Very good food. Friendly waiters, nice and cozy atmosphere. There are also vegetarian dishes. What more do you want?

Accustomed to the Michelin guide, I looked to reserve a good table on a Sunday evening. This restaurant is a "bib gourmand", which should ensure a minimum standard. Unfortunately this was not really the case! The restaurant is located a little outside the center. About fifteen minutes on foot which will whet your appetite. We order an aperitif that I will have to ask for 4 times before it arrives, about an hour after taking the order! Tables that arrived after us had already received their food before we finally received our appetizer. The waiter barely apologized. He was overwhelmed: this restaurant only has one server for the entire restaurant! In terms of food, nothing really famous while we had their "classics" (cordon bleu and schnitzel), at rather high prices. The fries were ordinary, mayonnaise/ketchup in small bowls but certainly not homemade, the fries really average... The starter (bayerisches Vitello), however, was better. Finally, the wine list is very small and really not extraordinary (we had a wine for more than 40 euros which cost 7 euros at the estate, and which was really not famous). In short, it's a shame to go out on a Sunday evening to have a good time and end up having a very bad time having to ask constantly, just to have our order served. It is needless to say that the restaurant has not made any commercial gesture to "pass the pill"! I really have no idea why the Michelin guide recommends this restaurant.

Great restaurant, tasted very tasty. Would definitely like to go here again. In any case, it is always very busy, you should make a reservation in advance, otherwise you run the risk of not getting a seat. The restaurant isn't that big either, everything is great. Service was also very nice. Have already recommended this restaurant to others.

The Falke23 is a real pearl in the Minga gastronomic world. Anyone who stops by here will get incredibly delicious food, served by incredibly nice and experienced hosts in an ambience that masters the balancing act between classic and modern like no one else. There were eight of us, some ordered the 3-course menu, some the 4-course menu and some à la carte. All courses were perfectly timed and there was not a single failure in terms of quality (and I have rarely experienced this in upscale restaurants). Respect and many thanks to the team! Is there anything to complain about? Actually not. But if you really want to get something out of your fingers, then maybe the temperature in the dining room is a little too high for my taste. Conclusion: This great restaurant is definitely in the fine dining category in terms of quality. The price level is surprisingly moderate, without any compromises in service. Absolute recommendation!

We found the food at Falke23 really excellent. You can't get any better Viennese veal schnitzel in Vienna and we go there every now and then. Great souffléed in clarified butter and served with lukewarm potato salad. Delicious. In our opinion, this could have used a little more acid (vinegar), but that is criticism at a very high level. Kaiserschmarrn for dessert is light, fluffy and with roasted aromas, just as it should be. Plus the best (most likely homemade) apple compote we've ever tasted. Big compliment to the kitchen! Admittedly, the concept of combining a restaurant whose interior is more like a simple, typical Munich tavern with fine dining takes some getting used to for us. But since we were completely impressed by the food, that's okay. The service is unobtrusive, friendly and professional.

Have been to a handful of Bib Gourmand restaurants that all blew my mind. This one however was just fine. The food was really really good, however service did leave a bit to be desired at times. It was a bit surprising since we were one of the first ones in for dinner. I feel like it may have just been a hiccup that night and would definitely give them another try next time I am in Munich.

The food was excellent (for me it was the best Wiener Schnitzel of my life and the tartare from God's grace). In addition, the staff was very courteous and friendly. You immediately felt welcome - as if you were with your own family. The ambience was also fantastic. In summary: food 10/10, ambience 10/10, staff 11/10! We will definitely come back next time we visit Munich!

I'm sorry, but I can't fully understand the positive reviews. Some dishes were still somewhat good. But: The fat for the main courses tasted stale and like other dishes. (If you order a schnitzel, it shouldn't taste like ham and cheese). The triplets were burnt and unpleasant; no one in the group ate them. The potato salad was rather dry and tasteless. The rest is over-seasoned. If you raise criticisms on site, you are more likely to be laughed at - and then almost ignored. It's a shame, because the beginnings were there!

