Unfortunately, it wasn't as great as it had been a few years ago. The service was friendly and polite. However, we waited over 45 minutes just for the appetizers. Some of them were missing, but they were brought immediately after we pointed it out. The main courses were okay, but nothing special. And for the three of us (including a toddler), we paid almost €100.

The evening buffet was delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection and perfectly seasoned. The quality of the food has improved significantly in recent years. The staff is very friendly and attentive.

Usually really good, but today was a disaster. Brunch is usually great and varied, and the prices are really fair. The service is staffed by many foreign workers, but they're always polite and attentive. Normally… Today it was completely overcrowded, loud, and stressful. With about 60-80 guests, there were only two servers on site. The table was right next to a fireplace, which was blazing at about 50 degrees Celsius (122 degrees Fahrenheit), and it was unbearable. I waited about 15 minutes just to be served and order drinks. The coffee arrived lukewarm, there were no spoons, and the glasses were dirty. The "show chef" (who prepares eggs upon request) licked his fingers in front of the guests; he clearly had no formal training in the food service industry. There were food scraps stuck to the cutlery. Either two colleagues unexpectedly didn't show up for work this morning, they can't find qualified staff anymore, or they've completely taken on too much. Today was a complete disaster.

Unfortunately, I can't comment on the food. We were hoping to have a nice evening there. Things didn't go as planned because we hadn't checked online (according to the waitstaff) that only a buffet is offered on Fridays and Saturdays. The buffet wasn't for us; we didn't want to eat our way through the entire menu. There was no à la carte option, which is common in some other restaurants. After all, everything is cooked in the kitchen anyway.

We ate from the BBQ buffet; the grilled meat was very tough. The waitress took a very long time for drinks, and we had to get our own cutlery.

The food, both on regular à la carte evenings and on Día de los Muertos (buffet), is delicious. The service is always very friendly, especially the young gentleman. I particularly like the cozy Mexican decor, which creates a lovely atmosphere. However, I do have one major criticism. It's a real deterrent for us from coming more often. It's about the drink selection. The mostly Mexican soft drinks are extremely sweet for European tastes. There are also a lot of cocktails, which aren't to everyone's liking. And the only beer available is a small Mexican bottled beer (which is only Mexican in name). I'm really missing a local draft beer. There are so many great Saxon beers, like Feldschlösschen, Freiberger, or Meissner—I'm not even mentioning Radeberger ;-). I also miss having a non-alcoholic bottled beer to go with it. Sparkling wine (perhaps as a starter for a toast) isn't something you can just order; you have to request it in advance. When I inquired, I was told that it doesn't fit the Mexican theme. You have such a beautiful Mexican interior. I don't think that adding local beers to the menu would detract from the Mexican feel. The food menu can be fantastic, but you start with the drinks. And a limited selection that doesn't suit everyone's taste unfortunately diminishes the overall experience right from the start.

Great buffet, fantastic menu (food, drinks, etc.), justifies the slightly higher price. It was a bit noisy at times, but that's normal for buffet meals...

We were greeted very warmly, kindly, and charmingly in Saxon dialect and shown to a table in a niche on the gallery. Unfortunately, the wicker chairs there are so large that the whole row has to get up every time someone in the back wants to get something new from the buffet. The food on the buffet looked fresh and tasted good, but unfortunately, the best items were always gone quickly, and it took a while to replenish them—this was especially true for the churros: we waited three-quarters of an hour for them, but it was worth it. The ambiance was decorated with a Halloween theme and fit very well with Día de los Muertos.

Dear Espitas team, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you again for a few relaxing and thoroughly well-cared-for hours on my birthday. As the birthday "child," I was able to sit back, chat with my guests, and not have to worry about whether everyone had drinks or something to eat. I highly recommend the BBQ brunch on Sundays! From the friendly service to the extensive buffet and the relaxed atmosphere, it simply gets 5 STARS. Keep up the good work, we'll definitely be back.

Absolutely fantastic! The food is lovingly prepared and tastes fantastic. The food is well-seasoned, and the salad dressing is delicious. I recommend the tacos, and the appetizer platter for two is very substantial. The server was very friendly, and the restaurant is beautifully and colorfully decorated. So we were passing through and looking for breakfast. Espitas was recommended to us. The service was okay, but the waitress was grumpy and probably didn't want to deal with tourists. The food was so-so... the squid rings were pretty tough... the spare ribs were edible but pretty dry. The chips tasted like edible paper. The scrambled eggs were too salty for my taste. The sausages and bacon were good. Drinks were good. The restrooms were great too. €20 for brunch is fine, I think. 👍

The Nachos is worth buying & tasty. The tacos is bland and lacks flavour , tomatoes etc all chopped to chunky. I would recommend they amend their taco fillings. The cocktails are yummy though. I will go again for the Nachos and cocktails only. Service was friendly and kind 🙂 Atmosphere was quiet, creative decorating. Marketing definitely heading in the right direction🙂.

