On Wednesday, I entered the Farina di Nonna restaurant with our company group – lured by the glowing online reviews and the promise of heavenly pizzas. Upon entering, I felt as if I were walking into an exclusive film set – except that the star of the evening was clearly patience. While we were still sitting here, eagerly awaiting the arrival of the pizzas, after a seemingly endless 45-minute wait, five of us were already enjoying our long-awaited pizzas – while the poor sixth colleague served as a walking waiter in the background. When we approached the first stressed-out waiter, the only response was a dry, "Coming right away!" – a consolation that later turned out to be a pure illusion, because after another 15 minutes, we were informed that the pizza was burnt. If only we could have been informed of the current status – a little update would have been almost like a free dose of humor! But the icing on the cake was yet to come: When we asked how the pizza had gotten burnt, the waiter, in an angry outburst, accused us of simply sharing the pizza. Such outrageous and ironically amusing logic that it almost chokes on laughter. When we countered that such a suggestion was anything but customer-friendly, he asked – quite casually – whether we thought he was stupid. Yes, dear Farina di Nonna, we already thought your service was an exclusive adventure of culinary patience – but we really didn't expect such a level of self-conceit! In short: Our moment at Farina di Nonna was a bizarre spectacle, where the expensive price of the pizzas was almost overshadowed by the even higher price of waiting time, lack of communication, and outrageous service. An experience that left you laughing – even if you also cried with disappointment. A culinary nightmare that taught us: Sometimes it's better not to be blinded by glowing reviews and instead use humor as a lifeline.

As a Berliner, I'm used to a lot of "nagging" - but the service here shocked even me as a Berliner. The staff was rude and verbally attacked us - once and never again. I'd rather go and eat a kebab in Berlin for €5.

Far too expensive for the offer

We were at Farina di Nonna with seven people on a Sunday afternoon. The first impression was that there was a cozy atmosphere despite the size. We sat down at the assigned table and chose our food. The prices are okay for the quality of the pizza. BUT the waiter was a disaster, unfriendly, stroppy and just incredibly disrespectful. I really thought I was in the wrong movie and looked for the “get it” camera. It started with the request to clean the table, that was already too much. When my pizza came and I was asked “Fungi” I enthusiastically said (really hungry and full of joy) “yes, my pizza please” I was snapped at what the exaggerated tone was supposed to mean. These are two examples, there are other things that go beyond the scope here. Then dear team, you don't keep the cleaning agent for the tables within easy reach of small children, poisoning can happen so quickly. I really don't know what was wrong with the waiter, but if I had done that when I was a restaurant owner I would have been out of the job.

We were there two weeks ago and were looking forward to a lovely evening. Unfortunately we had to wait an hour for the starter. Unfortunately, after another hour, the main course was still not at the table. Other guests who arrived after us were a little more lucky and had already finished their main course. Since we were already slightly annoyed and weren't really hungry anymore, we decided to cancel the pizza / take it with us in case it was already in the oven. In response to this request, the service person informed us that the pizza was in the oven. From this point on we had to wait another half hour. After almost three hours in total, we had a starter and were able to leave the store with the pizza in the box. Very unfortunate. Unfortunately, we don't have a good impression and we won't be coming back.

The pizza and the homemade lemonades are very tasty. Relatively large and therefore noisy store.

Order there regularly and the pick-up prices are super fair for the very tasty pizzas. If you're there at the pickup time suggested by the restaurant and then have to wait over 20 minutes with the message "it'll take a little while," then next time we'll think twice before ordering there.

The evening in this restaurant was a complete disaster: Instead of informing at the entrance that it might take a little longer because several employees were absent, they decided differently here. We had to wait over an hour for the starter. This tasted very dry and was mostly noticeably burnt black. Unfortunately the starter was so inedible that we couldn't finish it. Unfortunately, the same applied to the main course. The pizzas were partly raw, partly burnt, the pasta was clearly overcooked and cold and the lasagne had a very disgusting, chewy consistency. In addition, the staff only admitted when asked that a pizza had run out of ingredients and another spicy ingredient had been used instead. In this restaurant, not only is the customer's time wasted with inedible food, but they are also not honest with the guests. A disgrace and absolutely not recommended.

The noodles were super delicious! The fresh shrimp and the amount of sauce are perfect.

We ordered the pizza from Bessito and absolutely loved it. The pizza was very tasty and we were served quickly. Thanks for that - we'll be back!

