If I could, I wouldn't give a single star. I had a reservation for Saturday to celebrate my birthday and my friend's with 25 people. Even beforehand, everything was very strange – I received a call in the middle of the night (12:30 a.m.!) about the reservation. When I went to the restaurant in person, I was treated very rudely. The woman I spoke to (presumably the manager, Graciete) was incredibly arrogant and disrespectful. She wanted to charge me €1.50 per person just because I wanted to bring a small symbolic birthday cake to sing "Happy Birthday" to – even though I wanted to bring my own plates. When I calmly expressed my opinion, she reacted ironically, saying, as has been seen, that a guest is telling her how to work. I explained that customer feedback is important—especially in 2025. We ended up canceling the reservation, and her colleague (presumably her husband, Sérgio) simply said on the phone that he was "glad" we weren't coming—and hung up. I've never experienced anything like it. Zero customer service, zero empathy. Very disappointing. I hope management urgently reconsiders its attitude toward guests.

I was able to celebrate my birthday here at El Torro with 60 family and friends. I've known the owners, a family business, for several years now. See for yourself the hospitality and the delicious food. After having celebrated our New Year's Eve party here, it was clear to us that we wanted to celebrate our 50th birthday here as well. From the professional planning, which left nothing to be desired, to the execution, everything went perfectly. We had a particularly hot day...perfect for the guests to celebrate in the quiet, large beer garden. No one had to wait long; cool drinks arrived every minute (a constant run for Tanja and Manfred in this heat). Many of my friends will be back, according to the feedback from my birthday party. Why? Because everything was perfect! Here you'll find top-notch service, friendliness, and a huge selection of delicious food. Such a lavish buffet and subsequent dessert buffet enchanted the guests, just the aroma and sight. Especially after the COVID pandemic, restaurants everywhere have had to raise their prices. Here at ElTorro, the price and quality are definitely right. In summary... Outstanding – this small family business – which is definitely not just an insider tip in Osnabrück. The best Spanish restaurant in all of Osnabrück! The food and service here are always top-notch. We're usually spontaneous and always manage to get a seat, even when it's full. If you want a nice evening with a great atmosphere, El Toro is the place for you. Highly recommended!

We had a small dog with us, and it wasn't allowed to sit on my lap or on a chair next to me. (Blanket) We complained and were taken to another room and forgotten from then on. Reordering wasn't possible in this case. We had to go to the front to pay, and the answer was "after that, you can leave," and then they forced us to tip. That's totally unacceptable! Conclusion: not dog-friendly at all & totally rude! We wouldn't recommend this restaurant; some of the food was cold, completely dirty, and much of it was frozen.

Certain tapas are good, others not

Superb food in a very relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. We've been coming here for years, and it's always fantastic :-) If you're in the mood for good Spanish tapas, this is the place to be :-)

The food (tapas) was served all at once in a very short time and since you can only eat it little by little, we had to eat half of it cold. It was warmed up frozen goods, e.g. E.g. dumplings, dates wrapped in bacon. The service was poor and when asked how we liked it, we gave a constructive criticism. The only answer we received was that tastes are different. We cannot recommend the restaurant.

Good food with very friendly service

We went to El Toro for the first time yesterday and I loved it. Since I know Spanish cuisine very well, especially tapas being my favorite, I can only confirm that the food was authentic. I felt close to my home. If you like Spanish cuisine, El Toro is a must. We had a combination of different tapas with a bottle of red wine. The evening couldn't have been better. We will come back.

There is a very nice and warm atmosphere here. One of the best tapas restaurants with a wide selection. The Portuguese mentality is brought to Osnabrück!

We had reserved a table for 4 people there at very short notice, which worked very well in terms of communication. We ordered some tapas and also 3 main courses. Das Ambiente ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und ein bisschen dunkel, aber trotzdem gemütlich und bietet auch für Gruppen verschiedener Größe Platz. Angenehme und ruhige Atmosphäre . Wir haben eine Reihe Tapas probiert und waren geschmacklich sehr angetan (z.B. Gambas, Bruschetta mit Ziegenkäse, Datteln bzw. Aprikosen im Speckmantel, Tintenfischringe, Patatas) Der Service ist freundlich und bemüht, aber hat auch Schwächen (unkonzentriert).

