A really great restaurant. Luckily we got in without a reservation on Boxing Day. The staff was super friendly and very nice. The food tastes very good in terms of price/performance ratio and the plates are very well filled. All in all we really liked it.

We had a lovely evening in Faustus' courtyard. After about 20 mulled wine and 4 beers, my wife had to go to the toilet and then we wanted to leave. A waitress ran after her out into the cold and said she had been to the bathroom “several times.” That was a lie because she was first. Honestly, dear Faustus, do you feel the need to chase your gods for €1? We sit outdoors with you every summer and now we had to meet such an “annoying” employee... that was very embarrassing for us. We are considering coming back to you in the future. Once again for your information, if you serve drinks in your yard, you are obliged to provide a toilet. It's sad that you then run after your "guests"!

Worth 5 stars!!! The atmosphere is simply great – we sat comfortably under the heaters and were able to enjoy the evening to the fullest. The staff? Super friendly, attentive and warm! Our dog was immediately provided with a water bowl - it's rare to find such hospitality. And the food… simply heavenly! The steak was grilled to perfection and every component was seasoned perfectly. Nice location right on the Krämerbrücke, lots of places outside, stylish ambience inside, prices reasonable. However, when asked, the waitress should know what the soup of the day is... Otherwise everything is OK.

A really nice evening at Faustus. A highlight of the evening was definitely the savage Asian man who recommended the “Faustus” schnitzel to us. His recommendation was a hit, the schnitzel topped with hearty ragout fin was crispy, tender and simply delicious! The Saxon accent caused a few laughs and brightened up the evening. The entire team is also very well-coordinated, fast service, attentive and yet pleasantly unobtrusive. A big compliment to the barman, whose drinks really impressed us - Haus Willi in particular is highly recommended! All in all, a thoroughly successful evening. I'd love to come back!

We spent a long weekend in Erfurt and ended up at Faustus by chance - and we were thrilled! An incredibly attentive and friendly service. The food tastes really good and is always served in a completely reasonable time. We were there again and were even recognized straight away. Really impressive! In any case, we can absolutely recommend this restaurant! The service would actually be six stars!

A restaurant where you can feel the art of gastronomy! Although we didn't eat there, it was a treat to experience a perfectly served Ricard. You immediately notice that there are restaurateurs at work here who know their craft. The attention to detail and the professional service make the stay something special. Such hospitality is rare and will be remembered!

Grill und Imbiss unbedingt besuchen! (Nebeneingang, hinter dem Restaurant). Mitten im Touristen-Rummel eine Oase der Gemütlichkeit. Es gibt nur eine kleine Auswahl an Speisen, dafür schmeckt es umso besser. Der hausgemachte Kartoffelsalat ist einmalig. Marcel und Wolfgang sind echte Orginale und kümmern sich gekonnt um das Wohlergehen der Gäste.

We had the pleasure of dining in this restaurant again today and were thrilled from start to finish. The ambience is inviting and stylish, just the right place to feel comfortable and enjoy the evening. The food was excellent - as always! Every dish we ordered was freshly prepared and tasted great. We find the creativity of the kitchen particularly impressive, combining classic dishes with modern accents. The portions were generous and beautifully presented. The service was also first class. The staff was friendly, attentive and listened to our every need. Our order was taken quickly and the waiting times were pleasantly short. I would particularly like to highlight the atmosphere in the restaurant as positive. There was a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, which made every evening a completely successful experience. I can only recommend this restaurant. If you're looking for delicious food in a nice atmosphere, you definitely won't be disappointed here. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

We got the card quickly, but unfortunately we weren't served. The table next door arrived shortly after us and was served. The other table next to us was billed and the waitress walked past us every time. After 15 minutes we left because we didn't want to wait any longer.

Nach längerer Zeit besuchten wir wieder einmal das Restaurant "Faustus" in der Altstadt von Erfurt. Das Personal erlebten wir sehr sehr freundlich und auch fürsorglich. Auch wurde die Zubereitung der Speisen im Rahmen einer geeigneten Speisenauswahl ausführlich und sehr kompetent erklärt. In diesem Moment haben wir uns sofort wieder heimisch und auch wohl gefühlt. Die gesamte Atmosphäre war für uns sehr wohltuend. Das Schnitzel und auch das Würzfleisch waren sehr sehr lecker. Halt eben nach Hausmannskost zubereitet und auch nicht an nötigen Gewürzen wie Butter usw. gespart. Dieses Restaurant gehört zu den besten Gaststätten von Erfurt. Und wenn wir das empfehlen,dann hat es einen Wert. Weil wir sind Erfurter,wohnen in der Altstadt und besuchen in Absnden alle Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe unserer Altstadt.

