a dog bed, bowl, toys and treats. That was very loving and pleasantly surprised us; the location meant you could be in the park within 1-2 minutes of your room. + the breakfast was of exceptional quality and selection. + We really liked the Christmas decorations. Exceptionally beautiful + the bed in the garden suite was great + Body lotion and shower gel from RITUALS + The breakfast area downstairs (Shushi Bar) has a great view + Sauna area: free water, tea, a very nice selection of fruits and nuts for free use + Indoor pool water was warm + enough fresh towels in the sauna and at the pool - 13 year old son was registered, but unfortunately was not taken into account. The extra bed that was then delivered was a real disgrace. The squeaky "garden lounger" was too uncomfortable and loud that the son fled to the big bed. That wasn't planned. After we requested the bed and an additional bathrobe, we assumed that the missing set of towels would also be delivered... None. - The pool was cloudy, there were clumps of hair floating in the water and the surrounds and the entire floor were dirty. - The air in the pool area was ice cold and it felt like pike soup, the seating cramped the passage. - The sauna in the basement wellness area was difficult to find. Black doors, black walls and barely legible writing on the sauna door. Unfortunately there is far too little seating in the sauna area for all sauna guests, there were used cups/glasses/fruit waste lying around everywhere (were not cleared away over a period of 75 minutes) - The breakfast area downstairs (Shushi bar) is poorly heated (surely due to the very large window front). Unfortunately, we were very cold there despite wearing a warm sweatshirt.

A great place for me. It's kind of like coming home now!

Unfortunately not recommended because the booking process and the behavior towards guests is a disaster. We stated when booking that we wanted a reservation in both the restaurant and the SPA. 3 days before arrival, we were informed that there were no more appointments available in both areas. How can it be that you indicate when booking that you would like to book something additional and then it is canceled at such short notice? And for >200€ per night. This is not good customer service and should be reconsidered given the hotel's standards.

As a guest at a private celebration at your hotel from December 8th to 9th, 2024, I would like to give you my feedback. Based on my many years of experience in the event sector, I was particularly disappointed by the lack of support for small groups. While larger events were taking place at the same time, our celebration was neglected and made the preparations on site at your home very difficult for us. The waiting times for service staff were far too long. Some of the hotel rooms were not clean and either too cold or too warm and queries at reception were ignored due to a lack of staff. I cannot recommend an event at your company to anyone due to the points mentioned above.

Worst experience ever at Favorite Hotel Mainz. Management only seems to care about one-time guests, and they’re shockingly rude. Our December 2024 family function was a nightmare: I’d booked a separate room since August, but upon arrival, we were told to use a crowded restaurant or find another venue—just one day before the event! Staff either looked afraid or just shrugged off complaints, and other guests seemed equally frustrated. We’ve traveled extensively and have never been treated so poorly. The hotel’s condition is unacceptable: • Dust bunnies under all beds • Spider webs on hallway ceilings • Carpets never vacuumed during our four-day stay • Broken or missing bathroom mirrors • Loose sockets, poorly maintained fridge freezers • No help with luggage, slow elevators • Housekeeping ignored “Do Not Disturb” signs Heating and cooling didn’t work in any of our five rooms. We were told no technician was available, and staff seemed uninterested in finding solutions. Two rooms were freezing (one eventually got a heater), while others were unbearably hot—yet at checkout we were still charged a daily “energy cost surcharge.” Planes thunder overhead starting at 6 a.m., so you can’t sleep if you need a window open for fresh air. Parties in the function room can rock the fourth floor until the early hours, and complaints fall on deaf ears. Worse, when I reminded them I’d reserved a separate event room with extra tables for gifts and a craft project, a manager bluntly said if I didn’t like the crowded restaurant, I could cancel and go elsewhere. Only a kind staff member eventually helped us get a private space at the last minute. The restaurant was also understaffed: we waited 45 minutes just for second drink orders. Another member of our party was treated rudely while booking a room, too. All in all, this place is a far cry from real hospitality. Management prioritizes large corporate or sports events, while individual guests are treated with indifference—or worse. If you want cleanliness, courtesy, and a decent night’s sleep, look elsewhere. Nobody deserves this kind of treatment from a hotel.

