Simply a waste of time and a shame about all that money. We were there on September 28th, 2024 at 7 p.m EL Toro with 5 people. We stood at the entrance for ages until someone noticed us. Since we had a reservation, the boss first had to think about where he could sit us. When we arrived at the place it took forever, over 10 minutes, to get drinks. The restaurant was busy but most people had already had their food. Since I had time I was able to look around and see what it looked like in the Egg Toro. It was shockingly worn furniture in the corners, threads of stamens and a thick layer of dust. The young waitress walked around listlessly and without a plan and didn't invent the work. There were paper place mats on the tables, they weren't thrown away but wiped down and it was really hard to see the plates and glass edges, leftover food was spread on the bench. Many tables were wiped with rags and not rinsed. Disinfection and cleanliness are zero. The food starter Tappas platter, onion soup and salmon, with Tappas platter that has nothing to do with ham salami finished that has nothing to do with Tappas. Onion soup must have been confinement in terms of taste. The only thing that was really good was the taste of the salmon, but as a starter it was way too much. The main course, I only choose 2 dishes out of 5. A plate for 2 people with fries and fried potatoes. The meat was placed on the fries and fried potatoes. The fries soaked up the fat enthusiastically and the fried potatoes swam in fat. The meat was dry and tough, the beef steak was tough and couldn't be chewed. On the platter there was only cheap meat at exorbitant prices. 60 € was clearly too much. Fries tasted warmed up. You can't really go wrong with the Jägerschnitzel, far from it, the sauce from the package and the mushrooms, I haven't seen such angular mushrooms in a long time, only broken pieces and the slats under the mushroom cape are black as night. I've never seen anything like that, not even in the supermarket Quality 3 and the fries were kept warm. Like warming up fries from lunch. A salad buffet is not a highlight but rather a standard in most restaurants.

Wij als vlees liefhebbers vinden dit een fijn steakhouse met een uitstekende prijs-kwaliteit verhouding waar we regelmatig terug komen. Het aanbod is uitgebreid, schnitzels, mixed grill enzovoorts. De friet is van goede kwaliteit en niet vet en het saladebuffet, welke gratis is, heeft naar onze mening volop keus. We gaan meestal aan het eind van de middag, het is dan nog niet heel druk, de bestellingen die wij opgaven waren er snel. De entourage is gezellig en het personeel vriendelijk en attent. Wij vinden El Toro nummer één in Kranenburg en omgeving en komen weer terug.

Breaded schnitzels were no longer as tasty as before, baked/fried too hard, lots of breadcrumbs, Don Pedro pancakes and fried potatoes but they were super better. Don't order breaded meat. Tip for El Toro: make freshly baked natural schnitzel in cream sauce with mushrooms etc. Better than this hunter schnitzel with a neutral taste

Fancy a really bad restaurant? Then this is a winner. Here too, they have discovered that you can simply put snitzels in the fryer, saving time and making a lot of easy money. Yesterday we had dinner with a colleague, both of us had snitzel and baked potatoes, at the presentation we both did not have a good feeling about the order and indeed: we were both sick after 1.5 hours, there is clearly something wrong with the food preparation. Gezellig en goed eten? Dan ga je naar El Toro in Kranenburg. Prima sfeer en zeer uitgebreide kaart voor iedere beurs geschikt. De kaart is zowel in NL als in het Duits. Parkeren voor de deur of in de nabije omgeving. Kinderen welkom en er is een kinderkamer.

Het is een populaire restaurant omdat het afgeladen vol zat en toch onze diner op normale wachttijd ontvangen. Eten was ook heerlijk maar ook de prijs..

Grill counter, nice friendly service and a great salad bar where the leek salad has been missing for a while, I even think there is another chef. Definitely worth repeating.

If you really want to know how bad a restaurant can be, this is a winner... This restaurant is ruled by ignorance and greed. Bringing in so many people and not telling them that your food will only arrive 1.5 hours later. I have really experienced hope, but this was really unbelievably bad. The staff are children of 14, 15 years old who are scolded when they notice that something (to put it mildly) is not going well. Drinks are brought to the wrong tables (table number is simply on the table). Normally I don't really write a whole epistle, but this one, and I hope people read this, ...NOT TOWARDS. Certainly not if you have children of this age yourself. Really scandalous restaurant. We didn't know how quickly we had to get out of here... we just checked the receipt. If only we had paid for the table next to us...

We sat on the terrace. After ordering it took 50 minutes before we got the food. But that was good and tasty! There was some smoking on the terrace during dinner, which was a shame. Some flies and wasps also came to the food, but that is a disadvantage of eating outside. Furthermore, a great company that delivers good food at a reasonable price!

We reserved a table for 10 people in advance, but unfortunately nothing was prepared. When we arrived, the waitress went in and didn't even greet us. Even though she was standing at the door. Good food at reasonable prices. But having to wait almost 1,5 hour before 4 simple meals are being served is way too long. I understand that it is hard to find enough and good personell. But if that is the problem close (at least a part of) the terrace. One more point: I made a reservation, but it was not written down. We were lucky to get the last free table, but that is not how it should be. But like I said; the food is very very well

