Kourosh in Berlin

Unfortunately, not a good experience. We ordered Kebab Soltani twice – the meat was very tough and tasteless. The rice wasn't good either. Not recommended.

Good ambiance and service. The former made us a bit uneasy upon entering, as it was very chic, but what we then encountered in terms of price and quality was absolutely shocking. €28!!! for Barg (lamb fillet), the Sabzi plate was incredibly meager, and the Nun Kangak (bread) as a side dish was stale. It was below average, and as a Persian, I can say that this was the worst Iranian restaurant I have ever been to in Berlin. Absolutely outrageous!!! The price-performance ratio is insane. UPDATE regarding the restaurant's response: The description of the bread was incorrect, but that doesn't change the fact that it tasted hard and stale. It also wasn't warm. The Sabzi plate is served in EVERY Persian restaurant; perhaps that will impress the uninitiated. This doesn't change the fact that the sabzi plate was marginally small (and didn't even contain half an onion) and wasn't fresh. For this price, it's simply ridiculous. The barley, while tasty and well-marinated, was also completely unreasonable at €28. Compared to the competition, this is beyond outrageous. You can keep trying to downplay everything, but then everyone should form their own opinion and see who's right.

I was very disappointed with this Persian restaurant. The food was generally bad, especially the meat, which had an unpleasant, stale smell. The prices were completely disproportionate to the quality of the food. There are many good Persian restaurants in Berlin, but this one unfortunately isn't among them – even though it's close to me. I definitely won't be going back.

Hello everyone. Whenever we come to Berlin, we visit different Persian restaurants. We discovered Restaurant Kourosh online. Since we have a small dog, we had to call ahead to ask if we could bring him. The restaurant owner was very nice and friendly on the phone and told us, of course, we could bring our dog. We were thrilled when we walked in, both by the ambiance and, of course, the warm welcome from the owners. The decor is very modern and stylish, so we felt comfortable from the very first second. Our next surprise came when the appetizer was served. It was simply delicious, and the homemade bread, served warm, was an added bonus. Then came the main course, and it exceeded our expectations. The filet skewer and the delicious minced meat skewer were simply the most delicious things I have ever eaten in a Persian restaurant. It was simply heavenly and enchanting. Although we were full afterward, we ordered dessert, which was actually made by the owner's wife herself, and tried it. ... On a scale of 1 to 10, we give it a 10+. We're from Hanover, but we've already decided that when we're in Berlin, we'll only eat at Restaurant Kourosh. Thank you for the warm welcome and the delicious food.

The first Iranian restaurant I went to in Berlin was this one. As always, I ordered Chelo Kebab, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The food was plentiful and of excellent quality, with side dishes that were really worth the effort. Also, delicious, local Doogh is highly recommended. The space was stylish, modern, and very clean.

This restaurant has all the positive comments they've picked. I went to them today and got chicken. It's the worst food a restaurant can give a customer. I felt it was my duty to let everyone know.

The price differences are unprofessional and unacceptable. A dish (e.g., kebab koobideh) costs €20 in one app, €16 in another, and only €13 in the restaurant itself. Such differences demonstrate a lack of seriousness – prices must be transparent and consistent!

I was looking for a Persian restaurant in Berlin and Koroush restaurant pop up on google search. From the reviews and photos and ofcourse the name Koroush (Cyrus the great) I said for sure I have to go for lunch here today. As I was walking towards the restaurant I was greeted by the owner MrAhmed. He had a warm smile and very kindly welcomes me to the restaurant. I order Vaziri kebab which is one minced kebab (koobideh) and one chicken kebab ( joojeh). I order non alcoholic beer and mast o mosir ( yogurt eshallots dip). It did not take long before the food has arrived. The aroma and the spices took me to Iran. The food portions were great. large sizes chicken and koobideh with decent amount of rice two tomatos grilled one green pepper and a small portion salad. The food taste great and the food was served hot. I was very impressed by the service and quality of the food at Koroush restaurant. Next time I'm in Berlin I will surely visit Koroush restaurant again. the worst restaurant you can go to 👎🏻👎🏻 don’t waste your time and go somewhere else

We were guests there yesterday. Unfortunately, the food wasn't what we had hoped for. A mixed grill for two people. The meat was sometimes tough, chewy, and not seasoned. The rice wasn't freshly prepared, and the coffee tasted strange. We've found much better in other Persian restaurants, for example. In our own interest, please improve in the future. Also, there are apparently too few menus? At least the service was okay.

Bar was good. Kubideh and Kashmir bademjan very bad. Only one girl was doing everything which I’m not sure it’s even legal and then they billed me in euro and charged me in pounds so I basically paid 50 pounds for one plate of food.

