A truly lovely restaurant, with extremely attentive and friendly service and delicious, plentiful food. Always worth a visit!

The menu is extensive and somewhat meat-heavy. It's always busy, especially on weekends. It's not cheap; for three people, it can easily cost €100 if everyone wants to eat their fill.

Location more for conservative, retired, local people who like overcooked vegetables and less fresh salad. Not for our internal group (USA, Kanada) with age under 60.

Upon entering, I was immediately impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and the first-class cuisine. Every course was a delight and perfectly prepared. I would especially like to highlight the waitress Lena, who shone with her exceptional hospitality and professionalism. Lena's friendly manner, attentiveness, and commitment made the evening very special. She ensured that we felt completely at home and enjoyed every moment. I highly recommend the "Elisenbrunnen" restaurant and Lena in particular, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. -- I hope this works for you!

For an event, we had to visit this restaurant twice in the same day: the atmosphere was pleasant, the terrace overlooked the greenery. Despite the high prices, the food was subpar: Nuremberg sausages with sauerkraut – the worst cabbage I've ever been served: overcooked, dark brown, topped with a sauce that tasted like Printen (?). Mashed potatoes were made of powder. Red cabbage was also overcooked. Even worse in the evening: We ordered two nachos and a bottle of wine. The wine was okay, but the nachos were served on one plate. I don't even eat from the same plate with friends! There were no napkins or anything else to clean your fingers with. I wouldn't recommend it.

We went to the restaurant for breakfast. The service was very friendly and they took good care of us (asking if we were missing anything, if we wanted anything else, etc.). Our food arrived quickly and everything tasted good. The portion size was perfect for us. We were there on a Saturday in early August and had made a reservation. The prices are reasonable.

I had a delicious lunch here during my visit to Aachen. It's a great, central location. The menu is extensive, with something for everyone (including vegetarian and vegan). I have a food allergy, and they handled it very professionally. Highly recommended!

I had a very good, authentic Wiener Schnitzel with no-nonsense potato salad here. I wish I could find such quality in my own city... My companion also enjoyed her meal. Attentive, unobtrusive service. Very nice, relaxed atmosphere! Beautiful outdoor terrace.

Friendly staff and great food/wine for dinner made my friends and me return the other day for coffee and cakes.

I spontaneously took a seat on the terrace, where three waiters bustled around me – none of them was willing to bring a menu. When I asked, I was told, "A colleague will be right there." Are they officials or waiters? Finally, I ordered the Wiener Schnitzel – the "Wiener Garnish" consisted of a lemon wedge (!) and a caper wrapped in an anchovy, placed on grated carrots – I've seen it differently. On the other hand, the veal schnitzel was of the highest quality, and the potato and cucumber salad was also decent.

We visited the place twice during our visit to Aachen. Lovely place with great food and drinks, and very friendly and welcoming staff.

We made a reservation online in advance for a group of 15 people. Everything worked out perfectly, and we had a wonderful evening with good food and drinks. The price-performance ratio is appropriate, considering the great location, right next to Elisenpark, the pleasant ambiance, and the good food. We would love to come back.

Didn’t even get served, me and my mum only wanted coffee & cake. The man at the bar told us to take a seat someone would be over shortly, but after over 20mins we were still waiting, the waiter went to everyone else but completely blanked us. So we left & ate somewhere else.

The food is very good, the dishes are succulent, but the service is mediocre and slow, and the noise is unbearable in this restaurant. The best thing about summer is the terrace.

A mouse zoo in a beautiful setting. The various couches in the Elisenbrunnen restaurant are probably where the cute rodents nest and sleep. We saw some of the cute creatures running around the restaurant, looking happy and cheerful. When we asked the friendly waitress about it, she simply said, "They're not doing anything to it, we're right next to the park." The food and drinks were always delicious, and the service was always friendly and quick, but to consider mice a normal occurrence in a restaurant like this?

We were made to wait a full hour for our main dishes after we finishing our starters. Awful experience. There was a second when I almost starved to death I was wondering if my beef was still on the field. The dishes are too salty. I could hardly taste anything but saltiness in both dishes we ordered. The environment is great. Comfortable seats and lovely light.

We had to wait a very long time for the beer we ordered right away. Then they brought the food, but didn't bring the cutlery.

The food was very tasty, with a very good and refreshing Sauvignon Blanc wine spritzer. Prices are higher than elsewhere, but not only does it offer a great view of the Elisengarten garden behind the Elisenbrunnen fountain, but it also offers particularly good, home-style food: The "Wiener Schnitzel" is made from veal – not "Wiener-style" pork. That's why it costs €28.90, not just €10 or so. Recommended for special occasions or for those with too much money.

Attractive interior and very friendly service. A pleasant atmosphere both inside and on the terrace, overlooking the park.

We made reservations well in advance for 14 people after our civil wedding. We waited over 60 minutes for our food. It was spaced out so that the first people had already finished eating by the time the next people got theirs. My father was the last to get his steak, when everyone else was already full. It's not what you'd expect, and it was a very frustrating experience for us. The waiter was very nice and helpful, even bringing me a vase for the bridal bouquet. The problem was probably in the kitchen. The rating has been revised upwards after the owner sent a very kind reply to my email. Thank you very much!