Addendum: As you can see from the restaurant's response, the ability to take criticism is not the restaurant's strength. I took out the prices (they were stated correctly by the landlord). Strangely enough, although the response was malicious, the actual points of criticism were not addressed. Offering something rustic doesn't mean everything has to be worn out and the menu is dirty. Unfortunately a big disappointment. I like to spend a lot of money on good food, but this was just expensive and bad. The ambience seems run down when you enter: Leather on the bench torn, menu dirty, cutlery damaged. Food reads as “tasty” and some of it tastes quite good, but unfortunately the temperature isn’t right or the seasoning isn’t right: Soup: Cold, plate, very hot. Cordon Bleu: oversalted, peppery, huge portion Cordon Bleu with pork is cooked in the same pan as the veal schnitzel. Frying fat smelled old. Service: At first nice and euphoric. When we first criticized us, we were ignored. In the end there was at least a €3 discount on schnitzel and cordon bleu... wow. Very disappointing, I have to write to Michelin and ask: Why is this store still recommended? Can NOT understand the good reviews.

The food was very good, though I did feel like compared to other restaurants I tried during my trip, it was overpriced for the portion sizes. However, it was delicious and we were both recommended two different wines and both were EXCELLENT. My partner and I both agreed that it was some of the best white wine we have had out at a restaurant. The reason this gets 4 stars and not 5 is two fold though. First is I thought it was a bit overpriced. But second was our experience coming into the restaurant. There was a man outside, not sure if he was drunk or just rude, but he made us uncomfortable. He started flirting with my partner, but then also told him to get naked. The “jokes” continued and obviously made us both very uncomfortable and the impression we got was that he was doing this intentionally. Once we sat down at the restaurant we considered saying something, but then saw the guy come in and it was clear he was very good friends with one of the owners. I don’t know if other customers had the same experience as we did, but I just thought it wasn’t great that they witnessed their friend behaving inappropriately towards their guests and did / said nothing.

Cozy and good! Delicious food, good service and a pub atmosphere. The volume was very high when the house was full and around 10:30 p.m. the pub emptied quickly because the kitchen was closed. Conclusion: eat and then move on... Not my favorite for sitting comfortably for long periods of time.

The food was amazing, as well as the stuff. Definitely one of the best places where you can eat traditional local food here in the city!

We were at Falke 23 on Easter Sunday. Unfortunately it didn't live up to our expectations. We had the menu with wine accompaniment. Overall, we were not impressed by the dishes and the service was friendly but chaotic. The last course was only served after an hour upon request and the dessert wine was completely forgotten. Based on the otherwise very good reviews, we assume that this was an exception. Maybe we'll come back and try the dishes from the normal menu. Addendum: Now that I have received a letter from a lawyer claiming that I was never a guest at Falke23, I am changing my rating to one star

We were very much looking forward to our dinner here and had reservations well in advance, which were confirmed via email. We had our hotel call the restaurant to make sure they were open as it looked closed on Google. They reassured hotel rep that they were open. After taking a taxi across town we discovered that the restaurant was indeed closed. No one called or reached out to us to cancel our reservation. Very unprofessional and disappointing indeed.

Super delicious Bavarian cuisine with a certain touch of sophisticated cuisine. Great service, Augustiner beer and a good selection of wines round off your visit to Falke23. We've visited probably five times now and have never been disappointed.

The Falke23 is a down-to-earth restaurant with smart Bavarian cuisine. The service is outstanding and extremely warm. Rico in particular is a bomb. Prices are a little higher, but you get absolutely impeccable quality. Highly Recommended!

I was in the Falke for the first time with my sister. I have rarely experienced such an ambience and atmosphere in Munich. You can notice the highly professional work in the kitchen. Really crazy. These taste explosions. Only the best of the best in terms of quality. Definitely again!

Me and my friend went there for dinner and I can only recommend this place!!!!!!!! We reserved the table spontaneously and it was totally worth it:)))) The food was great, the wine too. The service was also very good and although there was a lot going on, they had a lot of time for us. So finally a very good restaurant with very good modern Bavarian cuisine.