Somehow a lot is wanted here but not always done well. If the service staff, especially in the bar, loudly regulate things in front of the guests, it doesn't work well. And most of the staff are standing around and are not guests. The service on New Year's Eve was very good. The wellness area is so-so. But here too there is a problem. If you spill them on the floor when filling the bowls with raisins, then they don't belong back in the bowl.

The room, a suite with a balcony, could have been cleaned more thoroughly as there were still residues on the floor and in the toilet. The heating didn't work during our stay, an issue also mentioned by other guests. The hotel staff provided us with a small radiator, but it could only heat the room to a limited extent. Orientation in the hotel was a bit difficult due to the winding corridors, but this also provided one or two amusing moments for the guests. The tasteful furnishings of the rooms should be positively highlighted, especially the comfortable bed, which ensured a restful night. The food in the hotel and the sauna area were also excellent and highly recommended. The hotel staff was mostly young. Despite occasional insecurities, they always acted in a friendly manner and tried to ensure that their guests had a pleasant stay. Overall we had a nice stay and would come again.

I was very satisfied, it really has everything your heart desires here. The new spa area in particular is great and my girlfriend and I were sometimes the only ones there - so it felt very luxurious / I'll definitely be back!

The hotel is located right on the train track, which means it is noisy even at night. The wellness options are clear, the dinner was okay. The room was clean.

Room near a ventilation shaft from the swimming pool. It rustled all night long. Our comment the next day that this was unpleasant and certainly problematic in the summer with the windows open was ignored. No response from reception. It's a shame actually.

Great view out the window but this was far from a 5-star experience, for a number of reasons. On the first morning we were unexpectedly charged 30 Euros to have breakfast delivered to the room. We booked the room with breakfast and room service included so we shouldn't have been charged for this. In addition the breakfast checklist sheet in the room did not itemise or indicate that we would be charged additionally for this 'service'. Also, our room was not cleaned or made up at all on Xmas day, despite being vacant all day, and we received no apology for this. The elevator was not working when we checked out, so we had to do 2 trips down the stairs from the 4th floor. Again no apology and staff were unhelpful when we complained about these things, but finally agreed to waive the breakfast charge when we asked to speak to a manager. It shouldn't come to this folks, the details matter - please do better.

The business area was cold and not nice

Seminar participants Coffee machines don't work properly in the morning. Milk for the coffee was replenished upon request. No saucers. No trash can for tea bags, sugar packets, etc. Instead of spoons, there are disposable wooden sticks...but there are terry cloth towels that can be used once in the toilets (that doesn't go together for me). Cups are not cleared away during the break. Service staff seems rather unfriendly and listless. Unfortunately, the food was only refilled upon request and too late. The technician was there quickly and took care of the technology. Very tight underground parking lot.

Classic modern, good breakfast. The location is good, about a 15 minute walk into town. Very nice wellness facility with swimming pool, sauna, etc. Gladly again.

Very nice hotel, friendly staff, nice wellness areas, nice bar. We were there at a time when there was little crowd, it may be that the wellness areas are a bit small when they are fully occupied... The location at the city park not far from the old town and the Römisches train station Theater is very good!

I booked the Favorite Parkhotel to provide catering for a congress event in Mainz (250 participants). The preparation and follow-up were very professional and competent and all individual requests were taken into account. The quality of the food was excellent and all the staff on site looked after the event very well. I can only recommend the Favorite Parkhotel and would work with the company again in the future.

Super nice rooms...very nice staff...great breakfast

Very nice hotel, clean room. Unfortunately the remote control didn't work, new batteries were brought to us, unfortunately without success. It was a shame that they couldn't bring us another remote control, so the television didn't work. Furthermore, the whirlpool on the roof terrace was also broken, the water was ice cold and we were told that the technician wouldn't come until tomorrow. That was a shame because we were only there for one night.

Falls below the standard its reputation implies! Attending a company christmas party last night at the FAVORITE Parkhotel Mainz. The quality of the buffet food was really poor: Soup far too sweet, goulash was almost inedible, and Spaetzle was all dried up. There was a lack of waiting staff, and mini-bar in the Plastic tent ran out of beer at 19:45. Even more troubling was the presence of a cockroach in the men's restroom, raising serious concerns about hygiene standards. Never again - not recommened.

Very chic hotel...great sauna area. Small but nice. Sufficient breakfast. The way to the old town can be walked in 20 minutes. We'd love to come back!

