Falafel Salam in Berlin

We booked the catering buffet from Falafel Salam for a birthday celebration and we weren't disappointed! All 17 of us thought it was fantastic and delicious, the portions were more than generous (we were still enjoying them at breakfast!), and the chafing fuel lasted a long time, keeping everything warm for over three hours so even the last guests could eat hot. Even the picky kids loved it! The food was served on beautiful plates, a real eye-catcher! I highly recommend booking catering here; you get a fantastic, all-inclusive package! Super nice without overdoing it. The fresh falafel were crispy and tender and just perfect. Definitely a new favorite! We sat outside and it wasn't too loud. Highly recommended!

Very nice and cozy place that my family loved. Shared a vegetarian plate with my daughter, we were both full and satisfied. You get a lot of food for your money. It seemed to be a popular place, but with few seats and you can only sit two at each table, but it was fine for my family to sit at separate tables. Attentive and fast staff, didn't have to wait long at all for the food. Can really recommend for those who want fantastically good food!

The food was miserable and almost inedible. The only edible thing was the shawarma with spicy sauce. I could only eat half of it and threw the rest away in disgust. Service was okay; we only waited 10 minutes for a slightly larger order. I would have loved to throw it out the door. 😂

It was a very nice little place to take a break and have a snack. The food was okay, and the prices were reasonable.

We've known the shop for over 40 years, and the falafel is nothing like it was a few years ago. Sesame sauce has been replaced with yogurt with a hint of sesame flavor, served in a tough wrap, and the taste is bland. The tea was pub-warm. Last time for us.

Dry and tasteless. Neither the shawarma nor the falafel had good flavor or high-quality ingredients. They weren't well seasoned either. A waste of money. Habibi at the Nolle was much better.

Falafel Salam has been around for... a long time! The value for money has always been good. It goes without saying that you can't expect luxury at this price. If you want a quick, inexpensive meal on a tight budget, this is the place for you. Let's go!

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The falafel were very dry and lacked herbs inside. The taste was rather bland. The shawarma plate was also almost entirely uninspired. A sauce (standard yogurt) and a bit of mixed salad. The beef was somewhere between dry, very marbled, and barely seasoned. So, the otherwise great taste experiences we've had in Berlin were definitely not there. There are so many good comparisons in Berlin, and the service is significantly better. For that price, you'd have to call it a tourist rip-off on the Ku'damm.

Quite okay, average. Overrated! Fresh preparation isn't always guaranteed. They also serve reheated falafel, halloumi, and shawarma. A shame!

A small shop with indoor and outdoor seating! We received a very friendly welcome, and since we were having a hard time deciding, we opted for a platter for two people based on a recommendation. It had everything on it, was a visual eye-catcher, and was delicious. They even served some bread. The value for money is more than fair. Thumbs up!

A good, long-established snack bar, perhaps the first falafel spot in its day. However, the falafel isn't the most impressive. However, the hummus and tabbouleh are top-notch. In my opinion, the falafel is even better...

Great Lebanese food for a very reasonable price.

Overall the food tastes good but some missing ingredients like garlic in the Tahini sauce, lemon juice for the Tabouleh. Service is just 3 stars because although the people are friendly but they don’t give great effort to explain the dish

Best shawarma I've ever eaten. Great meat with truly delicious spices, and the sauce is to die for. I often drive 30km to get there. It's worth it!!! Cash only!!!

I have rarely eaten such good falafel. I think it's particularly good that you can combine the dishes with each other. The accompanying sauce had just the right intensity. The shop is a little small but when the sun is shining you can sit outside. The staff is super friendly and on the ball.

We were there today, it took a moment longer because a customer who did his weekly shopping there (no joke) left the store with a box. The employee was so personable, polite and nice! I guess the MA fasts and works with food all day and is still so nice. The food was very good 👍 we'll be back!

The best falafel in all of Berlin! The two of us always share an Arabic platter, which fills us up well. It always tastes delicious and the teas are also highly recommended.

Most likely one of the smallest and tastiest places in Berlin for falafel and such. Constant high quality over the last years. Watch out - fresh pomegranate juice but no restrooms. Vegan options available.

Delicious Falafel, Churros with Dubai Chocolate

This is my best Arabic restaurant in Berlin. If you visit Berlin, make sure to try their Flafel and beef shawarma.

The falafel were very tasty. The salad was nothing special. The portions are small. Unfortunately, only cash payment was possible. Additionally, the store is very small but very inexpensive. Overall, I can recommend the store for small appetites.

Unfortunately it has nothing to do with Arabic cuisine. Bread is cold, small portions and service is not particularly friendly. You probably rest because of the good location. Tea is warmed in the microwave… without words. Not recommended…

Falafel Salam is simply fantastic! The falafel here is fresh, crispy and full of flavor – exactly how it should be. You can immediately tell that high-quality, fresh ingredients are used here. The selection of side dishes and sauces is also great and makes every order an individual pleasure. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere in the store is relaxed and welcoming. No matter whether you take something quick with you or eat comfortably on site, you simply feel at home. The homemade sauces and freshly baked breads are a particular highlight. I always enjoy coming here and can recommend Falafel Salam to anyone who wants authentic, delicious falafel and Mediterranean cuisine. Absolute recommendation!

