This is one of the best falafel places in the whole of Neukoln, and maybe even all of Berlin. Hands down. Iconic.

We were in Berlin for a weekend and spontaneously walked by. Great prices and delicious food. The atmosphere was super friendly and there was a lot of joking. We were incredibly impressed and would definitely come back. :)

My top favourite place in Berlin; the Makali Halloumi sandwich is the best meal for me! I’ve been going here for a decade and am never disappointed. Food is fresh, great sauces and the staff is always friendly. Good price and nice outdoor seating.Wish there was a place like this in my home town!

Perfect place to grab a very tasty sandwich. In all the years of eating here I have never been disappointed with their food, service or waiting time. It always hits the spot when I am looking for quick and satisfying meal nearby. Their chicken shawarma and falafel are very tasty, I like the combination of all sauces and the balance of ingredients. It is inexpensive and delicious plus they have very tasty and refreshing lemonades on offer, always perfectly cold :) can only recommend Falafel Jakoub, it is my go-to.

If you're in the area, go there. We've tried many shawarmas, but none come close to this one. Simply unbelievably delicious, super fresh, and perfectly seasoned. Even though we now live in Tempelhof, we regularly drive by when we drop our children off at daycare. The food alone is worth the detour. The people there are super friendly, the quality is top-notch, and the portions are truly filling. I highly recommend it.

NEVER GO BACK TO PLACE! I’ve never in my life been treated with such disrespect and humiliation at a place I once considered a favorite. What happened during my last visit was beyond outrageous. I was flat-out accused of stealing a drink — yes, stealing — by a staff member who didn’t even bother to ask, check, or speak to me like a human being. No context, no explanation, just a public, baseless accusation as if I were some kind of criminal. I was stunned. I had paid for everything, as I always do. And yet there I was, standing in the middle of the restaurant, being stared at by strangers while an employee threw accusations at me without an ounce of professionalism or decency. No one stepped in to de-escalate. No one apologized. It was like being on trial over a bottle of soda I had already paid for. What’s worse is how cold and dismissive the staff remained, even after it was clear I had done nothing wrong. Not even a simple “sorry.” Just silence and side-eyes — as if I had caused the scene they created. I walked out feeling deeply embarrassed, angry, and honestly heartbroken. It’s terrifying how quickly a place can go from somewhere you enjoy to somewhere you never want to set foot in again. We won’t be returning, and I hope no one else has to go through what I did. Places that treat loyal customers like criminals don’t deserve your time or money.

Falafel Jakoub is King! Get everything with everything! The sandwiches are the best thing you can basically eat in Berlin, regardless of price point. My favorite is the chicken shawarma + halloumi with all the veggies and sauces - they have garlic, mango and peanut sauce and pickled radish in there... It's a symphony of texture, freshness and flavor. I eat there once a week, twice if I can stay away that long... Guaranteed mind blow. Been eating there for years and didn't have a bad sandwich yet. Skip wherever you were going to go and go here instead. I will probably be eating there when you arrive ;)

The queue and waiting time are too long and unfortunately the store is set up in such a way that you are always in the way while waiting or even have to wait outside in the rain. Then there are no delicious vegan sauces. Yogurt in tahini, which is absurd. So I ask for hummus as a sauce and they want €1 for it. Wow. If you're vegan, don't go here. Lg

Great food and, especially in this neighborhood, very fair prices. However, as an allergy sufferer you really have to be careful here, despite expressly pointing out my strong peanut allergy, I recently had a lot of peanut sauce on my sandwich and haven't eaten there since because it was too risky.

Falafel you won't forget. The food offered in this simple restaurant is unparalleled. The falafel will fill you up for a moment, and then you'll have a very light stomach in no time - maybe there's something different about this falafel, but the taste and the whole experience is great! The prices are also very wallet-friendly. I recommend adding hummus to the falafel for extra flavor!

The price-performance ratio is simply unbeatable. The falafel balls are very tasty and pleasantly seasoned. The hummus tastes very well rounded. Just try and enjoy. Keep it up.

Delicious falafel for a very fair price. I had the 4-piece combo plate with vegetables, falafel, halloumi and hummus. Everything very tasty! Only the bread we got was a bit tough, which was a shame. But very tasty for the price of €12! The service seemed a bit stressed, I had the impression that I had to apologize for wanting to order something here. Definitely just having a bad day. I'd love to come back!

Tastes delicious, there is a lot to choose from. You can combine pretty much everything and also choose from different sauces. The falafel have something cinnamony about them, if you don't like that that much, then use halloumi or makali instead :)

The owner of the shop initially ignored us when we arrived and then tried to lecture us that we weren't being served because we had no manners because we didn't say 'Hello, dear sir' straight away when we arrived. He then treated subsequent customers harshly, whereupon some simply left again. You shouldn't be treated like that. I wish you all the best for your business. Karma is gonna hit hard!

I have never eaten such delicious falafel and in combination with baba ghanoush it was so delicious that I went there to eat twice in a row!

Amazing falafel and amazing dressing. The bread quality is very nice and Ahmed the chef is very nice and friendly. Highly recommended if you are in Berlin. I took one with Halloumi cheese and added extra hummus it was super delicious.

I always enjoyed coming here, sometimes driving for a long time because it was my favorite shop of its kind. The last time, however, was really like it was suddenly a different store. As always, I had a kafta halloumi, now instead of 4 euros it was 5.5 and no Babba Ganoush there was also +1 euro instead of +50 cents. But that's probably hard to avoid. However, my kafta was ice cold, didn't taste like cinnamon anymore and the halloumi was completely forgotten so my sandwhich was half empty. Getting less and paying more doesn't feel nice. I find it strange since it wasn't even late in the day and the place was pretty empty, whereas when the restaurant was full I never actually got the wrong thing.

Today we had an extremely unpleasant experience with the staff here. They took our order incorrectly and were very rude to me and my 7 year old son afterwards. In the end they asked us to leave without giving us our order. I am very disappointed, we used to enjoy visiting this place. I have never experienced such rude behavior anywhere. I definitely don't recommend this place. We were at your place on March 26th around 4:00 p.m. and were served by two men

I probably have been to this restaurant 1000 times! Extremely price friendly; Very fast serving; Schawarma Makali sandwich is my all time favorite. The only downside of this place: Shawarma is so popular that it always already sell out around 7pm:) But I don’t mind to order Shish Tavuk cuss it’s also tastes nice😋

The owner is an honest person and he makes the food with heart. Nothing to complain about in terms of taste. Very authentic and delicious food. Only point deducted. Unfortunately, the köfte are warmed up in the microwave instead of freshly fried. Absolutely brilliant food for the money. The bag is particularly worth it, everyone leaves the store full and satisfied.

The price is really low and reasonable. But it’s a little bit oily. Many times shawerma finishes earlier that 9 pm. But in general recommended to vegetarian and felafel fans.

Used to be a pretty good place but I go there less than before. Lately they ramped up the prices a lot which is ok but the amount of food they put into a sandwich or a plate have significantly decreased. Ate a shawarma there yesterday which was 80% green salad and it's been like this since a while. Also the people are super grumpy. Two three years ago they were very nice. Not sure what happened. Sad to see a place change for the worse so much.

There are several similar restaurants in the area that are more worth it. the old man is very rude and disrespectful. This is the second time I've come and he acts the same with the customers. I strongly do not recommand this restaurant. Es gibt in der sector noch mehr ähnliche Restaurants wie in der Region. Der alte Mann ist sehr unpolitisch und respektlos.