Mixed review. The 2 nights were nice because we planned to spend time together here. The hotel meets the requirements for this (nice rooms, large park, Rhine nearby, spa area…). Unfortunately, there are always small details that are negative points: sink clogged, soap empty, spa area too small, overcrowded and partially out of order, smell in the restaurant.

At this price level I expect more service. I have felt rejected there several times. Now that I'm writing this, I'm actually wondering why I let myself do this several times.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights over the weekend. Positive: - very nice location by the water with a park and playground nearby - The city center is easily accessible on foot and the running path also leads beautifully along the river - The hotel looks nice from the outside Negative: - Hotel is run down and unkempt in many places (peeling paint, cracks in the walls, etc.) - Cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired both in the rooms and in many places in the hotel. We travel a lot to hotels of all kinds, but this one stands out negatively in terms of cleanliness. Bathroom joints are moldy, shower glass wall hasn't been cleaned, I cleaned the toilet myself, etc. The rest of the hotel (e.g. pool) makes a dingy and outdated impression. For example, the swimming pool is full of algae around the edges. - Room size is otherwise good, you can hear the train traffic and planes. - Food and drinks in the restaurant were good but very expensive. Service at the bar mediocre. Overall, the price-performance ratio wasn't right for us.

A very comfortable hotel at a beautiful location near the centre of Mainz (30 minutes walking - 10 minutes by bus/car). Easy accessible by car and with a view over the park. Ideal for conferences and business meetings.

Recommended to a limited extent... Actually nicely located near the Rhine on the edge of a park. Unfortunately, it is also located in the flight path of Frankfurt Airport and directly next to busy train tracks. Ear plugs are therefore recommended! The catering staff was very friendly, which could only be partially said about the other areas. Room service revised, reception moody and partly revised. Among other things, you have to sign when checking in that you are aware that you are not allowed to eat or drink anything in the room unless you order hotel food to your room or use the minibar. The hotel is mainly used by business people (like me)/conferences. The wellness vacationers come on the weekend. These include a beautiful swimming pool, but also a whirlpool in which only one jet currently works and a sauna that is often only turned up to full power (90 degrees) upon request. Half an hour before the end of the sauna, a clean-up team arrives to tell you that it's almost closing time. Then everything is loudly cleared away for about 15 minutes, regardless of the guests looking for relaxation. They should go anyway, which is why the sauna is already turned down. Breakfast is good, restaurants are high quality and expensive. You can be lucky or unlucky with the rooms. Renovated with a decent mattress or with cracks in the ceiling and a sagging spring mattress. The pillows have hardly any filling. You lie very flat. Changing rooms is hardly possible as it is often fully booked. The heating (via air conditioning) didn't work in several rooms and sometimes switched itself off when you turned up the temperature. The problem was known to the home craftsman. Hotel very branched out, wellness areas poorly or not at all signposted. Parking situation in front of the hotel is good. You can often save on underground parking fees. I would give the hotel three stars and only recommend it for business people or to just have a good meal when you are in Mainz.

If you don't have 3 huge trees in front of your balcony, you could have seen something of the rose garden and park. Otherwise very nice hotel, great service and very attentive staff

Mittlerweile sind wir Stammgast im Favorite Gourmet Restaurant und wurden bis dato noch nie enttäuscht. Die Küche von Tobias Schmitt ist auf einem absoluten TOP Niveau und man wird kulinarisch mit frischen Produkten verwöhnt. Alleine die Grüße aus der Küche und die Brotauswahl sind schon ein Essen im Gourmet Restaurant wert. Jeder Gang ist fantastisch angerichtet und ist eine echte Augenweide. Die Speisen sind ein geschmackvolles Highlight und ein tolles Zusammenspiel verschiedener Geschmäcker. Was auch ein Vorteil ist, dass man die Gänge der verschiedenen Menüs miteinander kombinieren kann, so dass für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei ist. Die Zeit zwischen den Gängen ist angemessen und man hat nicht das Gefühl das man schnell essen muss und kann jeden Gang in vollen Zügen genießen. Auch das Pre-Desert und die kostenlosen Pralinen zum Café ist immer extrem geschmackvoll. Die Weinkarte ist sehr ausgeglichen und hier wird jeder Weinliebhaber fündig. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam ohne dabei aufdringlich zu wirken. Das Ambiente ist mit der super Sommerterrasse wirklich sehr schön und man fühlt sich hier direkt wohl. Alles in Allem ein perfektes Restaurant und eine absolute Empfehlung!