I have been visiting Falke 23 with friends and business partners since it opened in 2021. The service is always friendly, courteous and competent, and therefore excellent. The kitchen, under the new kitchen management and team, brings creative and Bavarian dishes to the plate using regional and fresh ingredients. Although, as a native Swabian, I naturally claim the Käsespätzle as Swabian, which are excellent thanks to the preparation and selection of cheese :-) This quality and the self-imposed demands on it come at a reasonable price. In keeping with Bavarian tradition, the restaurant offers long tables where locals and strangers sit down at the same table and either chat or part ways as strangers. My review from 2021: A new pearl in the pub heaven. What sets this restaurant apart from a normal pub is, on the one hand, the super friendly service and very tasty food, with a menu that reinterprets traditional Bavarian dishes with a twist. The restaurant has a coziness with a living room feel, thanks to the mix of modernity and tradition. We recommend!

Falcon 23... The most important thing first: we would love to come back! A great inn with excellent cuisine and very good service. The entire team does a great job. I had the best onion roast on my plate in a long time. The Tatar and “Bavarian Vitello” were also convincing. Salad fresh and well dressed. Good open wines. Thanks again to the entire team for a lovely evening. A little tip for “out-of-towners” who arrive by car: You can park cheaply “around the corner” at Mariahilfplatz.

Wir hatten große Erwartungen an diesen Abend - diese wurden leider nicht erfüllt. Insbesondere müssen wir deutliche Minuspunkte an den Service vergeben. Ich bestellte als Vorspeise ein Lachs Tartar. Wenig später kam dann ein Rinder Tartar an. Sehr verwundert fragte ich direkt nach. Der Kellner versicherte mir (in nicht sehr freundlichem Ton), dass das das Lachs Tartar sei. Oben drauf war ein Eigelb und man sah auf den ersten Blick, dass das nicht stimmen kann. Wenn man an ein Restaurant einen gewissen Anspruch haben will, gehe ich davon aus, dass die Kellner wenigstens die Gerichte auf der Karte kennen sollten. Ich begann dann nach seiner Versicherung sogar direkt, dieses Tartar zu essen, bis der Kellner - wohl doch verunsichert - mit einer zweiten Person kam, die dann sofort bemerkte, dass das Rind sei. Es gibt sicher Leute, die kein (rohes) Rind essen, sodass dieser Fehler sehr schwer wiegt. Eine Entschädigung wurde nicht angeboten. Dazu kam, dass die Bratkartoffeln der Hauptspeise jedenfalls zum Teil schwarz verbrannt waren. Hier wurden uns jedenfalls vier Schnaps angeboten zur Entschädigung. Beim Cordon Bleu sollten Rosmarinkartoffeln dabei sein, auf dem Teller lagen jedoch Bratkartoffeln. Alles in allem konnte dieses Restaurant die Ansprüche nicht erfüllen. Wir können dieses daher nicht weiterempfehlen.

Won 1-0 in Munich. Where better to end this evening than at Falke23. Very well booked that evening, which also ensures a great atmosphere and a pleasant ambience. The team is always attentive and provides great advice. Great advice was given for lactose intolerance. Delicious bread after a long day without food helped us get to the tartare. Nothing further needs to be said about the Swabian onion roast. The absolute highlight. Thank you for the great time. Conclusion: Also in 2024, Falke23 is the address par excellence. And don't forget to reserve in advance.

I was at the inn today and the onion roast was served with a lot of sauce. If I have enough time, I will come back tomorrow to try a roast pork. :-)

Gehobene bayerische Küche mit sehr leckeren Essen, bester Bedienung und oft queerem Publikum. Bin immer wieder gerne hier. Schön, dass hier auch einzelne Gerichte vom Menü mit den normalen Speisen kombiniert werden kann.

Die Rinderconsomme war nie im Leben eine Kraftbrühe, sondern eine dünne Wasserschnalzn, obendrein versalzen und nur lauwarm. Von den "Grießnocken" (Plural) war nur eines drin und von den Frittaten fehlte jede Spur. Zwiebelrostbraten war bis auf die Sauce okay. Die dazu bestellten Pommes waren labbrig. Kaiserschmarrn viel zu teigig, es fehlte jegliche Fluffigkeit. Sorry, aber das war leider nix.