The quality of the pizza was between good and very good. The waiting time of over an hour has a huge negative impact and taking the smell of the pizzeria in your hair and clothes home with you is simply not possible. Overall verdict: 4 out of 10.

This time it was a total failure. We waited 75 minutes for the food!!! For two pizzas! That doesn't work at all. It was only after an hour that the waiter decided to bring some bread to the table - when I asked. No announcement like "it may take a little longer" - and that's the worst part: just sit and wait. 6 p.m. isn't even the busiest time. The pizza itself was so-so, the dough was very tough, which even overwhelmed the sharp knives, and the topping was extremely thin. The prices for food and drinks were exorbitantly high, easily at Sylt level - but here, in the former Coca Cola bottling plant, unreasonable.

Pizza was OK. Not really special but not bad either. Service was overwhelmed, seemed distracted and sometimes rude. The ambience was nice at first glance, but it was very loud due to the proximity to the next tables and the amount of people. Waiting time for everything is enormous. The waitress forgot about us for what felt like 15 minutes when we wanted to pay. Ordering drinks also took a long time and it was virtually impossible to reorder them. The pizza arrived after what felt like 3 hours, but was probably closer to 45 minutes. Didn't look at the clock. I wouldn't want to go there again, it was just too bad. Mainly because of the lack of attention from the service staff, the waiting times and then ultimately left there for a normal pizza like you would expect from an Italian restaurant + a drink for €25. Rather uncool.

The food is really delicious, large pizzas that are not standard. Unfortunately, service wasn't good at all: only 3 people in a shop that could have postponed 6. No food came. Second drink order or coffee and dessert were not taken!

This store is Losteria on steroids. The prices are high but the pizzas are simply amazing. I've only had better pizza in Italy. You're happy to pay €2-3 more

We were there with 11 people. Said it was a birthday. Nothing was prepared. When we arrived, the tables even had to be put together. I think a restaurant thrives on service. I would have preferred to give zero stars. The drinks only came with the food. So we couldn't even toast beforehand. Our plates weren't cleared. Dessert wasn't even asked. When we wanted to pay, we asked that the remaining pizza be packed up. Four pizza boxes were then thrown on the table. I'm actually very disappointed. This was supposed to be a great birthday and then something like that. Unfortunately I won't eat there again.

We were there during our lunch break. Nice staff and good food. The pizza was very tasty! Unfortunately, it wasn't the first time that we had very long waiting times during the lunch break. Four of us were there at 12:30 p.m. and got our food at around 2 p.m. The restaurant was very busy and you had the feeling that all the guests had been waiting for a long time. Only when I remarked that we had been waiting for a very long time de informed that unfortunately there would be a shortage of staff there. So "quickly have lunch there during your lunch break"... You should be informed in advance that a longer waiting time is to be expected. But, the food tasted great!!!

I was only partially convinced by the visit to the pizzeria, which according to a survey by Kieler Nachrichten was the best pizzeria in Kiel. I had reserved a table. When we walked in we were told to find a free table, but a small one because there were two of us. So we walked through the restaurant to find a free table. I really didn't need to make a reservation for that. Apparently there were only two service staff there, so it took longer and she was visibly trying, but seemed overworked. There was no bread in advance, as is the case in some other recessions. In my opinion, it took too long for the drinks to arrive, but the pizzas came comparatively quickly, although the cutlery came later. I found the pizza chosen to be ok, a little bland, but freshly prepared. I found the tables with deep cracks in the wood where crumbs and leftovers collect disgusting. I found it very noisy there because it is a large, open space with no niches. I knew the rooms from the previous restaurant and found the atmosphere there more pleasant. I probably wouldn't go there again. I found the prices, especially for the drinks, quite ambitious, especially considering the service.

Mega delicious Sucuk pizza with a crispy base and perfectly balanced spices! Plus the refreshing mango-orange lemonade – simply great. Clear recommendation!

The atmosphere was far too loud, and the waiter was unfriendly and seemed to have little interest in our well-being. We had to wait 55 minutes for our order. We ended up taking the pizza home, but the entire experience was very unsatisfying. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant.

I had dinner with my wife yesterday and we really enjoyed the food. The service is super nice. We look forward to the next time.

It was quite okay. Prices for a pizza are quite hefty. Our pasta was absolutely carelessly prepared. Everything was simply thrown to the side and not prepared. The aioli is delicious. Unfortunately, you are left completely alone when choosing a seat and have to search through the store. Overall the food was okay. The shop is beautifully decorated. It is quite loud in the restaurant. You can do it but don't expect too much. Unfortunately, price performance is not the real deal.

