I had no idea how delicious savory crepes could taste. We celebrated our Christmas party there and had a lovely evening at Engelbät. I only knew crepes as a sweet treat from Christmas markets and the like, and this was my first time trying crepes with meat sauce. What can I say? DELICIOUS 🤤. Everyone had a different crepe, they all looked incredibly delicious, and everyone loved them. The location is beautifully quaint and cozy, and the service was very attentive.

I was there for the first time a few days ago. So I'm only describing my one-time visit (a snapshot). Generally, three stars represent the standard for me. You get more if it's better and less if it's worse. Service was very kind and friendly. Better than the standard, but nothing more. So, 4/5. The atmosphere was nice. We sat outside on the "sidewalk." Maybe I'm getting too old now, but it bothers me when you sit on a slope. After a while, my butt hurt on the chair. A cushion might have helped. It's nothing dramatic, but I can't give it more than three stars. The food was very tasty and came quickly! The presentation is simple. It's just a crepe on a plate. I don't need any garnish. But: in retrospect, I have a hard time with the prices. A crepe with a ladle of meat sauce for 15 euros. You can only understand that if you know the background. I'm sure there are people who calculate that for that money, you can get two large pizzas somewhere else that would feed three people. 3/5 I would come again if I were nearby, but I wouldn't make a special trip.

Had Crepes Peter. It actually tasted quite good and was sufficient. But definitely not justified for the price, especially since the chicken wasn't freshly fried, but pre-packaged and warmed up. So not very high quality. Visually it's not particularly well presented for the price.

Um recent discovery for me and I have to say that in my opinion they have the best crepes in the city. Above all, I highlight the magnificent variety: sweet, savory, vegetarian, etc. The guys are very friendly and the atmosphere is very calm, great for having a chat with your friend. Highly recommended!

I've enjoyed going to Engelbät for about 25 years. Favorite crepe is the Kerstin, often as a spicy version with sambal. Nice crowd, great service and cozy atmosphere.

We had a date that ultimately took us from Wuppertal to Cologne to the café, the love didn't last. I'll be visiting the café more often now. It was a fantastic atmosphere there & the crepes were perfect

Great, it's been a long time since I've been to Cologne and of course I went straight to Engelbät. Delicious and cozy as always.

You can eat both rice-based crepes and dessert-based crepes. The texture of the crepe dough can be changed depending on the purpose, which makes it very delicious. Dessert was a chewy crepe.

Crépes clogged with ingredients, taste isn't that good, unfortunately not our thing!

I can still remember the times before Corona & Co., when most of the delicious crepes were offered for less than 10 euros. The salads were also more lavish 😔 Now even some crepe creations have been removed from the menu without replacement 😲 The prices have now leveled off at the same level as in a normal restaurant. A meal with drinks and possibly dessert (sweet crepe) costs around 30 euros for 1 person. I used to pay around 15.00. Price increase of around 100 percent makes this bistro no longer as attractive as it used to be and is no longer an insider tip, so to speak👎🏻😒 It's a real shame 😞

Food trends come and go, Engelbät crepes remain. Good “trail mix” for decades. Prices are no longer quite high, but quality is reliable and portions are decent. Everyone will find something suitable on the large map.

The moment we entered we felt super cozy and welcome. The service was really friendly and sweet. The food selection, eventhough just crêpe sounds a little lackluster, was anything but, a huge selection from both savery and sweet crêpe to choose from, all very well priced and delicious. The music was fun and right up our alley. The hot chocolate I got was delicious as well, my friend got a banana cherry drink I had never heard of, definitely wanna try that next. We paid a little under 30€ for three people, we all had a drink each and a crêpe which was delivered quick. I'm so pleasantly surprised and pleased with my visit here that I'm considering going again today. Thank you!✨💚

At a late hour we quickly stopped by Crepe to go and ordered 3 crepes to take away from the friendly service staff. 2 sweet ones, 1x Arnold and 1x Jutta and a savory one, 1x Vegan Ava. The waiting time was reasonable. I was offered a drink to tide me over and the place at the bar had a rustic, nice touch. Crepes were well packaged and cutlery and napkins were also included. Since today's three tasted good, I would like to come back and try out the savory crepes.

So unfassbar leckere Crêpes. Das Ambiente ist romantisch, verspielt, gemütlich, Retro. Es gibt ein paar Meter weiter ein Parkhaus. Aber auch Parkplätze an der Straße. Leckere selbstgemachte Eistees und Limos. Ich genieße es da zu sein.

Guter Service, Ambiente war mir persönlich zu viel,das Essen war gut hat uns allen geschmeckt war aber nicht so ganz meins ...

Seit 20+ Jahren Stammkunde. Besten Crêpes die ich kenne werden hier serviert. Mein Favorite: Kerstin mit „etwas weniger“ Spinat und dafür mehr Creme Fraiche!!

Sehr leckeres Essen und preislich super. Bedienung hat einmal etwas geträumt aber dann waren sie sehr aufmerksam und immer sehr nett.

Einfach bezaubernd urig! Tolle Crêpes und nettes Personal! Es geht meist recht zügig - nur auf die Chance weitere Getränke zu bestellen muss man warten wenn man schon gegessen hat ;-) sonst rundum gelungener laden mitten in der stadt!

