Nimweger Tor in Kranenburg

The community center in Kranenburg is not a restaurant, but a place to celebrate. The start of the carnival was simply brilliant. Great atmosphere, good service, cool drinks. It is no longer under the management of Thorsten Pauli but of Hagedorn, a great host. Is open to everything. The drinks stand at the St. Nicholas market on the church square is also very cozy.

We were looking forward to stopping here on our bike tour. A small daily special came with the main menu, which was also appealing, so I spontaneously opted for the onion cake with salad. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed when the dish was served: a very small piece of onion cake, a few lettuce leaves, and a few pumpkin cubes – all for €15. The value for money here was not right for me at all. I generally support fair prices and am happy to pay a reasonable amount for good quality and a normal portion size, but this dish was not justified in my opinion. It's a shame, because my first impression of the restaurant was positive, and this is my first negative online review.