I reserved a table I didn't like and was given a new one right away. The service was top-notch! The courtesy and friendliness of the waiters is unbeatable! The food was absolutely delicious. We waited half an hour, it was fantastic!

We sat outside; it wasn't comfortable inside, and the kids' corner made it very loud. The waiter, Jan, was great! The buffet food wasn't bad, but the fish was constantly empty, and €27.90 per person is too expensive.

My two children and I were there today for the World Children's Day brunch. It was delicious, with a wide selection. The kids ate for free, along with a drink and a gift. Adults paid €19.90 for the brunch. A fair deal.

The food was delicious; we did have to wait a bit, even though it wasn't busy. But that was okay. My son almost broke his tooth with dessert (a brownie with ice cream) because there was a stone or something in it. Hence the star deduction; that shouldn't happen. The staff was friendly, and the place was beautifully decorated. Our daughter was given a coloring mask to help pass the time.

Despite being a franchise, the food here is good. Many dishes are excellent. The BBQ brunch is a highlight, with a considerable selection of hot dishes. The service is also friendly. On Sunday, it was almost full. I was particularly impressed by the selection of dips and sauces. However, I have to say that some of the BBQ dishes lacked the refinement needed to earn a 5-star rating. For example, the chili was rather bland, and the pork shoulder was a bit dry. All in all, a very nice BBQ brunch that invites you to linger; we would definitely come back again in the future.

The waitress, Sandra, was very friendly and attentive, but not in the least bit pushy. I really appreciate that—thank you! It should go without saying that you don't usually "bother" the price you pay for brunch. That's not the point, and when I see prices of around €40 in other restaurants, I still find it affordable and completely justified here. We'd love to come back!

After the main course, there was a bit of a wait before we could order dessert. We also had to wait longer for this one. Everything was fine, we had time. Tuesday was Taco Day with the app, it worked. The tacos were delicious, well-filled, and spicy. A clear recommendation. The dessert for two was sufficient, very tasty, and beautifully presented. Two refreshing towels would have been useful afterward. Two small plates and two napkins would have made this even better. We say: muchas gracias!

We were here for a Sunday brunch with 18 people for our birthday. We had pre-ordered accordingly. We received a very warm welcome and were seated right away. The brunch offered a wide selection throughout, and there was also a stand where fried eggs were prepared in various ways. The table service was excellent. Drink requests were fulfilled promptly, and the plates were always cleared in between meals. We sat in a private room facing the street, which had the advantage of windows and fresh air. However, we NEVER felt like no one was taking care of us. We would definitely come back.

We tried the grill buffet today; there was plenty of choice and it was delicious. We had a vegetarian with us. Yes, there was a vegetarian menu, and everything was labeled. However, the price for the buffet in this case is a bit high, in my opinion.

Great, we only ordered it because the wife was hungry... ^^ Called Espitas. The nice employee apologized profusely, which is to be expected these days, but I was supposed to clarify the refund with Uber Eats, which only offered a refund for the baked potato. It worked...

We were there two years ago. It took considerably longer then. This time, everything was perfect. The service was friendly and the food delicious.

I've been going there for years, and the spare ribs are really good and delicious. We had made a reservation as usual, and when we got there, we found out that they only serve a grill buffet on Friday and Saturday nights, and have done so for the past two years. What's that all about? Instead of fresh spare ribs, they offer something warm? Definitely not. Truly disappointing from the manager. The regular à la carte menu is really great and highly recommended.

Wow!!! I've rarely eaten such good food! I'm absolutely thrilled with (the waiter?) Jan; he's such a polite and approachable person; you don't often experience that in a restaurant! The drinks are great, and I can only say again that the food was absolutely delicious; it deserves 6 stars! For the price, we'll happily return regularly, and it's almost certainly going to be our favorite place!

Very friendly staff. Using the Espitas app, I only paid €10 for tacos on Taco Tuesday instead of €20. You do have to register, but it's easy via Google, and there's Wi-Fi, too. There's plenty of seating in the restaurant. The food was delicious – for those who dare and want to try insects, they even have grilled grasshoppers 😄

The food was good. The ambiance was poor. It desperately needed a renovation; it was too dark and the air was very stuffy. The rickety elevator also needed a complete overhaul.

We went there for the buffet. The price for adults is quite high, but the price for a child is unusually low. At first, it took a while for us to order drinks or get cutlery. It's helpful that you can order drinks online via QR code, and they arrive very quickly. The service was very friendly, though, and we would have happily tipped if it had been possible with the card. The food was delicious and well-signposted. I absolutely don't understand the review that the place is "in dire need of renovation." The tables have a worn look, but that's perfectly fine in my opinion. Some people walk around wearing that style, and it bothers me a bit :-)

I ordered Cheesy Nachos Completamente via UberEats on July 4, 2025. It arrived within 20 minutes of ordering. So, it can't be the delivery service's fault that it arrived cold and tasted absolutely nothing. The nachos were too salty, soggy under the guacamole, and the cheese from the topping was cold and hard. The chicken strips, on the other hand, were undercooked. All in all, a very unpleasant experience. Never again.

