I have been receiving “Meals on Wheels” from the Rostock DRK for a few weeks now. A good decision!! The food offerings are simply great in terms of preparation, composition and versatility. Someone swings the wooden spoon and puts their heart and soul and solid technical skills into the meals. That's the impression! A big thank you and compliment to the Rostock DRK team "Food on Wheels" for this great service and the daily joyful anticipation that so many people in our city have of hearing the bell ring on their own apartment door when the friendly drivers hand over the delicious MENU. The location at the city harbor is certainly a plus, but basically it's nothing more than a cheap, pre-baked roll with brown iceberg lettuce and a Bismarck fillet on top. We ate it because we felt like it. I usually go to Warnemünde or Mark Graf Heide to get one, and it's worlds better and cheaper too!

Neuer Markt 17-18The food was very good, but... the cappuccino for €4.30 was incredibly watery. We complained about the first one, and promptly got a new one, but apart from the good milk foam, it wasn't any better, despite being made with "original Italian beans." What was much worse in this restaurant was the cleanliness. There were so many cobwebs, stretching nicely from lamp to lamp—or was that ceiling decoration, one wonders? 🫣🫣🫣