On the recommendation of colleagues, I booked the FAVORITE Parkhotel this time - and will definitely book it more often in the future! A really nice, clean and tidy hotel where you immediately feel at home. There's still a lot left to discover: the outdoor terraces, the star restaurant, the beer garden and the rooftop spa are still on the list for my next visit. The room offers a spacious sleeping, living and working area, equipped with a bathtub, shower, separate toilet and underfloor heating in the bathroom. A comfortable queen-size bed, a coffee capsule machine, air conditioning and a balcony complete the whole thing. Dinner in the Favorite Restaurant was also great – delicious food and convincing service. The hotel's underground car park is also practical, although with a bit of luck you can park right in front of the door. A really nice hotel that I would be happy to book again for both personal and business purposes.

Stayed in this house for one night during the vintage car rally. Was very good. Friendly staff. Beautiful renovated rooms. The only thing is that the train line is a bit noisy at night with the window open and the new rooms don't actually need a bathtub, just a shower. Thank you, it was good.

You sit comfortably in the shade. The food was very tasty, the service was friendly and attentive.

Guten Tag, Große Vorfreude und leider total Enttäuscht worden. Vorab wir kamen zum Restaurant und wurden von einer Kellnerin gefragt ob wir die Toiletten suchen würden? Da wir dachten es wäre ein Spaß lachten wir (sowohl mein Mann, wie ich waren sehr fein gekleidet) jedoch meinte die Dame das anscheinend ernst und reagierte seltsam als wir ihr sagten, dass wir hier essen möchten. Endlich am Tisch angekommen der nächste Schock, der Biergarten direkt unter der Terrasse war unglaublich laut und hat die Stimmung direkt gestört. Nachdem wir dann die Karte in den Händen hatten und unser Menü gewählt haben warteten wir dann je mindestens eine HALBE STUNDE bis die einzelnen Gänge serviert wurden (wir waren von 20:00 bis 23:30 Uhr da mit nur 4 Gängen). Die Gänge an sich waren ebenfalls extrem enttäuschend…. Geschmacklich hat vieles nicht zusammengepasst und manches war eher ungenießbar. Mein Mann hat seinen Hauptgang sogar zurückgehen lassen. Das leckerste war die Nachspeise, diese war sehr erfrischend und gelungen. Ich war bis zum heutigen Tage schon in mehreren Restaurants dieser Klasse und für 175€ das Menü einfach unglaublich. Nicht nur der Geschmack sondern auch wie klein die Portionen sind, selbst für mich eine eher kleinere Frau ist es nicht möglich damit an das Sättigungsgefühl heranzukommen. Kommen wir zum Personal, noch nie habe ich so ein unerfahrenes und unprofessional Personal gesehen, für ein Restaurant der Klasse undenkbar. Die Ober waren zwar sehr nett und sie haben uns bedient so gut sie konnten, jedoch wurde sich mehrmals versprochen, gestottert, etc und aufmerksam waren sie leider auch eher weniger. Unsere Gläser waren oft leer und wir haben bis zu 10 Minuten gewartet bis endlich abgeräumt wurde, ebenso hatten mein Mann und ich nicht nur einmal das Gefühl alleine gelassen zu werden. Schade! Kurzer Zusatz: Mein Mann hatte zwei winzige gewürzte Karotten und mit winzig meine ich so klein wie mein kleiner Finger und halb so dünn. Da frage ich mich wie ein Mann bei sowas satt werden soll und nicht mit leeren Magen nach Hause geht. Leider eine sehr negative Erfahrung, jedoch haben wir immerhin am Ende einen kleinen Erlass erhalten. Nach meinen Jahren des Gourmet Essens sehr schade. LG

It's comfortable. Large rooms, breakfast buffet, and location in a park along the Rhine! Service is general and no problems. There is also a rooftop jacuzzi and sauna, an underground pool, and rental bikes. About 2km from the center of Mainz.

