The location is really nice, the waitress was very friendly, the pizza was okay, but the base was too crispy.

The pizza was very delicious and so was the mango lemonade.

I ordered two pizzas with extra cheese and they charged me 10 euros for them, but there was no cheese on them!!!

You feel welcome as soon as you enter the restaurant: a warm atmosphere and the wonderful aroma of fresh herbs and stone-baked pizza. The menu offers a great selection of classic Italian dishes – authentic, high-quality, and prepared with great care.

A large restaurant. A large dining room, completely full. And then a single waiter has to take all the orders. Deliver all the orders. So we weren't surprised that no one asked if we wanted anything else to drink. We practically had to take the initiative ourselves. We don't know why there were so few staff members at Farina. But it was a minor flaw during our visit.

I've been eating at Farina di Nonna in Kiel quite a few times over the years and always enjoy being a regular customer. The pizza has consistently been outstanding. This review is for anyone who likes thin Italian pizza with a fluffy, crispy crust :) The toppings have always been very generous (not always the case in pizza restaurants) and there's never too much or too little crust. The dough is flavorful, so the crust tastes delicious with their homemade aioli. I even take some home with me if there's any left, as it's truly amazing. I highly recommend the vegetarian pizza, the arugula pizza, and the pizza that arrives piping hot. The atmosphere is very cozy, and thanks to the indoor-outdoor feel created by the windows, it's a pleasant place to sit even in the summer. I'm deducting one point for the food because I once had the spaghetti carbonara, which unfortunately had too much cream, too much pasta, and not enough seasoning. I can't comment on the other pasta dishes. I'm also deducting one point for the ambiance, as it can sometimes be quite noisy when the restaurant is full due to a lack of clothing. All in all, I really like the drinks, service, atmosphere, and pizza, and I'd gladly come back!

Today was our first time at this restaurant. The occasion was a birthday celebration. We were pleasantly surprised by the cozy atmosphere. The service was very friendly. The appetizers and main courses arrived promptly, and additional drinks were also served quickly. We ordered three different pizzas, and all were absolutely delicious. We'll definitely be back to this pizzeria.

Delicious food in a pleasant atmosphere

Very nice atmosphere and the food was delicious.

Napoli pizza turned out over salted. Even though it does contains Kapern and sardines, but it was almost impossible to eat more than 3 slices of it even with a beer. However, when I was ordering for delivery, every other pizzas were very tasty. Inside the atmosphere was quite warm and fun, though it gets loud quickly when it is crowded.

The food was excellent. It tasted "typically" Italian. The portions were a decent size. Although the restaurant was relatively empty, the service was very slow and reserved. The prices are high, but considering the quality, they are reasonable. I will come again when I am in Kiel.

**** Very tasty pizza with friendly service despite a high noise level **** This was our first time at the Italian restaurant FARINA DI NONNA in Kiel. We had heard from various sources that their pizzas were supposed to be very good. We had made a reservation online and, upon arrival at the very busy restaurant, were able to choose between several tables for two. The service was very friendly and quick. We ordered a Quattro Stagioni pizza and a Salsiccia Ardente pizza, which was served piping hot at the table. We also ordered a Duckstein beer and a strawberry-lime-mint lemonade. We enjoyed both the drinks and the pizzas very much. The only real drawback was the noise level in such a busy restaurant. Having a quiet conversation was hardly possible. I give it 4.5 stars today!

Farina di Nonna is a great choice if you're looking for delicious pizza. Having a drink to start is a really nice touch and was very tasty. However, despite the cozy atmosphere, it's somewhat reminiscent of a cafeteria, as it's a large hall. Because of this, the noise level is quite high, and they should consider installing some noise-reducing measures. If it were a bit quieter, we would gladly return for a pleasant evening.

A friend recommended this restaurant to us. We surprised the birthday person with a visit. The atmosphere is lovely, the service is excellent, and the food is truly outstanding! 🙂 We'll definitely be back.

Actually, it's a really great place. The pizza was excellent, the pasta too, and the server was very, very friendly. What's not great, though, is the restroom. Toilet paper was lying on the floor in every stall, sometimes the floor was wet, and the paper towels didn't always find their way into the trash. I realize that was caused by the guests, maybe even children, but it's the staff's job to monitor this. Cleanliness is important. My husband told me that the men's area was clean. Bottom line: a nearly perfect place with a cleanliness problem in the restrooms.