Sehr sehr netter laden mit einer wirklich großen Auswahl. Die Crêpes waren sehr lecker und preislich vollkommen angemessen. Meine Begleitung hatte einen Crêpe ohne Oliven bestellt und dafür wurden uns 1,50€ weniger berechnet was wie ich finde überhaupt nicht nötig gewesen wäre aber wirklich super lieb war und mir sehr positiv aufgefallen ist 🫶🏼

Eine urige Kneipe? Eine Creperie? Ach das Engelbät - einfach ein Wohlfühlort. Egal ob süße oder herzhafte Crepes, egal ob für ein Kölsch oder ein frisch gezapftes Leffe. Egal ob mittags als Snack oder Abends als Treffpunkt mit seinen Liebsten. Hier wird man immer sowohl kulinarisch, als auch musikalisch von einem herzlichen Personal bestens bedient. Für mich als Kölner einer der besten Läden der ganzen Stadt!

Ich kenne das Engelbät schon seit 2005 und es ist immer wieder ein Besuch wert. Das Essen ist mega lecker und für alle ist etwas dabei, sogar für Veganer. Absolute Empfehlung. Wer da noch nicht war, hat kulinarisch noch eine Lücke in seinem Leben :-)

Engelbät ist Kult. Ich habe hier schon mehrmals gegessen. Sowohl für Drinks, als auch für ein nices Essen ein guter Ort. Eignet sich als Stammkneipe. Die Bedienung ist nett und aufmerksam. Die Auswahl an Crêpes ist riesig und sättigend, je nachdem was man bestellt. Absolute Empfehlung!

Ich freue mich jedesmal über das leckere Essen und einen guten Aperol

Leckeres Essen zu fairen Preisen. Das ist die kurze Zusammenfassung zu unserem Abendessen bei Engelbät. Die Gerichte haben Vornamen, was in meinen Augen dazu geführt hat, dass ich etwas bestellt habe, was normalerweise nicht in meinem Fokus lag. Das Essen kam und ich bereute nichts. Gerade war fantastisch. Auch die anderen 6 Esser waren sehr zufrieden. Durch die teilweise sehr niedrigen Preise, waren die Hälfte der Gäste auch bereit eine zweite Portion oder ein Dessert zu bestellen. Trotzdem hat es alles in allem und inklusive Getränke nicht einmal 20 Euro pro Person gekostet. Wir kommen ganz sicher nochmal wieder.

Super Crepes. Die besten die ich jemals gegessen habe. Jedoch hat mir beim Ratatouille Crepe die Ratte gefehlt, hätte auf jeden Fall die Geschmacksintensität verbessert.

Salad was basic, the same flavorless tomatoes and cucumbers classic of Germany plus some corn, olives and few slices of onions. Crepe was essentially an overfull pouch Bolognese sauce.

Das Engelbät - für mich einer Kölner Institution! Seit Ewigkeiten, also seit 1990, gibt es die stimmungsvolle Crêperie und Kneipe schon. Neben gut gezapftem frischen Kölsch gibt es hier viele erwähenswerte Dinge: natürlich die Vielzahl von wunderbaren Crêpes, das wirklich freundliche und nette Personal oder die wunderbare Auswahl an Whiskeys und Malts. Besonders interessant fand ich mal den Bierhefe-Brand, der aber leider von der Karte verschwunden ist. Auch wurde hier Jahrzehnte gepflegt Karneval gefeiert. Aber dies wird es wohl bis auf weiteres nicht mehr geben. Auf der Website steht, dass die Entwicklungen im Veedel dazu leider keinen Raum mehr lassen. Schade, aber ich kann es nachvollziehen. Was ich sehr lobenswert finde ist, dass das Engelbät bei "Edelgard schützt" mit macht. Eine Kneipe zum Wohlfühlen, lecker Essen und Trinken und Zeit zu verbringen. Ich komme immer wieder gerne hierhin!

Ein muss für jeden neu Kölner und eine Institution für alle anderen. Klein aber fein mit ganz viel Charme. Reservieren erbeten. Portionen top und genau richtig.

Es wurde mir als Pfannkuchenhaus vorgestellt. Schnell dachte ich an ein Pfannkuchenhaus aus den Niederlanden, jedoch wurde ich sehr positiv überrascht. Auf der Karte sollte für jeden Geschmack was dabei sein. Die Pfannkuchen sind wie eine Calzone gepackt, reichlich und lecker gefüllt. Ich war begeistert. Definitiv einen Besuch wert 👍🏼

Ich war gestern im Engelbärt und habe mir einen Crêpe mit Nutella und Banane gegönnt. Der Crêpe war so lecker, dass ich fast vergessen habe, wie kalt und grau es draußen war. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, und die Atmosphäre war gemütlich und entspannt. Ich habe mich gefühlt wie in einem kleinen Paradies inmitten der Großstadt. Das einzige Problem war, dass ich danach so satt war, dass ich kaum noch laufen konnte. Aber das war es wert! Ich kann das Engelbärt nur empfehlen, wenn ihr Lust auf süße oder herzhafte Crêpes habt. Aber bringt genug Hunger mit! 😉
