We ate there for the second time and were once again very impressed! The Greek food served is a bit "different." The starter, main course, and dessert leave nothing to be desired. The service is friendly and unobtrusive, yet always present. A restaurant that we would happily recommend, and we will definitely be back!

I was able to celebrate my birthday at Elia Restaurant on Saturday – and it was simply perfect! 🎉✨ Even beforehand, the contact was super pleasant: all questions were answered quickly and friendly, making me feel immediately welcome. This impression was only confirmed on arrival – the service was attentive, warm, and always present, without ever being intrusive. The ambiance is stylish yet cozy, just the right atmosphere for a special occasion. And most importantly: the food was outstanding! Everything was finely coordinated, perfectly flavored, and lovingly presented. I felt incredibly comfortable and was able to enjoy my birthday to the fullest. 💛 A huge thank you to the entire team – I will definitely be back and can highly recommend Elia!

This Greek restaurant isn't comparable to any other Greek restaurant—let's just say that right from the start. It is definitely the best Greek restaurant in Frankfurt, and perhaps even in all of Germany!! 😍 Delicious Greek cuisine, with a modern touch, à la fine dining, and accents from molecular gastronomy. This was our second time there; the first time, we only had a few mezes, not knowing what we'd missed from the main menu. The chef's recommendations of braised suckling lamb and the yogurt mousse with catamelous nuts, pickled fruit, and grated feta were simply delicious! 😍 But also the mezes, such as the melitzanosalata and the tzatziki, with the way they are prepared and presented—you'll be there with your eyes, too—although they say that a true Greek isn't interested in how a dish is presented; it has to taste good first and foremost! And how it tastes here!!! 😍 We will definitely come back, and with friends too. Many thanks to Pavlos and his amazing team! 🇬🇷 Stay the way you are, you're amazing!! Anyone who complains here doesn't understand the unique concept of this place!

What I can definitely say about the restaurant is that you definitely have to like a Greek restaurant; it's not for everyone. We had the mixed starter plate, and there were things on it that I definitely liked, but also things that I definitely can't name, as well as some things that I simply didn't like, even though I'm quite keen to try new things. I won't deduct a star for that, because it's subjective. The tzatzaki was a bit too sour for my personal taste, but that's just a personal opinion. My girlfriend's and my main courses were actually very good, though. The dessert was also very tasty; the dark ring was walnut mousse, I think. My favorite there were the little toppings around it, but my girlfriend really liked the walnut mousse. Regarding the wines: The wine recommendation was excellent. I have nothing to add to that. Regarding the service: Super friendly, super attentive, answering every question without making you feel "stupid." When I had to get some fresh air for a bit due to asthma and was talking to my friend about the window, the lady even came over and asked if everything was okay and, when I said I was, even gave me a glass of water. All in all, it was a very successful evening, and I can recommend it to anyone who wants to try something new.

A restaurant praised for its excellent cuisine – we had to try it a few months ago. Unfortunately, the value for money wasn't entirely convincing. The food was beautifully presented and the waiters were very friendly, but the taste wasn't quite as good as advertised, justifying the prices. The soft drink we ordered was poured from a large bottle without a spritzer and was replaced with a fresh one upon request. It can happen, but it really shouldn't be at this level... The food was certainly good, but for us, it lacked something to make it excellent, which is why we unfortunately won't be coming back.

We're coming here for our after-party after the club night at Saalbau Gallus. It's close, and we have a heated room to ourselves. The Athens salad was good and plentiful. The service was prompt. The hospitality was standard. You can only pay by card for €15 or more.

Everything was decent, but portions and authenticity were simply not there for the price point. An appetizer plate contained fried pita bread and some dips... for €80... Most dishes had homemade execution level with fine dining portions. I would be happy to get served these dishes at a friend's place but this is not what is expected from a restaurant especially at this price point - I can guarantee you can make a better meal if given a proper recipe and instructions. Their menu is not focused, cutting it in half might imrove quality since they won't have to do so much prep. Wine prices did not make sense either but that is a completely different story. Service was alright. We waited too long for the entrees to come out (we were the first or second table that night). They tried to be attentive, but the problem is still the same - they are running it like a home-style cafe and do not provide a restaurant level service.

I recently ate at Elia Restaurant and had mixed impressions. The rack of lamb was cooked to perfection. Unfortunately, the meat in the Giovetsi was a bit dry, and the dessert was also quite dry and hard, which somewhat spoiled the experience. However, I would like to particularly praise the service: The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and really made an effort to ensure we had a pleasant evening. The good service definitely left a positive impression. I hope the restaurant refines its cuisine a bit, because with such great service, it has great potential!

Average food, but a €100 per person no-show… for a table of 10. I find that a bit of a stretch considering the quality offered 😅 Okay in a Michelin-starred restaurant, but unacceptable in a mediocre Greek taverna.