Nous y sommes allés grâce au guide michelin. Il a un Bib. Nous avons accepté de nous éloigner du centre pour tester la cuisine et nous avons été vraiment déçus … plat sans grande originalité, service extrêmement long même si les serveurs sont sympathiques. La carte de vin n’est pas dingue. Ça ne corresponds pas vraiment aux standards habituels des Bib Michelin.

Von außen unscheinbares Lokal, aber das Essen hat es in sich. Hatte schon lange vor den Zwiebelrostbraten zu probieren und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Das Fleisch war zart und rosa, die Zwiebeln sowohl karamellisiert als auch geröstet. Die Sauce hat alles abgerundet. Zur Vorspeise hatten wir das Beef Tartar. Es war für meinen Geschmack etwas zu senflastig und deswegen etwas scharf, aber geschmeckt hat es trotzdem. Das Lokal innen ist eng besetzt und wenn es voll ist - und das ist es meistens - kann es laut werden. Trotz allem ist der Service stets freundlich und aufmerksam.

Super gemütliches Ambiete, sehr freundlicher und zuvorkommender Service und der beste Zwiebelrostbraten, den ich je gegessen habe!!! War mit Sicherheit nicht der letzte Besuch :-)

Großes Lob an das gesamte Team für den tollen Service und das wirklich sehr gute Essen. Hier werden Klassiker teilweise etwas frischer und neuer interpretiert, eine wirklich willkommene Abwechslung!

Manchmal feiere ich den Guide Michelin, insbesondere auch wenn ein so ein tolles Wirtshaus abseits des Mainstreams empfohlen wird. Ausgezeichnet wurde das Falke23 mit dem Bib Gourmand für bestes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Die Speisekarte präsentiert sich schön übersichtlich mit einem kreativen Menü und diversen Wirtshausklassikern. Reserviert habe ich über die Website, die freundliche Bestätigung erfolgte umgehend mit dem Hinweis, dass für ein Nichterscheinen oder eine kurzfristige Absage von weniger als 6 Stunden vor dem Termin eine Ausfallpauschale von 20,- € pro Person fällig wird - inzwischen 30,- € mit Angabe der Kreditkartendaten. Aus meiner Sicht im Zeitalter von zunehmenden No-Shows völlig legitim. Am Herd steht ein gebürtiger Schwabe, der bereits Erfahrungen in der gehobenen Gastronomie sammeln konnte, unter anderem in Heidelberg. Convenience-Produkte kennt man hier selbstverständlich nicht, die Zutaten werden überwiegend von regionalen Erzeugern und Lieferanten bezogen. Das Menü klang wirklich verlockend, aber ich habe eine ausgeprägte Schwäche für Zwiebelrostbraten und so musste es unbedingt dieser Klassiker für moderate 27,- € von der Schmankerlkarte sein. Volltreffer! Absolut Benchmark! Ich habe noch nie zuvor einen so perfekten Rostbraten gegessen…..und es waren schon so einige! Die bayerische Färse zart und mit gutem Eigengeschmack, schöne Röstaromen, genial die reduzierte Kalbsjus. Dazu gab es unter den frischen! Röstzwiebeln ein fein geschnittenes Zwiebelconfit mit angenehm dezenter Süße, sehr, sehr harmonisch mit der würzigen Jus. Der Liebste war mal wieder flexitarisch unterwegs und seine Berkäsmaultaschen wurden sogar mehrfach lobend erwähnt. Wirklich gut gemacht, würzige Maultaschen mit ordentlich Käs, passend die fruchtigen Komponenten - Apfelkompott und Preiselbeeren - und ein üppiger, gut angemachter Wildkräutersalat. Der Schwabe kann was. Gute Portionen, der Kaiserschmarrn für 2 Personen hatte leider keine Chance. Münchner, Touris, Geschäftsreisende oder wer auch immer…..macht Euch auf den Weg in die Au…..hier kann man zu zivilen Preisen richtig gut essen und trinken.