After pushing past four teenagers at the entrance, we were greeted by our dirty table. The glasses were still cleared away, but a quick wipe over them was probably not possible. At least there was the opportunity to guess the food and drinks of the guests in front of us in a convivial atmosphere. And the guests in front of them. And the guests from the day before. Although the tables make a visually appealing impression thanks to their rustic design, there are so many crumbs in the grooves that you feel challenged to put the bread back together like a puzzle. So: sort by color and the edges first! The bread including aioli that was actually served in advance was the highlight of the stay and the only culinary anchor of this restaurant. The drinks came on time, as usual they were stretched with water and ice to maximize profit, but still okay. The ambience doesn't seem entirely harmonious due to craftsmanship errors in some wall and ceiling applications as well as inconsistent decoration efforts by the ex-intern. But everything would have been bearable if the gastronomic cleanliness had been better. Two of the four pizzas we ordered reached us after a pleasant wait - but we were happy too early! Two of the dough pieces were burnt and the service didn't even give us them. So half of the table had to quickly push the pizza to be cooled into the system while the other two waited. The knives, which had wooden handles, were as sharp as those in a bulimia clinic. So at least you didn't have to feel guilty about snorting directly with your hands. Anyway. 15 minutes later the whole thing is the other way around. But someone always had their mouth free to talk about their vacation trips. Attention: There are no gyros in Greece, people steal all over the world - so lock your caravan at rest stops - and the best pizza (according to Captain Obvious) is in Naples. After the food supply was complete, our tire-sized pizza plates stood in front of us for three quarters of an hour. Begging looks at the passing waiters were not returned. Even when the second round of drinks was taken, the old glasses were left on the table. By the time we left the location, six large glasses, two dessert containers and the bread basket had been piled up. The entrance to the tiled tee box looked like a ghost train. The look at the cemented floor exploded the disgust scale. If the front door key had fallen here, I would have preferred to sleep on a bench at Kiel Central Station with Heiko (R.I.P.) in my arms before picking it up from this floor. A relaxing round at the Fortress of Solitude was out of the question. Quickly leave the manure bunker - the desserts were already there. However, you could save yourself: ice cream too small, tiramisu sold out, crème brûlée unexciting. For the female visitors to the porcelain altar, however, there is still a scandalous situation to report that I would like to recommend to Spiegel TV. In a very modern way, there is a low-mounted washbasin for people of short stature and children. Although there is a wall separating the men's and women's areas, there is an opening at hand height so that the genders share the sink. With the permission of the companion, a picture from the little ones' perspective is attached. Be prepared for questions from your daughter: On her first visit to a restaurant, she will have the best view of the local shooting club's dick parade, should they have something to celebrate again. By the way, the pizza was okay - it's best to have it delivered.

We were there spontaneously on Saturday evening and spontaneously reserved a table for two in advance. We could sit wherever we wanted, but we first had to look for a free seat ourselves. It probably took 20 minutes for someone to take the drinks and food order. We also waited forever for the drinks and food. When we looked around, we still saw dirty dishes on the other tables, which had been empty for half an hour, and when we arrived there were still a lot of menus and cloths for wiping the table lying around on one table. In the over 2 hours we were there we only saw one waiter who was completely overwhelmed and quite unfriendly. In between we even came back to ask what we wanted to drink again. The pizza had a very thick crust and wasn't that special and the tortellini hardly had any on it. For 2 main courses and 2 drinks approx. €50. Once and never again.

Good food with decent service. We like to come regularly. There is bread with garlic dip beforehand. The fruit lemonades are very good and the fruit pieces make a great dessert. The guest room is huge and open. So not for a romantic evening for two.

My friend wanted to reserve a table for 4, but on the phone they said “there is nothing left, everything is fully booked”. Went there anyway, the store was empty (5:30 p.m.). She then said her name and that she had reserved. Employee looks at his list (where it CANNOT be), says yes and we can choose something...?!! Very professional. Waiter at the table was normally polite/friendly, everything was OK. Food as always good

Lukewarm pizza but delicious, waiter overwhelmed and brings the wrong food to the table, cutlery came minutes after the meal, side dishes forgotten, rustic tables are not clean, leftover food in the cracks and cracks, you sit at the table with empty glasses

Basically, the restaurant is acoustically really unpleasant when there is a high occupancy - open space, narrow space, it gets very (!) loud. During our visit on Friday evening it was very well filled, unfortunately we only saw 2 waiters in the upper area (and only one could record orders?). This meant that there were very long waiting times and incorrect orders (wrong pizza, missing espresso, etc.). If staff are unavailable at short notice, this should be communicated. But if personnel planning creates such situations, it would be fatal. The food was average at best, some pizzas were very tough. The pasta was quite bland. Some of the desserts were no longer in stock - even though it was very early in the evening. It's a shame, we were also happy because of the good reviews and the interesting menu. There will be no repeat. The restaurant can't do anything about the parking and traffic situation, but you should plan your time or come by public transport.