The ambiance is very nice and elegant. I had the gyro, which was too salty and spicy. The food is nicely presented but nothing special, especially for the price.

Our server was very attentive, courteous, and polite, even waiting until we finished our conversation or interrupted it himself so as not to disturb us! As a Local Guide among the top 10%, I've already had the opportunity to experience many special restaurants – but this one is definitely one of the highlights. The dishes are of a very high culinary standard, comparable to Michelin-starred restaurants, and impress with their refined flavors and modern presentation. The cuisine subtly showcases Greek influences without resorting to clichés. The dessert, in particular, was exceptional and will stay with me for a long time. The red wine recommendation was excellently matched and rounded off the menu perfectly. If you appreciate fine dining with a creative touch, this is the place for you. I'll definitely be back on my next visit to Frankfurt – a clear recommendation! A place that combines enjoyment and hospitality at the highest level – and one that will be fondly remembered.

I have been coming to Frankfurt for 15 years or more and have only just discovered Elia which is a delight. Do not hesitate, as I did not when I rebooked for the next night this week. Super team, food was like I never left Santorini last Saturday!

Lovely Greek restaurant. We tried a varied starter that included fried feta cheese with a crunchy topping that took away the feeling. The beef tenderloin at its point. A highly recommended place.

Unfortunately we didn't like the food at all. The meat was totally fatty. However, the service tried very hard to ensure our satisfaction and gave us a small surprise in the form of a dessert to compensate. Nevertheless, it has to be said that a completely different quality can be expected given the very high prices.

Zu Beginn die Highlights, tolle Atmosphäre, hervorragender sehr aufmerksamer Service. Alles in allem, frische Produkte, die Lammhaxe war Butterzart, die Vorspeisenplatte war fair dimensioniert. Aber mir hat bei allen Gängen, sei es die Lammhaxe, die gefüllten Kartoffeltaschen, den Vorspeisen, die Raffinesse gefehlt! Die Prise, Pfeffer, Salz, Majoran bei den KartoffeltaschenRosmarin, Knoblauch, Pfeffer beim Lamm oder auch ein paar Kräuter und Knoblauch beim Zatziki. Das hätte den Unterschied gemacht. Das Problem heute zu Tage ist, dass die Lebensmittel für sich selbst, leider kaum noch Eigengeschmack haben. Der Wein war für ein Griechisches Produkt recht gut. Das Olivenöl war hervorragend, die Baklava Nachspeise Weltklasse. Schon zu empfehlen wenn man es nicht so würzig mag.

I can only warmly recommend this restaurant and am already looking forward to my next visit!

Elia Restaurant - an authentic Greek taste experience in Frankfurt Elia restaurant in the Gallus district offers authentic and modern Greek cuisine, appreciated by both locals and visitors. The menu is varied - lamb dishes, grilled seafood and gyros made from Black Angus beef are especially praised. The service is warm and welcoming, creating a cozy atmosphere in which to dine. The restaurant has limited space, so advance reservations are strongly recommended, which can be conveniently done through OpenTable. The location is good, there are also free parking facilities in the center of Saalbau Gallus. All in all, Elia offers a great experience of Greek flavors that is definitely worth going back to!

Six of us had dinner today. It was our first visit, and the occasion was a birthday. For a Tuesday, it was unusually busy, with lots of business people. The service was courteous and attentive. Some of our starters and main courses were exciting, some were as expected, and some were disappointing. We recommended the gavros, zucchini fritters, gyros, and souvlaki, but not the mousaka. When we booked, it was not mentioned that we were expected to vacate the table at a certain time. Although we asked about the occasion—in our case, a birthday—it was not addressed in any way. Even the free ouzo, which is customary in many restaurants, was not offered. Perhaps this is due to the restaurant's standards. Our conclusion: in the future, we would rather eat Greek food in a more rustic setting.

Unfortunately we cannot agree with the good reviews. Unfortunately, the dishes we ordered were rather bland. The service was non-existent, we had to be reminded three times about the beer we ordered. In addition, it was already cleared away while eating was still taking place - an absolute no-go! After pointing out that the service was poor, there wasn't even a question, it was simply accepted with an "Oh, okay."

I just have to write a review because there was too much, judge for yourself: I had to ask for my drink three times, Dishes were cleared away while we were still eating, bread upon request and after a delay, food was a matter of taste, quality seemed good and nicely prepared, others were bland. Ordered invoice separately but received for the entire table. The average price was below the total, but we had very different orders. The final hit was that the tip was already specified in the EC machine.

Mega delicious food and great service.

We had a vegetarian starter platter for 2 people. Unfortunately the salad was a bit limp, but the rest of the dishes were freshly prepared and very tasty. The breaded sheep's cheese with a crispy grain breading was particularly good. And the dessert (Greek yogurt with nuts and honey) was fantastic. Service was great again!!!! We'd love to come back.