The people were really friendly when we came to the restaurant. All smiles and sweetness from the staff. We recommend the sampler platter for the appetizer. It was stupendous. I could have eaten a full entree of each. My wife had the lamb kebabs and I had the chicken in sauce. Both were excellent and for me the chicken was cooked perfectly and the rice that came with it was buttery and included the crispy bits as I would expect from a Persian restaurant. Highly recommend!

If you want to taste the best tasting Iranian food, you can go here. The lady who takes care of the customers is really kind and caring. The food portion is huge, good quality, price could be better but still not expensive. I like everything about here, also their environment is cool and green

We shared the starter plate for four people and tried three of the stews. The food is delicious. Each dish in the starter plate and among the stews had a unique taste. The staff was attentive, they made funny jokes in between quick service and gave us good recommendations regarding which stews to pick. All in all a very good experience. Highly recommend.

You can tell they haven't quite gotten used to it yet: without the music, the interior felt like a lifeless hall. The grilled skewers were served without explanation on a separate plate with raw onions and a mountain of fresh herbs, and we didn't immediately understand how it all fit together. We were there with a toddler and had missed a high chair. The service was otherwise pleasant and the food good, if a bit expensive.

Not recommended, I had the worst food of my entire life here, undercooked lamb kebab, hard with a very bad smell, poor quality, leaf kebab was so hard it was inedible, the chicken smelled, all the food was poor quality, unfortunately we got sick after eating the food, don't waste your money. 🤢🤮

Finally, a restaurant in the North Tower at Strausberger Platz again! The food was good, the service unobtrusive but good, including appropriate explanations of the dishes and typical local drinks. We wish the team much success and consider the restaurant a valuable asset.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is not at all cozy. The quality of the food was very poor. The barg and barre had neither taste nor a pleasant aroma—in fact, they smelled unpleasant. The barg was as tough as chewing gum and not at all edible. The djudje and kubide were okay, but not perfect. When the menu says that the rice is served with fragrant saffron, you expect it to be there—both in terms of taste and aroma. Unfortunately, that was not the case at all. The prices are above average compared to other Persian restaurants in Germany, especially for appetizers, side dishes, etc. I cannot recommend this restaurant under any circumstances.

The restaurant is really a gem of Stalinist GDR architecture, very elegant and reduced, beautiful, elaborate wall lights, worked marble-like columns in the entrance area of ​​the restaurant, stone floors with inlays, high ceilings, a hall-like guest room. The tables are very elegant, simply set with cutlery, glasses and crockery. The service is very attentive and polite, but my knowledge of German seemed to need a bit of improvement. The owner is very personable and polite, not at all "monitoring" or intrusive, refilled my water twice. The price of the food is borderline reasonable, but the cost of goods is getting more and more expensive and the quality of the lamb fillet and chicken fillet, the incredibly well prepared saffron fragrant rice are definitely worth the money! The mild Persian yogurt with spring onions was delicious but could have been portioned a little more generously for 8 euros... So was the portion of pistachio ice cream as a dessert with 3 clear scoops... Overall, I can only recommend the restaurant "Kourosh" and I wish the owners much success, Karl-Marx-Allee is becoming increasingly difficult for upscale restaurants due to the occupancy policy of the housing association there... I'm hoping for the summer with outdoor dining too! All the best!

We visited this restaurant a few days ago for the first time, and it was truly a great experience. The service was excellent — the waiteress was very polite, kind, and she attentive, checking on us several times throughout our meal. The food was delicious! I highly recommend the Joojeh Soltani — it was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere is also lovely, with beautiful Persian artwork on the ceiling that gives the place a unique and memorable vibe. It was a sweet and special experience overall. Definitely recommend it to everyone!

Ordered Koubideh, it was too salty. Almost gave up at the middle. The atmosphere was too empty. Feels like eating at a parking lot. Staff were cold and not welcoming. Not to mention the prices. Almost 5€ more than what other Persian restaurants offer. Not recommended.

Wir haben uns sehr geärgert. Das Essen, welches teuer ist, hat nach nichts geschmeckt. Es war langweilig und überhaupt nicht gewürzt. Auf die Bitte nach Salz und Pfeffer wurde zögerlich reagiert. Bei der Rechnung wurde das nach nichts schmeckende Gericht auch nicht von der Rechnung genommen. Die Weinschorle, 0,1 kostete 6,90€. Der Eigentümer bzw. seine Partnerin wirkten eher gelangweilt als engagiert. Den Reis der mir runtergefallen ist, habe ich selber weggeputzt. Sehr schade, wir hatten uns so gefreut über ein neues Lokal im Viertel .