Unfortunately disappointing. The Copilot pizza had far too few olives, the Burrata pizza was unseasoned, and the Salsiccia Ardente pizza was more of a fire for Farina di Nonna - in other words, not really what the name suggests. The waiting time was abysmal and the service was virtually non-existent - sure, it was full, but that doesn't explain everything. Overall, unfortunately rather boring pizzas and no reason for a second visit.

The food came after waiting for over an hour. The pizza was lukewarm. It was also hard and dry. A starter was completely forgotten and was only served with the main course. The service was also bad. Bad-tempered and annoyed service staff who were really inattentive. Chewing gum was obviously chewed while eating the food and drinks. Loud background noise (like at the train station) and the clothes smell like food. Last but not least, the toilet rooms are also dirty. One-time visit!

With two small children we had to wait a whole hour for food. Guests at the neighboring table who arrived significantly later received their food significantly earlier. Despite asking, there was no explanation or apology. It was also unpleasantly loud.

I ordered 2 thirst quenchers and a pasta dish. I was very dissatisfied with the pasta dish, it was normal penne, the kind you buy in the supermarket, the sauce was too spicy and totally tomatoey, as if it had just been pureed tomatoes. Drinks were good. My work colleagues ordered pizza and I regretted not ordering a pizza too.

So Wednesday evening 6:00 p.m. I was tempted by the rating of 4.7 to go there. The staff is hopelessly overwhelmed and has made many mistakes from a gastronomic point of view. The atmosphere was like a canteen, the tables were close together and way too loud. I ordered a pizza for a whopping 17.70 which was served cold after 55 minutes. I can't say much about the taste; cold pizza only tastes half as good. I don't have to try this again.

We were there spontaneously for the second time today The first time to eat pizza in the evening, one was quite good, just a bit dry, the other was half burnt, the waiter was no longer in sight, so I ate half of the pizza. The second time there was pasta Bolognese and carbonara, the portion was very clear, the few crumbs of minced meat indicated Bolognese, but it was no more than 10 grams of minced meat, carbonara was ice cream sauce with a few mini crumbs of bacon. At €14.90 and €16.90 the price ratio is not right for me because it is no more than €2.00 purchase price. It's a shame, but unfortunately the service isn't actively interested in sales, we didn't see it again the first time, but it was a little better the second time.

The food is great, the atmosphere is very nicely decorated. The card makes a very good impression. However, you shouldn't be hungry on the weekend; that comes naturally due to the long waiting time. We ordered a starter and waited a total of 2 hours for the main course. It was very, very crowded, so it was difficult to get service to the table. You should definitely reserve a table in advance. Unfortunately, the toilets were no longer attractive.

Atmosphere like in a cafeteria. Very loud and the tables are very close together. Had a spaghetti dish with shrimp that was almost cold. I asked for a tablespoon, the answer was: you can also eat it with a knife and fork. I know different things to be cozy and friendly!

Wir waren zu Weihnachten dort essen, es war toll. Ich habe es mir zum Geburtstag gewünscht, eine voll Katastrophe.. Essen kam erst nach einer Stunde, dann auch noch ein falsches Gericht…. Das mit einem Kleinkind.. wird für uns das letzte Mal gewesen sein.

Der Service war sehr freundlich, allerdings einfach überfordert mit der Masse an Kunden. Der Laden Rappel voll und viel zu laut ! - die WC Anlagen schwammen in Urin und jeder der dort raus ging verschleppte nasse Fußabdrücke durch den gnaznenladen, wiederlich !

The pizzeria is really an insider tip! The pizza selection is large and varied, so there is something for every taste. I tried the Burrata pizza and it was simply outstanding - the taste was great and so plentiful that I was even able to take some home with me. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting; you immediately feel at home there. It's the perfect place to spend a relaxing evening with delicious food. If you love pizza, you should definitely stop by here – highly recommended!