Das Essen war wirklich sehr gut - das einmal vorneweg. Allerdings begann unser Restaurantbesuch schon mit der Bemerkung, dass wir den Tisch nur für maximal zwei Stunden hätten, da anschließend eine Gruppe erwartet würde. An unser Telefonat, bei dem wir extra nach einem Tisch ohne zweite Belegung gefragt hatten, konnte sich niemand erinnern. Die sehr leckeren Vorspeisen bekamen wir dann (extra?) zügig, dafür eiskalt aus der Kühlung. Nach dem Hauptgang lies man uns dann engagiert spüren, dass wir offenbar nicht länger erwünscht waren. Wir bekamen keine Dessert-Karte und keine weiteren Getränke angeboten, der Service konzentrierte sich auf die andren Tische. Nachdem sich die angekündigte Gruppe einfand, wurden wir gefragt, ob wir denn (immer noch) bleiben wollten. Mein Mann forderte daraufhin die Rechnung und noch einen Espresso. Gefühlt widerwillig wurde der noch schnell zubereitet, ich hingegen wurde nicht mal gefragt, ob ich vielleicht auch einen möchte. Später stand der Espresso dann nicht auf der Rechnung, etwas „auf‘s Haus“ bekam allerdings nur einer von uns. Wirklich schade, bei dem Potential der ansprechenden Räume und des schmackhaften Essens, dass offenbar Messebesucher in Gruppen wertvoller sind als Paare aus Frankfurt, die womöglich ein zweites Mal gekommen wären. So sicher nicht, ich habe mich noch nie so unwohl und unerwünscht in einem Restaurant gefühlt.

A great culinary experience in a pleasant atmosphere and a very friendly and helpful service that is very knowledgeable and happy to help you choose food and drinks. We started the evening with cocktails and a Greek platter (Pikilia Metro). A perfect start to the evening! The dolmadakia are simply delicious and for me an absolute highlight of the plate. For the main course we chose Moshari Giovetsi and a dish of the day with lamb. Personally, I'm not a big fan of lamb, but I loved this dish. Just one small criticism: the potatoes served with the lamb weren't crispy, but that doesn't make my rating bad and I definitely recommend this restaurant. Unfortunately, we didn't have room for dessert at the end, but we'll save that for next time.

My visit to the Elia Restaurant in Frankfurt was an absolute pleasure! The food was simply incredibly delicious - everything was fresh and authentically Greek, which makes the heart of a real foodie beat faster. The starters were a real treat, especially the “Metro” selection which was just perfectly balanced. Every ingredient tasted fresh and harmonized wonderfully with each other. It was clear that the cooking here was done with a lot of love and dedication. The main courses were spectacular. The meat and fish in particular were cooked to perfection and incredibly tender. The side dishes complemented the dishes perfectly and rounded off the taste experience. You can really tell that only high-quality ingredients are used at Elia. The desserts were also an absolute dream. All desserts were homemade and were a real highlight of the evening. The flavors and textures in particular were unique and rounded off the meal in a sweet way. A small point of criticism is the wines, which were a bit overpriced in my opinion. Nevertheless, there was a large selection that had something to offer for every taste. The service was excellent - the waitress was incredibly friendly and professional at the same time. You could immediately tell that the staff is well trained and attaches great importance to the satisfaction of the guests. All in all, it was a fantastic evening at Elia Restaurant and I would highly recommend it. We will definitely come back!

The Elia Restaurant in Frankfurt is a real highlight among Greek restaurants! We reserved a table at short notice via OpenTable and were thrilled. The location is perfect and easy to reach with Uber. The ambience is exclusive and stylish – you immediately feel welcome. The food was absolutely perfect: authentic, fresh and prepared with a lot of love. The attentive service was particularly impressive, including the owner, who personally looks after the well-being of the guests. As a special gesture, there was a small bottle of ouzo as a gift at the end of the meal - a very nice gift that rounded off the evening perfectly. We will definitely come back and can recommend the Elia without reservation!

The restaurant offers very good Greek cuisine beyond gyros, grilled or Hercules plates. The dishes are well seasoned and beautifully presented. The prices are a bit high and not always appropriate. However, the otherwise friendly and fast service is a bit too business-like for my taste, be it in offering additional drinks or dishes without specifying the price, or the mineral water placed on the table without asking, of which both bottles standing on the table (0 each) are consumed when a glass is consumed .7 l) were billed. Since this business efficiency, after reviewing other customer reviews, seems to have a system, two stars are deducted.