I go there often... the pizza is definitely among the best in town! My personal recommendation is the pizza bruschetta. It comes with a homemade lemonade. Pasta and salad are okay. Service is usually very quick, and the ambiance is modern and pretty. It has the bustling atmosphere of a true Italian pizzeria, a short vacation feel. However, I would plan a romantic dinner elsewhere.

Two of us were here on a Sunday evening. The excellent reviews and a craving for good pizza prompted us to eat here. The restaurant was quite empty, so we were free to choose our seats. The ambiance is cozy, but there were still a lot of crumbs from previous diners in the rough cracks of the wooden table. Overall, the interior needs a dusting, for example, the moldings on the walls or the fairy lights on the ceiling. We had bruschetta beforehand, which was very tasty. Unfortunately, we had to wait a long time for both pizzas, despite the lack of business. For one pizza, they asked for a few mushrooms, which we felt was not taken into account. Unfortunately, I also found the amount of mushrooms on the Pizza Funghi a little overwhelming, and I normally enjoy mushrooms. Unfortunately, my pizza was mostly watery/soggy. The pizzas barely fit on the plates, which caused problems when cutting. The dough (the part that wasn't soggy) was delicious, though. The service staff were very friendly. The music was unfortunately very tiring and, in our opinion, unsuitable for an Italian restaurant. Because of the long wait, we managed to finish our food just before closing time. However, the chairs next to us had already been moved onto the tables 20-30 minutes earlier, making us feel like an outsider. Unfortunately, the review process via Facebook using the QR code didn't work.

Yes!!!! Since the restaurant was very busy, it was very loud, but you could still have a good conversation and understand each other. The food and drinks were also prepared quickly, reasonably priced, and delicious. 😊 Since the restaurant was very busy, the waiter seemed a bit annoyed, but that didn't spoil the experience. It definitely won't be our last time there.

Generally, the restaurant's acoustics are really unpleasant when it's busy – open space, tightly packed, it gets very (!) loud. During our visit on Friday evening, it was very busy, but unfortunately, we only saw two waiters upstairs (and only one could take orders?). This resulted in very long waits and also incorrect orders (wrong pizza, espresso missing, etc.). The food was average at best, some pizzas were very tough. The pasta was quite bland. Some desserts were out of stock – even though it was very early in the evening. It's a shame, as we had enjoyed the good reviews here and the interesting menu. There won't be a repeat. The restaurant can't be blamed for the parking and traffic situation, but you should plan ahead or take public transport. Update: Three (!) complaints have been filed against this review for alleged defamation – three times unsuccessful. If I hadn't always taken action, this review wouldn't exist. Strange...

I just came back from Piedmont, Asti, Italy, and ate pizza there. I have to say the pizza here is better than in Italy! The drinks are also delicious!

I was there for the first time recently. Unfortunately, it was a very busy evening, and the machine used to take orders broke down at short notice. So, we had to wait a bit longer, but the service was still super friendly. The pizza was a bit too dry for my taste, but with a free Baileys, the evening was still very, very nice ☺️

The service actively ignores you, seems untrained, and doesn't make you feel welcome (even if you're friendly yourself). If you have time and a relaxed attitude, you can enjoy a very good pizza.

We ate there today with several people. It was busy, but the food still came quickly and the service was good. And then a dessert with a candle was brought because the server noticed it was my partner's birthday. Absolutely sweet, and everything was delicious.

It took quite a while until we could even order our drinks. However, the food arrived much faster after ordering.

The BBQ chicken was okay, a bit soggy in the middle, a bit tough around the edges. Service was nice, even though it was busy because of the Sting concert. My partner had a Hawaiian pizza, which unfortunately tasted of nothing.

All in all a good thing, great ambience, friendly staff and delicious food, what more could you want

We stopped by for pizza and pasta on Whitsun Sunday! The waitress in our area was great 👍 The drinks arrived quickly, as did the food, even though the place was almost full. The pizzas were all said to be very good. I had pasta Arabiatta. Let me just say: next time, I'll get a pizza. All in all, we had a great time and are looking forward to our next visit.