Good Bratwurst and tasty homemade potato salad, apparently from the 95 year old mother of the house. It was really good so wouldn’t doubt that this is true. A little bit pricey for the self serve nature of the outdoor beer garden. 45€ for 4 people with 2 Bratwurst in a bun, and one Bratwurst and small fillet with potato salad and one non-alcoholic drink each.

gutes und reichhaltiges Essen, freundliche Bedienung; wenn da nicht ein kleines Detail stören würde; die Einrichtung ist hochwertig -aber - wir hatten eine Tisch für 5 Personen reserviert, ich hatte den Platz auf der Bank, sprich am Kopfende, es war so eng, dass ich kaum zu meinem Platz kam und jetzt wohin mit den Beinen und den Füßen? Dieser Umstand hat uns das Abendessen etwas verleidet; der Wirt sollte einmal mit seinen Mitarbeitern meine Kritik durch eigenes Erleben nachvollziehen können. Alles in allem war es für uns dennoch ein gelungener Abend - aber setzen Sie nie wieder 5 Leute in eine solche Enge. (übrigens, das Innenlokal war fast leer)

While strolling through the city we ended up in Faustus. What we ordered arrived wrong, you could tell that there were three ladies serving a table and they were a bit overwhelmed. Kindness was out of place. It wasn't even full that you could have said, OK, good with the rush. The prices are very high and not justified. It's actually a shame for the location and the city of Erfurt

Food was good, and service was attentive, but waiter was very pushy, asking how we would like to pay the tip, cash or card, and then a parting comment thanking me for the very large tip. As we left a little over 10% I presume this was sarcasm.

What can you say: everything is perfect. Nice and good team. Great food and fair prices.

Wir bekamen zwar schnell die Karte aber erst auf Hinweise nach 15 Minuten kam der genervte und mürrische Junge Kellner an unseren Tisch. auf Frage ob das jetzt so weiter geht, oder er das jetzt schneller und netter macht, weil wir unseren Hochzeitstag feiern wollen. Packte er die Karte ein und ging einfach. Mit nicht so gutem Essen bei sehr gutem Service komme ich klar, aber sowas geht gar nicht. Schade das es keine 0 zu vergeben gibt !

A visit to Erfurt used to often include a visit to Faustus. Here you can generally eat well, enjoy yourself and the special atmosphere right on the Krämerbrücke, on the Wenigemarkt, make Faustus a hotspot in Erfurt. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio has declined in recent years. Certainly due to the general price increase, but since the portions have also become smaller, we now think twice about what we order. There are no longer fried potatoes on the menu, which are simply part of some dishes. The staff overall makes a very rushed impression. However, some waitresses are also very on the ball and try to make the guests' stay in the restaurant pleasant in terms of service. However, the expectations of tips seem to be higher ;) The restaurant is in a historic building, so there is a lack of accessibility. People with walking difficulties have to walk up very steep stairs to the toilets. At least there are handrails. Wheelchair users can only sit in the outdoor area; going to the toilet must take place somewhere else. Will we continue to eat at Faustus in the future? Perhaps. But please put fried potatoes on the menu again!! In any case, the beer is still just as good as it used to be :)

Today we strolled through the city center and stopped at Faustus. Because we were always happy to come. It was around 5:00 p.m. We sat down at a table outside and were told that you were only allowed to sit down if you were eating something. Since we wanted to have a few drinks, the waiter warned us that we were only tolerated for half an hour. Guests arriving for dinner are given priority. Unfortunately, the service was also very aloof and unfriendly. However, when we went to the toilet, we noticed that all the seats inside were empty. And there would have been enough space for all guests. Basically, it's just sad to drive away paying guests. Since a cocktail costs around €10 each, you can certainly earn enough with it. It's a shame, we won't be back any time soon.

Nice bar on the Krämerbrücke with very tasty food

A good restaurant at the Erfurt hotspot, the Krämerbrücke. The food is good and the staff is attentive. What was a bit irritating was that when the wrong dish was delivered, the message was that that couldn't be right. A solution has been found, but you don't blame a guest if you make a mistake yourself.

Steak au fou: the fries were good, but the steak was raw. Definitely not recommended, even though it was one of the expensive items on the menu. When I complained about the food, no replacement or other form of compensation was offered.