The four of us had arranged to have pizza, attracted by the recommendation of the KN. Unfortunately, we were unlucky: we had to wait a long time - for ordering, for drinks, for the food (pizza OK, but lukewarm), for the other drinks, for the bill... the dishes that were eaten were not cleared away, no wonder. when ONE employee is responsible for half the restaurant. It was very loud and a relaxed conversation among friends was hardly possible. That's better.

My pizza was delicious. The bread and aioli beforehand were really good. The drawback from my point of view was the service, considering the price level at Farina. It took quite a while for the order to be taken. After the meal the table was not cleared and no one asked if you would like something more to drink. You can expect more here.

The ambience was inviting and immediately created a pleasant atmosphere. The food was convincing across the board, especially the freshness and quality of the ingredients. The service also deserves high praise.

Very nice atmosphere, nice service. We took advantage of the lunch offer there. Unfortunately the food was different than expected, a bit strange for me. The vegetarian pizza consisted of a standard base with a thin sauce and a cold, uncooked topping, i.e. salad🙄! Together it was bread with vegetables, not what I mean by pizza. The side salad, however, was delicious.

Wir hatten uns im Vorwege Speisen ausgesucht . Mein Mann aus der Saisonkarte die es online gab. Leider gab es diese Gerichte vor Ort dann gar nicht mehr . Ich wählte die Antipasta Platte ( Vorspeise ) als Hauptgang und hatte mich sehr drauf gefreut . Leider war auch diese nicht verfügbar .

The food is in the upper middle range, the prices are very high and the service is unfortunately absolutely not adequate. Unfriendly, disinterested and condescending. We arrived at a time when relatively few tables were occupied. The gentleman at the bar gave us a friendly welcome and said we could choose a seat. So far so good. Taking the drinks order took a while and was interrupted with a “drinks first, then food”. When the food finally arrived, the homemade bread was missing, which prompted me to order the vegetarian Cabonara. When I asked, the only answer I got was "the colleague definitely couldn't do that anymore." The said colleague was walking around aimlessly in the background and the food had been there for 5 minutes. After 20 minutes my friend asked again about the bread included in the menu. "The bread is still in the oven" was the answer. Another 5 minutes later a basket of bread was carelessly thrown onto the table (by then the entire table had finished eating). No eye contact, no apology for the delay and not even in front of the right person. Another 5 minutes later the aioli arrived, which apparently is served with the bread. The fresh bread from the oven was cold...? We couldn't order any more drinks because the staff wasn't interested in looking in our direction. We were also completely ignored during the meal. We didn't order dessert or any other drinks, which was a shame. In order to pay we had to spend 20 minutes trying to get the waiter's attention.

Delivery service underground, took longer than 2 hours and the employee was absolutely unable to find the apartment after he had already entered the house. The restaurant is just as bad, completely overpriced, burnt pizzas and by the time the food/drink comes... the sun is rising again.

Sehr leckeres Essen, große Portionen. Von meiner Pizza würde ich mehr als satt. Schön, dass es Bier von der lille-Braauere gibt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, Essen und Getränke kamen sehr schnell. Insgesamt ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt, Wiederholung ist wahrscheinlich.

The vegan pizzas taste very tasty :) It's also great that there is an intermediate box on which the pizza lies, so not the entire pizza box is residual waste, just this insert and the rest can go into the blue bin.

Went to Farina di Nonna with my mother for pizza on a Sunday afternoon. The atmosphere was cozy because it was the fourth Advent and a beautiful, large, illuminated Christmas tree illuminated us in the entrance area. Since we were allowed to choose a spot despite having a reservation, we naturally stayed close to it. The service was very friendly and came to our table at regular intervals. Both drinks and food arrived in a reasonable time after ordering. The pizzas were both vegetarian and so delicious!! Also huge! It is definitely possible to share a small pizza - perhaps with a salad - to be more than full! Especially since everyone was given two slices of really great homemade baguette bread with an incredibly delicious aioli 😋 I paid a total of €50 for the two of us, including a large cold drink each and a tip. We'll definitely go back here! Only the more than rustic toilets/rooms should be renovated.

Food is great, service too. Parking is a matter of luck, but the bus stop is right in front of the door. Be careful when reserving a table: When reserving online via OpenTable, confirmation via SMS is required. This is a premium service and costs €0.25. There's a better way, dear Farina di Nonna team!!!
