Dies ist kein persisches Restaurant. Das Personal war weder freundlich noch zuvorkommend, und die Atmosphäre war enttäuschend. Zudem herrschte ein unangenehmer Geruch, was das Esserlebnis insgesamt trübte.

Wenn Menschen ihre Arbeit lieben, kann man das schmecken und spüren. Danke, das Mittagessen hier war sehr lecker!

Tolles Restaurant! Ich war mit meiner Mutter zum Mittagessen dort und wir waren sehr begeistert. Die Bedienung war ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam, und das Essen hat uns hervorragend geschmeckt. Ich wollte schon lange einmal hierherkommen und bin froh, dass es endlich geklappt hat. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder. Klare Empfehlung!

Ich ging gerade die Straße entlang, als mir ein unglaublich leckerer Duft in die Nase stieg. Drinnen wurde ich mit einem breiten Lächeln empfangen und hervorragend bedient. Ich kann mit Sicherheit sagen, dass es eines der saftigsten und besten Hähnchen-Shawarmas war, die ich je gegessen habe. Vielen Dank an Chefkoch Chra, ein echt cooler Typ!

Es handelt sich nicht um ein luxuriöses persisches Restaurant, aber in vielerlei Hinsicht ist es sogar besser als so manches gehobene persische Restaurant mit modernem Ambiente. Die Atmosphäre erinnert an traditionelle Restaurants in den südlichen Städten Irans. Bitte beachten Sie, dass keine Kartenzahlung möglich ist; Zahlung ist nur in bar möglich.

Wir haben kürzlich Karun besucht und die Kubide im Brot (gerollt) mit frisch gepresstem Orangensaft probiert – alles war hervorragend. Das Fleisch war saftig, aromatisch und perfekt zubereitet, serviert mit frischem Salat und köstlichem Brot. Man konnte die Qualität und Frische der Zutaten wirklich schmecken. Der Orangensaft war frisch gepresst und einfach perfekt – erfrischend und voller Geschmack. Die Preise sind für die gebotene Qualität sehr angemessen, ein ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Das Essen war frisch, lecker und sättigend, und das gesamte Erlebnis war großartig. Absolut empfehlenswert, wenn Sie in Berlin nach frischer, authentischer und preiswerter persischer Küche suchen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Das arabisch persische Essen war sehr lecker. Es ist Selbstbedienung aber das Essen wird auch durch Kellner gebracht. Der Reis mit Dill ist hervorragend. Vegetarische Auswahl ist auch sehr groß. Innen kann es im Thekenbereich laut werden.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Die Qualität des Kebabs ist hervorragend. Auch das Brot ist sehr lecker. Sie sollten es unbedingt einmal probieren.

Hervorragende persische und orientalische Küche. Eine der besten Lammkeulen, die ich je gegessen habe!

Einer meiner Lieblingsorte ist Charlottenbourg.

Ein super freundliches Bistro. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und die Portionen sind riesig. Von arabischen Essen, wie Shawarma, Falaffel und Makali, wie persisches Essen. Das persische Essen ist etwas besonderes, denn das bekommt man in Berlin nicht so oft. Das persische Essen ist Mega lecker. Ich empfehle Kubide, wenn man Fleisch ist. Alle die da arbeiten sind sehr nett und man fühlt sich immer willkommen. Wenn man in der Wilmersdorfer Straße ist, dann sollte man noch im Karun vorbeigehen um eins der köstlichen Gerichte zu essen.

Das ist kein iranisches Restaurant! Ein total verrücktes Restaurant! Es gibt sich als iranisches Restaurant aus, aber der Chef ist Araber, die Kellner sind Inder, und es gibt ein Bild des Karun-Flusses, der in der iranischen Provinz Chuzestan liegt, aber daneben steht „Niederlande“! Und drinnen läuft spanische Musik! Der iranische Kebab war nicht lecker. Er bestand ausschließlich aus Rind- oder Hammelfleisch, nicht aus einer Mischung aus Lamm und Rind, was ihn zäh und widerlich machte. Nicht empfehlenswert für authentisches iranisches Essen. Und man kann nur bar bezahlen, um Steuern zu sparen :) Vielleicht!