Nach dem Aufenthalt riecht man nach gebratenem Fett, als ob man den ganzen Abend höchst persönlich in der Küche gestanden hätte. Sehr unangenehm!

Wir hatten einen sehr guten Zwiebelrostbraten. Der Kaiserschmarren war gut aber für die Größe der Portion leider etwas teuer, 24€ zu dritt die Portion war aber selbst für zwei nicht groß.

Wir waren OHNE Reservierung am Samstag Abend dort angekommen, haben sofort einen Tisch bekommen der eigentlich reserviert war, das Essen kam schnell und wir konnten wieder mal (waren das 3. mal hier, immer am Museums-Besuchs-Wochenende) ein so leckeres, besonderes und auch optisch tolles Essen genießen, vielen Dank dafür an das immer aufmerksame und freundliche Team! Es ist einer der Höhepunkt an unserem Männerwochenende! Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder (:-)

Für gute bayerische Küche war das Essen sehr sehr gut. Was die Bewertung ausmachte ist, dass wir das Gefühl hatten auf der einen Seite möchte man ein bayerisches Wirtshaus haben und auf der anderen Seite so etwas wie eine Sterneküche. Das passt nicht!

We went there for our wedding anniversary. We both had the menu with a different combination. The food was good, my husband said it was not enough for him. I did find it sufficient. It looks like the a la carte has larger portion sizes. Overall it was a nice and enjoyable evening.

Great food, friendly service and warm cozy atmosphere. Very happy we found this place. We were lucky that they had a table for two when we arrived because it was packed and buzzing. Als Auswärtiger aus Hessen habe ich dieses Wirtshaus vor Jahren durch Zufall gefunden. Immer, wenn ich heutzutage in der Nähe und hungrig bin, kehre ich hier ein. Echtes Münchner Lokal ohne Chichi, aber mit bayrischer Gemütlichkeit und großartiger Küche. Gut, Samstag war die Hütte voll....und wir hatten nicht reserviert. War ja unser Versagen. Vielen Dank, daß man uns nach klarer Zeitansage, wann wir den Tisch für die Reservierung zu räumen hätten, dennoch bewirtete. Denn das Essen war (wieder mal) ein echter Gaumenschmaus. Ein schöner Abend.

Obviously a gay-friendly Bavarian tavern with a modern twist and a lot of regular guests from the neighbourhood. It is frequently jam-packed; so you better make a reservation upfront. The primarily traditional dishes were mostly excellent like the authentic 'Szegediner Gulasch' or 'Zwiebelrostbraten' but once in a while also a bit disappointing like the clotted & dry 'Kaiserschmarrn' which we ordered for dessert. The laid-back service team presented itself in a cordial way and the prices were adequate. I would return at any time. 🍻

Sehr gutes Restaurant, eher traditioneller. Highlight war der Schmorbraten mit dem „perfekten Zwiebel-Soße-Fleisch-Verhältnis“. Perfekt zubereitet. Auch das Cordon Bleu war sehr lecker. Nur die Beilagen: die waren nicht ganz so überzeugend. Und der Salat geht gar nicht, sorry. Komme trotzdem wieder.

Wir waren schon mehrfach hier. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und toll zubereitet. Sie Gerichte sind kreativ und schön angerichtet. Wir sind Vegetarier und haben hier immer etwas leckeres gefunden, nicht nur die Standarts wie käsespatzle (die aber auch sehr zu empfehlen sind). Auch das Menü kann man in vegetarisch bestellen.

Fantastisch!!! Super leckeres und frisches Essen, sehr gute Weine und der Service ist einfach nur mega toll! Eignet sich auch sehr gut für private Feiern. Tipp: Unbedingt den Marillen Schnaps probieren:-)

The service was subpar. We made a reservation for 8 at 8:30 and the closing time was listed for 11pm. We were rushed to order our entrees at 8:45. Furthermore we were not allowed to order the 3 or 4 course meal. The food was mostly good or very good.

Leckeres, bodenständiges bairisches Essen neben einer großartigen Mehrgänge-Menü-Karte. Bin jedesmal vom netten Service überrascht.