We visited the Favorite Parkhotel as part of a wellness trip. There are two different spa areas. In one there are various saunas, steam baths and infrared. There is a snack corner and some loungers. Unfortunately there aren't that many loungers. There is a rooftop spa on the roof. A roof terrace with a whirlpool in the middle, a sauna, a small sports area and also a few loungers. There is a small refrigerator here that you can use for a fee or you can have something brought to you from the bar on the ground floor. The hotel also has a pool. Our package included a shuttle to Laubenheimer Höhe including a three-course menu. In the evening we visited the hotel bar. And enjoyed the hotel breakfast in the morning. There is a good selection of food and drinks here. The location of the hotel is very nice but right on the railway line. The staff was always very friendly, although it took a little longer to check in and out. All in all we were satisfied and would come back.

I was there with a friend for one night. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay. ● Parking: there are parking spaces directly in front of the hotel and a small, narrow underground car park (more suitable for smaller vehicles). ● Arrival: we were warmly welcomed at reception. We were given the room cards and given directions to the room. Next to the reception there is a small, free “coffee bar” for refreshment. ● Room: our room was accessible by elevator (which only works with a room card). It was a modern and clean room, which was equipped with bathrobes and slippers for the wellness area. ● Wellness: there is a whirlpool, some loungers and a textile sauna on the roof of the hotel. The "real" wellness area is located in the lower area and is equipped with a textile-free sauna, a steam bath and an infrared sauna, a few loungers, hanging chairs and a couch. Very modern and stylish furnishings including snacks and drinks. We also booked a full body massage, which is definitely recommended! Very professional handling and pure relaxation (only one person possible at a time. You can book a time slot at reception). There is also a swimming pool with numerous sun loungers (high humidity). ● Dinner/wine bar: we booked a 3-course menu in advance. We were shown to our place in a friendly manner and received very good service. The food was very tasty and descriptive. In the end we were well full. Afterwards we sat down at the wine bar and all of our wishes were immediately implemented. The cocktails were very tasty and well made. The service was very friendly and you could end the evening well. ●Departure: Since we wrote all the drinks in the room, we still had to pay the bill when checking out. Everything went smoothly and quickly. Overall, a very nice and quiet hotel with a small wellness area. Service was top and relaxation was available We'll be back!

It's a real shame to have to leave such a negative review for the Favorite Parkhotel, but unfortunately our visit was extremely disappointing. We paid a whopping 25 euros for 2 coffees and 3 scoops of ice cream. Unfortunately, the waitress only came to our table after repeated requests. In our opinion, the prices are absolutely excessive and bear no relation to the quality offered. We were really looking forward to a nice stay, but unfortunately we won't be coming back... Please definitely reconsider the prices, as they are really unreasonable in this form and understandably lead to great annoyance among guests.

A very nice hotel by the park with friendly staff. I cannot understand the negative comments made by previous speakers. We always enjoy coming to this well-kept hotel, which is perfectly located for Mainz, every year, even if it is not directly on our travel route. You can walk to downtown Mainz and can choose to walk directly along the Rhine or through the adjacent park. The staff is very professional and friendly, the rooms are clean and renovated. A room with a balcony and a view of the park and the Rhine is recommended. The breakfast is varied and high quality. The spa area on the roof terrace has always been an eye-catcher, the recently completely renovated spa and sauna area on the ground floor is far nicer than the one in the Arosa Hotel Travemünde and rounds off the very good impression of the hotel. My three children also get their money's worth here, so the stopover in Mainz is always a very nice experience and we voluntarily extend our stay. When you leave you can take a free coffee to go in your car, one of the many little details that make this house so extraordinary. A free shuttle service to the associated and highly recommended restaurant “laubenheimer Höhe” is also part of the service. We have already experienced a lot of hotels on our national and international trips, the Hotel Favorite in Mainz stands out extremely positively and can be recommended without reservation.

Nice room, nice hotel, good wellness area but the service leaves a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, the staff didn't seem very helpful to us. We arrived as a group, had a booking with several rooms and stated that we would like the rooms together. Unfortunately, a room was still very far away and when we asked whether the room could be changed, we were shown little understanding and brushed us off without checking the system. What a shame! We also asked in advance by phone whether they could reserve a table for ten people for breakfast. This wasn't possible either, which was annoying and a shame for a group vacation. The friendliness of the breakfast staff also leaves something to be desired. Less suitable for a holiday for two as a group!