Das Essen ist super. Ich liebe es im Sommer draußen in dieser lokation zu sitzen, die Sonne zu genießen.

Die Bedienung ist ganz ok aber vom Essen musste ich mich schon 2 mal übergeben und sonnst hatte ich immer Magenschmerzen nach dem Essen dort. Bei meiner ganzen Familie war es auch so Keine Empfehlung

Die vegetarische Platte und der Karunteller ist wirklich großartig

Wenn’s voll ist doch schon eher laut, zudem gutes aber kein überdurchschnittliches Essen. Für ein Essen zwischendurch in Ordnung.

Lokal zwischen Imbiss und Restaurant, mit gutem Persischen Essen und extrem freundlichem Team. Das Lokal ist speziell auch für Familien extrem gut geeignet, selbst an eine Spielecke für die Kleinen wurde gedacht.

Gute Persische Küche. Preis Leistung, gut. Kann ich gut empfehlen.

Wir bestellten Zereshk Polo und Koubideh, beides war gut. Die sauberen Toiletten sprechen meiner Meinung nach für die Sauberkeit des Restaurants im Backstage-Bereich. Der Service könnte allerdings besser sein. :))

Super leckeres Essen mit richtig viel Geschmack! Die Gewürze sind perfekt abgestimmt, das Fleisch schön zart und die Mezze ideal zum Teilen. Dazu freundlicher Service und eine gemütliche Atmosphäre. Man fühlt sich direkt willkommen und kommt garantiert gern wieder vorbei. Klare Empfehlung!

Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Man bestellt direkt an der Theke und bekommt das Essen an den Tisch gebracht. Das Essen schmeckt vorzüglich. Es gibt hinten bequeme Bänke mit Tischen. Wir kommen sehr gerne in dieses persische Restaurant und sind jedes Mal begeistert. Das Essen ist unglaublich lecker und immer frisch zubereitet. Das Personal ist extrem freundlich und herzlich, man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Wir sind regelmäßig hier und für uns gehört es definitiv zu den besten Restaurants in der Gegend. Das Lokal ist eher schlicht, aber sehr gemütlich und einladend. Besonders sympathisch finden wir die lateinamerikanische Musik im Hintergrund – das gibt dem Ganzen eine ganz besondere Atmosphäre. Die Hähnchenspieße waren sehr gut gewürzt, super gegrillt und dabei schön saftig. Der Reis und die Saucen haben sehr gut geschmeckt, der Salat war frisch und knackig. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder.

Waren gestern nach langer Zeit mal wieder bei Karun. Wir gönnten uns den Karunteller.. es war sooooo lecker und war ein guter Tagesabschluss nach einem voll bepackten Samstag. Das Essen ist immer lecker, aber wir waren viel zu lange nicht mehr da. Wird sich jetzt ändern. Der Tee auf der Tageskarte (Granatapfel) schmeckte auch köstlich. Das Personal ist immer freundlich. Man wird immer mit einem Lächeln bedient. Das Essen schmeckt sehr lecker und die Preise sind auch im Rahmen. Man kann es nur empfehlen. Wenn man Schawarma essen möchte, ist man hier genau richtig.

Koobideh ist angebrannt und Joojeh gart nicht richtig. Der Salat ist nicht frisch und das ganze Gericht ist viel zu fettig. Das Fleisch scheint überhaupt nicht frisch zu sein.

Ich gehe hier essen, seit ich fünf Jahre alt bin, und wurde in all den 15 Jahren kein einziges Mal enttäuscht!!! Das Essen ist authentisch, und der Chef ist bodenständig, gesprächig und sehr zuvorkommend.