Quantity instead of class, that was the spoiled conclusion of my visit to the Retaurant El Toro in Kranenburg. The name El Toro (Spanish for the bull) for a Balkan restaurant should have made me suspicious; That should have seemed Spanish to me. I ordered the house skewer for 25 euros; I specifically chose the slightly more expensive dish because, for me, quality is more important than quantity. I was looking forward to, for example, a fillet steak skewer made from hand-cured organic Kobe beef that was cross-fried on the outside and delicately pink on the inside. Maybe with a little garlic butter, French fries and princess beans. I received a plate of French fries, which were covered by 6 to 7 lobes of different meat, some breaded; consisting of chicken/turkey, pork and minced meat. A quick inquiry to the waitress revealed that this was actually the house skewer. Even after a thorough forensic examination, I found no puncture marks in the flesh, so any clever lawyer would have pleaded innocent to the suspicion of "spit". In addition, lining up the flabby pieces of meat would have meant a skewer length of about a meter: find a pan that big. So it makes sense to me to assume that the frozen potato strips together with the meat flaps, whose storage conditions were presumably in the minus range, were bathed in warm, old frying fat and then slowly brought to the target frying temperature. This meant that fries and meat could optimally absorb the used oil and further increase the menu weight. Based on the impressions described, I ate very little of the dish. I briefly considered having the meat given to me in a doggy bag for the neighbor's dog (I don't like him anyway), but I didn't want to risk being charged with animal cruelty. The friendly service alone deserves the only star awarded. She explained to me in detail that, due to frequent requests from regular customers from neighboring countries, there always needs to be as much as possible on their plates. About two to three hours later, my gastrointestinal tract made a loud and audible rumbling noise and painfully warned me to stop eating such foods in the future. This eventually led to a lengthy session in the china department. The excursion into the epicurean adventure of el Toro ended that same evening in the municipal sewage treatment plant in Kranenburg.

Bad and cheap food, totally unfriendly staff. The female person who works at the cash register is constantly arguing with the owner of the restaurant and the waiters. Cheap food and drinks, I don't recommend anyone to come to this place

Dragan's restaurant "El Toro" is and remains one of our favorite food spots in the Klever area. The surprise plate is always worth it. You'll definitely be more than full later!

We've been going to El Toro since I was little. The atmosphere is very cozy and inviting. It's a bit as if time had stood still there. The service is really very good - the girls are super attentive and friendly. The food is very tasty and we always like to come back. I can definitely recommend it :)

The meat was well prepared, but had little or no flavor. Even if you used a little salt to enhance the flavor, it had no effect. I think sauce with beans and related came from a can. It's just a matter of heating it up and putting it on the plate. If I hadn't asked, I wouldn't have known that we could use the salad bar for the same price. When we indicated that we did not want coffee or dessert, it was made all too clear by saying that we would have to pay at the cash register. Staff was not involved, to the point of being snarky. I was pushed away because I was apparently in the way while I was waiting at the cash register to pay. This was once and never again.

We know this restaurant and come back again and again. Which means that we are very satisfied every time we eat there. Only yesterday when I got home I checked the bill for around €160 (4 people). I was shocked that I paid €2.75 for a glass of tap water. (We drank several other drinks and wines together) I don't find this customer friendly

Delicious food, but a glass of tap water without ice/lemon for 🤐 2.75 euros. Pay close attention to your receipt, the unused sauces from our table simply went to the next table 🫣🫣🫣 and customers have to pay extra for that too. 🤮

After we ordered, we waited an hour and a half for the order. Then asked where the order was. Waitress had lost our order. What did we order again... we walked away. Staff walk around stressed like headless chickens. Don't look further than their beak.... Food looked delicious, but we will never eat El Toro again.

We've eaten there three times now. The food was very tasty and the prices were reasonable. The staff, mainly an older, tall, thin man and a middle-aged woman with a pigtail and glasses (possibly the owners?!), are not exactly friendly. The two sometimes argue in front of the customers. That should urgently change. In addition, these two are very taciturn. You almost never hear a please or thank you. The rest of the staff is ok. When you pay by card, which you have to do at the checkout, with one of the people mentioned, you stand there and are ignored. As I said, the food is good, but you don't really feel welcome. Really a shame.

The food is fine. Especially if you are a meat lover. The service is just terribly bad. You just don't want to be treated like that as a guest. They don't know the word hospitable at El Toro. It is mainly an ordinary food shed.

Vanwege de drukte en ik denk personeelstekort hebben we meer dan een uur op ons eten moeten wachten. Over de saladebar werd niets gezegd maar hadden we zelf ontdekt. Toen na 5 kwartier ons eten gebracht werd wat ze denk ik vergeten waren werd er gevraagd of we nog wat te drinken wilden. Deze bestelling kwam pas een half uur later toen het eten al op was mijn man al binnen aan het afrekenen was. Dus dat zei ik en toen werd de man erg boos en onvriendelijk. Dan had ik het niet moeten bestellen want ik was niet de enige klant. In het dikke uur dat we op ons eten aan het wachten waren zagen we ook dat hij tegen andere klanten zo onvriendelijk was en ook tegen de obers die voor hem werkte. Erg jammer want het eten was prima en we hebben nergens over geklaagd. Maar als het personeel hun stress gaat af reageren op de klanten dan ben je toch verkeerd bezig denk ik.

We came to El Toro purely by chance as part of our vacation. The menu on the front door was too tempting to just walk past the restaurant. And it was so worth it! The ambience is really nice. The service was very attentive despite the large number of guests. There is a remarkable amount of space inside the restaurant plus seating outside. The food is simply delicious!!! And the prices are at a very humane level. We will definitely remember this restaurant and come back there again at every opportunity!!!!

Waited 10 minutes when ordering drinks, then asked the lady where our drink was. She told us that we had not ordered anything from her!!! We were not informed about the salad bar. The bill also included the mayonnaise sachets. When we reported this, they simply said that this happened automatically and there was nothing they could do about it. The food gets a 7, but because of the service I think a 6.5 is already quite high.