On Saturday afternoon we spontaneously decided to go out for dinner. Fortunately, reservations for 7 p.m. for two people were possible. The ambience is relatively simple and rustic. I liked that the glasses were still fine... thin-walled water and wine glasses and a beautiful carafe. I don't like it when you have so many dishes in your mouth when you drink. We ate a selection of tapas, all of which were excellent and served quickly and friendly. Plus a carafe of water and a bottle of wine, followed by a dessert (delicious!) and a glass of wine for everyone. We really enjoyed it, everything tasted wonderful and we will definitely come back again. However, in terms of price, going out to eat is no longer a real pleasure... without a tip we paid €104 - the bottle of wine alone cost almost €20 - although, apart from the prawns, we had rather cheap tapas such as olives and cheese , ham, bread and pimentos. So, at least for us, it remains something for special occasions and doesn't happen as often as it used to. This is expressly not a criticism of the restaurant's pricing; inflation ultimately affects us all. But two years ago you paid €15 to €20 less for the same meal. Nonetheless; It was very nice, the service was friendly and attentive and therefore: Thank you very much and see you next time!

Das Essen war sehr gut außer ein Gericht, was so verbrannt schmeckte, dass wir das sofort bei der Köchin reklamiert haben. Hier wurde sofort auf die Berechnung verwiesen und dass das zu dem Gericht gehört und so gekocht wird. Also ich glaube nicht, dass Tintenfisch nach Holzkohle schmecken soll. Naja wir mussten es dennoch bezahlen und es wurde zudem auch mitgenommen sofort, daher werde ich weder ( obwohl ich schon öfters hier war ) das Restaurant empfehlen noch werde ich jemals wiederkommen. Mein Vater hatte selber ein Restaurant und hat sich da der Kunde mal beschwert dann wurde wenigstens die Speise nicht berechnet. Schade war immer gerne dort aber das war das letzte mal. Ja

Wir waren enttäuscht. Hatten das Essen hier in deutlich besserer Erinnerung. Diesmal kam alles, was wir geordert hatten, eindeutig aus der Gefriertruhe und schmeckte nicht gut. Ergänzung: Wir waren an einem Dienstag Abend da.

Kleine gemütliche Tapas Bar, Familienbetrieb. Super herzliche Besitzer, toller Service, zuvorkommend und schnell. Wir waren an Silvester zum Buffet das erste Mal dort und waren sehr begeistert. Das Essen ist unheimlich lecker. Das Lokal ist klein, aber nicht eng, sondern richtig gemütlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Edit August 23: Ich habe gestern mit 8 Personen meinen Geburtstag im El Toro gefeiert. Von der Planung bis zur Feier fühlte ich mich super beraten! Die Chefin hat mit mir das Essen besprochen und ist unheimlich flexibel in der Gestaltung! Es wird einfach genau so, wie man es sich wünscht! Meine Gäste waren sehr begeistert vom Essen, dem überaus freundlichem Service und dem gemütlichen Ambiente. Ich möchte mich ganz herzlich für den schönen Abend bedanken ❤️ Wir kommen ab jetzt nur noch zu euch!

Für eine Geburtstagsfeier haben wir das gesamte Restaurant ab 17:00 gemietet, Alles war toll: Vorbesprechung, Service, leckeres und reichliches vielfältiges Essen und Tapas, kunstvoll angerichtete Nachspeise. Schön eingerichtete Räumlichkeiten. Haben mit einem Trio eine kleine Live Musik Einlage, was kein Problem für die Gastgeber war.

Mit 35 Gästen im el toro gefeiert! Perfekter ging es nicht🥰. Tanja half bei den Planungen: Deko, Vorspeisen, Tapas, Obstplatte.. alles grandios! ♥️ Graciete in der Küche, ...ein Traum, auch für unsere Vegetarier. Alle Gäste waren beeindruckt vom Service und vom Essen - mehr geht nicht.

Bedienung war super freundlich und herzlich, Essen war ausgezeichnet, Preise waren fair und das Ambiente war super. Ich kann Aioli mit Pommes und oder Brot wärmstens empfehlen.

Gutes Essen mit spanisch / portugiesischem Schwerpunkt.