Bestes persisches street food - die Falafel und Schawarma Sandwiches sind unschlagbar! Die Tellergerichte mit üppigen Portionen fein gewürzt, ein großer Unterschied zu arabischen Streetfood Lokalen in der Stadt. Samstags nach dem Markt auf dem benachbarten Karl August Platz ist das Karun ein Muss! Und gibt es einen warmherzigeren, humorvolleren, freundlicheren Chef als Cyrus? 😉

Ich bin zutiefst enttäuscht und kann daher nur einen Stern vergeben. Für 14 € habe ich lediglich eine Portion Reis mit etwas Hähnchen bekommen – das sollte ein Shawarma-Teller sein. Mein Salat hat komplett gefehlt und auch die Saucen waren nicht dabei. Ich habe sogar im Laden angerufen, doch mir wurde gesagt, die Portion wäre so „gerecht“. Für diesen Preis erwarte ich definitiv mehr als ein bisschen Reis und ein paar Stücke Hähnchen. Hätte ich alles einzeln bestellt, wäre es sogar günstiger gewesen. Sehr enttäuschend und für mich absolut nicht gerechtfertigt.

Ich fand es total lecker, ich wurde total freundlich empfangen und die Inhaber kamen sehr locker rüber. Total zuvorkommend und wie gesagt: geschmacklich war es für mich frisch, knackig und wirklich gut abgestimmt. Genau richtig für ein Mittagessen, von dem ich satt werde, welches aber nicht schwer im Magen liegt. Ich war so aufs Essen konzentriert, dass ich noch nicht einmal ein Foto gemacht habe.

Seit meiner Kindheit hier. Komme immer mindestens einmal her wenn ich in Berlin bin.

I've always enjoyed going to Karun's – the food is fresh, the portions are generous, and there's usually nothing to complain about taste-wise. But €17 for this exact dish (shawarma with rice, potatoes, salad, and bread) is simply outrageous. Such a sudden price increase without any noticeable improvement in quality or quantity is truly disappointing. I understand that everything is getting more expensive – but this is definitely over the top. Karun used to be known for good, honest food at a fair price. Now it feels more like tourist pricing. It's a shame – the food tastes great, but the price is no longer justified.

Modernly furnished snack bar/restaurant! Incredibly good food at reasonable prices! A must-stop on this small side street, less than two minutes from the Wilmersdorfer Straße pedestrian zone!

A great restaurant with Iranian, Kurdish, and Lebanese food.

They don't offer most Persian kebabs, and the quality is far from authentic Persian food. There wouldn't be my choice anymore.

I've been here for 20 years and their Shawarma has been consistently great. They have a great strong spice mix, and a generously sized portion. Pro tip: ask them to add potatoes to the Shawarma. Also some of the employees have been working for over two decades, and I've never had a bad experience with them. Always smiling and friendly. Wholeheartedly recommend the place.

Hey, make the cafe cheaper, it never costs too much. That would be correct. Overall, the food was good 😁 It's always busy here. And very well attended. The staff were polite.

It feels like 20 years ago that I was here. Back then, the shop was a few doors down and a bit smaller. The food was delicious even back then, and the owner is amazing. He always exudes a good mood and plays his shop like a pianist plays the piano. I'd love to come back!👍

Delicious and the Kubide is a dream

I was curious to try something new in the vicinity of Kantstraße. Karun Bistro did not disappoint! I went with the recommendation of the staff and got the Sabji Beef Stew. It was delicious. The service was super friendly and attentive. I was even asked mid meal if I was happy. This is a rarity these days... It was a late lunch so it wasn't super busy, yet there was a few tables seated. Good energy, great food, authentic friendliness and fair prices. I can imagine the place gets packed. I'll be back for sure.

The employees are extremely friendly. I didn't find the vegetarian plate really convincing, the individual elements flowed into each other and the hummus wasn't very creamy. You can do it, but I won't be a regular here, especially since the hygienic conditions are probably questionable. Anyway, the food gave me intestinal problems.
