Fanous in Berlin

It is still one of the best Iranian restaurants in Berlin, but it was very strange to me that the pounded kebab was heated and not fresh. The kebab should go straight from the grill to the customer's table. The amount of rice was very small and even though I am not a big eater, I was not satisfied. The decor and atmosphere are very beautiful with Iranian spirit, but the idea of ​​the window from the kitchen to the living room reminded me of the grills in Tehran bazaar, which is a negative point. In any case, overall, it deserves 4 stars for the price and space.

This restaurant is great. The food is delicious, the service is friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is great too. The only small downside: I found it a bit cold, but I'm also a chilblain and will dress much warmer next time.

An authentic and family-run restaurant with classic Persian cuisine, the portions are large and absolutely filling and the desserts are also very tasty. Be sure to reserve in advance, as it is usually difficult to get a spot. Absolutely recommended restaurant!

No doubt that it's one of the best Persian restaurants in Berlin. They bake Lavash bread which is really close to what we have in Iran. Taste of kebabs were really good. Spinach yogurt was delicious and staff also are really nice. The menu is also very comprehensive and you have almost all the options of famous Persian dishes. Keep in mind to reserve in advance as the tables are usually reserved.

Very unfriendly, I called on Thursday to reserve a table for Saturday, the waiter said we weren't allowed to call at such short notice. This restaurant has you covered and well catered for

My favorite restaurant for Persian cuisine in Berlin, simply the best! The food is delicious and the people are always friendly and warmly greet guests. Everything is freshly prepared, and I particularly like ordering the starters with bread. My favorite is Kubideh with rice – highly recommended! Anyone who eats here is guaranteed to fall in love.

The food wasn't that good but my complaint is that the older lady in charge was very unfriendly and disrespectful to us. When we arrived, she brought food to the table right next to us but ignored us. After 10 minutes of nobody coming to us, we asked about the menu ourselves. Then, without greeting us, she told us that this table was already reserved. Then we waited for another table to become available. After standing for about 20 minutes when we wanted to sit at the other table, she said that this table was already reserved and you have to sit outside. In over an hour that we were there, the two tables inside were still free but they wouldn't let us in. After over an hour of getting our food, the food quickly got cold due to the cold weather and was no longer edible. We won't go there anymore.

I was extremely positively surprised. This Persian restaurant is more than worth a visit. We took a starter platter for two with 7 small bowls and a liter of Dugh (Persian milk drink with herbs). Yummy. Afterwards we had a chicken salad, put together with love and torn with a separate dressing. Everything at moderate prices. The service and kitchen staff really had their hands full on Monday, but always remained friendly and attentive to the guests. Admirable. I recently visited Restaurant FANUS and unfortunately I was very disappointed with my experience. First of all, the service was anything but friendly. The waitress seemed stressed and uninterested, which made the entire stay unpleasant. We had to wait a long time for our order even though the restaurant wasn't full. The food itself didn't meet my expectations either. My food was cold and tasted rather bland. I was hoping for more from the specific dish as it sounded promising on the menu. The portion was also disappointingly small for the price. The cleanliness in the restaurant also left a lot to be desired. Our table was not cleared properly and the toilets were in an unsanitary condition. Overall, my visit to FANUS was a disappointment and I probably won't return in the future. I hope the restaurant rethinks its service and quality standards to provide future guests with a better experience NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL

We had been planning to visit Fanous for a long time, but unfortunately we were only able to get a table after several attempts to order. We chose this place for dinner based on TripAdvisor reviews. The dishes we ordered were outside our experience, so we were intrigued by them, but they were too lightly spiced for our tastes. Ambience and service were both good.

The food was great, a real adventure and I can highly recommend it if you want to experience Persian food and food culture. It took a long time to prepare but it was worth the wait. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed and there was no stress about getting ready quickly. The staff was a bit inattentive but otherwise very nice.

UPDATE: I had such a weird experience here. The quality of the food is really amazing, there's no doubt. The customer service however is weird. Both times I ate here the staff acted very nice in the beginning and changed their mood. I understand that they are busy and have lots of customers at a given time, but don't have to compensate for their behaviour. "Dizi" that was served here was delicious, however was served with a minimum portion, compared to other restaurants I have tried.

Trip to the Orient. Food is fresh and very tasty prepared. In general the ambience could do with a refresh, but basically OK. Service is sometimes a bit slow, but it is always busy there in the evenings. No chance in the evening without a table reservation. Definitely call, preferably a week before your planned visit to the restaurant. There are enough parking spaces in the immediate vicinity.

The food tasted really good and I was satisfied overall. However, I had a bit of a challenge with the service. When I visited the restaurant, I spontaneously wanted to grab a bite to eat. Since all the other seats were taken, I sat at a table of 6, which was the only available seat. The waitress initially told me that I couldn't sit there because the table was for six people. Finally I was allowed to sit down there. It would be nice if the service was more flexible in such situations.

Me and my wife had Baghalipolo Mahiche & Kubide negini and it tasted fantastic. Defenetly the best one in Berlin and almost as good as my wife‘s and my mother‘s in low. Ok, nothing match the home made food but this is serious stuff :) Highly recommended!

I give Fanous 0 stars. This may come as a surprise because the food is actually fantastic and it is the best-selling Persian food in Berlin. But the service is simply catastrophic. Even during off-peak hours, the restaurant does not offer free tables, although you can clearly see that half of the tables are empty. Reservations are also not accepted. Once you do manage to get a seat, it takes forever for the waitresses to take your order, even though they aren't busy and there are only a few guests in the restaurant. During the meal you are never asked if you need anything else. It's sad that such a high quality product is offered in a restaurant with such poor service.