Ein schönes Lokal mit netter Bedienung. Die Gericht werden auf den Tellern gekonnt präsentiert. Die einzelnen Speisen haben das große Versprechen allerdings in keinster Weise eingelöst. Geschmacklich nichtssagend!!!Nachdem wir über die Geschichte des Lokals und die Lorbeeren der Köche gelesen hatten, sind wir mit entsprechenden Erwartungen ins Elia gekommen.Hatten die hochdekorierten Chefköche an dem Abend frei ? Die Preise für die Mittelmäßigkeit, die uns da geboten wurde,sind jedenfalls in keiner Weise gerechtfertigt. Schade ☹️

Sehr nettes Ambiente und sehr nette Bedienung - die ab und an etwas aufmerksamer hätte sein können. Die Karte liest sich mal ganz anders als bei "normalen" griechischen Restaurants. Das Tzatziki und Pita-Brot vorweg war das Beste des Abends! Sehr schmackhaft. Mein Hauptgericht Moshari Giovetsi hingegen war ok. Das Fleisch leider nicht hochwertig und somit nicht den Preis wert. Z.T. zäh und knorpelig. Bei knapp 30€ sollte das nicht sein. Die Portionen der anderen waren nicht gerade groß. Vielleicht versucht man hier mehr Schein als sein...? Trotzdem ist es empfehlenswert, da es einfach mal eine andere Karte ist und man sehr gemütlich und gepflegt sitzen kann. Großes Manko jedoch: jeder Tisch wird abends doppelt besetzt und man wird mit der Bitte nun zu zahlen hinausbefördert. Ouzo o.ä. auf´s Haus als Entschuldigung dafür leider Fehlanzeige.

Strengthened by the high rating from the reviews, we tried it. One of the worst experiences and I advise against everything. The meat very dry. Fish feels not fresh and still cold. We were hoping at least for pitas with dips but we didn't even finish the dishes. The wine is expensive and tastes like a supermarket. Very high price for the quality. Terrible and not recommended

The food is good and (fortunately) not the "Greek mainstream". This is unusual because you are staying in the SAALBAU building and you might expect a “normal” Greek. In my opinion the food and drinks are too expensive. At this price point I would expect TOP service and a TOP ambience.

Sehr schöne Location, die 2er Tische sind was klein, die 4er top, sehr freundliches, hilfsbereites Personal. Das Essen war ok. Könnte was raffinierter abgeschmeckt/gewürzt werden. Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen wenn man die griechische Küche mag. Für mich persönlich war die Auswahl der Speisen schon zu groß (ich konnte mich bald nicht entscheiden 🫣)

The food was great, but the waiter suggested a few plates and wine, without giving us the menu. The first bottle of wine was already open and they also charged us for the whole thing. A theft!!! We trusted the waitress and ended up with a bill of €750 for seven of us!!! €60 for each bottle of wine recommended by her! Good food, friendly service, but spending more than €100 per person for what we ate is absolutely unacceptable! If you go, be careful what you order and don't leave it to them!!!

Elia es uno de los mejores restaurantes en los que he tenido el placer de comer. Éramos un grupo de 40 y aunque los asientos eran un poco acogedores, nos atendió muy bien el brillante equipo de Elia. Optamos por el menú de platos compartidos y fue simplemente divino! Vaya fiesta. Esta es una manera brillante de mantener la conversación animada en la mesa. Había una increíble variedad de platos para compartir... desde mariscos frescos, hasta deliciosas carnes, ensaladas, salsas, panes. Apenas había espacio para postres, ¡aunque era demasiado tentador parar! Nuestros vinos, especialmente elegidos por el equipo, eran deliciosos. No he disfrutado tanto de una comida en mucho tiempo. ¡Gracias Elia! Volveré.

Great service (quick, nice, table cleaned between starter and main course), but the price was far too expensive. Starter platter for almost €20 per person, worth at most half of that. The same with my main course (veal with rice noodles in tomato sauce), too expensive and unfortunately not convincing in terms of taste. My husband's main course was very tasty (Angus beef gyros), but also very expensive at €39.

Unobtrusive service is topped by beautifully presented, delicious food. Prices are higher than for “ordinary” Greeks, but you want (and can) play in a higher league. We were very satisfied.

We were there after the Frankfurt Book Fair and thought there would be hearty Greek cuisine, but unfortunately that wasn't the case, so it's best to take a look at the menu beforehand. We paid €100 for 3 people. We had water and a main course each. There is already water on the tables when you come into the restaurant. NOTE: Many people are used to water that is already provided being free of charge. Here it costs €8.50 per bottle (0.75l). The prices are quite high, but could be acceptable if the quality is adequate. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. One dish was completely burned and the other two dishes had hardened cartilage in the ham, which was probably so hard that it hurt to bite into it. Very unfortunate for the price.

A beautiful and cozy restaurant! The starter was very varied and extensive, the main course was delicious. Highly recommended!