Nice big rooms. Very good individual service. I was particularly pleased with the vegan sausage and cheese alternatives for breakfast. Oat milk was also available upon request from the friendly breakfast service staff. I loved the flamingos in the adjacent park and the hot tub on the roof. There was good cardio equipment in the gym. I would love to come back!

Negative reviews cannot be confirmed. We booked a balcony room through SecretEscape and were completely satisfied. The location on the edge of the park was ideal and you could walk into the city center.

Best all-round catering for a seminar. Location of the hotel excellent. Quiet near the Volkspark and still close to the center. Easy to reach by bus. However, seminar rooms are not soundproof! Loud event with music and microphone in the next room had a significant impact on our seminar.

All in all a very decent hotel.

Had lunch with star chef Tobias Schmitt. It was outstanding in terms of the composition of the menu, the quality of the food, the attention to detail in the arrangement, etc. It was a very special experience in a great atmosphere with outstanding service. The super competent service staff fulfill every wish and present the individual courses, so that our mouths were watering... Also the combination of the wines including the successful conclusion: espresso with homemade chocolates. Everything was just great, a delicious meal, we enjoyed every bite. Highly, highly recommended...

Vor der Ankunft im Speiseraum kann man rechter Hand beobachten, wie Thomas Schmitt als Küchenchef seine Mannschaft so orchestriert, dass jede Person auf die Sekunde genau ihren Einsatz mit Präzision vollendet. Was dann auf den Tisch kommt, zeigt von Meisterschaft des gesamten Teams. Ein Vielfalt unterschiedlicher Produkte kontrastiert auf dem Teller, fügt sich aber stets zu feiner Harmonie zusammen. Auch die Auswahl der Produkte ist vielfach überraschend, stets aber gelungen. Die beiden Menus, Roots als die Wurzel des Kochens, und Blossem, die moderne Küche, sind beide gleichermaßen zu empfehlen. Wer denn will, kann auch ein vegetarisches Menu wählen. Der Service ist ebenfalls hervorragend. Die Weinkarte ist riesig ausgestattet mit einem Schwergewicht auf Rheinhessen und den Rheingau. Der Blick des modern eingerichteten und angenehmen Raumes richtet den Blick auf den Rhein und den Stadtpark .

Wir haben einen Gutschein geschenkt bekommen und haben im Sternerestaurant ein 4 gang menü bestellt. Nach einem exzellenten Aperitif ging es mit dem ersten Gruß aus der küche los, ein zweiter folgte und dann auch noch zwei sorten brot mit olivenöl und butter. War alles vorzüglich, jeder Biss ein Genuss. Das Menü hieß "From roots to blossom" und war fanastisch, die vorgeschlagene weinbegleitung passte perfekt. Der Servicemann war sehr freundlich und kompetent, hat alles perfekt erklärt und auf alle unsere wünsche reagiert. Perfekt auch der Abschluss, Espresso mit selbstgemachten Pralinen ein Gedicht. Es war ein super Dinner, wir sind überwältigt! Ein bis zweimal im jahr sollte man sich einen besuch beim Sternekoch leisten, denn das Dinner war jeden Euro wert. Vielen Dank ans ganze Team

Beautiful modern room in the Rhine wing. Minibar available and Nespresso machine. Unfortunately no free Nespresso capsules and no free water as a welcome. Breakfast buffet was okay and could have been a little more extensive. I missed an egg station that prepares eggs in all variations according to your wishes. We did not test the spa area or restaurant.

Great hotel, when we arrived we had a first negative impression, for example: the entrance to the TG doesn't work and other little things. The hotel is truly exceptional. Great service. A star restaurant. Top roof wellness and an individual designer. Gladly again.

The hotel is rather traditional, but that is also part of its charm. The location in the middle of the city park is very nice. The service upon arrival is extremely friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. The bed is extremely comfortable. One small point of criticism - the coffee capsules from the machine provided cost €1.50 each. Usually the first three to four capsules are always free in other hotels.

The double room was extremely strange: the bathroom adjoins the bedroom, separated only by a wall with a huge window!!! So you have no privacy in the bathroom!!! Undisturbed washing or showering - none. The viewing window cannot be closed with a roller blind from the bathroom or bedroom or covered with a shower towel. I've been to many hotels, but I've never experienced such nonsense. Something like this might be appropriate for a swingers club, but not in a dignified hotel.