The staff was friendly and spoke English. The shaverma was the best shaverma I've had.

Wir haben noch nie zuvor arabisch gegessen und ehrlich gesagt kannten wir auch keins der Gerichte, aber ich kann eins sagen, ich hab noch nie zuvor so gut gegessen. Ein absoluter „Geheimtipp“. Überhaupt nicht überfüllt, klein und süßer Laden. Alle waren so freundlich und es war sooo lecker! Ich kann es nur jedem empfehlen! 🩷

The homemade falafel is very delicious. Perhaps the price of the dish is a little high, the bread is not homemade, but still for the posh neighborhood, the prices are logical, the place is very warm and familiar. There are no bathrooms, but you can ask to use the bathroom in one of the places on the street. They have a terrace, it is very nice.

Most delicious falafel I've had it a long time

Super delicious, oriental food in a small, family restaurant with tables for inside and outside. I liked the hemp falafel balls and the hummus best. But the fried halloumi was also incredibly tasty. The food is not expensive, amazing and close to Ku-Damm. We now had a catering order for 15 people and our guests were also thrilled. It was delivered on time on beautiful oriental dishes. I can only warmly recommend it. We'll definitely be back.

The food was the best thing I have ever eaten in my life! Everything was perfect. I was there with another person, which is why we chose the Arabic plate. This was really excellent in terms of appearance and taste. The pastries were also a delight in terms of taste and appearance and should not be missed. Mir haben die Hanf Fallafel Bällchen und der Humus am Besten geschmeckt, aber auch der Halloumi ist ausgezeichnet. Jederzeit wieder Sehr zu empfehlen.

Wonderful family run falafel place! I lived in Berlin many years ago… This was one of our go-to places as vegetarians. Imagine my delight when i returned after 30 years…. Still, a family-run place with friendly service, excellent falafels with plentiful vegetables & fresh bread— and amazing home-made “hot sauce”. (In former days, it contained walnuts… but now, due to allergy concerns, they leave out the walnut). The other vegetarian options are also very tasty Highly recommend this family-friendly, Cozy establishment — a few tables inside, and out. Very reasonable prices. Lovely people!

I ate falafel here at least once a week 37 years ago and it was always delicious and fresh. I was there again recently and by chance tried the shawarma, for me it was the best in Berlin. As a native of Berlin, I have often eaten shawarma elsewhere, but here the aroma of the spices is so present and delicious. The only problem for me in the future is deciding which of the two to eat 😉!!!

My favorite Shawarma! Great food, excellent sauce with it... it can get a bit messy but it is absolutely worth it! Try it out yourself and you will not go anywhere else when in Berlin close to the city center west.

But you don’t expect to sit here with a large group - the room is simply tiny, and there are only 4 small tables (maximum for 3-4 people). It's best to come as a couple or take away. Well, or come on warm days when they set up tables outside. :-)

Falafel and Makali were completely cold and the bread was only briefly warmed up in the microwave. Unfortunately it wasn't fresh at all and didn't taste good so it would have been lying around all day.

Had a falafel hallumi for €7. Most careless preparation, it was ready after 1 minute. Neither was fresh and no sauces were asked for. There were no Arabic vegetables or anything else, just old arugula salad that didn't taste fresh either. Here the store didn't live up to its name - a terrible disappointment. I hate to write bad reviews but that was cheeky

Tiny, family-run snack shop where you can get good oriental cuisine! I had merguez in bread with grilled vegetables and a really good homemade yogurt mint sauce. The taboulet salad is also very tasty, as is the small selection of baklava. (The prices are very fair, especially considering the location.) There are a variety of possible combinations in the menu :-) The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly. The interior is simple but functional, only about 5 tables inside, but about as many tables outside. We were almost starving at one of the nearby Americans. Fast food chains landed... what would we have missed! Conclusion: Sweet, small, nice shop & delicious Arabic food: definitely try it out ;-)

Winziger, familiärer Imbißladen, wo man gute orientalische Küche bekommt! Ich hatte Merguez im Brot mit gegrilltem Gemüse und einer echt guten, hausgemachten Joghurt-Minze-Sauce. Auch der Taboulet-Salat ist sehr fein, ebenso wie die kleine Auswahl an Baklava. (Die Preise sind sehr fair, vor allem hinsichtlich der Lage.) Es gibt vielseitige Kombinationsmöglichkeiten im Menü :-) Der Herr hinter der Theke war sehr freundlich. Das Interieur ist simpel, aber zweckmäßig, nur etwa 5 Tische drinnen, aber etwa nochmal so viele Tische draußen. Beinahe wären wir vor Hunger bei einer der nahen amerikan. Fastfoodketten gelandet...was hätten wir da verpasst! Fazit: Süßer, kleiner, netter Laden & leckeres arabisches Essen: unbedingt mal ausprobieren ;-)