Wir waren zu Viert mit Hund ohne Reservierung und haben zum Glück noch einen Tisch bekommen. Und das an einem Freitag Abend. Wir haben reichlich Tapas ausgewählt und es war sehr lecker. Es fehlte am Ende nur der Pfiff. Etwas mehr Gewürze, etwas Pikantes fehlte. Man schmeckte nicht den Unterschied von Hühnchen- und Schweinefleisch. Alles war in derselben Sauce mariniert. Aber dennoch, waren die Bäuche voll und wir waren glücklich einen netten Abend dort verbracht zu haben. Der Service war aufmerksam und die Toiletten sauber. Gerne wieder.

Klein, aber fein. Im Ernst, es ist ein sehr gemütliches Restaurant. Das Personal ist top... sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Die Speisekarte ist vielseitig und für jeden Geschmack sind auch Angebote dabei. Alles wirkt frisch zubereitet. Mein mit Pilzen und Gorgonzola ueberbackenes Steak war sehr saftig und würzig... Ich komme wieder und kann dieses Restaurant empfehlen...

Wir waren heute das erste mal im El Toro in Osnabrück, wir waren auf dem Geburtstag meines Neffen eingeladen. Leider wurden wir sehr enttäuscht. Das Personal schien nicht sehr motiviert zu sein und kamen zum Teil unfreundlich rüber. Das Fleisch schmeckte wurde aber leider nicht warm serviert, die Speisen kamen kalt an. Wir hatten den Raum etwas festlich mit Ballons dekoriert. Nach der Feier haben wir alles aufgeräumt und den ganzen Müll (Ballons usw) entsorgt. Zuhause angekommen bekam meine Schwester einen Anruf und wurde aufgefordert nochmal hin zu fahren um den Eingang zu fegen da dort noch Schnipsel der Ballons liegen würden… So etwas haben wir noch nie Erlebt und wir haben schon in vielen Restaurants gefeiert. Für uns das erste und letzte mal im EL Toro!

Charmanter Service gepaart mit super Speisen. Es wurde auf jegliche (zugegeben auch nervige) Wünsche eingegangen und TOP beraten. Wir sind wegen dem vielen Knoblauch nicht so die typischen Tapas-Gäste. Aber hier fühlt man sich einfach sehr wohl. Der nette Herr hatte den perfekten Überblick über alle Gäste, war stets aufmerksam und einfach unglaublich freundlich. Profi halt. Würde ich auch einstellen. So muss Gastronomie sein, spitze! Der gute Service fing schon beim ersten telefonischen Kontakt an, wir wurden extra zurück gerufen, um fehlende „Corona“-Bestimmungen nachzureichen. Im Restaurant war die Bedienung sehr herzlich. Die Tapas-Platte war super, wurden aber von der Alioli-Creme noch übertroffen.

Ich habe das El Toro während eines geschäftlichen Aufenthalts in Osnabrück besucht. Die Tapas waren wirklich lecker und Preis/Leistung waren in Ordnung. Der Service war gut, und ich musste nicht lange warten. Da es noch relativ warm war, habe ich dmich n Biergarten besucht, der gastlich ist, und weit genug von der Hauptstraße entfernt. Besonders lecker fand ich die frittierten Sardellen. Das Aioli hatte für meinen Geschmack zu wenig Knoblauch, aber das ist Geschmacksache.

Freundlicher , schneller Service, Einrichtung okay, man hat ordentlich Platz. Das Essen ist schnell am Tisch und schmeckt auch, aber leider handelt es sich bei einigen Tapas um Fertiggerichte. Die kann ich auch zu Hause machen, z.B. die Albondigas.

Blitzschnelle , sehr freundliche und kompetente Bedienung . Die Tapas sind absolut unschlagbar & auch noch recht erschwinglich. Wir waren zu viert und alle rundum zufrieden.

Auf einem Donnerstagabend im El Toro mit 4 Personen gewesen. Bevor wir etwas bestellen konnten sind schon 20 Minuten vergangen und wir waren schon am überlegen wieder zu gehen. Haben uns aber entschieden zu bleiben. Lokal relativ gut besucht aber nur zwei Servicekräfte. Nachdem wir endlich bestellt hatten, dauerte es weitere 25 Minuten bis die Vorspeise kam und nach der Vorspeise weitere 30 Minuten bis zur Hauptspeise. Erschwerend kam dann noch dazu das das Essen dann nicht so geliefert wurde wie bestellt. Wollten eigentlich noch ein Dessert einnehmen haben aber darauf verzichtet da wir dann vielleicht nochmal hätten 30 Minuten warten müssen. Das was wir zu Essen bekamen war in Ordnung.