Bis auf die Wlan Qualität gibt es eingentlich nichts zu bemängeln. Wir konnten nur das sehr schöne Frühstück geniessen. Wlan war in unserem Zímmer überhaupt nicht erreichbar bzw. sehr schlechte Qualität. Mir wurde empfohlen am Empfang zu arbeiten da sei es besser. So war es dann auch!

Die Zimmer sind schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Zimmer zur Straße sind durch den Verkehr schon laut. Besser ein Zimmer zum Park nehmen. Das Weihnachtsmenü war hervorragend. Das Frühstück ist auch gut. Die Lage des Hotels ist ansonsten sehr schön, durch den Park und dann an der Zitadelle entlang ist man in einer guten Viertelstunde zu Fuß in der Altstadt. Auch die zum Hotel dazugehörende Laubenheimer Hütte ist einen Besuch wert. Sollte man aber mit dem Auto oder einem Taxi hinfahren.

The room was old, smelled weirdly, and made us sneeze a lot. The TV stopped working. There wasn't a kettle to boil water for tea, and to use the coffee machine, you must pay for each capsule. The breakfast is nice.

Da gibt es nicht viel zu berichten, wir lieben Mainz u wir lieben das Hotel, mit all seinen Annehmlichkeiten. Klar ist der Saunabereich im UG etwas älter, aber es hat funktioniert . Das Personal ist super wie die Lage vom Hotel u das Essen. DIE WEINBAR IST EIN MUSS U ÜBER D REGION ZU EMPFEHLEN. LG an das Gesamteteam u ein tolles 2024.

Schönes ruhig gelegenes Hotel in mitten des Mainzer Volkspark.

Wir waren zur Silvester Feier dort und hatten einen sehr schönen Abend dort. Die Tische waren festlich eingedeckt und dekoriert. Das Essen war lecker und die Weinauswahl hervorragend. Jederzeit gerne wieder

Wann habe ich Hotel dieser Kategorie schon einmal 2 Punkte gegeben? Noch nie. Aber in diesem Fall muss ich es einfach machen mit dem Blick auf die vermisste Nachhaltigkeit, verbunden mit der Hoffnung, dass sich hier bzgl. Enwrgie extrem etwas ändert, und nun natürlich kurz begründet, warum: Wir kommen bei 12 Grad Celsius Aussentemperatur in die wirklich schicke und schöne Lobby, haben aber sofort das Gefühl, eine Sauna zu betreten. "Ok" denke ich, leider läuft hier die Heizung auf vollen Touren, ohne die Außentemperatur zu berücksichtigen. Also erst einmal Jacken aus und einchecken. Wie immer meine freundliche Frage: "Kann ich bei Ihnen mein E-Auto laden und wenn ja, was kostet es?" Die freundliche Antwort: ja, können Sie. Kostet aber 7€/ Stunde zzgl. Parkgebühr. Oha, denke ich, das ist kein Willkommensservice für CO2-reflektierte Fahrer, denn 65 ct/ kWh zzgl. Standgebühren ist nicht das, was ich von anderen Hotels kenne (max. 20€/ Nacht und 35 ct/kWh). Aber kein Problem, ist ja ein Tesla und der nächste Supercharger für 30 ct am Folgetag gehört uns. Dann hoch ins Zimmer und erst einmal Hände waschen. Aber was war das schon wieder? Eine sehr warme - nicht regelbare bzw. abschaltbare Heizlampe über dem Waschbecken heizt mir sofort die Schädeldecke auf. Ok denke ich, was für eine Energieverschwendung, wenn bei jedem Lochtanschaltrn auch die Wärmelsmpe glüht, und schaue mir deshalb direkt auch alle Leuchtmittel des Raumes an: alles Halogen und somit weitere Energievernichter. Hat mich gewundert, aber "ok" dachte ich mir, die scheinen es sich hier - was Strom angeht - leisten zu können. Kurz vor dem Besuch des Weihnachtsmarktes dann noch schnell geduscht. Was soll ich sagen: wer hier den Hahn aus Versehen voll aufdreht, der verschwendet das Duschwasser bei einem Duschvorgang, was andere nicht in einer Woche benötigen. Und wieder dachte ich: "Die können es sich scheinbar leisten..... " Am nächsten Morgen dann beim Checkout folgende Situation, die ich nicht weiter kommentieren werde: "Was bekommen Sie noch für die Übernachtung?" "Also, das Zimmer hatten Sie ja bereits im Vorfeld bezahlt, in der Weinbar haben Sie noch 41,20 € verzehrt und dann bekommen wir noch einen Energiekostenzuschlag von 5 € von Ihnen."