We sat outside and were quickly handed the menu. Taking the order and receiving it was also quick. Unfortunately my wife's meat wasn't completely cooked through (steak with seasoning) and my burger Faustus was cold. Unfortunately the service wasn't nice because she didn't even apologize for it.

The cheeseburger was tough as a shoe sole. The cucumber salad we ordered was swimming in a bland water and cream mixture. The roulade with red cabbage was OK, but nothing more. We won't be coming here again.

The warm summer night provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxed evening with dear friends. The highlight of the evening was the first-class steak, which was cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed an excellent selection of wines that left nothing to be desired. The staff was simply awesome – friendly, attentive and always with a smile on their faces. It was clearly noticeable that people work here with passion and dedication. The Faustus is definitely a place we would like to return to. A big thank you for this wonderful evening!

The salad with the chicken is definitely not worth 20 euros. You can get a much better salad around the corner with more content. We were also not impressed by the fact that you are very inflexible when it comes to a salad with goat cheese and you can't even choose a different type of cheese.

The employees were friendly and overall everything was fine. In my opinion, the prices were a bit high and it seemed a bit uncoordinated at times.

The dessert, a lukewarm chocolate cake with hot raspberries and cream, was also a real highlight and a perfect end to an excellent meal. An often underestimated aspect of a restaurant visit is cleanliness, especially the toilet area. In Faustus great attention was paid to this detail. It was my first time at Faustus and I wasn't disappointed - what's more, it was extremely tasty. I decided on a Faustus Schnitzel (pork here) with seasoned meat on top. We were greeted professionally and friendly and continued to be treated that way throughout the evening. There was even time for a short conversation when paying. The two waiters were as you would expect. The schnitzel was super crispy, large and the seasoned meat on top gave the whole thing a very tasty touch and was absolutely filling (says a good eater). If I'm being picky, the fries were a little underseasoned. But that's why there's salt at the table. It should also be mentioned that the restaurant makes a very good espresso and the food (quality, goodness and price) is absolutely justified in terms of price (I think 25/26 €). With an aperit totaling €35.60.

Because of the many good reviews, we were at Faustus today with 6 people. Unfortunately we had to wait almost an hour for our starter, which we only received by asking. There was an apology for this, but it was only half-hearted. The rest of the meal was ok. Not more. What really bothered us, however, was that the bar keeper turned on the television because of a football game at a volume that made it impossible to hear what he was saying. Upon request, the TV was turned down a little. However, only insignificantly and also rather involuntarily. Hospitality looks different to me. It was our first visit to Faustus and probably our last.

We drank strawberry punch on the terrace at Faustus, but didn't eat. The service was great - friendly and attentive, even though every table outside was full. The punch was also really tasty, homemade and not overly sweet. Recommended.

With 13 people, we were served quickly and almost at the same time. However, the continued supply of drinks left something to be desired. In almost all cases the food came to the table lukewarm or cold. The burgers are not recommended because the patties gave the impression of frozen goods. Overall, unfortunately rather disappointing.

Just went to Faustus. We ordered asparagus with salmon and potatoes €26 and schnitzel with spiced meat and fries €24. The potatoes were very mushy, when we asked if we could get a baked potato instead, we were brought back the overcooked boiled potatoes. We also noted that the fries were flaky, but we didn't want any new ones because we would be full when the food arrived anyway. Only we were given more fries and potatoes, after which we pointed out to the waitress that we didn't want to order anything more. The boss then came and asked us what was wrong with the food. When we explained that the potatoes and fries were soggy, the plate was taken away from under our noses and we were of course invited in a nice way... Conclusion, it's not a bad thing if the food on a Sunday isn't always 100% good, but there is criticism You should have to work around it and you shouldn't throw the guests out, especially if you talk to the staff quite sensibly. As a former waitress, I can understand a lot of things but that was really embarrassing. Good luck. Your quality was really top 7 years ago.

It was our first time there and we ate very well. Very nice service!! The food came quickly and was really tasty. Atmosphere one star deducted because the garbage cans were quite close, safe to be picked up for the next day.

I had veal schnitzel with asparagus - schnitzel and asparagus were great - unfortunately the hollondaise was out of the bag, which you could both see and taste. Unfortunately a no go for a 31€ dish. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating.

A very beautiful place with good location and good drinks BUT VERY POOR SERVICE!!! The waitress- Old Lady with short blond hair- was super angry to every costumer not just us … we had drinks (aperol spritz) but we decided to go somewhere else because we were scared of her and we didn’t feel comfortable!
