Espanita in Frankfurt am Main

A great Spanish restaurant! Authentic, friendly, super tasty tapas, absolutely recommended.

Unfortunately, our visit to the Espanita restaurant in Frankfurt did not meet our expectations. Given the overwhelmingly positive reviews, we had hoped for more. The food was served exceptionally quickly, giving the impression that it was not freshly prepared. The taste was okay, but not outstanding. Considering the prices, we would have expected higher quality. The ambience was pleasant and the service was friendly, but this did not make up for the disappointment with the food. Overall, we don't find the price-performance ratio to be appropriate.

I don't understand where all the good reviews come from here. Portions are very small, price-performance ratio is not right. The taste of the dishes is ok, nothing special, in Spain it tastes completely different. Some of the service staff are very unfriendly. Tables are very close together, e.g. For example, between the bar counter and a table in the corridor to the toilet there is about 20 cm, and you can hardly get through it. The table reservation is only valid for 2 hours, after which you are literally rudely thrown out. Never again!

Good reviews brought us to eat here with friends, but it was a disappointment. The portions were too small for the price, the potatoes tasted different in Spain and were not crispy. My fish stew wasn't good either. The tables were too small and too close together. It wasn't a leisurely dinner but felt like a hasty check-in. After two hours we were rudely asked several times to leave the restaurant to free a table.

Super delicious food and even more great and warm staff, we had a great and very pleasant evening. Big compliments to the restaurant!

I had a spontaneous meal there with a friend. The food was extremely good and the tapas are like you would expect from Spain. Top!

Very expensive and little food paella 3 prawns 3 clams and 3 calamari and it costs 37 euros empty rice. frito mixto 17 euros and it has 3 peeled prawns 3 thin calamari and 3 pieces of fish and 3 small cipiriones very expensive and does not look good the food I do not recommend

We had high expectations of the restaurant and decided to dine here for a special occasion, ordering multiple courses and a variety of dishes. Unfortunately our expectations were not met. Food: The quality of the food was mixed. Some dishes didn't seem to be freshly prepared, but had already been prepared and then just warmed up - which was also noticeable in the taste. The shrimp in the paella was particularly disappointing, as it was sandy on the inside. The aioli sauce for the starter had an acceptable taste, but seemed more like a ready-made sauce. The portion sizes were noticeably small, which is something you'd expect in a high-end restaurant. Given the quality and size of the portions, we found the prices to be excessive. Service: The service seemed overwhelmed and stressed that evening, which unfortunately resulted in a rather unfriendly atmosphere. Our request to keep the plate was registered, but was subsequently forgotten by one person - who therefore had to continue eating without the plate, which spoiled the experience. The tables were very narrow, so the waitress often had to balance over our heads. In addition, it took an unpleasantly long time to be served and no one asked for more drinks, even though the first water bottle had long since been empty. Reservation and organization: Despite a reservation, we were assigned the last free table when we arrived without our name being checked. This gave the impression that reservations are not very important here. Overall, the experience was unfortunately disappointing and we would not voluntarily visit this restaurant again. The price-performance ratio is not justified for what is offered. Summary: Unfortunately, we will remember this evening as a rather chaotic experience that did not live up to the expectations of such a restaurant.

A true Spanish experience in Frankfurt. Tapas were nice. Paella looks good but one need to be two to order it🤨

We found it spontaneously and loved it so we stopped by again straight away.. With our 20 conference guests on Saturday evening.. Were in the city for four days on business and will definitely be back.

Espanita is a small, charming place with cute decorations and extremely delicious tapas! The food is fresh, authentic and incredibly tasty. Definitely a 'must-visit' for anyone looking for a special culinary experience. Absolute recommendation! 🙌

wir waren zum Abendessen da. Sonntag, proppenvoll. Die Bedienungen voll ausgelastet. Wir bestellen als Hauptgericht die schwarze Paella. Entweder hatte der Koch seinen schlechten Tag oder an den Fischen muss Mangel geherrscht haben. Geschmacklich nun ja. Es war nicht so der burner.

Update 8/21/24 The food was great today. The three of us had 6 different tapas. All very tasty. The dessert 'fried milk' was great. I found the Verdejo a bit flat, but still ok. Nice, lively atmosphere on the terrace... -------------------------------- 07/2020 Delicious Spanish. Nice bodega atmosphere. Avoid house wine. Grill and fish plates were good. The aijoli is super fresh and well infected with garlic. Nice service.

