Humbaba Falafel in Berlin

I've been wanting to try this address for a long time and I wasn't disappointed! The service was ultra-smiling and friendly, and the food was delicious. Clearly one of the best street foods I've eaten lately. I'll be back!

Highly recommended, but often busy and plan for a waiting time.

It used to be excellent. Now you get the falafel basically cold / mass dispatch. No longer edible.

The food is 10 out of 10, but the gentlemen sometimes move a little too quickly. The last four times I've received something other than what I ordered.

Unfortunately not so good. Staff grumpy/unfriendly. Change is simply retained. Even though I entered the store first, people who arrived after me (2) were served before me. Quality: Falafel taste ok. Unfortunately very dry. Salad limp. Cucumber + tomato good. Burnt falafel bread. After preparation, falafel bread is placed in the contact grill. Good idea but unfortunately it took too long and the bread was burnt. Overall very dry, unfortunately not so good in terms of taste (also due to the burnt bread).

Wow it’s really delicious. They say kebabs everywhere in Berlin are delicious, but this one is really good. Instead of pita, there is an upgraded version called Tannour, which is really big, has a lot of quantity, and is the best value for money! The bread also tastes better. My recommendation is shawarma + Makali (roasted vegetables), and if you ask for half falafel and half shawarma, they make it for you for an additional €1 (3 falafels included), so it was great to be able to taste it at the same time. You can choose from 5 sauces, but I asked for all of them and they were delicious too!!!🤟⚡️There's always a line!!

Kebabberia in Turmstraße with few seats inside and above all the possibility of sitting outside. Several choices, including vegan dishes. I tried their "Vegan mix" dish, generous portions, excellent humus minus the frying, slightly dry but it can be quite complex. The main course is served with some bread and another plate with all their sauces and of course their famous mango sauce. All to compose your Kebab as you see fit. Super friendly guys. For all 3 dishes €12.90, honest!

Very nice food, and good price. It is a different Shwarma than the Dönner in most of Berlin. The bread is different. You can put Hummus and Tahini in your Shwarma and not just the normal sauses you usually find in Berlin. Highly recommended

We were visiting Berlin and noticed the shop because there was a long queue in front of it. We stood up and asked the people in front of us what was going on here; we didn't know the shawama or other names. Shawama Halumi with mango sauce was recommended. I decided on just such a plate with 4 different sauces. The plate was full to the brim and would have easily been enough for two people.... The taste was simply an explosion for my taste buds. Will definitely be a must have pattern again on our next visit to Berlin. Despite the large volume, the staff was totally friendly and in a good mood.

best kebab and falafel ive ever had. after more than 1 year of having lunch here 2-3 times a week it is still absolutely amazing. their shawarma completely destroys any other döner or kebab ive ever tasted. and for like 4 euros!!! unbelievable. i actually dont understand how they do it. it is just sooo juuicyy and savory. could eat it forever. and the falafel!! oh my god. perfect balance between crunchy exterior and soft insides. not dry at all. and such a warm flavour. bravo. lightyears ahead of 99% of 4 euro falafels. but even then we havent touched on the SAUCES. oh lord jesus almightly. heavenly. all of them are just so great. some recommended combos: 1. garlic + spicy (classic, but dont let it fool you. humbaba garlic sauce is from another galaxy. the potency is unreal) 2. mango + sesam (#1. simply otherwordly) 3. mango + erdnuss (ive not tried this since i cant eat peanut but my friend says its wild) i also hiiighly recommend adding the makali to anything you order. really great and they sometimes put a lot of it in there. they have 2 bread options: pita and tannur. i prefer the pita but the tannur is not bad, although a bit too spongy for my taste. ordering can be a bit messy and the quality of the rolls can vary. but once you get the hang of it its lovely. staff are always vibin hard

The coffee tastes very good, the cake is also good. It's very nice that you can sit in the park when the weather is nice. However, the toilet is really bad. The floor had urine and was also very dirty overall. The toilet door has been broken for months. That's why I can only give it 3 stars.