Zimmer ok, im Eingangsbereich funktionierte die Kaffeemaschine nicht und beim Frühstücksbuffet war nichts beschriftet. Ich musste nachfragen was kein Schweinefleisch war.

Schönes Hotel, guter Service und ein schöner Spa Bereich zum Wohlfühlen

Schönes Hotel, leckeres Frühstück und Abendessen. Der Wellnessbereich ist nicht sehr gemütlich. Keine Entspannung im Ruhebereich. Alles sehr klein. Könnte auch mal renoviert werden.

Wir waren schon oft im Sternerestaurant essen. Dieses ist auch wirklich gut und verfügt über einen guten Service. Dieses Mal wollten wir auch im Hotel übernachten und freuten uns auf den "neuen" Spa-Bereich. Leider wurden unsere Erwartungen enttäuscht. Das Zimmer ist schön, nur das Bad müsste einmal neu gestrichen werden. Aber das große Manko ist der Wellnessbereich. Der Spabereich ist zweigeteilt. Der größere Bereich befindet sich im Keller und ist deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Bereits im Flur riecht es nach Chlor. Die Saunen sind alt und haben keine Fenster nach draußen. Es hat den Flair einer Kellerdisko aus den 80er Jahren. Der Spabereich auf dem Dach ist schön aber sehr klein. Hier gibt es auch nur eine Sauna (oder ggf. auch nur eine Wärmekabine) mit nur sehr wenigen Plätzen. Aufgrund der Größe des Hotels bekommt man hier kaum einen Platz. Aus der Sauna schaut man direkt auf einen Standard-Whirlpool. Der Bereich wird zudem überwiegend textil genutzt. Mehr Spa gibt es auf dem Dach nicht. Übrigens: Es gibt auf dem Dach keine Duschen oder Ruheräume, sondern nur den Vorraum und angrenzend den Fitnessbereich. Bei Regen steht man daher sprichwörtlich im Regen. Bei einem Hotel dieser Güteklasse erwartet man einfach einen besseren Welnessbereich... Zudem die Bilder auf der Homepage an Täuschung grenzen.

Het eten en drinken in het hotel is extreem duur. Fles water voor 9.50 euro is absurd. Kamer is netjes en ruim. Locatie op 2 km van centrum en in een park is prima.

Leider mehr Schein als Sein. Die Lage ist großartig und der Lobbybereich außerordentlich geschmackvoll und modern. Leider scheint man sich ein wenig hinter angestaubter Prestige in Form vom Fußballverein und dem Sternerestaurant zu verstecken. Die Zimmer sind gut, leider völlig überheizt, wie das gesamte restliche Hotel. Die WLAN Anbindung war so schlecht wie schon lange nicht mehr, die Netzwerkbuchsen in den Zimmern leider nicht geschaltet. Gutes Frühstück und vermutlich gutes Essen. Leider grenzt es bei der "Saunalandschaft" an böswillige Täuschung. Das Pressematerial suggeriert, dass Saunalandschaft und Rooftop Whirlpool/Sauna eins sind. Dem ist jedoch nicht so. Die eigentliche Saunalandschaft ist am anderen Ende des Hotels im Keller und war vermutlich zur Eröffnung schon veraltet. Inzwischen ist sie auch noch in die Jahre und dementsprechend heruntergekommen. Der Rooftop-Bereich besteht aus einer Infrarotsauna mit Vorraum und dauerhaft belegten, zu wenig Liegen. Der Whirlpool ist eben genau das, ein vier Personen Standard Whirlpool. Sonst gibt es da oben nichts, noch nicht einmal Toiletten oder eine ausreichende Anzahl Duschen. Alles in allem OK, aber nicht für den Preis, und nicht unter der Wellness/Spa-Illusion.