First of all, the staff were super friendly and always had a friendly remark. I love them. The food was delicious and everything was fresh. It's just a shame there wasn't enough room for more. The place was clean, so there was nothing to complain about. We'll be back.

The waiters were all attentive and very friendly. We'll definitely be back. One small drawback (more for the staff than for us): tips are only accepted in cash. The atmosphere is OK, very Mexican, and the food tastes OK. This is my fourth time here, but it should be my last time. The grilled dish for two has increased from €29.9 5 years ago to €57.9 now. Regardless of the taste, I definitely don't recommend it at this price!

The food tastes good and the service is friendly. In general, I find the prices for the dishes, especially the appetizers, quite steep... and everything costs extra. Example: A small portion of rice costs extra. Incidentally, this portion of rice is regularly included with a main course at other comparable Mexican restaurants in this price range. In addition to the five thin mozzarella sticks for €7.50, a dip is offered for an extra €1.50. That brings the price up to €9. For what they offer: no thanks. I find the price for a 0.5-liter carafe of water outrageous. Is this tap water with a hint of carbonation from the SodaStream? That would also explain why they serve a carafe instead of an original bottle. For almost €5, that's definitely not acceptable.

I've been here for dinner several times and have been completely satisfied every time. I particularly remember a business dinner where the ambiance and quality of the food were extremely well received by all the guests. Yesterday, I unexpectedly tried the buffet, as I hadn't known one was offered. I have to say, I was impressed by the variety of the buffet. From fish to meat to vegetarian dishes, there really is something for every taste. Unfortunately, the selection is so extensive that you can't try everything. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very cozy, and the service is absolutely excellent – ​​attentive, friendly, and fast. I've always felt well looked after there and plan to return often in the future. I hope the quality of the food remains as high.

There's Mexican cuisine here. It was new for us and everything was tasty. Since the weather was nice, we used the beer garden. Since it is right on a main road, the street noise was surprisingly subdued. But we will remember this address.

Hello, We were at Espitas last night and were very impressed. Besides the fact that the food was delicious, we would like to once again praise and highlight the friendliness of the staff. We have rarely met such a friendly and, above all, humorous person as Jan, and he will remain in our fondest memories. :-)

The price of €28 for the buffet was definitely too high for the average food; with drinks, the price quickly reached €40 per person. The German-brewed ALE beer with a Mexican name tasted good. The service was also friendly, and the ambiance was appropriate. There's no on-site parking. We've been to another Mexican restaurant before, and the food was very tasty there, but unfortunately, we couldn't have that experience here.

The food portions were extremely small. My friend and I ordered one rib for 16 euros and two ribs for 28 euros, and at this price, any reasonable person should expect the latter to be twice as large as the former. But in fact, the two ribs were very small, even smaller than the one. The bowl of rice was also very small. We spent about 35 euros per person and left hungry. A terrible experience.

We returned after a long absence and were disappointed. There were quite long waits to order or even receive our food. Not all tables were occupied. The food was too bland for our taste and therefore nothing special. Only our wonderful and funny waiter saved the evening.

The food is okay, but nothing outstanding and a bit expensive for the price, especially with vegetarian dishes. It is not possible to react flexibly to special requests from customers because the dishes are already completely pre-cooked - I would expect more at almost 20 euros per dish. The salad that comes with it isn't even dressed with any sauce, so there are bits of green leaves on the plate. I can't recommend it, even if the service tries to cover up the obvious.

Some of the food was cold, enchiladas were very small compared to before and had a weak taste. Cheesy nachos for over 7 euros are very bland. Beer was warm... but very nice atmosphere. But we won't be coming back.

2017: Unfortunately, once again a disappointment. The meat served was low quality frozen meat, probably pre-cooked and warmed on site. That would explain why, in a house that should have a routine with steaks, well-done is initially served instead of medium-rare as ordered. On the second attempt, the steak was similar to medium-rare, but had a rind instead of the fat edge. At a price of over €20 this is unacceptable. The rescue star goes to the service: The service trainees cannot do anything about the specified sales dialogues about the “house cocktail”. They really put a lot of effort into their guests and do their best to make up for the extremely poor kitchen - but that's not possible here. Update 03/2025: As has been the case for 16 years, Convinient Food* at a completely inflated price** accompanied by perfect service***. *The ridiculously small chimichangas taste like Asian spring rolls. Nothing is freshly prepared there. Or the chef... whatever. ** 2 pieces that no one would be even remotely full of, for just under €20 - really presumptuous. Anywhere else this would be an appetizer. *** It's always great how the employees at the table go out of their way to look after the guests - at least the shop has a good hand when it comes to service. But, as before, that is the only positive thing.