Authentic location with incredibly friendly staff and excellent Spanish food. Tapas, fish platter and paella were super tasty. We'll be back.

The food is very authentic and extremely good. We enjoyed it very much. If someone is in a hurry Eating, he won't have any fun here. The service is a bit slow until the order is placed, but the food comes very quickly. We'd love to come back.

Very tasty tapas and friendly staff... Felt like a short vacation in Spain.

We spontaneously ate at Espanitas because we don't know the area and were looking for a restaurant near our hotel. When we got there, we were immediately brought a high chair for our little daughter. Basically it was very child-friendly. There was also great understanding for food scraps falling down. The drinks were brought to us immediately and the tapas arrived less than 10 minutes later. They were super tasty. A great experience, would love to do it again!

We were there in a group of 7 people and sat outside. I ordered a fish and seafood platter. For the price of €25 I really can't complain and it was delicious too! I find the drinks slightly overpriced and also the bowl of aioli with some bread. For me it's just a must in a Spanish restaurant! The waiter was very friendly and attentive.

I would like to talk about the food but unfortunately I didn't have the chance to try it. I instead got the chance to experience their complete lack of organisation, professionalism and attention towards their clients. I booked a table online only to get the reservation cancelled one hour before the dinner (on a Friday evening for six people). When I called to understand why, they told me "outside it's cold and we only have 10 tables inside".

Excellent tapas and one of my favorites in Frankfurt! Despite the small place, which can be a bit cramped, that's exactly what makes the atmosphere incredible and unique. The tapas are consistently delicious and lovingly prepared. I highly recommend this place if you want to enjoy authentic Spanish cuisine in a cozy setting.

Very simple, not very spicy or seasoned dishes and extremely oily (We had paela). Attentive staff. It's not worth it.

The ambience is very authentic and beautiful. You feel very comfortable. Unfortunately, we had to wait 30 minutes before we could place our order and we were placed in the middle of the waiters' "walking path", even though there were obviously still many tables available. The drinks came after half of the tapas had been served and the bread came last. The quality of the food was good, but in my opinion the portions were far too small for the price. But there was also a lot going on and I think the team was understaffed...

It was such a cozy, lovely restaurant. The tapas were very good. So far it's the best Spanish restaurant in ffm. I would suggest if they get better bread as it was not tasty. Besides that's the service was great, so kind. And their desserts was also delicious.

Arrivati in questo ristorante dopo aver prenotato qualche giorno prima, invogliati dal fatto che la guida Michelin lo consigliava, siamo rimasti subito sorpresi per le ridotte dimensioni del locale e la quantità di tavolini ivi stipati. Il simpatico cameriere ci ha fatto sedere vicino alla porta di ingresso che, nonostante il bussolotto, faceva entrare aria gelida ad ogni ingresso di avventori. Abbiamo ordinato degli antipasti, non eccezionali e che avevano poco a che fare con gli stessi consumati in Spagna, e una paella di pesce e una di carne che non ci hanno soddisfatto. La crema catalana era invece buona. Non mi sento proprio di consigliare questo locale e mi stupisco delle recensioni lette qui su TripAdvisor.

Ein sehr authentischer Lokal. Hervorragende Küche, Tapas wie in Spanien, guter Wein, Top Service. Hatten Aioli, Frittierte Satdellen, Pimentos, Gambas, Tortilla, Hühnchen, Patatas bravas. Auch der Rioja und Café Gut. Top Empfehlung in Sachsenhausen.

Wir waren mit vier Personen im Espanita, und haben die Karte rauf und runter bestellt. Alle Tapas, Hauptgerichte und auch die Getränke waren von ganz hervorragendem Geschmack, schöner Optik und hoher Qualität. Ganz klare Weiterempfehlung.

Sehr große Auswahl an leckeren Tapas und super Service. Glutenfreies Essen war gar kein Problem, da alle Servicekräfte sehr gut informiert waren und beim Zubereiten und Servieren extra darauf geachtet wurde, eine Kontamination zu vermeiden.

A lovely small spanish restaurant for Tapas. The terrace is packed with tables. It is difficult to not hear the neighbouring tables. The photo was fine with an average quality. The service was friendly and welcoming. We tried few things of which the mussels were sandy and the croquettes were a somehow cold and uncooked.