Super friendly service, and the drinks are absolutely fantastic! The food is rather average, but totally fine for the price. What really scared me on my last visit was that my friend and I saw a fully grown cockroach. After sitting there for a while, you naturally start to worry about accidentally bringing the creatures home with you. We always loved eating there, but after this experience, we'll have to cross this restaurant off our list of options. What a shame!

Extremely slow food... "New menu" is the excuse... Ordered food with a child and waited over an hour for the kids' pasta. Meanwhile, all the seniors (>4 tables) who arrived after us and ordered after us were served their food before us. My potato was already cold by the time it arrived at the table...

The best freshly squeezed orange juice I've ever had. Breakfast was okay, could have been nicer, but it was good enough. And the cream cheese dip was perfect! All in all, great.

Located behind the Elisenbrunnen in the countryside. You can sit comfortably inside and out and the food tastes good and fills you up. The Kaiserschmarrn is particularly recommended.

Delicious German cuisine. When I meet girls in Aachen, we often go there. The location is perfect, you can reward yourself with something delicious after shopping. Tasty food, very generous portions, leftovers eaten at home the next day. The staff is nice. And the ambience is really nice.

The two of us had dinner there on Easter Monday. The restaurant is nice, nice atmosphere. The food was also delicious. However, the service was a disaster. The two women were always in a hurry, looked around important and didn't see anything. I had to get a pepper mill myself, which wasn't even noticed. When I was clearing away I wasn't asked if I wanted anything else to drink, even though my glass was empty. Too bad.

During my visit to Aachen, I ate in the Elisenbrunnen restaurant one evening. It is centrally located next to the fountain of the same name in the city center and offers a dignified ambience. The menu is clear but varied so that there should be something for every taste. The food itself comes to the table quite quickly after ordering and is okay in terms of taste and appearance, but not a culinary revelation. Since the price is right, the restaurant is definitely recommended.

Delicious food. The disadvantage is that gluten-free options are minimal.

There's nothing to complain about and you can also sit outside and watch the hustle and bustle of the city.

There is always good to do here. The 'library' is particularly cozy. Traditional dishes such as roulades or sauerbraten are particularly recommended. The selection of fish dishes in particular is somewhat limited.

I ordered a penne with shrimps and my friend ordered a sauerbraten. The waiting time was about an hour. The penne is very salty for me.

Whether in front of the fireplace or at the table, it's a great atmosphere. The books on the shelf can be read. The food was perfect and quickly served at the table when the house was fully booked. A nice selection of drinks and great value for money.

Update: I've eaten there a few times in the meantime and everything was perfect again. Good food and very courteous service. So there was a one-off slip-up below. Unfortunately very busy today and the staff quite annoyed. After the wrong food came and I was informed that the mistake was mine, we were able to start at some point. Some of the food was cold and the waffles had been warmed up once. No enjoyment. When I saved up the tip, the waiter wanted to kill me with his eyes. Hopefully better next time. Today just three very nicely meant points.

The food is good, and the prices are reasonable for the area. We had a great coconut soup, chicken strips, and Wiener schnitzel. The portion sizes are good.

The reservation went well, only the name was written down completely incorrectly. The service on site was very good. We were served quickly and all the service staff were very friendly. The cards are printed in A3 and at first glance they are a bit confusing due to their size. At second glance, designed with wit and skill. The food tasted very good and had a pleasant portion size. The atmosphere is really cozy and stylish. The prices are okay. There is the option to sit outside with a view of the park. We will be happy to come back there.

The location is great. The service was very questionable. We weren't served on the left side even though there was a free table. Had to switch to the right side. We were served there. Rather unfriendly. A piece of cake at the next table was significantly larger than ours. Everything is somehow strange.

A large café or restaurant with manageable charm in the middle of AC. For breakfast: boring and not well thought out. For example: the vegetarian breakfast for just under 16 euros without drinks/without coffee. 1 slice of bread and 1 wheat roll. 4 slices of cheese. 3 small pieces of Camembert Peppers pickled in oil Artichoke cream And a portion of cream cheese on an unappetizing bed of pretty old raspberries (3 pieces), 3 pieces of walnuts and pretty old-looking blueberries... No jam, no croissant... Why the dry cream cheese? Nope...not recommended.

Great food, some traditional German food plus other styles to choose from. Service excellent. I would advise taking cash as it may have just been an issue on the night but they didn’t accept Mastercard or Visa, which I didn’t find out until going to pay.

We were here last night and enjoyed the meal. There's no better Wiener Schnitzel in Aachen and the surrounding area than here. The roulade was also delicious. Plus, the service was very attentive—what more could you want in a prime location in the Elisengarten?

The restaurant impresses with authentic Austrian cuisine. The Wiener Schnitzel is an absolute highlight, perfectly breaded and crispy golden brown. The portions are generous and the value for money is excellent.

Unfortunately, the food has become very expensive, but it's still very good. The beer selection is very limited, but the wines are good. And there's delicious coffee from Plums and cake from Lammerskötter.