Boy I swear the best shawarma of my life. I bought one around lunchtime and ate it and then had severe diarrhea. But it was so hot that I didn't care and I got two more shawarma from you that evening. I love you hottest food in Berlin guys!!!

Unhygiene and disrespect Unfortunately, today I had to observe an unhygienic and disrespectful situation with one of the employees. In front of the customers, the employee briefly went into the kitchen, sneezed forcefully into his hands (instead of the crook of his arm), and then returned without washing his hands or putting on new gloves to continue closing the pita bags fill. He reached into all the containers for the side dishes in order to distribute the food that had just been sneezed in his hand. A few minutes later he blew his nose and continued his work again without washing his hands or changing gloves. Such a lack of hygiene, especially without a face mask, is not only unacceptable, but also poses a health risk to customers. It was absolutely disgusting.

Humbaba is the only dining establishment I know of in Moabit where you have had to queue at almost any time for many years. So bombastic quality and an incredibly fair price! I would definitely pay a visit as a guest in this area. Tip: Simply say "1 tannour (rolled flatbread) with shawarma makali (meat and fried vegetables), classic garlic hot sauce with sesame". For a small surcharge you can save yourself the waiting time if you order for pickup using the Lieferandoapp 🤫

The master behind the counter seems to be slightly overworked or just questionable as a human being… Unfriendly, aggressive and disrespectful tone, especially towards potatoes. Customers are literally insulted here in a row. The swarma was ok, but nothing more. In Berlin it is absolutely not difficult to find shops that are much better in terms of taste and where you would like to go.

Falafel halloumi and shawarma halloumi plates were very tasty, absolutely recommended for the price-performance ratio.

The most important ingredient of shawarma is chicken meat. The expectation from this is that in addition to meat, it will contain cartilage, skin, nerves, etc. is that it does not exist. If one of these touches your teeth while eating, it will be a negative score. Other ingredients are almost the same everywhere. Be it vegetables, sauces, bread, etc. Unfortunately it happened to me. What they sell as baklava is a complete disaster! I didn't pay much attention when I bought it, but when I looked carefully, I really wondered what they put in it instead of peanuts!? I came because of a recommendation from friends. I ordered a plate of shawarma. Very delicious, at €10.90 I think it is a very good option to eat if you are looking for that, to eat.

I got food poisoning. First the cash is collected with the bare hand and then the same hand is used to touch the bread without washing it first. The knife is sharpened beforehand and the meat is cut without washing the blade. The metal shavings are included in the shawarma sandwich for free. Furthermore, the store leaves me with a dirty and untidy impression.

I love the store but the wait times used to be much shorter. Now sometimes you have to wait a long time because food is being prepared for Ubereats.

I recently tried the Makali Shawarma at Humbaba Falafel. The shawarma itself was good, with flavorful, well-seasoned meat. The salads and vegetables were fresh and crisp, adding a nice contrast. The bread was satisfactory but not particularly distinctive. The sauces, however, were not very tasty and lacked bold flavors. Additionally, the consistency of the shawarma could be improved as the fillings were unevenly distributed. Overall, I would rate it a 4/5. But I saw other people ordering a Teller menu and it looked delicious. Maybe thats their signature dish and I would wanna try it next time.

I ate a shawarma very calmly and everything was good. The bread I ate was burnt and the chicken meat was not to my appetite. I just wanted to relax and eat my sweet shawarma after a hard day at work. Suddenly the owner shouted at a German citizen and said "YOU DON'T GET A SANDWICH, you know why because you were cheeky" the customer didn't do anything and the owner said "you don't eat a sandwich but only in half a shtunda" pure harassment to our good German citizen . Amazing best falafel halloumi in town

A little too hectic. The falafel taste really delicious and the selection of sauces is great. But most of the time when I was there it was poorly filled. Pita was broken when unpacking. Falafel was dry and the sauce was leaking out. Usually three dry falafel stuck together on one side, the other side was loosely filled with salad. Really good quality, but the team was a bit stressed when preparing it.
