Terrible service. We were already halfway there and still hadn't been offered a drink or food.

We walked into the shop and unfortunately the staff ran away from us, leaving us standing at the entrance as if we had been ordered and not picked up. After about 10 minutes and what felt like three waiters walking past us, we raised our hand. After a 30-minute wait, we were able to order drinks. After another 50 minutes, we called the waiter ourselves so we could order. The food was tasty, but if the service isn't up to scratch, then the whole thing isn't that great. The ambiance itself is nice. Unfortunately, I wouldn't come again, as the service was truly abysmal.

Owners are so unpolite, they are arguing whole time, food are not too bad but in that atmosphere it was awlfull. I was there three times and every time is the same situation, they dont care about their customers, shame for owners.

Good food for a great price, good meat. The steak didn't get a 10, it was simply excellent. The desserts are delicious! The ice cream is really good. Served quickly, nice atmosphere! The picture shows the "pirate counter" and Bananasplit.

Just when entering who we assume was the boss did not want even to communicate, he was just mentioning that he only speaks german and many other things we could not understand in a very bad way. Definitely any other waiter could have attend us, but they did not. So, we just left cause we did not want to be in a place like that. Not even if the food was good will deserve it. Totally impolite and racist.

We visited this establishment by chance, but the impression of staying in this establishment is simply wonderful, the food is very tasty, the service is simply at the highest level, they offered to take the food that was left with us. Very satisfied with the establishment👍

We had a wonderful meal here. They have a very extensive menu. The restaurant has a small but excellent salad buffet where you can create your own salad (included in the price). The staff is extremely friendly and courteous. We'll definitely be eating here again!

We all ordered meat dishes, all at different prices, but we all received exactly the same meat. It was a bit ridiculous to pay 25 euros for one person and only 15 for another. It took an awfully long time, and no refills were made on our drinks. I used to come here often, and it was very good, but after this one, I wouldn't go back.

I tried to have lunch here with my family. According to their website, El Toro opens at noon on weekends. The signs outside the shop also said noon. We walked in promptly after noon, where my wife and children were glared at by the owner. "What were we doing there? They were still closed. Come back in an hour!" Rude guy. I know how to make it even better: we're never coming back!

Honestly, I don't understand what all the Dutch people like so much about this place. I've been there several times, but I've been disappointed every time. The quality of the food leaves a lot to be desired, and the service could definitely be better. There are so many other great restaurants in Kranenburg that offer much more—both in terms of taste and ambiance. El Toro doesn't really stand out for me. The atmosphere is rather uncomfortable, and the value for money isn't right, in my opinion.

How can you offer so many dishes? Then the meat must be frozen. Reduce your menu considerably, adding fresh meat and vegetables because those were also cooked to a crisp.

Very good steaks, cooked to perfection. The surprise platter was okay; a few good pieces of meat were accompanied by frozen vegetables, fried potatoes, and croquettes with hollandaise sauce from a packet. Not really great. We sat in the large outdoor area; nothing exceptional, but perfectly fine. All in all, I'd go back anytime for a steak dinner.

The food wasn't good either; the liver was tough and the salad from the buffet tasteless. Even the non-alcoholic Witbier had no taste. I even got a stomach ache afterward. We'll never go to El Toro again! If you don't want to be a red rag to the Bull (El Toro), stay away. It will save you a lot of money and inconvenience.

We ate there for the first time yesterday, and we'd already heard long waits from others. Our first drinks came after half an hour, and our food after about an hour. The people next to us were really surprised that we were already getting our food, even though they'd been there a while. I think it was clearly understaffed; the whole bar was full of empty glasses, and the table that had just been vacated hadn't even been wiped down with a wet cloth. And the schnitzels weren't very tasty either, a waste of money. Next time, I'll go back to Elten.

It was incredibly busy when we were there, and we certainly noticed. We waited an hour and a half for the tapas platter we'd ordered as a starter, and that platter was a pile of wilted lettuce and carrots covered in a few slices of different salami. The olives listed on the menu were nowhere to be seen. Then we waited another half hour for the main course, which was actually quite good, except that the steak was well-done instead of medium-rare. They certainly won't be seeing us again...

We've eaten there three times now. The food was very tasty and the prices were reasonable. The staff, mainly an older, tall, thin man and a middle-aged woman with a pigtail and glasses (possibly the owners?!), are not exactly friendly. The two sometimes argue in front of the customers. That should urgently change. In addition, these two are very taciturn. You almost never hear a please or thank you. The rest of the staff is ok. When you pay by card, which you have to do at the checkout, with one of the people mentioned, you stand there and are ignored. As I said, the food is good, but you don't really feel welcome. Really a shame.

Kreeg het verkeerde eten. Volgens ober had ik jagerschnitzel besteld. Geb nog aangewezen in boek. Geen excuses, kreeg niks anders. Saus was erg veel ui, was niet lekker. Echt schandalig. Kom hier nooit meer. Had al eerdere slechte ervaring. Nu was ik hier op uitnodiging van een familielid. Wilde geen stennis maken ivm feestje, maar wat een pokken restaurant. Ook het serveren etc niet echt vriendelijk.

They serve you the soft drink directly in a glass without giving you a bottle or anything, which I don't think is true since I'm paying and it's not a buffet so they can give me the drink without a bottle. The food was good, in terms of quality and price, but a little cold and the meats were very dry. The potato portion was decent.

Simply delicious after a day of shopping in Kranenburg. Recommended: Cordon Bleu (The Cordon Blue doesn't look like the standard Cordon Blue, but they rolled it up.) And it tastes no less. Pljeskavica, deliciously seasoned minced meat with sheep's cheese filling, simply delicious, don't hesitate, just taste and enjoy. And next time you take the dish again. And finish that delicious meal with a weizen beer or an alt beer.

Had a delicious schnitzel in this cozy restaurant. The fries were not tasty enough to completely eat the huge portion. My favorite restaurant in the region. I have been coming there for years, always received a friendly welcome by the host Dragan or the permanent employee Sasha. Great price-quality ratio. Always cheaper than in the Netherlands. Huge selection of different affordable dishes. Definitely recommended if you are in the area. When the weather is good, there is a spacious terrace.... 🙏🏼

The food and drinks were great, very nice service

Called on December 30 at 5:00 PM to see if there was room for 5 at 7:00 PM. Once we arrived it was quite full. After 15 minutes, the "boss" beckoned over and placed the order. This was 5x drinks with 5x main course. The drink came after 15 minutes. Around 8:30 PM there was still no food and we saw several people waiting around us, looking around left and right. When I expressed my irritation to the 2 girls who were serving, they would ask. However, no answer was received. About to pay for the drinks and leave, I was done. Then suddenly after 1.45 hours the main course arrived. For us it was the 3rd time at El Toro, but also the last time. No tip given. The girls at the counter couldn't do anything about it and I got the strong impression that they didn't dare and shouldn't say much to the "boss". The least you could do is offer customers a free drink. However, El Patron himself was nowhere to be seen as the incident dragged on and on, not even when someone was unwell at the back of the store and the ambulance came to a standstill. The food itself was okay. But no 4th time for us. We spoke and saw people who were going through the same thing. Long wait...so they don't have everything in order there.

We had to wait more than 2 hours (!!) for our dishes. Many other guests have unfortunately had to experience the same thing. Ordered drinks were not served or at least 20 minutes later. When inquiring about the reason for the long wait, no clear answer was received. Finally the dishes were served 2.5 hours later. The only positive was that the dishes were excellent. But unfortunately for us it is not worth repeating.