Trotz hoher Besucherzahl, war das Essen hervorragend , keine langen Wartezeiten,Tip top und freundlicher Service...Hut ab, 5 Sterne Deluxe..waren wieder sehr zufrieden 😁

Die Paella war ok, mehr aber auch nicht. Dafür waren knapp 38€ (für 2 Personen) schon relativ teuer. Der Gipfel aber war, dass der Kellner bei der Bestellung fragte: 'Mögen Sie Knoblauch?' Als wir dies bejahten, brachte er uns einen Korb mit Baguette-Scheiben und eine Schale mit Knoblauch-Mayonnaise. Soweit, so gut. Aber beim Bezahlen mussten wir feststellen, dass uns dieser 'Service' mit 4,50€ extra berechnet wurde, was in meinen Augen eine Frechheit ist! Naja, mehr bezahlt als vorher ausgerechnet haben wir trotzdem nicht, es gab halt 0€ Trinkgeld ...

Essen eher durchschnittlich, dafür schon ziemlich teuer. Das gereichte Brot mit Aioli ist ein billigstes Aufback-Baguette aus dem Discounter und kostet extra. Service war jedoch sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Comida española casera de verdad. Hasta ahora, el mejor restaurante español que he probado en Alemania. Una sangría riquísima y cerveza estrella (qué más se puede pedir) Una buena opción para sentirte como en casa si vives en Frankfurt!

Bestes Spanisches Restaurant in ganz Frankfurt

Es war einfach schön, kleine gemütliche Terrasse, super freundliche Bedienung und sehr leckere Tapas. Sehr original spanisch. Und was uns besonders gefreut hat: es gab auch Tinto de Verano. Für eine schönen, ungezwungenen Abend mit leckerem Essen einfach zu empfehlen.

Amazing ambiance in a beautifully decorated restaurant. The location is very quiet and nice, definitely adds to the experience. The highlight of the restaurant is definitely the food, which you have to pair with their sangria. Tapas were delicious and I only wanted to eat more and more. Perfect for anyone wanting Mediterranean food.

Sehr gutes Preis-Genuss-Verhältnis, eine gute Auswahl an Tapas-Klassikern die wirklich sehr gut zubereitet sind und frisch schmecken. Paella am besten vorbestellen sonst muss man logischerweise warten. Getränkepreise für Frankfurter Verhältnisse sogar günstig. Das Personal ist unglaublich flott, freundlich und bringt eine persönliche Note ein. Bin jedes Mal wieder begeistert.

Man kann schön außen sitzen. Der Service ist nett, kennt sich aber mit dem Essen nicht so gut aus. Das Essen selbst ist ok, aber keine Geschmacksexplosion. Einfach und soweit gut würde ich sagen. Parken ist schwierig, da es eine Wohngegend ist.

Endlich wieder frische Tortilla und Albondigas handgemacht. Ein kleines Lokal für den Abend, an dem man selber nicht kochen möchte. In der Regel voll, insbesondere der Außenbereich. Fröhliche Bedienung.

Relativ kleines Lokal. Auf Grund der Räumlichkeiten ist eine Reservierung empfehlenswert. Der Servic ist freundlich und die Speisen gute Mittelklasse. Das Angbot gleicht dem des Restaurants Andalucia in Berlin. Gute Tapas, freundliche Atmosphäre.

Als je echt Spaans wil eten en tapas lekker vindt dan kan je hier je hart ophalen. We hebben ons laten verrassen met een willekeurige selectie van tapas. De sfeer en de bereidingen van de tapas laten je denken dat je in een Spaans restaurant zit ergens in een gezellig Spaans dorpje. Maar niets is minder waar, je vind dit in Frankfurt. De prijs is perfect en de kwaliteit is super. Echte aanrader!!

Il locale è molto carino e accogliente, il cibo di qualità è il proprietario Remus molto amichevole e alla mano. Di sicuro ritornerei da lui a mangiare un ottimo cibo spagnolo 😊

Leckere Vorspeisenvariation und herzlicher Service. Zentrale Lage ist toll, dadurch leider parktechnisch etwas schwierig. Für Lust auf spanisches Essen genau richtig, für besondere (größere) Anlässe eher ungeeignet. Das Ambiente liegt leider unter dem des Essens.

Hemos estado solo 4 adultos y 2 niños. Todos los platos con mucha diferencia hasta el punto que el mío ni ha venido, filete de pollo empanado con patatas, dificultad extrema. No lo recomiendo para nada. La camarera solo me decía que encima me ha atendido sin corresponderle la mesa. Después de media hora sin ser atendidos. No volveremos
